The PPP Loan Application Deadline Is Here, $130 Billion Is Unspent | Eater

"Accepted a multi-million-dollar PPP loan in the program’s initial wave, drawing backlash for taking large relief intended for small businesses; the loan to this high-profile steakhouse was frequently cited as an example of how the program’s early rollout favored established chains over smaller, often underserved restaurants that faced greater barriers to accessing aid." - Elazar Sontag

How Shake Shack and Sweetgreen Ended Up With Small-Business Loans | Eater

"A large national steakhouse chain faced heavy public criticism for accepting millions in Paycheck Protection Program funds intended for small businesses; its eligibility stemmed from a CARES Act provision that assessed restaurants by employees “per physical location” (500 or fewer), a change advocated by the Independent Restaurant Coalition rather than the chains themselves." - Caleb Pershan

Incredible deal on the $55 5 course special. Steak was cooked for perfection. Best crab cakes. Bear cheesecake I've ever had, and I don't even like cheesecake. They had an issue with our older gift card, but were able to come to a good compromise. Bar staff was good.

Went there to celebrate a birthday with our neighbors and it was my first time. The valet was $15, but my mom is 89 so it was worth it to just pop out right in front. The host saw ee had made reservations and brought us to our table. The menu was clear and easy to pick. We all got the three-part dinner. Steak, mashed potatoes, a vegetable, and dessert. Very delicious filets and tender and juicy. Mom and I got virgin Chi Chis to drink. Everyone else got sodas or water. They have a large wine selection too. After we had the bread and butter and our meals we were treated to free cake for all due to my birthday. I also ordered crème brûlée and it was delicious!! All in all a great night and perfect meal!

Always a pleasure and treat to dine here at Ruth Chris. I hadnt been to Ruth Chris in a few years until last night to celebrate my 18th birthday and forgot how much I missed it. The atmosphere and customer service was so lovely and truly boujee. Both my menu and my free cheesecake dessert were specialized and said Happy 18th Birthday Angelynn on it. The table was also covered with birthday sequins all over! We brought an extra cake from Portos as well for me and my parents to share for the celebration and they were able to store it in their fridge during dinner and put a candle on it when desert came out! Now onto the food: The filet steak is definitely a must get; I got the petite filet medium and it was SO tender, juicy, perfectly seasoned, and literally melted in my mouth. The calamari had a unique twist to it and tasted of sweet/sour sauce. Of course the bread, baked potato, and au gratin were classics and delicious.Thank you Ruth Chris for making my birthday so special and elegant! I will be coming back again in the future!

Got a card for my parents years ago, and took Mom here recently. Very glad they had valet parking. I always wonder about places that make you wait 15-20 min when you have a reservation. The service was excellent. French onion soup very good. The mushrooms and creamed spinach didn't survive long. Now, as far as the meat... the 'petite' filet was larger than expected. The ribeye was OK. Both needed a bit more salt. Loved that all the dishes we served piping hot. I have to come clean about one thing though. The staff should never presume and claim that the steaks are going to be the best you've ever had in your life. The meat was a solid B+. But how are they to know if you've had steak in Argentina, Brazil, Japan, and London?

I really enjoyed my Greatest Dinner there. The Manager Dylan L. was very Kind and Nice. This is why I could get Very Smooth Service. I could enjoy Excellent Cuisine, Tremendous Service, and Marvelous Atmosphere. If I have an Opportunity, I will be there to enjoy my Wonderful Dinner.

Google
Overall food and dining experience was wonderful. Our server, Gary, was very pleasant and also very well paced in serving us. We never felt rushed but we never had to wait for him when we needed something. Food was excellent as expected. We ordered the bone in filet and ribeye in medium rare. Overall, very wonderful experience and would recommend this location for any special occasion or looking to enjoy great steaks.

Was surprised that this location was in mall location. We were expecting a expecting a stand alone building with different at atmosphere. The food was great through and service was spectacular!

Google
If you are celebrating anything this is the place to do it. Absolutely wonderful steakhouse with service that goes above and beyond. I went the Ruth’s Classic, which is the best option in my opinion. A prix fixe meal that comes with an appetizer, entree, side, and dessert. Honestly a perfect meal I was absolutely stuffed at the end.

Yelp
Ruth's Chris never disappoints. Not even with their Dine LA menu. I thought the portions would be smaller but they are not. They are exactly the same as if you would order them a la carte. The service is just as wonderful - our server Wally was attentive as he was hilarious. He made sure our water glasses were always full and was nearby in case we needed anything else. He made us feel so cared for and we appreciated him so much for that especially because I had a hard week. Ruth's Chris is perfect for any occasion. We go when we want to celebrate something big or mundane because no matter what, the dining experience is consistently fantastic. We always get so much value - we never leave without doggy bags of leftovers.

Yelp
Yesterday, we had dinner at Ruth's Chris, and I noticed that the quality of the food has declined. We've dined here before and experienced great food, but this time it was mediocre at best--nothing special at all. If you're spending $80 to $100 per person, the experience should be worth it more importantly the food. The quality! I would recommend Steak 48 to anyone who truly appreciates good quality meat and food. In my opinion, this place deserves only 3 stars at best. It makes sense that when a chain restaurant expands too much, the quality decreases, and that's definitely the case with Ruth's Chris in Pasadena. Enjoy wasting your money here.

Yelp
First time at Ruth's Chris and the steak definitely lived up to the hype--cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Definitely the best part of the meal. The lobster was just okay, a bit overcooked. Sides were underwhelming: mashed potatoes were basic, broccoli was mostly yellow and bland, and the goat cheese artichoke dip was tasty but went to waste since you're only given a couple pieces of bread to share. Seems like they easily could've done better there. How much could a couple more pieces of bread cost you? Salad was fresh but the balsamic dressing was overwhelmingly globbed on, way too tangy for that much dressing. Service was what you'd expect at an upscale steakhouse--professional, attentive, and paced well to allow for the presentation. I was here for a sponsored pharma dinner of ~30 and the private room worked well for the event. Projector setup from the ceiling had me craning my neck up the whole time. Attire was business casual or nicer. Valet available, but parking garage across the street isn't validated. Overall: great free steak, meh everything else. Would I come back and pay full price? Maybe--for the steak alone. Still gave 4 stars since I have been craving a correctly cooked steak and they hit it on mark with that.

Yelp
Twelve years ago, I came to Ruth's Chris for the first time and it completely changed everything I thought I knew about steak. It was a game-changer. Coming back more than a decade later, I was nervous I had built it up too much in my head, worried it wouldn't live up to the memory. Alas, it was every bit as incredible as the first time. My wife and I chose to celebrate our anniversary here, and from the moment we arrived, the experience felt special. The table was decorated with hearts, and the menu was personalized with our names, a thoughtful and unexpected touch. Our server, "Stone Cold Steve" Patrick (he'll get it if he sees this), was outstanding. Friendly, personable, and incredibly knowledgeable, he went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect. We started with the warm, complimentary bread and butter, followed by the French Onion soup (soup of the day), which was the ideal start to a cozy dinner on a cold, rainy night. For appetizers, we had the Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes. Both are fantastic. The Brussels sprouts are roasted, served with crispy bacon and a touch of honey butter that adds just the right amount of sweetness. And the garlic mashed potatoes are exactly what you want next to a great steak: creamy, flavorful, and comforting. For our main course, we shared the Porterhouse for Two, ordered medium. It arrived slightly more on the medium-rare side (still delicious) but the staff insisted on correcting it and returned it perfectly cooked. To make up for the mix-up, they also gave us a complimentary sweet potato casserole, which turned out to be an unexpected highlight. I normally wouldn't think to order it, but it tasted like Thanksgiving. It's warm, spiced, and topped with a crisp pecan crust. As for the steak: it was simply phenomenal. The Porterhouse for Two is Ruth's Chris' signature cut, combining the best of both worlds - a flavorful New York Strip on one side and a tender Filet Mignon on the other, served sizzling on a 500-degree plate to keep every bite hot and juicy (watch the video I posted to hear that beautiful sound). It reminded me exactly why I fell in love with this place in the first place. We paired it with a glass of red wine, expertly recommended by Patrick, and it brought everything together beautifully. To top off the night, they brought us a complimentary cheesecake dessert with two glasses of champagne to celebrate our anniversary, yet another thoughtful gesture that really made the evening feel special. All in all, it was a flawless experience: warm service, incredible food, and the perfect setting for a memorable date night. I definitely won't be waiting another 12 years to come back.

Yelp
Came here for a date night with the hubs. We ordered the filet mignon with shrimp and the sea bass. The filet mignon was delicious and cooked to perfection. The cesar salad however was pretty bad - it was super salty and drenched in dressing. The customer service was outstanding - the manager came over to check on us and our waiter was extremely attentive and polite. Parking was valet but you can also park across the street in the public parking covered garage. I recommend Ruth's for date night but overall I think I like other steakhouses more - so I honestly probably won't be back even though the food was great (except cesar salad!).

Yelp
The food was all on point, everything was delicious, we had steak, lobster, sides and the cheese cake OMG, yum! Service was excellent, Kenny made my son feel special his special night. Loved the attention he got. The atmosphere was great, always clean and organized. BTW the blueberry mojito was 5/5

Yelp
Loved this meal 16 oz sirloin steak and salmon. Sides consisted of creamed spinach and mashed potatoes (no pic) and their salad was a nice portion. Their bread loaf (no pic) was very warm and whipped butter was easily spreadable! Located off Colorado Nlvd & Los Robles in beautiful Pasadens.

Yelp
Beautiful and classy restaurant in Pasadena, so parking can be difficult depending on time of day. We came in during dinner on a weekday and we were able to find street parking only a block away. Service here is excellent. Servers are attentive to your requests and do a wonderful job serving our table. We came here for a financial seminar so the meal was complimentary, but I've been here previously as a paying customer, and the quality of their service and food is top notch. Everyone has their preference on steak flavor/seasoning. Ruth Chris is known for the buttery steaks and I love it. Each steak is served on a HOT cask iron plate with sizzling butter - delish! Their sides are also very good - we had the cream spinach and garlic mash potatoes. These aren't diet dishes, their splurge and indulgent dishes - so enjoy. They also have a pretty decent happy hour in the bar area.

Yelp
Came here to celebrate my birthday! We were welcomed with some nice confetti on the table and a personalized menu. Nice touches! Our server was Destiny, she was so sweet and took her time to explain the menu and chat with us. Super friendly, would return just for her! My husband ordered the ribeye, medium rare. He liked it, but said it was a bit greasy as there was a bunch of oil on his plate. I ordered the petite fillet with scallops, which was on the seasonal menu. Both were well seasoned. The garlic mashed potatoes did not have enough garlic, it was just like normal mashed potatoes. The mushrooms were good but a bit salty. All the dishes were good but nothing extraordinary. We received a complimentary cheesecake for my birthday. This was the perfect end to our dinner :)

Yelp
What isn't amazing about this place?! Came here for me and my mom's birthdays, both our names were written on our menus! The service here is always top notch, better than many other high end steak houses in LA. The prices are similar to any high end place, but the steaks here are always cooked so well. The service was exceptional, from the time we entered til we left. The appetizers were delish, we had the tuna and calamari. My wife had lamb chops cooked medium, which were perfect. I got the ribeye medium rare and oscar, it was also cooked to perfection. The cheesecake was a nice end to the night, so good! People knock RC because it's a chain, but don't let that fool you. Everything about this place is top notch and will make you feel full and happy.

Yelp
Celebrated a birthday dinner here and food was really good. Both our first times and they printed our menu with each of our names on it for keepsakes! Ribeye steak was very juicy and tender which was seasoned perfectly. Lobster mac n cheese had a good amount of meat on top and wasn't overwhelmingly cheesy.

Yelp
I want to give a huge shoutout to our waitress, Jessica, at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in Pasadena. From start to finish, she provided stellar service and made sure we had a truly memorable dining experience. Jessica was very attentive, friendly, and professional. She anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and made us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout the evening. Also, to Scott, the former manager who is no longer at the Pasadena location -- you are truly missed.

Yelp
Valet parking helped for my elderly mom. Walked in and they were ready for us as we had reservations and they were very nice and seated us immediately. The waiter came right away and got our drink orders. Mom and I got virgin chi chis, and our neighbors all got sodas or water. We then ordered right away and most of us got their three part meal as its a good deal. Filet steak with mashed potatoes and a vegetable or in my case I got their delicious French onion soup with cheese on top. So good!!! The steaks were delicious and tender and juicy. Some of our party got lobster and I think shrimp. (SEE MY PHOTOS). We were treated to free cake as one of us had a birthday. Very good cake. And I also ordered creme brulee. Delicious !!! When we were done we left and walked right out to our car and it was all and all, a great meal. The interior was very posh and they had a lot of wine to choose from and fancy inside. Classy place for sure.

Yelp
My partner and I went to Ruth's Chris steak house to celebrate our 3 year anniversary last night. We had and amazing time. From the beginning of us checking in Antonio really went out of his way to be hospitable. To our server Destiny who was amazing! She was very professional and attentive. Everyone from the staff that we interacted with were very hospitable and kind. We had the porterhouse for two, the steak was phenomenal! The filet mignon side of the steak melted in our mouth's like butter. The steak house bought us an appetizer we chose the crab cakes. They were delicious! I also had the Greygoose dirty martini with delicious blue cheese stuffed olives. We sat at a booth, the dim lighting throughout the restaurant made the ambience feel very private and romantic. Ruth's Chris steakhouse staff really went out of their way to make our anniversary magical! We will definitely be back to celebrate more special occasions here. Thank you!

Yelp
We came here to celebrate a wedding anniversary. When my husband called to make a reservation they took note of what we're celebrating and even customized our menus to wish both of us a happy anniversary by name. This was the best calamari I've ever had, and I order calamari at every restaurant that has calamari on their menu. It's served with more of a sweet chili sauce than a traditional marinara. I could have ordered a second plate. And the red bell peppers were a yummy pairing. Everytime we eat at Ruth's Chris we always order the lobster Mac and cheese. My shrimp and salmon were cooked to perfection. And the table bread was so yummy!

Yelp
Steak was amazing ribeye and filet mignon but our server Claudia was a classy lady, first time definitely not our last Thank you Claudia for making our aniversario especial

Yelp
Everything was to perfection! From the service, to the food. The ambiance is always nice there. We had the cowboy ribeye which is shareable, along with with asparagus, garlic mash and mushrooms. Our server was Cora and did an outstanding job. She was very friendly, detailed, very consistent. We were celebrating my husbands mothers heavenly birthday and she ended our night with a special treat which made it even more special.
google avatar

Yelp
Our server was very nice, informative and accommodating. It's a dim setting so bring your reading glasses lol all the food was fresh and tasty the lobster mac & cheese could've used a little more cheese, but it was good. Very clean restaurant. perfect place to take your significant other for a romantic dinner or to celebrate an anniversary . Would go back.

Yelp
If you're looking for a dinning experience that seamlessly blends warm hospitality delectable cuisines, and stunning ambiance, look no further than Ruth Chris. We came for Friday night dinner to celebrate my wife's and dear friend's birthdays and weren't disappointed. The restaurant made this celebration extra special with happy birthday menus, confetti on the table, and complimentary desserts. From the moment we walked into the restaurant we were greeted by a warm and accommodating hostess staff that set the tone for a memorial evening. Our Lead Server Jorge was amazing, he walked us through the menu and made certain excellent recommendations. Now let's talk about the heart and soul of Ruth Chris, the food. The menu boasts an array American steakhouse cuisine that transported our tastebuds to various levels. Each dish we ordered was a culinary masterpiece with a perfect blend of flavors and textures that showcased management's commitment to quality and authenticity. In conclusion, Ruth Chris is an iconic gem that goes beyond just being a restaurant but an experience. It succeeded our expectations not only by satisfying our palates but created a long lasting impression of an amazing dinning experience. The spot is definitely a Chef driven culinary destination that has encouraged return visits, we'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Came here for my 15th year anniversary, on the section for special requests, I asked for "Happy 15th Anniversary Emily & Jeff" to be typed out. They missed the detail of the 15th... but oh wells. When we got there, you have the option of paying for valet, or also parking across the street. We were seated promptly at a table with some decorations on it and our personalized menu. We got started on some warm yummy bread and butter and appetizers of crab cakes and lobster bisque. The crab cakes were the best I've ever haddd! The lobster bisque tasted a bit too much like wine, so I would pass on that. As for the lobster mac and cheese and garlic mashed potatoes, they were also okay, the steaks were good and cooked to perfection, my lobster tasted a bit overcooked for my preference. Overall, this was not a bad experience, I'd come back, especially for the crab cakes!
google avatar

Yelp
It started horribly wrong but it ended in great satisfaction. They literally forgot about our table for the first 30min, but it was a simple human error, they were busy. Since this was our anniversary, we were not happy about the initial experience. After notifying the staff, they really made it up. Exceptional service! The place was busy but good vibe. The food was great, however, they do use a LOT of butter. I love butter, but i figured it may not be the same for everyone's liking. I highly recommend this place, the waiters are attentive and I really appreciate the great experience, they understood their mistakes and made up 100x more than what I expected.
google avatar

Yelp
Food and service are great here. The ambiance is ok. The inside is not as cool as STK but Ruth Chris's is still better food wise. We crushed a tomahawk, lobster Mac and cheese, sweet potato casserole, mushrooms, creamed spinach, side lobster tail, and a Caesar salad. The food was delicious. The tomahawk in my opinion ranks third best in this city compared to only #2 Strand in Manhattan Beach and number 1 is Gardel's on Melrose. Great job on that. The lobster mac was tasty. The sweet potato was the show stopper here and I highly recommend it. All in all this was a fantastic experience. Best of all this lovely place made a birthday menu for the homie.
google avatar

Rachel W.

Yelp
The cowboy ribeye was the best steak I have had in quite a while! The meat was very fragrant, tender, juicy and had just the right amount of fattiness. The tomahawk ribeye was a bit more lean, but still had a very rich flavour. We ordered medium rare and the steaks came perfectly cooked. The hot plates also helped the steak to stay warm during the entire dinner. However, the side of mushrooms was too salty for our liking. The restaurant was clean, spacious and elegantly decorated. Service was excellent.

SanMarino G.

Yelp
Ruth's Chris always serves tasty, top-of-the-line cuisine. Did not disappoint. What made this dining experience exceptional, however, was the staff. Hostess Samantha was charming, and accommodated our request with just the right table. Victor, the server, was amazing! His requisite duties were impeccably executed. The entertainment he provided, with his delightful sense of humor and amusing repartee, made it seem as if we were dining with an old friend--almost a "Comedy Club" experience. Such an enjoyable evening! We shall return.
google avatar

Franklin M.

Yelp
We attended a group event in a private room. The menu choices were good and we ordered a rib eye steak and the veggie broccoli steak. We shared sides which consisted of a cheesy veggie dip, mash potatoes, spinach dip, and warm fresh bread. My steak was big and came out exactly as expected and the sides were really good, not the best but really good.
google avatar

Alex P.

Yelp
Overall good experience! Went here for happy hour, just a few drinks and some food. Food was good and drinks were great! We got the lychee martini and pomegranate martini! Loved both. Service was very good and the vibe was nice. It wasnt busy which was nice. For food, we got the meatballs, crab cake, burger, onion rings and chicken sandwich. The burger was a little dry but still good. The onion rings looked like they'd be nice and crunchy, but it was more soggy. I did like this place tho, so I'd probably return.
google avatar

Yelp
The Anaheim location has an open air feeling to it. Bring $8 for valet parking because honestly there's no where else to park. The bread is fresh and hot with whipped butter. The appetizers our server Terri recommended were great, we had the BBQ shrimp and crab cake, but she also enlightened us by recommending the pomegranate martini which my husband claims is the best martini he has ever had and even ordered a second one (which he never does). Terri also had great suggestions about the rubs and different steaks to utilize them on. You can't choose wrong, both the bleu cheese and the truffle rub are delicious. Another surprise was the sweet potato souffle. It was almost like a dessert, melted in your mouth. Terri provided excellent service, made you feel right at home and was so very helpful for celebrating a birthday. We may have to go back sooner rather than later!!

Yelp
Well, this is my first review in the new Yelp "box". Let's see if they got the spell and grammer check fixed. I'm all thumbs when it comes to texting on my phone. And why does it tell me I'm not connected to the internet every time? Am I the only one? Lol Moving along, sorry... Ah yes! Alberto's! That was the name of our waiter and he did an exceptional job with one exception! The exception? He brought us some old fashioneds that looked like they were made at the Olive Garden bar, not one at a Prime Steakhouse: no boss block of ice, no luxardo cherry and watered down. No bueno. Alberto got us back on track, and a few old fashioneds later, dinner was amazing. The atmosphere was lively with several celebrations and dinner parties. We got an awesome booth facing out to the dining room and Colorado Boulevard. It was the best table in the house. My compliments to the host for coming through with my request. For the meal, we startes with an okay wedge salad. The saving grace of this meal and dinner, besides Alberto, was the porterhouse for 2 cooked to perfection- tender, beefy and melt in your mouth bliss- and the sides. The always delicious sweet potato casserole cruated with candied pecans, wowzers! Lobstah mac n cheese that actually has lobstah in it (sorry Fleming's... step your game up)! Delicious, Delicious, Delicious. Would have been a 5 Star meal had the old fashioneds from the bar looked like old fashioneds from the start, and add some more bacon to the wedge, please. This is a steakhouse, after all.

Yelp
Was in the mood for a nice steak so I came to one of my favorite steakhouses to get a juicy flavorful ribeye with a lobster tail on the side my waiter was amazing excellent customer service I forgot his name but he was the greatest....

Yelp
Need a classy steak house for high end, fine dining? Ruth's Chris should be at the top of everybody's LA list. I am not a steak guy but I can't resist their buttery cut along with all the sides. It is THE birthday/anniversary spot. But, have you considered having an event there? Robbie B is here to say don't sleep on the idea. I hosted my office holiday party (for 50) at the Pasadena location and it was a hit! And, an affordable hit at that. Parking is hopeless, but there's a office lot up the street (corner of Euclid and Union) that costs $5 -- totally worth it as the parking ticket meter vendor in Pasadena is ruthless. They must get paid per ticket written. Just the worst! For events, the Pasadena location has two totally private rooms -- Ruth's Room (for about 10-25 or so) and the West Wing room (for about 50 or so). We had the West Wing for lunch and they give you three hours. The set up was amazing -- totally decorated with extra tables set up for gifts and our White Elephant exchange nonsense. I had five tables of eight plus some fancy banquettes. Each guest gets a menu (which they print for you with your own text at the top) and we had some special with a freebie champagne toast. There were three entree choices (one steak, one fish, one vegetarian) with sides (I chose them in advance) served family style. Plus cheesecake for dessert. Prices change, so check their web site, but I could not have done it cheaper. And, it's so private and fancy. We felt like we had the restaurant to ourselves. Service is over the top. Somehow they served 50 people all at once. Ten stars.

Yelp
Haven't been back here in ages. All the staff is great. The hosts were friendly checking us in. The place is still very nice. Nice ambiance. Lighting is dim so may make it hard to see menu or take good food pics. Ha. The 2 servers assisting us for the evening were Cora and Anthony. They were amazing. 10/10 on service. Food was very good but not as great as I remembered. We split a cowboy rib eye, Brussels sprouts and mac and cheese for sides. The rib eye was very good but not as great as I've had at other steakhouses with similar price points. The Brussels sprouts were good but felt like it was missing something. My wife says it needed more balsamic vinegar. I do like that they have a kids menu. My kids had the sliders and the kids salmon from the kids menu. Sliders were tasty but the salmon was a bit undercooked. Overall a very nice experience. They don't have a parking lot. You can park on the street or one of the parking lots nearby for a fee. The valet offered in front of restaurant is $15.

Yelp
I love Ruth's Chris. My aunt took me and my mom out for an early Mother's Day dinner. We dined in the bar area for happy hour and had a great time. I have not been to this location for happy hour since COVID. The ambiance, food, and service were superb. The food was tasty as usual and filled with love. I Highly recommend this location for happy hour and dinner. Note: Their pomegranate and lemon martinis are delicious and filled with a nice amount of alcohol

Yelp
My son invited me for a special dinner and wow what a surprise. The food was delicious, the best filet I ever ate and the brussel sprouts were amazing on top of that my drink was the best blueberry mojito my favorite drink from now on. And the dessert was fabulous. If I can give the place 10 stars I will... The service was wonderful Cora made sure we had everything and explained the menu and best options. The chef came out to ask if everything was up to my taste. Everyone was very welcoming and sweet. The Restaurant is extremely proper and super clean everywhere you look. Love the decor on the walls, ceiling and the roses is such a touch. My first time visiting the restaurant and for sure won't be the last. Recommended it...

Yelp
I recently returned back to Ruth's Chris for a Mother's Day dinner celebration and it was just as good if not better than what I remembered! The service is wonderful and attentive. The food was delicious. The lobster mac and cheese is some of the best I've had from a steakhouse and they serve you a lot. The filet steak was tender and very flavorful. My husband tried the truffle crust this time on his ribeye and it added a whole other yummy dimension. The only new thing I tried and did not care for was the creamed spinach. Otherwise, everything was amazing. The ambiance is much quieter than other steakhouses. I love the ease of valet parking right in front of the restaurant but there is a parking garage across the street as well.

Yelp
Let's talk about a steakhouse experience done RIGHT. I was out in Pasadena and made a last-minute reservation at Ruth's Chris. It had been years since my last visit, and honestly, I have no idea why I ever stopped coming. First things first--our waiter understood the mission. I ordered a dirty martini and made it very clear: I wanted it stinkin' dirty. And let me tell you, that martini was so perfectly filthy it should've come with a PG-13 warning. A+ execution. Then came the food. That signature sizzle of a steak arriving on a heated plate, swimming in butter? Music to my ears. My filet was melt-in-your-mouth perfection, and the only thing I regret was the asparagus was a bit tough. The service? Top-notch. The atmosphere? Classic and cozy. The butter? Flowing freely like a beautiful, golden river of happiness. Moral of the story: I won't be waiting years to come back

Yelp
Made reservations for four with friends. 1700 hours. We were sat down at a very nice table overlooking Colorado Blvd. Patrick was our waiter. He was excellent, professional and jovial with us. We ordered drinks and main courses. Drinks were superb. My wife and I ordered sea bass, omg, it melted in our mouths. My friends orders steak and salmon with shrimp, sides were garlic mashed potatoes, asparagus, Brussels sprouts and sweet potato casserole. Everything was A-1. Definitely will be back. Thank you to Patrick and rest of staff for making this a very enjoyable evening. Jeff Downey

Yelp
Here for my birthday and had a good time! The table was set up with happy birthday confetti and the menu also says happy birthday which was pretty detailed. Our waiter (sorry I forgot his name) was very friendly and helpful, he recommended a couple dishes and they were all good. At the end, they also gave me a happy birthday dessert :) The whole dining room was pretty dark and they have a LED candle on each table, I wish the candle can be brighter, kinda too dark for me.

Yelp
Everything was spectacular, the steak was the best steak I have ever had. Service was amazing thank you Robert. Thank you to manager Elias whom was very present checking on everyone and very attentive. All the food from the stuffed mushrooms to the salad and our sides the main dish, plates are hot so your food stays hot through the dinner. The creme Brule and espresso was also amazing. Thank you for a great night we will be back.

Yelp
Wow, I can't believe this was my first time eating here. My parents were in town to celebrate my surviving open heart surgery 3 weeks earlier. Despite the fact I as the only one who didn't order red meat, everything I did have was delicious. We ordered appetizers and cocktails first. The family all had rib eye steaks and we ordered several family style sides to share.I had the crab cakes (delicious!) and lots of veg. At the end, I was served a special dessert that was dairy-free and had "Congratulations" written on the plate, while the family gorged on cheesecake, creme brûlée and bread pudding. The service was truly the best part, though. I pulled aside our server and told her that both my parents are hearing impaired and Mom is blind in the right eye. Everyone who served us was careful to approach Mom from the left and to get both parents' attention before speaking to them. This is a truly wonderful dining experience and I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Enjoyed a wonderful dinner on a Friday night. We started with drinks during happy hour at the bar, Leah was a great bartender and took great care of us before we moved over to our table for our reservation where Robert took over as our server. I notified Robert of my dairy intolerance and he made sure no dairy made it to my plate. He checked on us often and offered just the best service. The manager Julia also checked on us to make sure that we were satisfied with our experience, which we definitely were. The restaurant is large, but I definitely recommend you book a reservation!

Yelp
I host Happy Hours for individuals that are 50 years of age and older. My guests LOVE when I create a Happy Hour event at Ruth Chris! The service is wonderful, as soon as you walk inside all employee's from hosts to wait staff are pleasant and engaged with all the patrons. The bar is small and intimate, there are a few tables for set up to accommodate parties of 2, 4 and 6. There is also a bar top seating approximately 8-12 individuals. Swizzle & Swirl the name of the happy hour features: full size hamburgers, steak sandwiches and a chicken sandwich. Other items include zucchini fries, spicy shrimp, seared ahi tuna. Sandwiches priced at $13-19 Cocktails priced at $12-13 dollars, wine priced at $10 and featured beers starting at $6. Street parking and Valet parking is available.

Yelp
I came here for my son's graduation and we really had a great experience. From the food to the staff. I loved how they had his name on the menu and our waiter Hugo was very attentive and polite. First time here and I can say that we would definitely go back for another special occasion.

Yelp
As a self profess, the foodie, I really don't know how I've never dined at Chris steakhouse. My husband and I went for a friends birthday and everything from the valet to the final dessert. Service was absolutely wonderful. I'm going to save the best for last which was the food. everything we got was literally like a professional chef had prepared the meal in my mama's kitchen. Seasoned to perfection of course it's Ruth Chris so it was a little pricey, but worth every dime cocktails were on point service was great. We were seated in a private room for our party of eight and it was, a little weird at first because it was so quiet, but we quickly filled the room with laughter. It was just a really super night out and again, the food was excellent. By the way, some people in my party got the steaks and said they were good, but I got the lamb and it was GREAT!

Yelp
I was already a huge fan of Ruth's Chris. Their food is fantastic, the value of Ruth's Classic is one of the best deals out there, and the staff is always great. That being said tonight's experience took it up 10 notches. How much is a notch, I have no actual clue, but my point is my family had one of our best dining experiences ever. Wally was the absolute greatest right from the moment we sat down, and Robert was also super attentive and helpful. I mention their names because anyone reading this should ask for them when you dine at this location. What made our dinner so great tonight was that we were welcomed into the restaurant and treated like family. Not like a cousin you're not sure you like and barely see, but like a favorite uncle or sibling. We had a large party for a birthday, and Wally made sure to acknowledge that many times, take care of my parents, my brother (whose birthday it was) and everyone else at the table to ensure the food was to their liking and came out quickly. Everyone left with a smile on their face, and although this location is definitely not the closest to my house, I would come back specifically because of the A+ experience we had tonight. Kudos to the management, staff, hostess, and chefs at the Pasadena Ruth's Chris for their kindness and attentiveness - the pride everyone took in their work did not go unnoticed.

Yelp
Got to give a shout-out to Wally. He was an amazing server for the night and was personable throughout the whole experience. Parking: After 6 pm, parking on the side streets in front of the meters is free. Or you can park in the Big Colorado parking structure but there is a parking fee. Chef's special: Lobster Bisque would not recommend it. Kinda tasted more metallic than seafood. House Salad sauce was light and the greens were fresh and cripsy. Would recommend as a starter because the dessert and entree will fill you up. Lobster and Steak 6 oz (medium rare) side was mushrooms. The steak was cooked and seasoned well. The lobster tail was also cooked perfectly. There was a heaping portion of mushrooms for a side dish. Tip: You can switch out the sides for an alternative but it will be a $5 charge. You however won't be able to order the lobster Mac and cheese side. Shrimp and Steak 6 oz (medium rare) side was Brussels sprouts. There were 3 jumbo shrimps and they were so juicy. Brussels sprouts were more on the mushy side not the crispy kind but still good. Cheesecake: One of the best cheesecakes I have ever had! The presentation looks different from a regular cheesecake because the interior looks more like pudding than a dense cheesecake. But holy moly was it good, the texture was light and airy.

Yelp
I came here for mine and my dad's birthday and the food and service did not disappoint. The food was cooked to perfection and Hugo provided excellent service throughout our meal. I'll be coming back. Ask for Hugo! He's great.

Yelp
Happy hour reviews: 1) Blueberry Mojito $12/16 (Happy hour or regular) 3.5-star: fresh berry n mint. I asked for min sweetness, it's bubbly light n refreshing. 2) * I've reviewed previously for the Steak Sandwich (delish) and Spicy Shrimp(deep fried, average flavor) Ordered Steak Sandwich again, it's still good! Service is nice @ the bar.

Yelp
Dined here with a gift card we received but left extremely unsatisfied with everything we had ordered. Service was great though. We ordered the ribeye, sea bass, and mashed potatoes, and creamed spinach as sides. Sides were what we expected. The sea bass was way too fatty/firm - we weren't big fans of this type of cut. I probably won't ever be back knowing the same amount of money can be spent better elsewhere.
