This was our first time there and we had a great experience. From the hostess sitting us right away for our reservation, to our server, Ulysses that was personable but not over the top. We've been to other notable steakhouse, but this by far was the best flavor and food to match the prices. We look forward to going again!

We went for the 3 courses for $55 & it was very nice! Our food was delicious! I love that the steak is served on butter! It is such a good touch! Our server was lovely! I just wish everyone that dined there treated the resturant like it deserves and respects the atmosphere of finer dining.

Yummy 😋 My husband and I had a great, enjoyable, and delicious dinner together on Easter @ Ruth Chris. I noted the smiles that greeted us from the host and the gentlemen that opened the door. Our waitress, she was dead on the money, very timely greeting us after we were seated and very attentive throughout our dining. Of course she offered the desert menu and although, we were stuffed, because of her great service we couldn’t say no, and ordered cheese cake and key lime pie. It was packed to go after eating half, very delicious 🤤 Our food was piping hot, very tasty, and cooked to perfection!! The lamb chops were ordered medium well and they were cooked as ordered as well as, the stuffed chicken. The size portions were plentiful, and by the time I ate my bread and dabbed into our sides. I only had room for one chop, so, we had to carry out our leftovers which was secured in foil inside of a carry out container. I thought was an excellent choice. The following Monday, my husband and so conversation was about how much of a good time we had and we really enjoyed our food and service. All I to say, we’ll see you soon!! ❤️

I was at another restaurant across the street and ended up leaving, walked into this restaurant and was greeted with complimentary valet, and doors opened for me. I then was greeted by a lovely hostess named Christine, with i'm assuming a gentleman who was the manager. I was sat and met with the wonderful server Kara who took my drink order within a minute of me sitting down. Overall experience here was a million times better than the other restaurant and the food was amazing. I got an 11 oz filet, the flavor was incredible, and it was cooked properly. The sides were also very tasty. Kara was amazing and very kind. Thank you Ruth’s Chris and staff for making my night better!

This was my first time eating here. It was amazing. The ambience was everything. I got the chicken stuffed cheese and three drinks. The soup was to die for. I had a great time. I give this restaurant a five star. I can’t wait to come back. The lobster 🦞 macaroni and cheese was the best I have ever had.

First time here, and had a great experience. Came early for a meeting, so we grabbed drinks at the bar - the bartender was excellent and the vibe was great. Dinner was fantastic! And the cheesecake dessert was so good!

Well, we decided to try Ruth Chris, steakhouse, cause we’ve heard so many good things about it. The steakhouse is located in Troy, just off of big Beaver Road and a real nice area. When we walked in, we’re a little bit shocked to see the clientele in the restaurant. It started off with a security guard by the door with a body cam on. We’ve never eaten at a steakhouse where we had to see a security guard with a body cam. So we went to sit at the bar and the bartender. Sean greeted us. He was really nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. Unfortunately, the clientele eating at the bar was not our type. We don’t wanna be judgmental, but it was very ratchet! As people came in through the front door to pick up their carry out orders, many of them if not most of them reeked like marijuana. You could smell marijuana in the place, as a matter of fact, the employees sprayed disinfectant in the air as people left because they smelt so bad. For the amount of money you pay for a great food, you expect great atmosphere, and a great environment to eat your food in. Unfortunately, we will not be back! With all that being said, our food was actually really good. We were there for happy hour and had the $45 Cabernet and steak, and the zucchini fries. The food was good, a little bit overpriced and we did not enjoy the atmosphere.

Google
Ruth’s Chris Steak House delivered an overall great experience. I would give it 4 stars overall. The filet was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. The stuffed mushrooms were full of flavor, and the sides, especially the potatoes au gratin and asparagus, were a hit. The Old Fashioned was also on point and complemented the meal perfectly. The staff was attentive, professional, and welcoming, which really added to the experience. This was my first time dining here and it definitely won’t be the last.

Yelp
Came here for the Dear One's Birthday. The service food and drinks were great. Had the Caesar salad along with steak and scalloped potatoes with cheese. My steak was medium, the rolls nice and soft and my old fashioned perfect. We had a great time.

Yelp
Tried the $55 three-course special at Ruth's Chris and honestly, it missed the mark. The salad looked nice but lacked any personality, and the steak presentation was sloppy. My side of creamed spinach was bland and disappointing. The only highlight was the lychee martinis; strong and delicious and the service was excellent. Dessert was a standard cheesecake. After drinks, I spent around $75, and for that price, I expected a much better meal. Not worth a repeat visit.

Yelp
Food was great. The only issue I had was with the dress code. When did a looney toones t shirt and sweat pants because business casual acceptable? If you're going to state your dress code online, you need to enforce it. Probably won't be back. Way too many other places to try.

Yelp
The food was amazing I was very pleased I didn't have send my steak back it was cooked to perfection. Our server Johnathan was very knowledgeable and attentive I'd give him 4 stars. The restaurant was clean and modern I love the booth or table options.

Yelp
Ruth's Chris Steak House This has been on my list for years. Finally got in. Don't get me wrong, I could come any day, but to get a RSVP on Valentine's Day is nearly impossible. Oddly the front desk area is very tight but friendly. The seating area is wide open. They have valet too. A little pricey compared to many steak establishments but worth the money. You get what you pay for. My steak was cooked medium and served on a 500F HOT plate and sizzling. No issues. Was expecting more for a $75 steak meal or better. Really wanted the PORTERHOUSE FOR TWO. I know the meat is considered the best in the country. "They use USDA Prime cuts of beef, which is considered the best quality in the United States". I had the New York bone-in steak(Ruth's favorite). My wife had the surf and turf (with two Jumbo lobster tail). Bread and butter were soft, good and perfect. All were delicious. I loved the crab cakes(served on 500F plate). Excellent. It was a dinning experience. Good staff. Quiet atmosphere. A welcome restaurant. A mix of guest. Great place for a quiet romantic date or event. Perfect evening. Will come again. Highly recommended

Yelp
Staff were phenomenal. Seriously. Very hospitable and attentive. I asked for nothing lol. Pleased with HH selections including cocktails. Check it out.

Yelp
Easy reservation process thru Open Table. We were promptly seated despite being a few minutes later, thank you. We were celebrating two couples with two separate anniversaries. What better way with Besties and delicious food. Our server(Elizabeth?) was exceptionally pleasant and offered a few choices and got our drinks started. Two Expresso Martinis for the ladies, a 9oz pour of Daou Cabernet for myself and whiskey for my buddy. The ladies did the Petite Filet with mashed potatoes and asparagus ala carte style. My buddy had the Lamb Chops the Lobster Bisque. I choice the 11oz Filter and the same Lobster Bisque. Plus, the Cream Spinach, one of my favorites. Everyone enjoyed exceptional service, food quality and value. Definitely worthy for a wonderful night out.

Yelp
This is a 4.5 out of 5. The food was great. We both had a filet and they were amazing. The Brussels sprouts were fantastic. The garlic mashed potatoes weee a touch too thin and I didn't notice any garlic, but good. The service- our waiter was attentive without driving us crazy. I do think an establishment of this caliber should train all its staff on proper wine bottle opening, pouring and handling. He struggled to open the bottle and brought an ice bucket for our red blend, no thank you. It did not detract from our experience, but there are some J-hole snobs that would take issue. Ambience - the booths are looking pretty tired and need some love. The edges have warn off and need improvement. But the space in total was lovely. The oddity - the bathroom experience. They were clean they were fine. But as we left we stepped into the facilities and each found them packed and barely navigable but the stalls were all open. Both facilities were filled with young people snapping pics with their fanned $100 bills or stuffing $100 bills into their dress. It was STRANGE. I don't know what was up, but we were ready to leave after that experience.

Yelp
Ruth's Chris Steak House is a good entry level steak house for the uninitiated who want something nicer than the other chain restaurants. It's a more upscale environment, but not too intimidating if you're not used to dressing nicer. They're very welcoming. NY strip with grilled shrimp- The butter comes out sizzling on this plate so don't dig in too fast! I thought the grilled shrimp, while large and impressive looking, didn't add much to the meal. I would just get the steak by itself. The steak itself was cooked perfectly and had a nice crust. Creamed spinach- OK so this is what you get to convince yourself that you're eating healthy for this meal. Decadant and rich, but also green so you know this is a balanced meal. This was seasoned perfectly and now I know why there's a million copy-cat recipes on the internet. Garlic mashed potatoes- There's nothing special about this, maybe a little light on the garlic flavor. It's hard to make mashed potatoes amazing, but very easy to mess up, so hats off! Cheesecake- This is large enough for two people. The crust is delicious, and the filling is every creamy and milky tasting.

Yelp
Great place for a romantic night, the food is consistently delicious, the staff is friendly and the ambiance is refreshing. The ribeye is a favorite dish with the scampi on top! A nice cut of stark sizzling on butter is a great way to make any meat lover ask for more. Their salads are fresh and use quality ingredients. For sure, a great place to celebrate a romantic evening.

Yelp
My family and I decided to have Thanksgiving dinner at Ruth's Chris this year instead of cooking at home. We have dined here previously, but not on a holiday. The restaurant had a welcoming and festive atmosphere. We had a wonderful server who was both friendly and had a great sense of humor. The Thanksgiving meal option consisted of a salad choice, roasted turkey with cranberry sauce, a side (sweet potato casserole, creamed spinach, or green beans), and pumpkin cheese cake for dessert. However, most of us opted for more traditional Ruth's Chris offerings. We started with my favorite appetizer: veal Osso bucco ravioli! My petit filet arrived on a sizzling plate and was perfectly cooked. The shrimp and filet entree was also delicious and an ample portion. Overall, we had such a great experience that my family will likely return next Thanksgiving!

Yelp
Stacey our server was a 20/10 EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE. Thank you Stacey for taking what was a horrible day and making me smile

Yelp
I went here with my sister a week ago for the first time and enjoyed the food. I like how close they are to my house and that, they have the sangria drink. They also sell tamales. Another thing about this place is that, It's easy to get to and there isn't a long wait and everything taste great.

Arthur O.

Yelp
I was there just passed Christmas Eve for the first time in many years. I had the most incredible New York strip that I've ever had in Michigan melted in your mouth. You thought you were eating a fillet outside of that. The best steak I ever had was that Peter Luger in Brooklyn, New York
google avatar

Christina S.

Yelp
This was my first time going to any place close to fine dining and overall the experience was lovely and the food was delicious. The drink was not worth the price $16 for that little couple for an average margarita. The cheesecake wasn't bad a typical cheesecake. My favorite dish was the steak prepared medium it was sheered perfectly with these amazing flavors. The garlic mashed potatoes were creamy soft and very very good. The stuffed chicken breast was also good. No complaints with the made dishes. We all know Ruth Chris is extremely expensive everything is a la carte the entrees do not come with sides. The server was really nice and very attentive. The ambiance is dark but it's still a nice restaurant. I would come back whenever I have extra money to spend. Check them out whenever in the Troy area

Yelp
After hearing EBS talk about going to the Ann Arbor location, I finally decided to join the dinner planned here by another Meetup organizer. I had passed a couple other times since I don't have money to burn ‍. Plus I needed a place to dress up in my more formal Barbie skirt and Marc Jacobs wingtips. The service is excellent as you expect from driving up to the door for valet, to going to the table, the pacing of the meal, and even having your car brought up before you get back to the door. But what was a disappointment to me was the food, not that special. The bread was a little stale and the butter nothing special. The Caesar salad was larger than most but I have better. Not even in my top 10. The shrimp were large but nothing special. The steak could be cut with a butter knife even warmed up the next day but I had better at half the price. Asparagus was thinner and it did also warm up well the next day but not worth the upgrade from the 2 sides listed on their 3 course special menu. What was great was the chocolate sin flourless cake and worth the upgrade from the chef special cheesecake. One of our dining companions even sent one of her steaks back and got a better tasting one. Even with the special priced 3 course menu with two $5 upgrades and only a diet coke, my Bill was over $95. I tipped the valet $10 since I know they depend on our tips. Glad I tried this place finally. But I will not burn money again. If I want a good steak, I will got to Knights or Weber's.

Yelp
OMG BECKY!!! What a fantastic dinner we had for my brother's birthday. The service was fantastic and Stacy took care of all of our needs. All three of us ordered the filet 11oz, utterly delicious and it melted in our mouths. My lips never knew such pleasure along with my taste buds. The sweet potato casserole was a lump of pure heaven. The wedge salad was also delicious. Next time, I would ask for less blue cheese. The server brought out a birthday cheese cake for Jimmy. Everything was perfect. I highly recommend this fabulous restaurant!!!
google avatar

Kate R.

Yelp
We just had the best time at Ruth's Chris. I would highly recommend coming here. To begin the host was very friendly and made sure to make a special consideration of the birthday we were celebrating! Once we sat down our waitress was very attentive! We were very happy with our selections - my family all had the petite fillet and I went with the Sea Bass. It was one of the best cooked pieces of fish I've ever had. Truly special and delicious. For sides we went with the potatoes, mushrooms, and the best was the creamed spinach. This meal was incredibly good and so fun to have a moment with the family celebrating my dad and brothers birthday! The free birthday dessert was such a nice touch and was also very good. Overall I have no complaints. Great service, delicious food, warm atmosphere. We will definitely be back for another special occasion!

Yelp
We were a party of four and all four main dishes (meat and fish) were totally overcooked. Restaurant was empty, the plates were way too hot (continuing the cook the protein) and service was pretty inept. Most disgusting steakhouse experience in years.

Yelp
This is my second horrible experience with Ruth Chris. The Troy location is horrible. I took my friend there on 02 11 2025. For her birthday! The waitress was cold and rude! They burnt my steak. The waitress said she noticed when she took it back it was burnt. What self respecting steak house burnt steaks??? I asked for a warm hand tile when the waitress brought it out she my friend did not immediately recognize what she was doing . The waitress became instantly agitated, elevated her voice and told my friend to put down the bread she was eating. Ruth Chris is condescending to black guest . I suggest that black people eat at more friendly places in Troy. Again, what self respecting steak house actually send out burnt steaks to customers? Horrible experience. Call me for actual details. Rev. Jefferson 248 971 8954. Thanks

Yelp
I really enjoy the Taste Maker dinners at Ruth's Chris steakhouse! Me and my cousin have been to several of these events and the food has been spectacular every time. Most recently we went last week to enjoy a Prisoner Wine Company selection with some well paired dishes. The wine selection is always very good. The service and staff has also been friendly every time we've gone. To top it off, I think the price is very reasonable for what you're getting. If you're looking to try a food and wine pairing, I definitely recommend the ones that Ruth's Chris features. This location has a traditional steakhouse ambiance. #notsponsored

Yelp
Service is excellent. Shawn and Evan in the bar. James as my server. Food is always on point!
google avatar

Lydia K.

Yelp
Birthday dinna was AH-mazinggg! James our service was very timely with our food and service. I ordered the garlic encrusted sea bass which melted in my mouth. My husband ordered the lamb chops *chefs kiss* lightly seasoned with salt and pepper and cooked to perfection. The sweet potato casserole was heaven, calamari never disappoints, garlic mash was like thanksgiving, the lobster Mac and cheese was the greatest but still good the next day. Thank you Ruth's Chris love y'all!

Yelp
Last minute change of plans for Thanksgiving night. We were able to make reservations and get a thanksgiving meal. This restaurant opened in 1996, but I had never been here. Located just off a major highway, it's easy to get to. Parking is plentiful and valet is complimentary. We arrived on time and were seated immediately. Shout out to all the staff working this holiday. There were tons of servers. Our server, Christine was lovely. She was so friendly, informative, and thoughtful. We had one person in our party who wanted the pre-fixe turkey dinner and then two vegans. I didn't have high hopes for a vegan meal here. I ordered the steak house salad with vinaigrette and the other vegan had the chef make a pasta dish with veggies and olive oil. It looked nice. The traditional thanksgiving meal was good according to the omnivore. My salad was fine. Nice to know you can get something if you're vegan and in a pinch. I likely won't come here again due to lack of vegan options, but would absolutely sit in Christine's section because she made our night better with kindness. Thankful for humans like her.

Yelp
The place has no driveway in from the main road so heads up. The outside coming in is clean and in a good area. The inside reminds me of ballroom dining and had the half wall, half up for some reason. The service was spectacular! Our server (an Italian or French lady) she really entertained and made it a nice visit. The food, compared to its local competitors was just ok. I ordered the bone in filet w lobster Mac. My beautiful wife had the petite fillet with shrimp and Brussels sprouts. Judge the pics for yourself.
google avatar

Eric S.

Yelp
What happen to this place? It used to be the go to for a nice meal. We hadn't been in a while do to some of the new placer showing up in the area. The service was borderline bad. They sat us, obviously dressed up for a date night in a tiny two top next to a 20 top of ripped T-shirt and pot smelling thugs when there were many nice booths available. Nothing special on the steak and the tab was $300. They no longer hold the fine dining go to in my book.

Gary K.

Yelp
Recently my wife and I enjoyed my birthday dinner in the bar area. Big shoutout to the team that took care of us (Sean, Edgardo and James). Very attentive and when Sean checked to see if we were satisfied, he looked at our steaks and said those are not prepared properly and immediately returned them to the kitchen and replaced them with what we wanted. Enjoy eating in the bar area.

Yelp
We had a VERY DISAPPOINTING experience at Ruth's Chris steak house. Our waiter was Ulysses. He barely came by to check on us. The managers walked around, yet never checked on tables. REALLY? For an expensive restaurant you can't check on your customers? When we ordered, my mother asked for the Vegetarian menu. Ulysses said he would check with the manager. He came back and said they do not have one. Are you serious? You have a take out menu that includes pasta and other varieties! When I brought this up, I was told there was nothing. Another waitress confirmed later that there was a menu. I also asked for a medium rare steak, more on the rare side. Apparently Ulysses said, "I can only do rare or medium rare." Is this truly how you treat guests at a gourmet restaurant? This is quite ridiculous for a gourmet restaurant. We were very upset. Both my father and I bought the pre-fix meal with a salad, side, and 6 oz. Filet. My steak was awful. It was dry and extremely small. It was definitely not 6 ounces! The steaks were dry and the lobster tails were over cooked. What a terrible 3 course meal! My father was extremely dissatisfied as well. He went to your restaurant in Florida and loved it. This was just an awful experience! We paid $250 for a terrible meal. The best part of the service were the people who packed our meals and brought us our food. Ulysses did nothing and this was very upsetting.

Al W.

Yelp
Food was good, we are still talking about the Mac and cheese! Service was wonderful. Ambiance was perfect for a date night!

David T.

Yelp
Was so looking forward to this dining experience. Disappointing first time visit, likely will not be back. Dry / burnt "medium rare" filet. Night was capped off by 7-car police response to disturbance in forward part of the restaurant
google avatar

Tamica J.

Yelp
JENNA was our server AND SHE MADE THE EXPERIENCE JUST AMAZING! She was well informed on the menu, and made suggestions according to what we said we liked. The food was SUPERB! The filet was like butter, the lobster was succulent and the lobster Mac n cheese was delicious!!! For dessert, the Cremè brûlée DID NOT disappoint and the cheese cake was wonderful! Lastly, the bread pudding...I hate that I didn't get an extra piece! Ruth Chris was AMAZING! We WILL be back!!!!

Yelp
If you're looking for a nice night out this place delivers. I've been to the one in Denver (it was ok) but this one was one of the best meals of my life. Staff was super nice and helpful (shout out to James). We had the tomahawk steak which was awesome. Also highly recommend the spicy shrimp and au gratin potatoes. We'll be back for sure
google avatar

Anita S.

Yelp
The food is skimpy. The food taste different all the time. I fell inlove with the lobster bisque but it's different all the time. It's not clean. Also who put menus on top of somebody's clean plate? You need to fire some people cause I won't be coming there anymore. Restaurants should be clean and the food shouldn't change every time within a month. Even the steak for Valentines Day was not good. It's like they can't handle all the people so hire more people.
google avatar

Meishawn J.

Yelp
Food and service were amazing! Thank you for everything. We had a great time..my first shellfish tower.

Toni T.

Yelp
This is my favorite place in the whole wide world and I go there every year on my birthday and a few times during the year. The food is amazing every dish on their menu is delicious. I usually get the fillet and I love the creamed spinach garlic mashed potato. The sides are enough for 2 to 4 depending on how people eat. Try a few they are very good. Service is always the best. They are pretty attentive. I love when I walk in this restaurant it feels very inviting and when you go and sit down, it's very cosy, no matter where you sit could be out in the open in the middle in the main room. I love sitting in the room where you walk into it over to the right. Enjoy everyone try it once..... oh the crème brûlée is amazing also.
google avatar

Albert K.

Yelp
I had been to this chain in the past and had an amazing steak, so my experience may created way too high expectations. Service was solid and I really enjoyed the calamari, which is served with a sweet and spicy sauce on top. The asparagus was also delicious. For our mains we got the filet and the bone in NY strip. Both we cooked very perfectly, but both were far too salty for me. As it is a chain, I can't imagine that the flavors would deviate all that much. I guess my preferences may have changed over time. Overall as solid location for a special dinner, but probably not on my list from here on out.
google avatar

Paris D.

Yelp
I've been here more times than I can count. My dad is a steak connoisseur and he claims their steak is the best he's ever had. I myself, always get the stuffed chicken. It is literally the best stuffed chicken I've ever had. Their drinks are amazing too!

Brian C.

Yelp
It's great and also expensive. It's a bit gloomy and could use some windows. Parking is okay but some spots nearby are marked as not for customers of the restaurant so be mindful.

Ed C.

Yelp
Only fillet was ok the rest including service and appetizer was greasy and fried in deep oil. We won't go back again to that place

Tracy K.

Yelp
I have to give a great big SHOUT OUT to the Manager John who made my day on 9/14 when I thought it was the worst day of my life. You see I was stood up by my date and John stepped in and asked to be my date. It was so nice and humble of him to offer to be my date and treated me to dinner which was great steak and shrimp and a dessert. He treated me like a Queen and for that I am totally greatful. God is good all the time!! Also a great server Mirandathe best!!

Yelp
My friend and I had dinner here as part of our annual "friendship celebration". It was a pleasant experience. Food was cooked to perfection and the atmosphere was what I wanted and expected. I would dine here again in the future. *Reservations can be made on Open Table.

Yelp
Like 4.5/5 stars so I am rounding up to 5. I had been wanting to try Ruth's Chris during Troy Restaurant Week for a long time. I had been to Ruth's Chris one other time, after my high school graduation in 2005, but I didn't remember it much, other than that the steak was good. Yesterday my boyfriend and I went to the restaurant for dinner for the TRW menu ($41 per person, for a 3-course meal - excellent deal) and everything was delicious. We started off with the fresh bread (with honey butter, I think?) and I chose the Caesar salad. I asked for dressing on the side and they didn't do that; however, the salad was very good. For my entree, I ordered the 8 oz. filet, and he ordered the 12 oz. sirloin. Both were absolutely delicious and come in their own plate of sizzling butter. I had read a Yelp review that said you can ask for "fried garlic butter," and they brought me a plate of that - it's basically just the butter in your steak plate but with garlic. A+ and if you enjoy garlic, definitely ask for it; there was no upcharge, too. For our sides, we split the garlic mashed potatoes and the sweet potato casserole. The potatoes were tasty but nothing special. The sweet potato casserole may be the best sweet potato dish I've ever had - they caramelize the pecans that are on top, so it tasted more like a dessert than a side dish. Speaking of dessert, for TRW it was a circular-sized, individual cheesecake. It was okay but Capital Grille does a similar one, with a thicker crust, which I enjoyed more when I went there for TRW (and I've been there a few times for TRW). The cheesecake also came with berries, and because it was our anniversary, they wrote Happy Anniversary on both of our plates, which was a nice touch. Service was very good as well though I was waiting for water once or twice (pet peeve of mine), but for not much longer than 5 minutes or so. I had written in our OpenTable reservation that it was our anniversary (it's in about 2 weeks, but this was my present to him) and our waitress wished us Happy Anniversary like 3 or 4 times, which was nice, though a bit overkill. Overall I was very impressed by the food here and would definitely return, though the regular menu is about $50+ for a steak and $11 for sides (everything is a la carte). If you're looking to get the most bang for your buck, I'd highly recommend going this week (or next March 2019) for Troy Restaurant Week.

Yelp
Tucked away in the lot of a office complex just off busy Big Beaver and I-75. The outside has a weird stone thing going on that sort of looks like plywood. Inside it is very dark. Our first time to a Ruth's Chris. We ended up getting the three course meal. All the other options are ala carte. For 2 people with two drinks, we spent $240 with tip. The service was good, except for silverware which we were always waiting for new to be delivered. I am rating this as a 250 dollar meal. We reverse sear grill quality steaks at home. The steaks here, advertised as prime cooked on a 1,000 degree broiler, are as good as what we do at home. The sides were okay, lots of garlic in the potatoes. The small crabcake with Bernese sauce was overly peppered, I suspect to cover up some quality issues. My ribeye wasn't well trimmed on one side, with a 1/4 inch of fat left after cooking, my wife's fillet was well trimmed. The steaks are served on very hot plates, after being literally doused in butter. This part isn't the restaurant's fault, but on our Friday night visit several of the guests were attempting to ghetto signify, complaining loudly about seating, service, etc. There is a sign about clothing rules, so I think they are trying to address this issue. Worth it as a treat, but you can do as well at home with a good grill, oven rack/pan, and bluetooth thermometer.

Yelp
My cousin reserved a table for her birthday & our visit at Ruth's Chris was amazing. Our server name was Stacy & she was attentive, giving suggestion which we appreciated & she's had great customer service. Then here comes the food.... My stuff chicken was exceptional, sweet potatoes, Mac & cheeses & all the appetizer was great.. only thing I felt the caesar salad was bland.. spicy shrimp & Crab cakes was to die for.. Lol .. I will go back & become a regular customer.. D

Yelp
Came here about 3 weeks ago. Very nice intimate dining space with social distancing being practiced. Our waitor was very professional. The food was pretty good. The best tasting food in my opinion was the crab cakes and the steak. I'll definitely be coming back for those two items! The other food items were fresh, but needed more seasoning. Overall a good experience.

Yelp
I think this by far has been my favorite. We walked in a bit before our reservation and ended up at the bar for HH. We both got a glass of wine and waited for our party. As more continued to show we walked to the hostess desk and they seated us immediately! What's even more great about this place is, once we started walking to our table I seen one of my gfs who is helping me look for a house in northern Troy! Such a great surprise! As we sat Candace our server was very attentive. She was probably the sweetest to me because I can be a bit annoying.. Long pour Chardonnay makes it worse. I even asked her what she would recommend that wouldn't be almost $30 a 9oz pour. She got me another Chardonnay that was equally as good but for half the price. I tend to drink my dinners as opposed to eating my filet/shrimp and green beans. Everyone at the table got either a filet or filet and shrimp. The steaks were all cooked to perfection and Candace again made sure we were taken care of. I think our steaks ranged from medium rare to medium well. Mine being medium well because I am a bit of a child. Anywho- the green beans I got as my side were the perfect texture. Not too soft and not too crunchy. I was kind of disappointed in the mashed potatoes. We improvised and ended up putting the cold potatoes on the very hot, like straight from a broiling oven steak plate. It warmed them up just enough that they were not cold anymore. We all seemed to enjoy our meal, very much. For dessert, it was either a personal cheesecake or for an additional $4 you could get any dessert. We upgraded to the full size cheesecake as opposed to the small less the personal cheesecake. Glad we did. The size was person pie size, so good, so much better than I expected. The taste was different between the two. We also got creme brûlée. I was kind of disappointed in my Creme brûlée. I am a connoisseur of Creme brûlée. I like when they bring it out and torch it in front of me. I like when it's stills really warm and when your spoon hits the top you hear that tap, tap on the top and crunch into it. Overall the food was great. The service was better. I also totally expected for it to be super upscale and I feel that even in jeans and a collard shirt and sweater I was dressed fine. I'd honestly would not put too much anxiety into what you wear. (I was having terrible anxiety about not really dressing up!) I think we will be back, soon. I don't think the prices are extravagant, I think it's on par for the service and food.

Yelp
Great food and great atmosphere. 4 star due to lobster bisque having a very strong bitterness, I couldn't finish it. Steak, appetizers and desserts were amazing. The best part was the creme brulee. Steak cooked to perfection. Our server was amazing and made our dinning experience exceptional. Unfortunately can't remember her name.

Yelp
Just terrible. 10 years ago this used to be where you would go. Would not go back. An obvious effect of expanding with money in mind and no longer cares about creating good food. Owners / staff will never see this or take this into account, which is sad. Do better.
