Ruth Café in Malmö is such a charming spot for a slow and cosy fika. It has that relaxed Scandinavian vibe that makes you want to sit down, take your time, and enjoy something sweet with a warm drink. I visited after hearing so many good things and I can see why people love it. The café feels welcoming from the moment you walk in, with a mix of locals, students, and travellers all taking a quiet pause from their day. Their pastries are good, especially if you enjoy classic Scandinavian flavours and textures. The selection is attractive and everything looks freshly made. Personally, I prefer my pastries to be served a little hotter. A warm pastry always feels more indulgent and comforting, but that is just my own preference. Even so, the taste was enjoyable and the quality was evident. The hot chocolate surprised me in a pleasant way. It has a distinct nutty flavour that gives it more depth compared to the usual sweet and creamy versions you find elsewhere. It feels like something crafted with intention rather than a standard drink. It pairs beautifully with the pastries and really completes the fika experience. The atmosphere is calm, the service is friendly, and the overall experience makes Ruth Café a lovely stop if you are exploring Malmö. It is a nice place to unwind, enjoy a hot drink, and take in the local café culture. I would still recommend it, especially for anyone who enjoys discovering small cafés with personality and charm.

Excellent place for dinner, great bread selection. Great pastry Had a chance to have a dinner here - I went for set menu - two starters, main, desert. Good value for money but the most important. EXTRAORDINARY flavours of the dishes. Greatly balanced very compact dishes. Open kitchen - so you see the madness behind the scene and the exhausting pace that doesn’t allow to compromise on the quality of the food. Good cocktails. Classics very well executed - local gin martini was a good experience! Next day morning happened it was open with different atmosphere - so popped in and had great pastry and coffee. On my TO DO list to visit next time I am in Malmo.

So far my best dining experience in sweden ! Very original and tasty dishes, nice atmosphere with the open kitchen setup. Highly recommended !

Michelin recognised Ruths offers the most intentional food from summer to autumn dishes, nothing will disappoint! The sausage was well cooked and the smashed potatoes were smooth and salted to perfection! The fish was light and flaky. To finish off, you must treat yourself with a raspberry tart danish!😋 The location is cozy and unique, transporting you in another era: they slice and serve the bread in front of you 🤩 The service polite and welcoming.

Went there for breakfast. Great quality of food and good portions size for the price. Friendly service by the staff and the restaurant seems quite popular amongst the locals and the tourists.

Had the summer tasting menu here last week and it was my favourite meal I had while in Sweden! Love how unpretentious and just deliciously executed the food was - and presentation was spot on as well! The pavlova was phenomenal! Thanks for a great meal 😊.

Excellent food and service! Ordered the terrine, crab tarte, cod, and guinea fowl. Good portions, excellent cook and flavors.

Two friends and I visiting Copenhagen decided to train it to Malmo for dinner. I am delighted that I had a booking at Ruth’s. It was busy and I can understand why. From the moment we entered the restaurant we had the most amazing experience. The staff were superb, the food was faultless. Even the cider was memorable! Our lovely waitress was extremely knowledgeable and suggested certain dishes. The meals arrived beautifully presented, but the flavours were better. For a busy restaurant the dining experience was personable and attentive. Highly recommended.
