Rutin" means "routine" in English, and the guys at this little restaurant do indeed routinely make excellent stuff. It is one of the few oases in the culinary desert in and around Budapest. It's located in Budaörs - a town on the western edge of Budapest where absolutely nothing happens. Except that the sidewalks are raised around 8 p.m. in summer.
The German menu is human, and he took his time to explain everything to the decidedly indecisive ladies. The thing I liked best was the interesting new (and light) interpretation of very classic Hungarian dishes - not an easy thing to do, considering that this type of food was created for farm workers and is usually heavy and calorie-dense by nature.
The wine list is short and not only includes some foreign wines (very rare in HU), but also omits the usual suspects.
Prices are at the upper end of Hungarian middle class restaurants, but you will be hard pressed to find better quality for that amount.
