Rutz Zollhaus

We had a wonderful date night at Rutz Zollhaus. The service was wonderful friendly and entertaining as well as helpful. The food was immaculate and served in a timely manner. Our waiter unfortunately twisted his ankle during his service and we wish him a speedy recovery. Looking forward dining here again!

I loved it, the staff was engaging and charming, I would totally be back if I’m ever back in Berlin. The food was magnificent, we had two of the main specialties, and the desserts!! Exquisite. We loved it. We didn’t have reservations, but were immediately seated anyway. Thank you so much.

At the end of my short trip to Berlin I enjoyed the finest meal I’ve ever had in my many trips to Germany. Trout carpaccio, pork and veal meatballs, and Oz shoulder. And the requisite schnapps for dessert. If you want a great meal in Berlin, come here! And the wine list (which, eating alone, I could not enjoy) was very impressive. Don’t miss it. It’s not cheap but it is outstanding

Walked into this off-the-beaten-path restaurant. There was a group of people enjoying wine on the patio. Went inside. Staff were incredibly kind with great recommendations, including the meatballs which was our favorite dish and the wine we had. We all loved the ambience, very nice. Must have a reservation.

Next, we indulged in the beef tartar, which was simply perfect in every way. The texture, seasoning, and presentation were all executed flawlessly, making it a standout dish. For the main course, I faced a delightful dilemma between the braised ox shoulder and the BBQ ribs. In the end, I decided to indulge in both, and it proved to be the best decision of the night. Each dish was cooked to perfection, with the braised ox shoulder melting in my mouth and the BBQ ribs offering a succulent, smoky flavor that left me craving more. Rutz Zollhaus is a true culinary gem in Berlin, where every dish reflects the skill and creativity of Chef Marco Müller and his team. The entire dining experience was remarkable and memorable, from the impeccable service to the exquisite food. If you find yourself in Berlin, this is a must-visit restaurant. Bravo to Chef Marco Müller and the entire team for providing us with such an unforgettable experience. This evening will be one we remember fondly for years to come.

A wonderful dining experience! From when we first arrived, everyone from the host to the servers was very friendly and engaging. Our server was very knowledgeable about what was being served and offered some suggestions as well. I should also say, I’m writing this review as we’re still at the table, because the entrecôte my wife had was and I quote, ‘the best steak I’ve ever had.’ I also had the monkfish, which can be difficult to cook correctly but was superbly done here! The restaurant may be a little out of the way of the main tourist areas of Berlin, but is well worth a visit!

Excellent restaurant. As a more relaxed side-venture of a three star restaurant, the food here is expertly crafted and delicious in unexpected ways. Surprisingly the bread and butter was something we ate a lot more of than we expected, because it was so good. Setting is gorgeous, right next to the canal in a classic looking building, although the inside is more modernized.

We had a fantastic evening at Rutz Zollhaus! The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and our allergies were handled with great care. Our server, Lucas, was amazing — very attentive, spoke excellent English, and really added to the atmosphere with his warm and intuitive service. He truly made the night special. Highly recommended!
