Absolutely horrendous fire alarm system! The fire alarm goes off randomly at odd hours and continues to ring for hours on end.!! Its always due to a false alarm. It has become a nuisance on a monthly basis. This building doesn't fix it no matter what. Better to not rent here (especially if you have babies or pets). Their package system is incredibly inefficient. You have to wait for several hours to get your package just from the building management. I have to wait for over 3 days during the holidays because they were unable to sort packages. Also, they lose packages!!! Amazon delivers the package in 3 hours but it will take you over 4 hours just to get your package from the building management. There are huge security concerns where people have been attacked in parking lots.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at RVR Xchange Secaucus. This property is marketed as a luxury apartment complex, but it does not live up to that claim. The fire alarm goes off far too often. While it is known that the windows do not open, this creates a serious problem for residents who cook. With no way to ventilate the apartment, even normal cooking can set off the smoke alarm, which is frustrating and disruptive. There are ongoing heating issues, and cold air constantly seeps in through the window seams, making the apartment uncomfortable. Wind also comes in from under the main door, creating a loud swooshing noise that is incredibly irritating and makes it hard to feel at ease in your own home. The walls are paper thin. You can hear neighbors clearly, which completely takes away any sense of privacy. Package handling is a mess. Sometimes you are told there is no one available to retrieve your package, while other times it is suddenly available within minutes. There is no consistency. Packages are also frequently mislabeled. For example, an apartment marked as K may be tagged as R, making it unnecessarily difficult to locate your delivery. Food delivery collection is another frustrating experience. Residents are required to pick up food orders from the concierge desk, which is inconvenient. This policy is explained as being for resident safety, but that explanation is hard to believe. A simple online search shows multiple publicly reported incidents involving this property, including a major armed robbery and shooting in September 2025 where suspects reportedly targeted a resident. There are also publicly reported incidents from August 2024 where a man was charged with stalking a woman living in the RVR luxury apartment complex and breaking into her apartment, according to Secaucus Police. Given these incidents, it is difficult to see how restricting food delivery actually improves safety. Overall, this is not a luxury apartment in any sense of the word. Between the constant alarms, lack of ventilation, poor insulation, noise issues, disorganized package system, confusing delivery rules, and serious safety concerns, living here has been extremely frustrating. I would not recommend this place to anyone expecting a premium or secure living experience.

I toured this building recently with Tatiana while looking for a new space to lease, and it made a great impression! Tatiana was amazing , the property is beautiful, well-kept, and has a great layout. The leasing staff were friendly and helpful, walking me through everything and making sure I had all the info I needed. It definitely stood out as one of my top options.

Waking up at 6:00 AM to a fire alarm is definitely not how I planned to start my day The alarm went off loudly and continuously for hours, with no staff, no security, no explanation, and apparently no urgency whatsoever. Doors were closed, hallways empty, and residents were left wondering whether there was an actual emergency or just a very expensive alarm clock test. If this was a drill, no one told us. If it was an emergency, that’s even more concerning. If it was neither… then congratulations, this building has mastered the art of doing absolutely nothing while disrupting everyone’s sleep. On the bright side, I now know the fire alarm system works perfectly. Unfortunately, management does not. Would not recommend if you value sleep, communication, or basic safety management.

I stayed here at this community for about two weeks and boy boy was I impressed. From their clubhouses, to their gym facilities, to the scenic views, to how clean this place was and the pet friendly environment. If you’re in the Jersey area or want to remain close to the city this is an ideal place to live and commute.
