Rwenzori Mountains National Park

Beautiful and unique. A must visit! Multiple days are needed. Mountain peak not necessary, the uniqueness is on altitudes up to 4500 meter, but could top it all off. Doing a mountain peak is very challenging and safety standards are lower then in Europe. Getting off the central circuit is very rewarding but still muddy and therefore unique. As Europeans it felt very strange to have so much support staff. It is a five star hotel experience up the mountain. We can only advice!

If you do a trek in the Rwenzoris, do the Bukurungu trek and not the central circuit. This trek doesnt go over the touristy wooden paths but go straight trough the undiscovered mountains. You sleep just in the wilderness, amazing experience. The last days you can summit the mount Stanley

The best mountain national park in East Africa! Its much less crowded compare to Mt. Kilimanjaro or Mt. Kenya, the trees are available up to 3800 meters, the route is good and very well marked. You can sleep in huts or tents and telephone coverage is more or less OK. There are the last glaciers in Africa which you need to see before it's melted due to the global warming. I would like to come again to this beautiful mountains and jungles!

The most amazing trek I have ever did! Amazing views, animals and plants. The views are changing like levels on icy tower. The climbing to margharita's peak was great and hard!

It was such a nice experience of hiking and showering in the cold Waters of Rwenzori mountains... I actually spotted the most wanted 3 horned Rwenzori chameleon

Rwenzori Mountains, wow!!! Yes we went there, in fact we went there until the very top! Wow! Really I can just say wow. It is a extreme experience extremely horrible and beautiful at the same. Horrible because of the dreadful work behind it you have to be fully trained and experienced to go there and I am serious. But how is it beautiful, beautiful because of the wonderful landscapes and scenery you see there. And at the very top you see the only snow there us in Uganda. Another fact is that it is the hardest mountain to go up to in Africa wow! I can recommend it but only if you are very trained and are absolutely ready for it. In the internet it might say that you only go certain metres of height but in fact you go more since there are a lot of ups and downs, they only measure it from the height of one camp to the next.
