The wife and I went to RM seafood a year or so ago for lunch and were not very impressed. But Rx Boiler Room came highly recommended so we decided to give it a shot. The restaurant has an interesting steam-punky, New Orleans Voodoo lounge vibe to it. As we walked up to the host stand a waiter was talking to the girls at the counter and he did this little goofy kind of dance step that I mimicked back to him that got a laugh out of all of them. He told the hostess, "Put these guys in my section." So we were off and running. They have quite the interesting drink list that comes to you via an iPad. Very cool to be able to see what each drink looks like before you order. I went with the Poire Dakkar which consists of, Hennessy Black, Pimms #1 Liqueur, Curry-Pear Shrub, Honey Syrup, Lemon Juice, Baked Apple Bitters, Black Walnut Bitters, Black Pepper. There must be some egg white in the mixture as well as the drink had this cool little foam cap on the top. The drink was excellent. Very refreshing and sweet. For an appetizer we went with the bacon wrapped pork belly with quail egg. What could be better than bacon wrapped bacon. This was excellent. The quail egg really seemed to cut through the saltiness of the bacon and give the bite a nice creamy texture. For dinner I ordered the Chicken Parmigian and the wife chose the Guinness braised beef short rib. I mistakenly assumed that the chicken parm would be breast meat as it is most times I've ordered but apparently chef Moonen likes to go with thigh meat. Unfortunately I don't like dark meat so I was a bit dissapointed when the plate arrived. But lucky for me my wife was willing to swap dishes with me so I ended up eating her short rib. I had also ordered a side of mashed potatoes that sadly went to waste as the short rib came with mashed potatoes. The short rib was very good but the wife wasn't too impressed with the chicken parm. For dessert we decided to try the ice cream tasting game as it sounded like fun. We got all of the flavors but one, Raspberry Mint. C'mon man putting 2 flavors together in one is a bit of a cheat. The funny thing is that my wife said that she tasted mint in that one. I didn't get mint at all. Overall Rx Boiler Room was a good experience. I definitely enjoyed it more than RM Seafood.

Rx Boiler Room here, happy hour. Great bartenders, get them to make something with the frozen ice ball. Tell you how the clear ice is made. It is our Happy Hour stop in the Mandalay Bay-Luxor complex. Good snacks, good manager, good team--and they have a restaurant in the back if you like too.

I only get to come here once a year for a conference. I savor every moment! The Best craft cocktail bar!

The best happy hour! I stopped here on a whim and was most pleasantly surprised! This place is hidden in the Mandalay shops, but it's worth searching out. Cocktails were great - you must have the Luna Rosa! Apps are delicious too! I loved the bacon and egg plus the Devils on horseback!! While you're there, spot the bitters and Mason collections at the bar!

I've been here twice, with two very different experiences. The decor is what really makes it stand out. It's steampunk and incredibly unique. Worth going just for that and how the servers are dressed -- you feel like you're in a Jules Verne novel. They also have unique cocktails and are known for their mixology. The first time we went the server seated us in a private booth and made a cocktail at the table using smoked whiskey in a glass skull. It was fun. The second time was much busier and the server made the cocktail at the bar and just brought over the glass. So your experience will be different based on who your server is. We ordered appetizers as small plates. Definitely get the tater tots (they make them there) and the chicken pot pie balls. Really delicious food.

I can really not say enough good things about the boiler room. The food is great, the cocktails are delicious. Our bartender, Corbin, was so knowledgeable and friendly. I ordered the Guinness Short Ribs and they were melt in your mouth tender. The jus served with the ribs was so good and the parsnip puree was so smooth and silky. Do yourself a favor and visit the Boiler Room today. You will not regret it!

Went here twice while in Vegas, both times just for drinks and apps. Would definitely suggest just the bar area. Mixologists are awesome and conversational... And the drinks are stronger when you sit at the bar. Ate in the dining area the second time and didn't have as stellar of an experience.
