The Best Hotels in Aruba—Luxe All-Inclusives, Beachfront Retreats, and Cozy Boutiques | Condé Nast Traveler

"In the heart of the high‑rise district, this “Grande Dame” opened in 1959 as the island’s first large hotel, designed by Morris Lapidus of Fontainebleau and Eden Roc fame. Transitioned into a Hilton in 2015, the 357‑room resort retains midcentury charm alongside modern conveniences—like ordering food and drinks directly to your palapa—and it rarely feels crowded even at high occupancy. Three towers named for the ABC islands offer many rooms with stunning ocean views. Aruba’s signature cocktail, the Aruba Ariba, was invented here, and the outdoor bar Mira Solo is the perfect place to sip one while catching nightly live music and sunset views through the palms." - Jacqueline Dole

"This Palm Beach resort lets type A vacationers make the most of every minute of their trip. For adults, the jam-packed roster of activities ranges from cardio kickboxing and archery to salsa workshops and lessons on how to make your own aloe scrub. Another grown-up perk: every50-minute spa treatment and dinner for two comes with complimentary child care. Meanwhile, the ShocoLand kids club keeps tykes busy during the day with water-balloon races and seashell painting. Have a little down time? The 355 rooms were renovated in late 2016, and now have an airy, modern feel; each also has its own private balcony or patio ideal for enjoying island breezes. For those happy to while away the hours near the water, chaise longues surround two palm-fringed pools, and plenty of beachside palapas sit just steps from the sea."

Our stay at the Hilton Aruba was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, cared for, and genuinely valued as guests. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful—immaculately maintained, with stunning ocean views and a relaxing atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease. What truly set this experience apart was the incredible care and compassion shown by the staff during an unexpected challenge. On day two of our trip, my wife unfortunately sprained her ankle. What could have been an extremely stressful situation was handled with professionalism, kindness, and genuine concern. The team did an amazing job ensuring her safety, assisting with her needs, and checking in regularly to make sure she was comfortable. When it became clear that traveling home early was the best option for her recovery, the Hilton Aruba staff showed extraordinary understanding and flexibility by allowing us to leave early. This act of compassion meant more to us than we can express and truly reflects their commitment to exceptional guest care. Despite the circumstances, we left with immense gratitude and appreciation. The Hilton Aruba is a beautiful resort, but it’s the outstanding staff—their empathy, responsiveness, and dedication—that makes it truly special. We cannot recommend this resort highly enough and look forward to returning under better circumstances.

Fabulous trip! Palm Beach Club is the way to go. We had a partial ocean view room on the 7th floor of the Aruba tower. All of the staff, including the chefs, in the Palm Beach Club made us feel very welcome and taken care of. The beach is the best on Palm Beach - and the hotel was lovely. Obviously, they are doing major construction. It isn’t aesthetically pleasing and can be loud. But it did not affect our trip at all! We already booked for next year and cannot wait to see the finished product.

Amazing resort. Love the customer service from the fire day we checked in by Andy the service desk. He was amazing with explaining everything on the resort and all the activities. I also appreciate the water refilling machine for Customer to use a super Clearwater and super tasty so no need for waste of plastic bottle and very convenient for Customer just to refill their bottles. Location is right by the beach and in the middle of the palm beach area where the nightlife starts hotel is super clean and great location. Everything you need you will find in this resort. Free parking for guests.

Tonight is the last of our 7 nights at the Hilton. We have been coming to this resort since before it was a Hilton, The Raddison. We have been blessed to stay on the Palm Beach Club Floor. This year was the first with the renovated club which was a complete upgrade from before. The staff led by Afroze, Janice and Kimberly was nothing less than suberb. The chefs accommodated our eating issues and the staff of Edwin et al were pleasant and there to help at every turn. We come back to Aruba and will only stay here with this group of wonderful people. Looking forward to the next vacation already. on a sad note we were sad to learn of the passing of Queen Mathilda. Our first visit without her. She will be missed by our family and thought of each time we return. The Barrys.

I went there for my birthday. We were there five days. The hospitality was horrible. There were 2 bellman that were awesome. I was tickled at the resort fees. What are you paying for. The wifi was trash. They had the nerve to say it was secure, but it wasn't. You get a water bottle. You can fill it up on one of the floors. The island itself is Beautiful. I will definitely visit Aruba again., but not at this location.

Dear Hilton Aruba Management Team, I wanted to take a moment to share our sincere appreciation for the wonderful stay we recently had at your property. While we were initially disappointed to see that more amenities were closed than expected due to the ongoing expansion project, your team more than made up for it. The staff set the tone for the exceptional care we experienced throughout the rest of our stay. The check-in staff were fantastic, particularly the supervisor at the front desk that helped us with our next day reservation. She took the time to ensure that our multiple room reservations were arranged so that our rooms were close together, even though the hotel was at full capacity. This effort made such a positive difference for our stay. The rooms were very clean. We loved the bathroom and bedding was so comfortable. Your staff consistently went above and beyond throughout our stay. Our servers at the restaurants were attentive, friendly, and made every meal enjoyable. Breakfast at Laguna was delicious each morning with new options added daily. The outdoor tables were beautiful. Laika at the activities center was incredibly helpful each day, assisting us with arranging our palapas and providing towels with a smile. The beach staff were also so quick in setting up our chairs every morning. Our kids absolutely loved the bird sanctuary, and we were grateful to the staff for allowing us to take pictures and feed the birds. The daily kids’ activities were always a highlight. Emmy prepared so many fun events, and her kindness, patience, and enthusiasm truly made our children’s experience unforgettable. They couldn’t wait to see her each day, and she made us feel like we were part of her family. Despite the temporary closures, our stay was truly fantastic. The noise was minimal and the DJ at the pool made up for it by always keeping the vibe fun with great music. We cannot wait to return and see all the exciting updates once the expansion project is complete. The location of the hotel is unbeatable with a perfect beachfront, and restaurants along the palm beach strip across the road. Thank you again for such a wonderful and memorable stay.

I stayed at the Hilton during the end of Oct/beginning of November while construction was ongoing. The resort is beautiful and situated on the best part of Palm Beach and across the street from many food and entertainment options should you opt to leave the resort. The construction was not a problem during my stay - yes, some noise heard while on the beach but not a nuisance or distraction from relaxing under a palapa. The reservation system for the palapas was easy and straightforward, as was booking activities like paddle boarding. The beach is clean and expansive. I walked along the beach and the ocean-side sidewalk between the Hilton and other neighboring resorts and would not choose to stay at the Marriott, Ritz or St. Regis based on their beach conditions. I did not use the pool, but it looked like a nice option for families with small kids. The gym is brand new and well-equipped, though cramped. If trying to use weights, you’ll be bumping into people. My two double bed, partial ocean view room in the Curaçao tower was very nice - clean, modern, quiet, and comfortable. The grounds at the resort are beautifully landscaped and maintained. I only ate at Oscars Market, but found the prices very reasonable and the breakfast options were very good. The staff was friendly and helpful, I don’t understand the negative reviews the staff has received on other reviews. Everyone was accommodating, from early check-in, luggage storage, to a late checkout. I was nervous about the construction but needlessly so. It was also refreshing to feel very safe here, compared to other Caribbean locations where I have been hounded to buy drugs or go to makeshift shops as soon as I stepped off the hotel property. I will definitely return to this Hilton property on a future trip to Aruba.

This being our 15th vacation at the Hilton Aruba, I am somewhat biased :), but just the fact that we've been there 15 times since 2016, after traveling the Caribbean and Mexico extensively, tells you all you need to know. |The beach is excellent, plenty of room to relax, and the team at the beach makes every day special; get a Palapa with waiter service all day; and try the beach activities from SUP to water aerobics, and my favorite, the bike ride to the lighthouse!|The hotel has been completely refreshed and the rooms and restaurants/bars are even better than before. The staff is warm and welcoming, always doing their best to make you feel at home. ||I can't wait to return .
