"Located in the heart of the high-rise district, The Hilton Aruba opened in 1959 as the island’s first large hotel. Designed by architect Morris Lapidus, whose most famous works include Miami’s Fontainebleau and Eden Roc, the hotel was nicknamed the “Grande Dame.” The 357-room resort was transitioned into a Hilton in 2015 and retains much of its midcentury charm along with modern conveniences—like the ability to order food and drinks directly to your palapa.
