Where to Eat Near Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida | Eater Miami

"This pizza joint has been around for 50 years as of 2022. For bigger groups, its 16-inch New York-style pizza is cooked to a delicate crisp and boasts 15-by-25-inch-thick Sicilian offerings, too. In true South Florida fashion, some seafood appetizers like baked clams and mussels are doused in marinara to get the party started."

Antonio's is world class. The food is excellent. Antonio's has been around way longer than I even was in Middle School and even back then that little place turned out amazing food. That little place is still little and the food is still good. I believe the father had the place and then now his son runs the place so this is going back at least 30 years. Even now, the line is sometimes out the door, so I wouldn't worry about eating in I would order and pick up, it kind of gets tight in there LOL. Antonio's is a legendary local spot in Miramar, I can say so much more about it.

Great pizza … you could taste that the pizza crust was original and homemade. Service was excellent. Few tables, no fancy at all but you feel good about this place.

Google
Pizza was very good and the soda was good as well. But these ladies need to stop having an attitude. If you don’t want to work then quit. That’s the only issue with that place is the ladies. The men are sweet hearts very good customer service with the men only.

Normally Antonio’s provides 5 star food and service, however after today’s order I am highly disappointed with the taste and quality of the food. The chicken wings were extremely dry/overcooked and half burnt, whereas the pizza was like cardboard, stiff, stale, bland and crumbly. While I normally don’t mind paying $50 for 1 pizza and 20 wings, this time around I wholeheartedly regret it. I will not be returning any time soon, at least not while the quality is wayyyy subpar. It pains me to write this review, and I will update it should Antonio’s rectify the lack of quality.

JoyGems of Historic Miramar

Google
There is absolutely no pizza competition in East/Historic Miramar. Antonio’s runs the joint since ‘72. And don’t sleep on the generous meal/dinner options or subs.Tasty, down-home, consistent & well-priced. I love eating in, when I have the time. The recent upgrades improved the ambiance w/o losing the nostalgic feel. Love it!

Google
“I recently discovered this Italian restaurant in my area and it was an absolute delight! The authentic, homemade dishes—from perfectly cooked pasta to delicious pizzas—burst with flavor and are served at prices that won’t break the bank. The friendly, welcoming atmosphere and attentive service made the experience even better. I highly recommend this spot for anyone craving great Italian food at a good price!

Google
The pizza is great, some of the best I’ve had but the service is beyond poor. The older blonde lady who works there ALWAYS has an attitude for no reason. Every time we come here she is angry/rude and makes us not even want to eat here. And it’s not just her, one time we dined in and the two young ladies at the counter were very loudly talking about their sex lives, no one wants to hear that, do better.

Google
I’m from Brooklyn New York and know what great pizza is about. I moved to Florida in 1994 and just found out from Italian friends that also moved here from New York who told me about this Pizzeria. Antonio Pizza first opened in Miramar in 1972 and the original owner just passed away the business was taken over by his son. I decided to order regular slice and Sicilian. The pizza was thin crust light and delicious. I was greeted by a very professional young lady who’s father works there as well and makes the pizza. I did a take out of the Sicilian with extra cheese, extra sauce and pepperoni. I highly recommend them if you are looking for New York style pizza. I read some of negative reviews yes there’s no such business that has perfect score. Those people posting negative reviews, knows nothing about pizza and how it supposed to look and taste .They should go back to Domino’s, Pizza Hut and Papa John’s. Thank you Antonio Pizza keep up the great work.

Yelp
Great pizza and the garlic rolls are amazing. Love coming here and the service is great too.

Yelp
Super cozy place, seems like a very close-nit family environment. We were immediately greeted when we walked in and placed an order for pepperoni pizza and 12 garlic knots. Place was clean and well kept. Everyone someone got up, they were quickly behind them cleaning up. I've been searching for an authentic local pizza spot and it's been hard. Food was really good. Finally found a great pizza place in soflo

Yelp
I called Antonio's Pizza at 9:20 p.m. to place an order. The person who answered the phone said "hold on" very quickly and then left me on hold without any further communication. I tried calling multiple times, and each time the same thing happened -- a quick "hold on" and then silence. Frustrated, I decided to drive to the restaurant myself. Keep in mind, they close at 10 p.m. I arrived at exactly 9:30 p.m., and I was still on hold from the phone call I placed earlier. As I pulled up, they finally hung up the call. When I got to the counter, I was told they could not make a pizza because they were "about to close" and only had slices left. Again, it was only 9:30 p.m. and they don't close until 10 p.m. If they aren't going to take full orders after a certain time, they should clearly communicate that instead of keeping customers on hold for 15 minutes and then turning them away at the counter. If you're planning to order pizza before 9:30, don't waste your time. The lack of communication and disregard for customer service was extremely disappointing. It was a girl who looks like a boy with twist or dreads

Yelp
Great pizza made just right! No too thin, not too oily either. Have had their cheese, sausage pies are delicious! You wont be disappointed.

Yelp
There on a Friday night (about 4 or 5 small tables for dine-in), and the place was happening for take-out orders. Place is popular with the locals. 16" Neapolitan style with pepperoni and sausage was very good. The large Sicilian deluxe was good. Nothing spectacular. But good. Our waitress had been there 30 years and knew all the regulars.
google avatar

Betty L.

Yelp
Got a half deluxe pie to go. I was told 20 minutes. It was extremely busy in the shop. Many people making pizza. One at the register. I waited in line to pick up my order. Eventually a second person came to work the second register. They go by order numbers, never asked a name. Good thing I paid attention for once when I placed my order. Very reasonable price. Pie was very good when hot. Leftovers reheated were not as good: very floppy and cheese kinda weird. The worst part of the experience was honestly the location. I had never been to that area and the specific shopping center was madness at the time.

Yelp
If you're looking for good pizza in South Florida this is the spot. The pizza here is as close to a NJ/NY slice as we've been able to find on the east coast of Florida. If you're craving a slice, this is the place to go! Food: 5 out of 5 - The pizza here is great. We ordered a large pizza well done to give it the extra crispy crust and boy did Antonio's deliver. The pizza was perfect. Ambiance/Vibe: 5 out of 5 - Walking into this place you can tell it has good food. It is always packed with a line and the tables inside are almost always full. The pizzeria gives a traditional NY/NJ pizzeria vibe. Service: N/A - we always order pickup so we don't get to see the service in the pizzeria, but the people behind the counter are always great.

Yelp
Great food and service. You can see the history and the family atmosphere when you walk in the place. I highly recommend this establishment for lunch or dinner.

Yelp
2nd time having this pizza. And still a hit. Consistent taste and quality. I also tried the wings and was not disappointed. These wings are roasted and full of flavor. A must try pizza if you're in the area. Will definitely be back to try other menu options. The cheese pizza is a top tier pizza slice.

Yelp
October 5th was dads 82nd birthday we were going to take him to a fancy restaurant but he wanted Antonio's. And truly they did an amazing job the best Pizza we've ever ordered from them. We ordered two deluxe with extra pepperoni on one for my nephew and extra sausage on the other for Dad. A big thankyou for your crew for Saturday Nights pizza. You can count on Antonio's!! Sorry I don't have a pic of the pizza it went so fast.
google avatar

Yelp
Been eating this pizza for years they're about the only Pizzeria Pembroke Miramar Hollywood. They have Sicilian (square) for you Floridians, just like back home and when I mean back home that's Brooklyn New York the pizza here is amazing.
google avatar

Sheryl S.

Yelp
Authentically Italian, a hidden gem in a strip mall next to Publix. It's a pretty small place with a few tables inside. We dined in but they had a nonstop line for pickup orders. It was hard to decide but we settled on pepperoni pizza and spaghetti with meatballs. We also got a side salad and garlic rolls with the spaghetti, which I didn't realize came with it. All so hearty and filling!

Reece K.

Yelp
Absolutely loved the pizza here! The crust was perfectly crispy, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. The service was friendly and quick, making the whole experience enjoyable. Can't wait to come back for more!
google avatar

Beethoven L.

Yelp
Fantastic pizza. Nice tangy and sweet sauce and the garlic rolls are smothered in garlicky goodness. Will absolutely come here again.
google avatar

Omar V.

Yelp
We came here three years ago today and this is the best pizza we've ever eaten period! The garlic rolls are to die for! Very nice waitress and staff! Thank you for 50 years of your service!

Yelp
Hungry, out of Thanksgiving leftovers, between football games. Of course, call Antonio's and order a pizza. Excellent as usual, great old school pizza. Thanks again folks keep rocking those pies!

Mike C.

Yelp
Solid pizza, wonderful customer service, and nice environment I would give it a second go

Yelp
Best New York style pizza in South Florida, been eating here since a young lad. Support your local business.

Yelp
Never a disappointment when i go. Staff is always friendly. Even though I never ate inside it's always clean.Never ever had a bad pizza. They have the best tasting sauce i have ever had. You literally get what you ask for. It's always a pleasure and a treat to eat here.

The G.

Yelp
If you come here you HAVE to get the pizza extra well done all I'm saying is if the cheese is white and there's little oil its undercooked it's supposed to be yellow and oily from edge to edge and the crust should be a little burnt if you think otherwise your stupid and don't know real food example photo below
google avatar

Rhonda O.

Yelp
Excellent! The pizza melts in your mouth. Tiny hidden gem. I ordered the thin crust while I was waiting and it was delicious but I got the Sicilian and I don't think it's as good as the thin but everybody has their taste bud, mine say thin crust! Take out place!
google avatar

Oliver C.

Yelp
Pizza is the best it is literary the best pizza in the whole entire world! The Service is great ! The worker are so sweet and kind

Diana L.

Yelp
Moved to Florida from NY and found this lil gem. Pizza has good sauce, flavor and of course crunchy crust. Chicken parm hero was good but skimpy on the chicken.
google avatar

Erika R.

Yelp
I have been going to Antonio's since I could remember with my parents and now I go with my kids. Hands down the best pizza you will ever have in South Florida. This is a place for families to come and enjoy for generations.
google avatar

Ada G.

Yelp
Best pizza I've ever had! Pizza is authentic, garlic rolls are absolutely delicious, the service is great. It's a very small place, about 5 tables but I luckily have seating every time when I dine in. The to-go line is always busy, which should say a lot. I absolutely love coming here, you can tell it's family owned, the staff makes you feel at home. My son dropped his drink yesterday and I felt horrible but they were so sweet about it. Thank you all so much for the amazing food and service!

Yelp
Wow wow wow TASTES LIKE TRUE NEW JERSEY PIZZA!!!!! Hallelujah!!!! We've lived in south Florida for 4 years now and man oh man we are so happy we have finally found a pizza spot that tastes like true northern pizza. Delicious crust. Thinness was on point. Sauce was wow. Everything about the pizza makes me miss "home" in a really really good way. We will be back soon to dine in!

Sean M.

Yelp
I grew up in Miramar and have been coming here since the 90s with my parents. Now, my kids only request Antonio's pizza. Even after moving 20-30 minutes away, this is still my go to pizza spot. At least once or twice per month. If you want better pizza then you're going to have to fly to New York or something. This is the VERY BEST pizza that South Florida has to offer. By far. Nothing compares.

Andy A.

Yelp
Excellent Brooklyn style pizza. Probably the best in so flo. Good food a few tables to sit but it's basically a old school pizzaria
google avatar

Patty M.

Yelp
The best pizza, lasagna and garlic bread in town, family operated, small seating area and super busy pickup area! There is nothing you can order that's not so delicious! I'm not a pizza lover but this place is truly special. Service is fast ! The ambiance is super busy around meal times.
google avatar

Mario L.

Yelp
Every time I'm around the area I always stop at this spot for pizza. Closest you can get to NY pizza in south Florida. This place is always packed and always busy. So on game night or weekend get your orders early. Won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Miss Eve S.

Yelp
Love this place. They make great pizza, fresh and delicious. Highly recommend the sausage pizza and pepperoni. I didn't give it 5- stars because they accidentally gave me order to another customer in two occasions. And when you already have to wait 25-35 mins, this can damper your evening. But other than that, great pizza place
google avatar

Lisa H.

Yelp
Best Italian cuisine in town, andvI should know. I'm first generation in my family born in the US. I was raised on this DELICIOUS food!

Luz Marina C.

Yelp
This is the best restaurant you feel like home, the services is amazing. María is the best and everybody there.

Naty T.

Yelp
Fair warning. This is a hole on the wall but man is it good. We looked for a pizza place cause we just wanted a slice and this place did not disappoint. So fresh. So good. Taste was great. We asked for it well done and it was toasted to perfection. We also had some garlic rolls and they had so much garlic. It was amazing. We don't live close but would def come again. Also, while we sat and waited, the amount of to go orders this place manages is crazy! That's always a good sign!

Eileen R.

Yelp
Best pizza around Miramar. Great service. Place is clean and not rowdy Totally will recommend.
google avatar

David S.

Yelp
I really don't want to give a great review because it means I have to wait longer to pick up my pizza, garlic rolls and chicken wings. So don't go. . I will continue though because it is the best NY style Pizza out there.
google avatar

Arelis M.

Yelp
I cannot say enough good things about Antonio's Pizzeria. The true New York City style pizza in South Florida. Big slices, bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and the best pizza I have ever had!. They have a variety to choose from the menu. This restaurant is simply the BEST pizza place. I wish I could eat at Antonio's pizzeria every day! Fantastic takeaway or dine in.

Yelp
We live on the other coast and stopped in for dinner before heading home after a football game. The location was good for us- easy to get to and in a shopping center so we could run into the grocery store before hitting the road for our drive back home. Before we even entered the building, we knew we had picked a good spot. We could smell all of the delicious food from the parking lot as we walked in. We picked the spot because we thought we would get pizza, but once we saw the menu, we all opted for more traditional Italian meals- baked ziti, eggplant parmigiana, pasta with marinara sauce and a meatball sub. The meals came with house salads and garlic knots. The garlic knots were delicious- they have TONS of garlic on them- so only make this choice if you are a true garlic lover (our family can't get enough of it). All of the meals were very good. We especially liked the marinara sauce. The only downfall was the house salad- it consisted of iceberg lettuce, tomato slices, and a vinaigrette dressing. Otherwise, our entire meal was 5 star. Despite other reviews, the staff was very polite and professional with our family. And although we didn't eat pizza- we saw LOTS being ordered. We could watch them make the pizza right behind the counter and could definitely smell them. Most customers were ordering pizza for take out. We will definitely be back next time we are in town, and I definitely want to try the pizza that looked so tempting while we were there. Thanks for the great food and service Antonio's!! PS- we fed our family of our for close to $50!!! Never thought I would see prices close to that again!

Yelp
Hands-down, some of the best pizza that I've had in all of Broward county staff pretty friendly takeout. It's pretty quick and when you walk in you definitely know you're in an Italian restaurant.i

Valda R.

Yelp
Easy to place an order. Nice and polite service. Prices are reasonable. Hot and delicious food.

Tyler P.

Yelp
The crust on our pizza was amazing and our waitress Linda took great care of us. Also the ice is amazing.
google avatar

Hollis C.

Yelp
It's pizza Friday and once again we are out an about trying new locations. Today we decided to dine in at Antonio's, which was a mistake. There is absolutely not enough room in this place to sit and eat comfortable. You'll sit at the table and people in line are almost sitting with you The pizza was very thin and the sauce tasted like ragu sauce (very sweet). I had heard a lot about this place and sadly we were disappointed. The search for Umberto's pizza replacement continues

Shanita W.

Yelp
The pizzas are very delicious and also their garlic bread, but we only get garlic bread every now and then the toppings are a little pricey, but other than that the pizza is delicious. Never had any problem with the service. It's always been good because we always tend to get takeout. The atmosphere we're not in there long enough to experience anything with the atmosphere, but it seems like it could be somewhere nice to sit down and eat, but can tend to get a little crowded because there aren't too many tables in there because it's really a takeout place.

Cherl S.

Yelp
I love their pizzas and the house salad.Garlic roll knots are awesome. The staff has always been pleasant and welcomes you a smile.
google avatar

Irene M.

Yelp
This pizza is awesome. Super hole in the wall, been around over 30 years. Not too heavy on the sauce, thin crust, and the cheese is flavorful. More of a take out place, there is limited seating but the service is super quick if you choose to stay.

Catie A.

Yelp
Best pizza I've ever had. We were on vacation and read reviews about Antonio's and decided to go with it. So glad we did! We are still talking about it a month later
google avatar

Cat C.

Yelp
Just like many have said ... NYC pizza style! I love it even though my body is now lactose intolerant and inflammatory with certain foods. It's not something I can have all the time but we'll worth it when I do. They remodeled the place and it looks very pleasing to the eye. Great staff!
