Le Chamber

Super cool hidden bar with a lot of charme. I found this Gem on Instagram and it’s totally worth a visit. The barkeepers are so very kind and explain you every detail about the Cocktails you Order. I got myself two of the Signature Cocktails. The chamber story and the laughing budda. Both were really good, delicious and very fruity. But if you prefer regular Drinks, they also mix you any kind you wish. And you can also choose from a Whiskey Menu with a very big selection. They also offer food, but i didn’t try any. With my Drinks i got free still Water and some Snacks and the whole Ambiente was quite a nice experience. Since i was alone and went to the bar very early, I could chat a lot with the Barkeeper and it was very cool to get to know some Information about Korea, the food etc. I can really recommend this Place and would Come back again.

I’ve been here twice now, one of my favourites of the Asia’s 50 Best Bars. I was certain I had reviewed this after my first visit 12 months ago but apparently not. I don’t remember what I ordered then but this time I got the Movie Snack which was incredible, and I can’t remember what the second one was but it was very refreshing 🥒 Some of the popular bars can be a little pretentious but this one isn’t at all 💚

I had such amazing time here, drinks were so cool about 28k but they are delicious. The vibes are very nice and they had live piano when we arrived. The staff are so so friendly and speak amazing English. If you are in the area make sure you visit the Alice Cheongdam bar too!

Never in my whole life have I experienced a place as excellent as Le Chamber. We have stayed in many luxury hotels, have visited cocktail bars all over the world and yet nothing beats the level of discipline, service and quality we experienced here. We were seated at the bar and stayed for 4 drinks, all of which were exceptional. All bartenders were very kind and attentive. Whenever I would go up to use the restroom, my chair would get moved for me, my cocktail would get put in the fridge until I come back and a cold towel would be waiting for me upon return. If I would have to recommend 1 place to a friend in Seoul, it would be Le Chamber!

Hmm the judges need to do a better job.. this is definitely nowhere near the top 50 in Asia. We’ve been to many bars on the list, and I don’t understand the hype behind Le Chamber. Clearly the 4.4 star Google review has folks who agree. The bartender didn’t recommend us the right cocktails from what we asked for. The drinks served were quite basic - two different cocktails my friends ordered were served in regular glasses. The bartender slammed my friends drink on the counter when serving, causing the taco with gochujang sauce to slip into the drink. Bartender had to get a tweezer to fish it out. We ordered the fries and prawns as we were hungry coming over without dinner. The portions were huge but also very basic and strange for a cocktail bar. You’d expect elevated bar bites - instead of huge platters which were hard to eat at the bar as our seats were quite low. We decided to head out after the disappointing first drink and food, as well as poor service. No one checked in even one time after plonkling down our food and cocktails. Felt super unwelcome - perhaps the staff were too snobbish because of the apgujeong rodeo area. Def head to Bar Cham (#6) or Miners in Hannam-dong. Amazing drinks made with heart as well as service with staff who take pride in what they do. Judges, please explore Asia properly before you blindly pop these folks in 2026’s list. It’s time to move on from these folks whose ego is too huge, without substance to back up their awards.

This speakeasy bar is one of Asia top 50 bars. We had to come and we made a booking via Instagram (you can only book for time slots before 8pm). I wasn’t sure if my booking got through on that day despite the confirmation via Instagram. But we were early so there was still some space available. The initial entrance was obvious but there is a bookshelf that you needed to find a book to gain entrance into the bar. That was fun! The atmosphere really live up to the speakeasy theme as it was dimly lit with very vintage furnishings. Included in the KRW10000 cover charge was water (a choice between still or sparkling). And also delicious snacks which were pretzels and chips. Next were the drinks. Each drink came with a bit of a gimmick and we really enjoyed it. The taste of the drinks were also excellent and we can see why this bar won its spot on the list and we would highly recommend giving this place a visit.

Cocktails are delicious and the manager was super friendly and explained whatever we asked. For example the differences between Korean whiskeys. Last but not least, it is part of Asia’s 50 bars in the world and you can find a couple more on the same street. One of the coolest speakeasies you can ever visit. You actually have to work for it and find it. I went to Starbucks. Then up some stairs a few floors. Then up an elevator that’s across a hall way I think. Mirror / button. Fun place and nice staff.
