Perdida - Mexican Kitchen

Finally made it to Perdida in Westminster. By far my favorite spot in Colorado! The drinks, the staff, the atmosphere 10/10! All the plates are shareable which is what I love the most. Everything well seasoned and I love that I can order a grande margarita and live my best life- just missing the beach in Mexico! we had the chile rellenos today which I love -the ranch that comes with it is amazing! My favorite prickly pear margarita is heaven on early. Got the birria fries that did not disappoint! Can’t wait to visit again and snag some tequila for the house!

Walking into this place felt like rediscovering a neighborhood I once called home. I lived in Wash Park for 13 years, and while it’s always been a great area, it was never exactly known for standout restaurants. After moving to the suburbs a few years ago, I met a friend there for lunch this summer and stumbled upon this spot by chance. From the moment we stepped inside, the inviting decor, warm service, and lively atmosphere pulled us right in.We sat outside on a gorgeous sunny day, sipping what I’m convinced are the best margaritas in town, and the food completely blew us away. My friend and I have since gone back, which says a lot because we usually like to try new places but this one keeps calling us back. Last night, I brought my husband and daughter to celebrate the 17th anniversary of our first date, which, coincidentally, took place in the same building years ago when it was Wash Park Tavern. Now reinvented as a Mexican restaurant, it’s officially become one of our favorites. My husband even said it’s the best Mexican food in all of Denver, and I agree, we happily drove 30 minutes across town for it. The place was buzzing on a Friday night, so make a reservation if you go. The queso with braised beef was phenomenal, the steak fajitas were among the best I’ve ever had, and the margaritas are still perfection. We wrapped up with the Ghirardelli brownie and ice cream, which absolutely knocked my socks off. We’ll definitely be back — again and again.

The vibe and aesthetic of this restaurant are absolutely gorgeous—such a beautiful spot with a great atmosphere. I do wish we had been asked if we wanted to sit outside since it was a pretty warm day, but luckily the temperature ended up being manageable even though it did heat up a bit. Our waitress seemed a little frazzled and not as attentive as we had hoped, which made us feel a bit bad for her—I truly hope she has a better day next time. On the bright side, the general manager stopped by our table to check in, which was very warm and welcoming. As for the food, it was good with decent flavor. The tacos are a bit pricey—about $16–$20 for two tacos with rice and beans—but I understand that given the Washington Park location. Overall, I would definitely come back here for happy hour with friends. The ambiance alone makes it worth another visit!

Ruben was my server and he did a great job sharing recommendations of the menu as it was my first time here! I had the Baja Enchilada and the jalapeño cream was so good! I have been to the sister restaurant in Arvada and they are equally delicious. This has a great vibe and the service was awesome!

It start off rough. The hostess gave away our table and wasn’t empathic. But another hostess sprung into action, comped our apps and drinks and got us a new table with great service. Had the avo tacos and ceviche. So delicious. All in all, we had an amazing time.

Great food, amazing presentation, and very good service. Only downside could be noise in the bar area can be a bit loud for an upscale restaurant, and parking can be tricky (there is vallet though). I've been happy with the taste of everything ordered. Theme is Hispanic crossed with beach/surfing. Chairs are comfy and the benches have large pillows like a couch. Chips & salsa come with 3 different flavors/spicy levels. Food quantity is decent, but you'll likely need more than just an entre if you're hungry.

I have been to Perdida twice. The Wash Park location. My favorites and what I order often: the jalapeño Caesar salad. With grilled chicken. It is so tasty. I always take a bit to go and can enjoy a bit of my salad the next day. The queso and guacamole and salsa are all excellent. I recommend all 3! The beans and rice on the side are SO good. Not just there to fill the plate. The fajitas are good and the tacos are also tasty. I am not much of a drinker but their NA beverages have great flavor and options. I’ve heard the margaritas are delicious. I went here on a date and with friends. Both spots were good for both. Servers were especially attentive and helpful. Losing a note for atmosphere as we really enjoyed it inside just happened to sit next to a table that slightly brought down our experience as it pulled the entire rooms attention. Overall 5 stars!! Will definitely go to Perdida again

I brought my parents here and they won't shut up about how great everything was....I have to agree with them. Atmosphere was great. We went for lunch on a Friday. We were seated right away. Finn was our server and he was fantastic. From the chips and salsa to the tacos, tortilla soup and kale salad everything was so taste with amazing flavors. The margaritas were also fantastic. Would highly recommend this place to anyone.

One of my fav spots in Denver! The atmosphere is gorgeous, and there's tons of different seating options. Booths, tables, high tops, bar seating, indoor/outdoor! Family friendly, yet also perfect for a date. Service is always consistent and food and drinks are delicious. Highly recommend!!

This place is really great for covered patio seating, for margaritas, and for tacos. We've been twice and both times were pretty great! (Though the first time there was an issue with fruit flies... the second time they appeared to have gotten that issue under control) We recommend couples ordering two different tacos since you can't mix and match, but this way you can try the fish and the shrimp (which is what we did the second time) and be doubly happy! The queso with guac is also not to be missed - sounds odd but the creamy cold guac is a nice foil to the hot gooey queso... and the chips are made in house, strong enough to scoop all the deliciousness up! Margaritas (house, passionfruit, and strawberry) are tasty but one is all I needed, and a walk around the neighborhood afterward helped this lightweight feel OK about driving. Don't sleep on Perdida!

Perdida is a good staple on Gaylord Street when you want a spot with ambience and great service! The food is a little hit or miss, but you can't go wrong with their tacos, guac and margaritas. I prefer dinner over brunch, but hope to find something on the morning menu I like one day! There's tons of parking on the nearby streets and this is definitely a fun restaurant with a big group, as their patio can accommodate easily.

This spot is more 3 1/2 stars for me. But no halfsies on Yelp so I'll give it 4. That extra half point goes to Depot for being an amazing waiter. The drinks are good and strong. The ambiance is sooo cute, kinda small. They could benefit from some misters on the patio during the summer. But a bill being $120 for 4 drinks and 2 apps is willlllllld. The food is good, but our pork was a little dry. So for these prices, I need everything to be perfect. I'll probably go again tbh. I want to try other things on the menu. It's a simple menu, which I like. So it gives you the opportunity to give everything a shot.

I was skeptical reading other yelp reviews regarding the food. This isn't an economic place neither. Be ready to spend $100 or more. As far as flavour goes, the food was thorough and authentic. We sat at the bar and our server provided amazing service, answered questions and even gave recommendations. The place is beautiful and clean and plays wonderful music. I will be going back to try other menu items. I loved the food! was really satisfied leaving this beautiful structure. def recommend for a special night or even taking your visitors from out of town. My favourite was the appetizer, birria fries. loved the traditional margarita.

Great vibes. Sat at the bar with my mom. We got there at happy hour, which was nice! We ordered the guacamole, queso, and cali caliente on happy hour. Drinks were the best part. Nothing special about the food overall but had good flavor. We split the chicken/steak fajitas. Go for happy hour forsure! They need something on the menu that really stands out and makes it different. Service was great!

Servers here are always kind and patient. The chicken tinga tacos are so juicy and great amounts of food for the price! The tres leches cake is so tasty and delicately light. Love this spot!

We went here for a friend's 30th birthday with a group of 10 people (reservation) on a Saturday in December. The place was really busy, but we were seated at a nice long table and despite being a full restaurant, the noise level was very manageable and easy to hear one another. We started with the fried garlic shrimp which was great as well as chips and salsa. I got the elderflower prickly pear margarita which was good, but not my favorite. The majority of us then got the birria tacos which were delicious!

4.5 stars. Came here for a networking event. It's so busy! Coming through the front, there was no one to greet anyone for like 10-15 minutes. I was feeling patient because of awesome street parking I found. Eventually I was directed to the patio where the space was reserved. The waiter assigned to our area was fantastic. Super attentive and hard working. Loved the taco station that was set up, notably the shrimp. Some of the salsas set on the tables were fairly spicy, which I enjoyed. Lots of cocktail options but mostly focused on the spicy margaritas. Didn't like the churros at the end, they were too dry. I would definitely come back again overall and hope it feels a little less chaotic!

Service was really good; server was almost too attentive. Chips and salsa flight was really good. The chicken tacos were good and filling. I got the Baja enchilada which was good but did seem like it wasn't the freshest, like it had been made and sat for a bit. It wasn't super hot and the cream sauce on top wasn't quite as creamy/gooey like you would expect, almost like it would be if you reheated it the next day. But the flavor was good and the inside filling (shrimp) was cooked well.

Excellent service, and food. I'd give 5 stars for the service, drinks, app and desserts. The food was more 4 stars. I had the Baja tacos and they were good not great, the line was was ok, my husband liked it the beans were cooked with tomatoes so they tasted kind of like chili beans. The app we was was the Chile rellenos, and they were soooo good along with the green chile you dip them in. The drinks were good and not too sweet, and the tres leches was definitely homemade and made correctly! My husband loved his brownies and really enjoyed his entree which was the 3 best of plate? Not sure what it was called. Over all we'd like to come back for happy hour on the nice patio.

Love love the food we sat out on the back patio n that was really nice quiet and very warm. Service was okay this restaurant is very busy all the time regardless of day. We love the steak and steak tacos.

Absolutely love Perdida! Their street tacos are all very tasty. Service is typically pretty friendly and fast. We've never had an issue getting a seat quickly, though we typically go around happy hour and on a week day. The ambiance makes you feel as though you're dining in a coastal California joint though you're in the middle of a Denver neighborhood, land locked. Parking can be a challenge but again for good food and drink, it's always worth it to park in the surrounding neighborhood and walk it in.

We went here a while back for brunch and were super impressed. The space is quite large and really nice! The back patio is so lovely! We got the baja trio and street corn, both super good. My husband got the chicken tortilla soup which was really good. I got the roasted jalapeno caesar, which I was a bit bummed it wasn't spicy at all. The flavors were quite bland in fact. Everything other than my salad was great as was service. Definitely recommend.

While in Denver, I was so excited for perdida but the food left much to be desired :( we picked this restaurant because it looked beautiful and it is really pretty inside. Our server was great, food and drinks came out at a speedy time But my carne asada fajitas were so difficult to eat. I felt like I was going to break my teeth trying to chew the meat. No one in my group was wowed by the food. This restaurant is more for drinks and ambiance

Great SoCal vibe (including a very cool VW van with a table inside it). Tasty food and drinks, albeit maybe a tad overpriced. We love going here!

It really only takes a good restaurant a little bit extra to be a really good restaurant and I feel this place did the extra. They had some 3 choice dips for your chips and man not the salsa but some other thing like it they had was awesome. Coconut margarita was bomb too. The desserts were delicious too. All of it was good and I would definitely go back.

I would give this 3.5 stars but since that's not an option I'll select four because the customer service was pretty spot on. We popped in for brunch to celebrate a friends birthday. We tried majority of the offerings on the brunch menu. The cornbread was good but a little on the dry side for my preference (might just be the southern girl in me) the French toast presentation was gorgeous and very tasty. I didn't love the texture of the potato Flautas but I did like that they are served with guac. The breakfast tacos were alright but the bacon was slightly charred. The homestyle potatoes were a great side! I don't know if I would rush back for brunch but I'd come back to try the dinner menu.

Unimpressed- 1 star is from the overall ambience in general. Such a pretty space with a great vibe. I also loved that the back patio was heated and covered so we still got to enjoy the outdoors in chillier weather. 2star for the apps. We got the dip trio and each one was better than the last. The queso was so creamy and delicious, the salsa was fresh and out of this world, finally the guacamole was so good and totally hit the spot. They chips they had with the dips were also so good and so long making the perfect carrier for the epic dips. 3star for my friends reviews of the drinks. A bunch of people got different ranch waters, Baja spritz, sangria and margs and said that their drinks were really good. I personally didn't love my drinks. I got a skinny spicy margarita to start and it was so bleh and lacking flavor that I moved onto a firecracker to try and change things up but sadly this was lackluster as well. As for food: again the apps totally slapped. I then shared the yuca fries with a friend that were just ok (I think I make them better in the air fryer at home). I also got the veggie fajitas which came out with raw like veggies, black beans, some tortillas and a side of salsa, guac, cheese and sour cream. I was so upset with how the veggies were cooked (or lack their of) and felt that they were just bland overall. The plain black beans were watery and would have been way better if they were refried. The fixings we're fine (though I don't like queso fondido or sour cream so it just felt like a redo of apps. This place deff had its perks and would make a nice spot for drinks (maybe) and apps in a great atmosphere. However for the price and just overall quality I wouldn't go back for dinner. Full disclaimer: a bunch of people in my party did really like their meals and totally enjoyed their experience. My food and drinks were sadly just not up to par. Also the service was wonderful and the staff was so nice, so maybe I do go back for a second try.

Such a fun vibe near Wash Park in Denver. The food was delicious with great gluten free options! The cocktails were amazing and this place is huge with a variety of fun seating. Great to have a reservation or a pop in with a small group or sit at the bartop. Highly recommend!

Great service, food and libations. Our server was flawless, food was unique, establishment was VERY loud. So much so, that when you left you noticed the silence.

Been there several times amazing high end Mexican food. Service has been mostly great every time, once there was something where I was the swing table but that was the only time. It can be a little loud in the main seating area but out back on the "patio" it's nice.

The coffee is killer. Has that body and roastiness like a French roast, but with just a nice touch of bitterness. The breakfast tacos were solid and the poblano cornbread was nicely balanced, if a bit sweet. Top notch service by Corey and a light, open vibe and it was hard to beat for brunch.

This review is for the new location that just opened in Westminster. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. The decor is amazing. The service was top notch, and our server Isaiah was nothing short of amazing. Food was fantastic. This is not your typical Mexican restaurant. Expect high end unique food. You will not be disappointed.

Lovely spot for lunch when the weather is nice. Good food options and fun drinks. South Gaylord is always a great area to meet friends. The only issue at Perdida is the staff can be a little pretentious. The hostess was too busy too acknowledge us when we walked in. Make sure you have reservation, otherwise they'll make you wait!

We took friends visiting from out of town to Perdida for dinner- the ambiance and decor was great and the street where it's located is also very cute. We started with a salsa flight- I'm obsessed with salsa and being from Texas, also very opinionated when it comes to good salsa. My favorite of the 3 was the orange habanero salsa, second favorite the green, and least favorite being the classic red which tasted too much like marinara for my liking. For main courses, I had the Baja enchiladas which were very good- sauce on top was amazing. While my husband had chicken enchiladas with one green and one red. Those were good as well. Our friends also got the fish tacos and the fajitas, and both enjoyed their meals as well. Overall really enjoyed the experience and I think the ambiance really made it a 5 star vs 4!

Since the last dining experience was for a few cocktail drinks and a dessert, yesterday's dinner experience said more about what this restaurant could offer especially food wise. And they sure didn't disappoint us. Potato Flautas definitely caught my eye. The crispy texture of the tortilla (about 3 inches long) was perfectly crunchy. Those columns of Flautas (6 of them) stand in the center of the plate underneath the perfectly seasoned guacamole is such a beautiful presentation. What's rolled inside the crispy tortilla is the mashed potato and oh boy, this is now my FAVORITE approach at this restaurant or of the world. I can come back for that any day now. Great value at the price of $13. I was also impressed with the fish in the ceviche. It tasted la bit like shrimp but you know shrimp can be sometimes a bit chewy so I re-read the description of it and it's actually a snapper. And this ceviche is accompanied by a generous portion of chips. Like the Flautas, it's got a great value at the price of $15 because of the portion. Fish tacos (two of them which I didn't take a picture of) was also amazing. The way they battered the fish and cooked it was impeccable. Almost forgot to mention about my cocktail, "Hop To It". Breckenridge gin, carrot, ginger, cucumber, lemon are mixed in this concoction. Each of the ingredients especially the fruit and vegetables are perfectly balanced except the gin. The alcohol was weak and it tasted almost like a nonalcoholic beverage frankly. Our waiter was attentive even though it was a busy Thursday night. This restaurant has got a good ambiance but the only thing about this place is that it's quite noisy. My date and I had a bit of a hard time hearing each other but hey, this will not stop me from coming back to it again in the future.

Ambiance at this restaurant was really cool, food was good, but service was a little lacking. They were super busy but we had to give the hostess our information a couple of times and after we found seats at the bar we let her know and she had a hard time finding us in her system.

We went here for my sisters birthday and it was amazing. We had our on little area away from the main restaurant, and I thought that was very nice and made it more personal. The customer service was on point and our server was on it. We didn't have to wait or ask for anything. The drinks here are also great I got a strawberry margarita and am still thinking about it! The food was also very good and didn't have to wait too long. Overall would definitely recommend this place for a get together or something casual.

Absolutely stunning! This place is giving Tulum, beach vibes, hot girl summer, expensive, fancy, all the instagram vibes you need! It plucks you right out of Denver and transports you exactly to where you need to be! The drinks are marvelous. And the food is amazing. The staff is also just so well trained to take care of you! They know the menu so well and know what to suggest. This is definitely becoming a regular for me. It's definitely a must in Denver

Love this restaurant! Very trendy decor and vibes great for a spot to meet up with friends. Reservations are a must. In a nice area of Denver with good free parking nearby. I love the frozen coconut marg. Would go back for that because I love them and they make a great one! I had the cheese enchiladas which were great. The put meat in the red sauce and refried beans but we're very accommodating and had black beans and green salsa as substitutes. Also tried the birria tacos which were amazing! The chips and salsa were also super delicious loved all of the salsas. A bit pricey but definitely recommend this cool place.

Really good brunch food! It's a small menu, but all delicious. Drinks were pricey for the quality, but still good. Service was very interesting, not a lot of checking on us, we had to grab other people to get our waiter. Never cleared any plates out of our way so it was hard if you were trying to continue snacking on appetizers because there was no space. Overall a good brunch experience!

Fantastic cocktails, food, and service with a little bit of an LA vibe. A special thank you to Hailey our server, who took care of special dietary needs with aplomb. The staff make you feel like you're a regular even when you aren't. The salmon is my favorite, but the tacos are wonderful as well. I like spicy, and they don't disappoint.

I've been here twice for lunch and once for dinner. The Chicken Tinga Tacos are good and they'll definitely fill you up. I've also tried the fish tacos and chicken enchiladas with green sauce. All are really flavorful! The Guacamole is one of my favorites too. The service is always great and the ambiance is perfect and arranged well. I will definitely be back.

We found our New Mexican spot! We walked up during lunch on a weekend and were pleasantly surprised to be seated right away. There were good amount of people at the restaurant already. We started with the mango ceviche which was so fresh and delicious! We then had fajitas and cheese enchiladas. Both were delicious. Looking forward to coming back!

BF saw this place on IG, and said that we HAD to go. So off we went. LOVE the vibe!! It's really well done, with a huge bar, several separate seating areas, sidewalk seating, and a patio. Decor is varied and a good balance of fun and elegant. There are YUCA FRIES on the menu!! They're an obsession of mine, and Perdida's variation is YUM. Short ribs! Queso! Cotija! We had the chips and salsa trio to start, and the red pepper salsa is seriously GOOD. The red salsa was mild and slightly smoky. The tomatillo salsa has a slight bite. BF had the birria tacos, and I had the smoked jalapeño Caesar with chicken. SO DELICIOUS. Huge portion, with a deliciously seasoned if slightly dry chicken breast. Then we had the strawberry tres leches cake. Ooooh. Yum. The whipped cream, a delicate pink, is made in-house. BF's rice and beans weren't anything special, but he liked them. I had a ranch water (on Q's advice), and BF had an Arnold Palmer. Q was the BEST server!! Very knowledgeable about the menu. Absolutely flawless, friendly, professional service. We have a new favorite place :) I want to try the fajitas and the fish tacos.

The enchiladas were over smothered and the red sauce they put on it was so hot it made me not want any other food. The waitress tried to get me to sample other sauces and indicated the red was a trial and epic failure.... I ended up drinking 7 glasses of water and eating chips the rest of the time I was there. My husband ordered well done steak fajitas, the steak was medium to rare so they brought him another side of steak and it came out medium well. The atmosphere was nice but the service was slow. I had to find my waitress to pay her.

A wonderful ambiance for an easy date night. Their drinks are top notch and all of the staff have always been nice and fun. The birria tacos are one of my favorites as well as the mixed fajitas. The steak can be a little tough but overall one of my favorite mexican places in the neighborhood.

We were super super excited to finally try Perdida with so many incredible reviews. It's gorgeous, in a great spot, and the vibes are great. It's definitely a Place To Be Seen®. The cocktails are just out-of-this-world good. We each tried like 3 different cocktails off their list and every one was beyond amazing. Their margaritas are just like, fresh fruit margs and they're insanely good. I would (and will) go back here just for their cocktails. We felt the service was totally solid - a little slow at the start but they were pretty busy so it's all good. Zero issues with anything, and our server was a good dude. But the "worst" part about it was the food; nothing was bad at all, it was just really really average. I've had tacos at a dozen other restaurants that are as good or better than here. I had the carnitas tacos and while the carnitas was pretty good, the rest of the taco was just not special in any way. And the tortillas absolutely fell apart; usually flour tortillas are gently fried and that helps them hold together but these seemed like they came right out of the bag. The beans were decent, and the rice was FABULOUS. I was just disappointed because I've had tacos that are a lot better at just regular ol' restaurants. Was kind of a bummer. The wife felt the same way about her camarones tacos. Overall just kind of average food that was under seasoned. We also got into some chips & salsa with the salsa flight, and the queso. The chips were fine, absolutely standard - but the salsa flight was really fun. Great tasting salsas from the spicy to the marinara-esque red salsa. And the queso was decent, but a little lackluster. Wouldn't suggest anyone NOT get it, but it wasn't anything I'm going to tell my friends about. So we were bummed that the food really wasn't what we'd hoped for, but we'll absolutely come back just for cocktails.

Got seated immediately during cinco de mayo and the service was fast and friendly! Their food was great! Would go there again just for all that. The ambiance is super cute, too! I got a strawberry marg, chips & salsa, & shrimp fajitas. Yum!

We finally got to visit Perdida for brunch yesterday. What I like best about this restaurant is the beeezy ambiance. It's light and airy with two beautiful outside patios. It's such a fun atmosphere! Our food was very good. Our son loved his chicken tacos. My husband tried the shrimp enchiladas and I had the Huervos rancheros. My only complaint is that for the price, the portions were very small. Only one egg and one tortilla in the Huervos rancheros! This was very stingy for the $$$ price.

Overall my visit to Perdida was a solid 3.5 but I am rounding up to 4 because it has major potential. To start out - the space is one of the best in Denver. They have multiple outdoor patio spaces and an awesome dining and bar area. The vibe was immaculate and I wouldn't change a single thing about that! My friends and I sat in the back patio which was covered so can be used year-round. For drinks, we all tried various cocktails on the menu. I got the cali caliente which was very solid. Others at the table got the plain margarita, strawberry margarita, and the firecracker. Everyone seemed to like their drinks. For starters, we tried the chips and salsa, queso, yucca fries, calamari, and the ceviche. 2 out of 3 of the salsas were awesome, the green one was just okay. The queso and calamari were also stand outs and I would order again. The yucca fries were pretty bland without the queso on them and the ceviche was also super bland. The sauce it came in was very beautiful but it literally tasted like nothing. We added some salt and that helped, but I would not order this again. For entrees, we all ordered tacos. My friend and I split the shrimp tacos which were like a 2/5. My taco only had one piece of shrimp, I had to laugh at that. I'm not sure if my friend who had the other taco only had one but either way, kinda ridiculous when they were $18. It included two tacos and rice/beans. Service was good, no complaints there. Overall, I will definitely be back and I would likely stick with drinks and appetizers here.

YUM so much love for Perdida. This is our go-to spot for date night, especially when we're missing the coast! The atmosphere is chill yet lifted, the food is SO fresh and fantastically unique in the best way possible. Wonderful drinks. I'm vegan and the great staff always does everything they can to accommodate.

Inviting atmosphere, especially enjoyable in the summer. The interior decor and vibe reminds me of a tucked away oasis in Tulum rather than Denver. Beautiful lamps, tile, the bar setup in the middle of the restaurant is a fun touch! amazing cocktails. Food is tasty but didn't deliver on all notes. Carne asada was under seasoned. This is a great happy hour destination.
