The park is open from dawn to dusk and offers convenient amenities like restrooms, outdoor showers, picnic areas, and boardwalk access through the dunes, making it easy to enjoy a comfortable beach day. Signage throughout the entrance is very informative, with clear rules about rip currents, submerged rocks, and general beach safety, which is especially helpful for visitors unfamiliar with Atlantic conditions. I also appreciated the strong emphasis on environmental protection, particularly the detailed guidance on sea turtle nesting and hatching season from March through October, reminding guests to respect wildlife and keep the beach natural and undisturbed. While dogs are not allowed in this specific area, directions to the designated dog beach crossover are clearly posted, which helps avoid confusion. Overall, Canova Beach Park feels clean, organized, and thoughtfully managed, making it a great spot for families, nature lovers, and anyone looking for a peaceful and responsible beach experience.

I really enjoy taking my dogs here and the days I don’t bring them it’s still nice to walk the beach front and see other pups. The water is nice and clean too.

Great place to take your dogs. Most dogs are on leashes, but there are several without. I would suggest bringing poop bags with. There is a place to wash the dogs off and a place for humans to wash off. If you think you have your stuff back far enough, move it back a little bit further. I didn't opps

Wonderful spot for your pet to enjoy. We swam, walked the beach, chased birds, and saw a rocket launch. Awesome spray down area and decent restrooms.

Ample parking for a quick getaway to the beach. The boardwalk transforms you from the city to vacationers paradise. Clear, blue waters and a seashell enthusiasts secret find.

This is the Melbourne Florida beach 🏖️ that allows dogs 🐕 on the beach 🏝️ they just updated the grounds and bathrooms 🚽 This is an easy access beach 🏖️ straight off Eau Gallie causeway and HWY 95

This was a great place to bring my dog. All of the dogs we encountered were super friendly. There is a hose available to wash up when you are all done soaking up the sand and sun. Make sure to bring shoes to protect your dog’s feet or carry them to the water because the walk through the sand is hot especially during the summer.

Easy access to the beach, foot, and body rinse station for your candy feet/bodies and good for rinsing off your dog, too. Pet friendly. There are restrooms and a water fountain. Lots of cute couples with their dogs. Families too.
