We happened upon this place completely by accident, and it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and full of charm — the kind of spot that makes you want to linger over your meal. The menu featured fresh, seasonal dishes that were clearly made with care and creativity. Every bite was delicious and beautifully presented. The waitstaff were incredibly attentive without being overbearing, and it was clear they genuinely cared about making sure guests had a great experience. The owner even stopped by our table to chat, which added such a personal, friendly touch — you can tell they truly take pride in what they’ve created here. We will definitely be back in the future!

Hannah's is for sure a Michelin Guide-worthy-of-a-mention restaurant. Come hungry, come curious and come with friends and family! Perfect place to impress a date too. Or the wife on your anniversary. We came with a specific urge and that was a big juicy burger. Guess what Hannah's has?! A one big juicy burger with 1/2 lb patty. It passed with flying colors. It was a battle to leave some space for a dessert, but we managed to accomplish just that. Personally, I could use a picture book or a full on presentation of all the named out dishes. It was so hard to choose. We picked a carrot cake and a flour-less chocolate cake with raspberry sorbet. The servers are attentive, knowledgeable and professional. We left reluctantly, wishing we had bigger stomachs. The experience was satisfying and uplifting.

I loved the bacon wrapped in dates, that's my all time fave now. My only issue is with the salmon dish. My salmon was bland, lacked seasoning. Aside from that, everything else was wonderful

This was a delicious meal! We had a fantastic server who was knowledgeable about all the dishes, gave great recommendations, and was very tentative. The food was even better! The best flourless chocolate cake of my lifeeeee.

Gourmet decadence! Everything was cooked to perfection. The service was top tier. It was perfect for date night. We will definitely be back.

If I could give this 6 stars I would, Brunch here is to die for, cocktails are great, food is amazing. Our server was the bartender and she was great, plus really good with the drinks and menú explanations. Truffle fries feed like 4 people keep that in mind, they are reallyyy good. We had the Grand Marnier French Toasts, the burger, Smoked Salmon crepes and the Croque Madame they are all delicious. Daily breads were really good also.

A Review of Hannah's in Denton, TX Hannah's Off the Square is a true gem in Denton, and my recent visit was a perfect example of why it's a must-try for anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. I had the pleasure of trying the Hannah Burger 21 and the Salmon No. 7, and both dishes were absolutely outstanding. The Hannah Burger was cooked to perfection, with a juicy patty and a delicious combination of toppings that created a truly memorable flavor profile. The Salmon No. 7 was equally impressive—flaky, perfectly seasoned, and served with a complementary side that highlighted the quality of the fish. I would give both of these dishes a 9.5 out of 10. They were not just meals, but culinary masterpieces. Beyond the incredible food, the service was top-notch. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The entire staff seemed to be on the same page, and it was clear that the high level of service is a priority. A special shout-out must go to the manager, who was a great presence in the restaurant. They were actively engaged with the staff and customers, ensuring everything ran smoothly and that everyone was having a great time. This kind of hands-on management makes a huge difference and contributes to the overall excellent atmosphere of the restaurant. Hannah's is more than just a place to eat; it's a complete dining experience. With phenomenal food, great service, and a good manager at the helm, it's a place I'll be returning to again and again.

I can't believe this was our first time here (our friends who brought us have been b4). Just blown away by not only the regular menu, but the seasonal too....oh, and they had a daily special! Service was spot on (I've managed Zagat and Michelin restaurants before), and I know great service. Prices were reasonable too. Not steakhouse spendy, but definitely not fast casual. And the best part, what you received for the price was great - I hate using "value", but they hit a sweet spot. Suffice to say we'll be back - it's not a far drive, but well worth it.

Yelp
What a beautiful restaurant! Vintage couch, an old phone booth, and antiques fill the space. Dark woods throughout, and gorgeous old tile floors. It's just breathtaking! The wait staff is outstanding! The perfect combination of being nice and helpful. Making sure I had all I needed for an enjoyable meal. The food is always the star. I had a chicken club sandwich - and it had elotes corn and thousand island dressing. It just mixed so well together! Always a pleasure eating here.

Yelp
Hannah's was better than we expected. Our service was excellent and it was a very well decorated and lit space! We were very impressed with how great the dates tasted and our dessert were fabulous as well! Not pictured is the cedar salmon we ordered which was also very tasty! Our waiter Adam was incredible. He answered all of our many questions and was so knowledgeable and friendly! Would highly recommend and would like to go back!

Yelp
I've been to Hannah's a few times for dinner and different events, and it's always a great experience. The menu has some nice, well-done dishes and it feels more upscale than what Denton used to offer. The ambiance is classy, definitely not a sweats kind of place. Service has been good, my water glass is always filled and the drinky- drinks are not only tasty but super cute. It's a perfect spot for any occasion you're celebrating or even generally for a nice meal.

Yelp
Great food with a more formal but still casual atmosphere. Staff was very attentive and the chef came out to check how we liked our meals. Escargot was not as good as Paris, but some of the better that I've had in the states. The quail stuffed jalapeño poppers were really good too. I had the duck a l'orange and the cod chowder. Both were excellent! They have a private parking lot to the side which is great in the downtown area where it can be limited. Prices are higher but worth it for the quality and presentation. Definitely will be a return visit when I'm back in town.

Yelp
I was in the area back in September and had a ton of time to kill and I just did a simple search of restaurants open near me. This one popped up amongst a few others, it didn't necessarily have the best reviews but I really was intrigued by the menu and photos. I made a reservation and went. I really didn't need a reservation for lunch, I was maybe one of 2 or 3 tables in the building. This place is located in the downtown area and has its own parking lot next to the building which is great. Walking in I reminded me of an older classy restaurant vibe near the bar. The host was very nice and seated me in the main dining room. My waitress was the sweetest, wish I would've gotten her name, she was very knowledgeable of the menu and gave decent recommendations. I love that they had Aqua Pana for water. I remember there was an item on the menu that initially peeked my interest, but when asking about it I was informed that particular item was a seasonal thing. Some of the items are seasonal. Love that but at the same time I was a tad bummed. I basically ordered enough food for like 4 people for myself. I had two large bags to bring home! Service was great here, food came out fairly fast, presentation was for the most part was pretty, portions were hefty and price point was decent on most items. My favorite items were the white bean hummus; the texture and taste combination with the almond, hummus and arugula was really nice. The truffle pomme frites were surprisingly excellent. Cooked to perfection, right amount of truffle and a ginormous portion. The key lime pie was really good. Last one of my favs was the bacon wrapped dates. I usually get these as my favorite steakhouse in Allen, so I couldn't pass these up. Only wish was that the dates were larger. So the next dish was the summer burrata. This was not bad but not great. Burrata has so much potential to be excellent and most places just do the normal heirloom tomatoes with basil, so of course I was intrigued with the ingredients. Personally it would've been way better if they just served it with the peaches or the watermelon; not both. It was a tad too busy and confusing with flavors eaten with both fruits. But apart it was really good. The ceviche was a bummer for me. The flavors didn't merry well and over all this was kinda bland. Beautiful presentation just not executed well with flavors for myself. Last was the bavette it was cooked to a perfect medium rare and was overall good but without the chimichurri the meat was bland. The Brussels were great, but the large amount of arugula placed as a side felt like an afterthought and wasn't listed on the menu description. Really wish I would've tried the salmon instead. But there's always next time. Overall my experience here was great and it was a nice little find in the area.

Yelp
My time at Hannah's wasn't terrible by any means, but for the "fancier" vibes that's often reported about them, I had high expectations. It's a larger restaurant with plenty of seating. Fresh flowers decorated every table. The music was at pleasant volume. They have a sizable and diverse menu, so you're bound to find something. My server was quick to greet me, give water, and take my drink order. I started with the soup du jour; a roasted lamb and duck soup. It didn't look very appetizing and tasted how it looked. It was very bland. Tasted more like a pot roast I made at home than lamb or duck. I ordered the grilled wagyu bavette steak as my entree with an order of grilled shrimp. To my dismay, there was a hair front and center on one of my shrimp. My waitress removed the shrimp and I was given three fresh grilled shrimp. The steak had good flavor and was cooked perfectly (medium rare). The chimichurri was delicious. The bed of Brussels sprouts was also yummy. The fries it came with were not good; they were cut extremely thick (about an inch) resulting in some undercooked fries. The entire meal was a good serving. I ordered the carrot cake for desert. It was good, but the cream cheese frosting was on the verge of being too sweet. It was a very moist cake though. This desert was comped (which I wasn't told when ordering) due to the hair on the shrimp. Overall I enjoyed my visit to Hannah's. 3 stars feels too low but 4 stars feels too high. The bland soup, undercooked fries, and hair on the shrimp tainted my first experience here. I would come back, but I'm not rushing it.

Yelp
Went for Sunday brunch and was BLOWN AWAY by the quiche! I was hesitant to order because of the price but it wound up being cartoonishly big and SO tasty (almost decadent). It was definitely worth the cost- I left happy and full. The restaurant itself is really nice with simple vibes and the staff was attentive. I definitely plan to return!

Yelp
Went for my birthday dinner last month and everything was excellent. Our server, Stevie, was so great at recommending entrees when I couldn't decide and the risotto app we had was so good. So thankful for them for making it a wonderful evening!

Yelp
This is a very elegant restaurant. Before you even visit the place, please set a reservation because it gets busy during the weekends and parking is only reserved for the restaurant. People will be towed if you arent a guest and you park in their exclusive parking lot. The menu is very simple and the food is delicious! The burger with bacon mixed in the patty made me question its safety. Pork is supposed to be cooked to 165F and having a burger with bacon mixed in that's not well done (or cooked to 165F) could be a health risk since the server asked us how we wanted our burger cooked. Maybe yall can answer this question? Overall, besides food safety, my group and I had phenomenal food! Our server was patient and took her time to repeat our orders back to her. The cherry on top was the carrot cake which was incredible!! It's homemade. Not too sweet; absolute perfection! Overall, this is a good place to dine.

Yelp
Absolutely perfect experience. Service was impeccable with just the right balance of attention without overstaying. We started with the bacon wrapped dates with shishito peppers that were crisp and packed with flavor without being too sweet. The mains were the smoked duck and goat cheese flatbread (crust was both crunchy and chewy as it should be and the duck was very tender) and the pork duo platter with pork belly and a tenderloin with creamed cabbage, pear puree and a wine reduction (fantastic!). Dessert was their flourless chocolate cake that was dense, rich, and reminiscent of dark chocolate fudge. Possibly the star of the meal as it was unlike any flourless cake I've had. Overall, I give our visit a 6 out of 5 stars!

Yelp
Really good food and great service. Love stopping by from a quick lunch or a date night dinner.

Yelp
Let's start with the server. Morgan was outstanding. Would ask to sit in her section again. Super informative and friendly. Seemed to actually care for us. The food, brunch, was REALLY good. Had the bacon wrapped dates, jalapeño quiche, and the brioche french toast. All of it was great. Really glad our normal place was too busy. Because of that, we ended up here and will absolutely be back.

Laura A.

Yelp
We went for the first time and everything was top notch. We had reservations (busy football night) and were seated immediately. The hostess stepped away to check on our table and three other staff checked to see if we had been helped. The seasonal offerings included an osso bucco and cantaloupe risotto. I've eaten around the world and the standard plus seasonal menus are so creative here. Between the three of us we had the truffle parm fries (not stingy with the truffle oil), quail stuffed jalapeño poppers, tomato basil soup (dressed with shaved parm and olive oil), wagyu bavette, sirloin, and osso bucco with an extra side of the risotto. All the food was perfectly cooked and the service was attentive and friendly - kudos Nicholas! Dessert. Wow. Flourless chocolate cake, crème brûlée, poached pear with marscapone, and a honey espresso cake with salted dark chocolate frosting. Oh, and house-made pistachio ice cream. There's a reasonable wine and liquor list with house cocktails and mocktails (the blood orange spritz was a great mix of flavors). All in all this is a great restaurant and highly recommend it.

Yelp
We went to Hannah's for my birthday for brunch. When we first arrived (no reservations for a Saturday brunch, we were greeted by a smiling hostess and asked for a square four-top table, to be able to sit next to each other in case it was too noisy and we could hear each other without yelling or having to raise our voices. The hostess took us to the back of the restaurant and put us in a rectangular booth. Before she left, we asked if we could be seated (again) at a square table. We were informed that all the squares were recovered and we could be seated in the bar. As we were taken to the bar, we noticed a high volume of the air-conditioning and heard no music. There was one couple at the bar and another couple seated at another four-top. Our server (the bartender) was wonderful, letting us know that an "On the House" birthday dessert was ready for us as we finished our meals. We started off sharing the Blue Oyster Mushroom appetizer. Magnificent! Lightly breaded with rice flour and fried and the mushrooms were oh so juicy. The two sauces which came with them, CHIPOTLE AIOLI & SWEET CHILE SAUCE, were perfect. Our entrees were the quiche and smoked salmon crepes. The quiche was the best I have ever had, but the crepes were not appropriate. I will only give high praise to the quiche, but must now write about the crepes, which were over-sauced (compare my picture below to their website's picture). The eggs inside of the crepes were rounded, which tells me that they were left over and reheated. The amount of the "Scottish Smoked Salmon" was hardly enough to be distinguishable. Again, look at my picture below and their online picture. The yellow color of the sauce I was served was day and night difference to the picture shown. Plus, there was so much of a sauce served on my order that I could not taste the egg in the crepe. There was no sign of a "smoked tomato" in the "bearnaise" sauce, nor could I taste any tarragon in the sauce, which is standard to all bearnaise. The entree was served flat, without any garnish, as shown in their menu picture. My complimentary dessert was a poached pear. I will not get into detail for this, however, I will say that it was served cold, I could not taste any distinctive flavor from what the pear was poached in and is was so hard that I had to use a steak knife to cut it. This was a hit and miss. We MAY go back for some other time, but it certainly will not be for the crepes or poached pear.

Yelp
Went to eat here at Denton while at conference and the food was very good. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I had a girls brunch today at Hannah's. I have been eating here for years and today was beyond unacceptable. First off, there were only 3 tables in the main dining room and still took over an hour to get our food. I ordered my eggs over medium, they arrived so hard and rubbery, they were inedible. The quiche says large on the menu, very small and tasteless. Our waitress barely checked in us. The prices are even higher now for less satisfying dining experience We used to love Hannah's. I don't know what happened.

Yelp
Loved the jazz music on a Saturday afternoon. Atmosphere is dimly lit and feels at once classy steakhouse and modern bistro. Please note that despite being "open" all day, they stop seating at 2:30 PM. Because of the limited menu at brunch we opted for tapas to share. Our waitress was very sweet, but delivered our smoked salmon sideboard without the dill cream cheese and with a rotten grape front and center. Clearly the kitchen is missing the mark and quality control required by waitstaff might need to be part of the training. She did apologize when she offered to box our leftovers and I asked to exclude the rotten produce. She replaced the grapes for my box to go. Burrata salad was perfectly dressed and delicious. Roasted vegetable flatbread was topped with an excess of leafy greens which were nicely dressed with a balsamic reduction, however the roasted vegetable and hummus toppings underneath were indeed flat- the dish was also lukewarm despite arriving last to the table. After reading so many positive reviews I was disappointed, but will try again one day in hopes it was an uncommon experience.

Yelp
Ah, dear reader, let me set the scene for you--because this was no ordinary dinner; this was a full-blown gastronomic love letter, penned one luscious bite at a time at Hanna's off the Square in Denton, where the local charm flirts with culinary sophistication in a way that makes you want to brag to all your friends about your newly discovered secret. Picture this: I flew in, jet-lagged but heart aflutter, aiming to sweep my wife off her feet with a meal that spoke both of celebration and quiet wonder. We began with the Summer Burrata, an artful concoction that was less appetizer and more orchestral overture. The burrata itself, creamy and lush like the welcome hug you didn't know you needed, sat decorated with flambéed local Texas peaches--the kind of peaches kissed by sun and flame until they sing with sweetness and subtle char. Add to the mix fresh figs, crowned with a brûlée topping that crisped just right, waltzing alongside compressed watermelon perfumed with lime zest, peppery watercress, heirloom tomatoes in a teasing sweet chili sauce, and a sprinkle of pecorino cheese to round it all out. It was as if each ingredient was a performer on stage, taking its moment but never stealing the show. The main event unfolded with my wife's veal osso buco -- a dish that practically whispered "patience" in its tender braise, quivering in a rich, flavorful tomato sauce that felt like a warm Italian embrace. Creamy polenta offered a buttery soft landing spot, while roasted kohlrabi, pan-fried heirloom tomatoes, earthy beech mushrooms, and briny olives choreographed a harmony of textures. I, on the other hand, was all in on the American pistachio-crusted rack of lamb--a crust that cracked perfectly under my fork like a secret waiting to be told. Roasted potatoes, creamy Savoy cabbage, and buttered bok choy made their quiet but essential appearances, polishing off the plate with a patina of homey, satisfying goodness. Now, no meal worthy of its memories is complete without the curtain call: dessert. Poached pears nestled alongside amaretti and mascarpone, bathed in a caramel sauce so subtly sweet it spoke of European elegance rather than the brashness of sugar rushes. Not to be outdone, a pistachio lava cake oozed pistachio ice cream like liquid gold from the heart of its molten core. Two desserts daring each other to out-sweet the other, and, happily, both winning by a nose. The cherry--or shall we say pecan?--on top was Kyle, our waiter, a veritable triple threat of wit, warmth, and wisdom about every dish and wine pairing (which, by the way, I challenge you to find better). His presence elevated the evening from merely delightful to genuinely memorable--because good company, much like good food, is the secret ingredient you just can't fake. And then, the personal touch: the gracious owner and the executive chef stopped by our table, the kind of hospitality that doesn't feel rehearsed but spontaneous--a genuine inquiry into our experience that made the whole evening feel like a rare, shared secret. Here's the kicker: this beacon of exquisite food and heartwarming service has been quietly nestled in my wife's own hometown for 24 years, and yet, it took a flurry of airline miles and a weekend tryst for us to stumble upon it. A hidden gem if ever there was one, Hanna's off the Square is a balm for the soul and a celebration for the palate, and it has now earned a permanent place on our itinerary. So if you find yourself anywhere near Denton, do yourself a favor--skip the usual suspects, make your reservation at Hanna's, and prepare for an evening that is less about just eating and more about savoring the art of being together. Because some destinations aren't just places on a map; they're meals shared in a moment, forever remembered.

Yelp
We celebrated our daughter's birthday at Hannah's this year. We had the bisque, the charcuterie, a couple drinks, smoked salmon, a steak, Chicken Saltimbocca, and the crème brûlée. Our favorite was the smoked salmon platter that had giant capers on it. Our server was friendly and did not rush us at all while we took our time eating. The restaurant is dimly lit which makes the ambiance quite cozy and intimate. This is a great spot for a special meal or a date night.

Yelp
Absolutely beautiful!! The cheese boards are to die for and the food is all very well portioned

A true Denton staple! Unique dishes and great service! Brie was so helpful and made great recommendations!

Yelp
Lovely place and lovely staff. NOT lovely prices. At all. I understand it's Texas, and because I get it, I expect better from their butter drowned THIN $70 rib eye. COME ON PEOPLE! DelFrisco's chain can do better without killing the cow with excess butter. 14 ounces? Ok, got it. Thin and passed the butter point. Not good, just ok steak. Unfortunately. Shrimp and grits cake? Underwhelming. I did love the kale cesar, and anyone who knows me knows I have a hate-hate relationship with kale - but I did appreciate well "lightly dressed" salads. And the dates wrapped in bacon are definitely delicious sweet-salty treats. Bar 1/2 happy hour drinks AND the bartender are a GREAT pair. Overall, very professional and attentive staff, and an ok overpriced meal.

Kelley J.

Yelp
This place is awesome in every way!! Great food and service for bunch!! The atmosphere is awesome as well! Would highly recommend for lunch! Last time we went in though they didn't have the bread sampler which we normally like to get before the meal so they need to bring that back!!!

Yelp
I love this place. Definitely beautiful and the food is always amazing. Perfect for date nights. Their brunch is wonderful too. Best scrambled eggs I've ever had. Romantic setting! Prices match the quality of the atmosphere

Yelp
I was nearby for training and decided to try this place for a steak. Sat in the bar area, cocktails were great, as was the food. The truffle fries are amazing along with the meatballs as appetizers! I side the ribeye, and the flavor was outstanding! Juicy steak, tasty mashed potatoes and the fried onions were a nice sweet treat on top! Wish we lived closer! Great service by the female bartender too!

Yelp
We visited Hannah's for the first time to celebrate Father's Day. The interior of the bar and dining room spaces is lovely, in a "rustic-elegant Texas" sort of way, and we enjoyed cocktails in the bar prior to dinner, which were EXCELLENT - including perhaps the best French 75 we've been served in North Texas. Food was lovely, as well - our salads were fresh and well-prepared, our mains were delicious, and the dessert was enjoyable as well. (Although Hannah's was out of their "signature carrot cake" the evening we dined, which was a big disappointment since this was the one dessert that Dad had his heart set on for Father's Day...) Anyhow, the food was great and the environment was very pleasant - but we're deducting two stars for the PRICES! This place is EX-PEN-SIVE, so be prepared to shell out a pretty penny for your drinks and dinner!!! $16 for a salad, $32 for a lamb burger, $65 for a shortrib entree, etc. We truly enjoyed all the food we tasted, and we think everything was prepared very well, but we simply can't afford to dine at Hannah's on a regular basis, given the price point of this restaurant. Maybe we'll try Hannah's again in the future for another special occasion if we're feeling particularly "rich" - but if we do, it better come with a guarantee of carrot cake... ;-)

Yelp
A few words are needed to help organize a fairly brief review, on the basis that when I last tried to eat at the location, it was under other management, as the short-lived Texican Tex-Mex restaurant, pre-COVID-19: From my sketchy memory, I recall that it was a very spacious patio area with connecting dining rooms, a relaxing space for intimate dining and special dates, a mere minutes walk from the downtown Denton square. It's time for a visit to see what, apart from the ownership, has changed! Happy dining, wherever you happen to be. Cheers, Mark F.

Yelp
Food was spectacular - we started with the pomme frites, my husband had the lamb burger and I had the Grilled Wagyu Bavette steak. So incredibly good. Portions are large so consider sharing. Glad I didn't share because now I have leftovers! Whitney was an excellent server and Phil the owner stopped by the check on us. Quiet and cozy and easy to carryon a conversation. We will be back!

Yelp
I dined at this lovely restaurant on a Saturday night recently, and couldn't have been happier with the whole experience. Both the food and the service were excellent. But, I must rave about their "above and beyond" efforts to return some sunglasses I accidentally left at the restaurant. I live in Houston, so it involved a trip to the post office and much effort. The sunglasses were brand new and a special gift, so I was so very grateful and appreciative of their kind willingness to return them to me. Hannah's will be my number one restaurant anytime I am in Denton! They deserve 5 stars!!

Greg V.

Yelp
Excellent from beginning to end. The beef wagyu was exquisite, and the salmon was smoked incredibly. The brussels sprouts and the asparagus amazing. The lions-mane appetizer was sublime and the kale Caesar salad was absolutely insane. Better than Queenies! #1 spot in Denton!

Yelp
Good food and atmosphere..the servers are always good and the food memorable..can lean toward the pricey category for an everyday meal

Yelp
Absolutely perfect food, service, and ambiance. Manager Adam stopped by our table tonight and it was so nice to talk with him. The service by Sara was beyond perfect. The food was fabulous. Such a quaint place. Quiet enough to hear each other and music is very soothing and chill. If you have gluten issues or are a vegan, they are the perfect place. Definitely a romantic vibe, fresh flowers in the table too. We will return.

Yelp
Went to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary. The food and service were amazing. We started with cocktails and the bacon wrapped dates. My wife had the lamb burger and I had the rack of venison all with a nice bottle of Cabernet. Topped off the evening with a slice of their award winning carrot cake. We love the ambiance and lovely servers. We will return soon!

Yelp
I was irritated when we arrived. No parking. It is graduation weekend. It is Mother's Day weekend. It just so happens that it is our 10th Anniversary. We ordered appetizers and entrees. Quail Jalepeno poppers and beef carpochio. Flavors were spot on!! The poppers were nice and hot. I ordered the scallops that came with tofu and caramelized onions and stuff. It tasted great. When it arrived the scallops were barely warm. They were on top of a salad. If i am being honest, it needs something more "filling" added to it. I would reccomend a bed of ancient grains under the salad. Farro, wild rice, brown rice, quinoa.....cooked in chicken broth. If my hubby wasn't a picky little critter that won't eat brussel sprouts or bok choi, i would have walked away hungry. He also shared his little fancy potatoes. He ordered the rack of lamb. It came with creamed brussel sprouts (very yummy) and roasted fingerling potatoes. We were both very happy with the flavors and will definately come back to try something new.

Yelp
This is such a gem. The service is gracious and discretely attentive. I was tempted by the daily flatbread special, but the shrimp and crab hoagie won out. Crunchy, spicy shrimp and creamy crab salad - what's not to love? They weren't extremely busy, so we didn't feel rushed to end our visit - 4 of us coming from around the metroplex. It was a wonderful meeting place.

Yelp
Beginning with booking with Ava for a Thanksgiving Day family-style meal, through a welcoming reception in a quaint environment, excellent service by Nicholas, outstanding food; romaine lettuce with raisins, apples and toasted pepitas, turkey w brown gravy, anjus roast beef w red wine gravy, scalloped potatoes, stuffing patties, roasted parsnips w celeriac and pumpkin, mac and cheese, cranberry sauce, dessert (selected apple cobbler w vanilla ice cream and award-winning carrot cake), this was a relaxed, un-rushed, 5-star dinning experience.

Yelp
Fantastic food and outstanding service! We got the scallops and halibut and both were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and it is definitely a place where you can linger over drinks and dinner. The chef puts together some wonderfully creative combinations that were both delicious and beautifully plated. We will absolutely come back next time we're in Denton!

Yelp
Used to love going here for lunch...the new lunch menu is boring and the food was barely mediocre. Who in their right mind takes their most popular dishes off the menu?!?! I miss the previous chef

Yelp
Food Service Ambiance were all wonderful! I hadn't been here since I moved away almost 15 years ago. And, it's better than ever!

Yelp
Stopped in to Hannah's for an early dinner. I decided to sit on the patio which was so cute. I immediately ordered this French red wine (a blend) that was divine. Next, I ordered the fried green tomatoes and the wedge salad. A very simple meal but oh so good. The meal on the tomatoes were very crispy and good. They are served on a bed of arugula and bits of corn and onion. The wedge salad was one of the best I've had. I've developed a taste for blue cheese and this dressing was so good and had chunks of the cheese. It tasted homemade. The bacon also had a different taste - as if they added something sweet to it. All I know is the flavor combos with this salad were great! Can't wait to check this place out again. I love a great wine bar and this one is a hidden treasure in Denton!

Yelp
We had our wedding reception here and the food was fabulous! I would recommend Hannah's Off The Square to everyone. The wait staff were attentive, efficient and lots of fun. Our guests enjoyed the dinner and atmosphere. Meili was very helpful in all the decision-making process. We had a wonderful time. Thanks to all Hannah's Off The Square employees who helped make our wedding reception so enjoyable and fun. They certainly went the extra mile with service and a wonderful meal.

Yelp
The ambiance was perfect for grownups in this college town. Our server Nicolas was able to answer all of our menu questions and also made recommendations. The food was excellent! So delicious! I had the salmon.

Yelp
We've dined here many times and hosted private events , unfortunately this Friday evening dinner with friends left us disappointed. Scallops entree were rubbery and lacked hard crust exterior and the side of corn risotto was more like wet rice . My entree of chicken saltimboca was good , chicken was moist and came with delicious gnocchi. Our appetizer of fried green tomatoes was totally flat - lacked salt , batter crustbwas too thick and didn't have enough dressing . Wedge salads were both good Disappointed to say, factor in cocktails and bread and this $200 dinner was not worth it

Yelp
We have ordered from Hannah's a couple of times for special occasions. It's more of fine dining type of restaurant but without any pretentiousness or dress code. The first time we ordered to go and they came out with the food curbside and made sure we had everything. The last time we dined in, you can reserve a table from their website. The service was great both times but of course you have more interactions when you dine in. They had all tables social distanced well and always wore mask and ask all customers to wear mask until they are at their table. They have a pretty large menu and also specials. They also have vegetarian options that sounded good but I haven't tried it yet. At the last visit, I tried their fried green tomatoes as appetizers. They are thicker and not made the same way as you typically see it in Texas where they are thin and deep-fried with a dipping sauce. They were good and juicy, I wish it would come with more sauce. I personally like the more traditional fried green tomatoes I tried their special as an entree which was seafood jambalaya. It was very good with great flavor. I would personally like a bit more heat but all the flavors came together nicely. We were too stuffed to eat dessert there but I got the key lime pie to go and it was excellent. At a previous visit I had the lamb sirloin salad which was amazing! Great lamb flavor of great quality and the salad came together nicely. It was a very big serving and I had plenty of leftovers from that visit. Service has always been great, I like the decor of the restaurant. So far we have just been for special occasions, they have different type of dishes compared to many other restaurants which is nice and they seem to rotate their menu when seasons change.

Yelp
Service was excellent, ambience was quirky but nice, and the food was enjoyable, but a couple of key misses. Caprese salad included huge, fresh tomatoes, but the mozzarella pieces were tiny. Truffle fries were divine, no notes! I ordered the Wagyu ravioli and Brussels sprouts - the ravioli was good and flavorful, didn't love that it came in a chunky stew-like sauce, would've preferred a smooth sauce. The Brussels were way over cooked and hard to eat. My dinner partner got the night's special fish, and while he enjoyed it, he noted that it hadn't been seasoned or salted to be anything special.
