It brings me great disappointment to write this as the staff was seemingly very nice at first.
I had a reservation for two. However, due to unfortunate circumstances, only I could go. I showed up to the restuarant.
I clarified several things:
(1) i showed them the Google maps and asked if this is the right restuarant, Sushi robata which they said yes
(2) I discussed my situation and asked if there is a penalty fee to which they assured me no.
Coming home after eating my meal, I get an email from Tabelog getting BLINDSIDED by a 78 dollar cancellation fee that I did not show up.
The people were nice, however I am confused as to how they can tell me one thing, then do the opposite after meeting me.
