Just can't get service at the location on Hillcrest. Walk in, stand there for 10 minutes while the employee is over in the corner slicing meat. He sees me standing there. No other customers. Unfortunately the server just does not want to bother. I get that hiring is a real challenge right now, and if it continues your restaurant will lose money.

The girl helping me over the phone was oddly accusatory of a mistake she made on her part? I was changing from Pick-up to Delivery, well aware that there were going to be surcharges. But only after the cancellation of my order does she tell me that my reward for the sandwich is not transferable... then tries to hold me accountable for not wanting to follow through with the change in service and going on to tell me that the cancellation had to happen if I wanted to switch how I was getting my order? Yeah, I know that? But had she informed me BEFORE she cancelled my Pick-up order, I would have not wanted a Delivery service. How is that my fault? Weird.

So far, this location has been horrible. You never get your food within an hour - at least that's my experience. My order is right maybe 40% of the time, which is really bad. My kid has a tomato allergy and they just bypass the request of no tomatoes, making his food inedible. When you call the store to request an eta on delivery, your usually met with the monotone of what sounds like a kid that has nothing better to do. They take no initiative in getting you needed information. I'd like to say that their management is better, but it's really not. Hoping to one day have a great experience at this store. Probably won't, but I can dream.

I order tuna sandwiches regularly and the last couple times, my 16 inch sub is 12 inches of meat and 4 of bread only. I reached out to the corporate team who said a member of the local team would contact me, but that did not happen. I followed up, they told me the same and still no contact. I will not buy jimmy John's again This is just dumb. I shouldn't be so upset or spend so much time on a stupid sandwich.

HOLY BATMAN. It's not bad customer service - it borders on abusive. When I saw the bad reviews I thought to myself, "it can't be that bad. I'll just go in, get a sandwich and go." I'm pregnant, and exhausted and hungry. I saw someone mopping floor at 4:22 pm. Door was open - I asked her if they were open and she yelled at me in the most irritated voice, "of course we're not open!" I then said, "I see why the reviews are so bad. Goodbye forever." I then walked away. Chest heavy, anxiety triggered, and NEVER going back there again - and neither should you!!! JEEZ! Because of the stress I also lost my credit card. I called to speak to the manager and she said it was just a joke and repeatedly argued saying she did not yell at me. I hung up. No wonder other people here who complain aren't getting help - the management is the problem. Ugh.

Do not order from here. Delivery especially is like you are Charlie Brown and they are Lucy with the football: think it will be better this time? Aaaaargh. This time, bag the order was in looked like it had been shoved in a backpack and put in a dryer. Sandwich crushed, chips smashed. Of course the order was wrong -- you *will* have onions, like them or not, and you *will not* get the correct drink. Next time I'll make the better choice and just go hungry.

It is apparent that the corporate office does not listen to the complaints from the customers. The reoccurring theme seems to be slow service and/or bad service. I place my order for delivery at 11:30, the order tracker said it was received at 11:33 but by 12::11 the order tracker still said "order received" NOT "out for delivery". I called the store and the employee said that "the tracker is messed up because of the weather." Huh?it is a sunny temperate day. We had snow and ice last week, pick a different excuse this week. She "guaranteed" me that the order was out for delivery.The order finally arrived at 12:50. Which is will past my lunch break. I could have walked to their store and back twice in that amount of time! I only order from JJ when I am out of options. It appears I need to find another "go to".

Don't order from here terrible service. You call about your late order and the Hispanic guy puts you on hold every time . Got in my car to go and get my sandwich by this time it's been 45 minutes!!! Then you call the restaurant and the guy on the phone lies and says my order went out twenty minutes sgo!!! Then I get there and my sandwich hasn't gone out or even made terrible service , and don't call corporate because she made excuses for waiting for over an hour!!!! I have been a Jimmy John's supporter for a long time, but I was very disappointed in my experience today. Begin.Frugal.Rant. A Roast Beef slim is my go to sandwich from Jimmy John's. And for $4.50 including delivery it is heard to beat. However, when I went onto the website to order my sub today, the prices were raised from $4.50 to $5.75. That seems a little steep for a price raise. Because of the price increase, I opted for a more expensive sandwich which was only $2 more for more meat and cheese than my normal slim. When the delivery man came I handed him a $10 for my $7.75 meal and I thought he was reaching for change, but he started walking out of my office. I should have said something, which I regret not doing now, but he had already made it out the door before I even realized what was happening. I called the manager at Jimmy John's to inquire about the price change. He was very friendly and explained that the price increase was to become more competitive for the delivery drivers. The menu prices for the actual store have remained the same. My question then becomes, why tip? If the prices are already raised to compensate for the delivery drivers, then I should have paid him $7.75 exactly. Needless to say, I spent $10 on a sandwich today. I don't think I will be ordering Jimmy John's again because of the price increase. I can pack my lunch for a few days on what I spent. End.Frugal.Rant.

I ordered at 12:14pm and did not receive my sandwich until 2:50 pm. I reached out to the store multiple times and they just let me know that the delivery was en route. The offices at which I work are consistent customers but this is the second time we have had a 2+ hour wait for our sandwiches. I'm in love with the Club Lulu unwhich! Normally lettuce wraps have you a bit sad and missing bread, but the Club Lulu filling is so good you don't even care. They also do a great job of wrapping, and I've never had the sandwich fall apart. The salt n' vinegar chips are actually tangy too, and I love the giant pickles they have. Definitely a go-to lunch place for me!

My order showed up 1 hr and 15 minutes after ordering in the app. Not "freaky fast" whatsoever. I have to throw away the drink I ordered because all the ice was melted and the drink was only halfway filled up anyway. When I called the store to ask where my order was at the 1 hr mark the employee said, "oh he's en route but has 4 orders to deliver." Not ok... should not have taken over an hour to get to me. Also... the driver was NOT wearing a mask.... so my food has been around someone not wearing a mask during the pandemic?! Again, not ok.... I feel like I just wasted $13....

I hardly ever go to JJ's any more and my experience today sealed the deal. This location used to be fine but has gone way downhill. Today I ordered two sandwiches in person- one tuna for me and a veggie #6 for my daughter. The woman who took my order seemed a little confused: me: "I'll have a #6 veggie on French bread." her: "you know you can get different kinds of bread with your sandwich. You can choose the kind of bread." me: "yes and I'd like French bread for this sandwich.", etc. but she took my order. When I get the sandwiches out to the car the veggie was on French bread but was full of meat- I take it back in and politely say I ordered the veggie #6. The other woman who didn't take my order proceeded to argue with me that I'd told the one who took my order that I'd ordered the #1. I politely but firmly said no I was 100% sure I'd ordered #6 veggie since my kid is a vegetarian. We went through a couple of rounds of this but I eventually got the right sandwich. This place is great if you like being blamed and dealt with unprofessionally but I think Jersey Mike's will get our sandwich business.

Working at SMU, I (and many, many) colleagues have used this Jimmy's location many times. Once a week you'll hear someone say "I'm about to place an order with Jimmy... Anyone else wanna order too" down the hall. While the sandwiches are decent (nothing to write home about), I have had two very poor experiences with this particular location which will prevent me from ever ordering from this location again. I placed an order online (for a single sandwich) and within 20 or so minutes my order had arrived. The total was around $7 and I gave a $2 tip on my credit card for a total of $9 and change. The next day I check my account and there is a charge for $39.00!!!! (Yowza!!) from Jimmy! I immediately dispute the charge and warn colleagues to do the same. A month passes and I try to give Jimmy a second chance. I order online (12PM) and by 12:45 driver still hasn't arrived. I call the store and am told the driver is on his way. I have a meeting from 1-3 and tell the receptionist to be on the lookout for my order. When I get back at 3pm, my order still hasn't arrived. I call the store again, they apologize and say they will credit my order, and that they don't know where my sandwich went! The real kicker was that they didn't even OFFER to resend my order! What a terrible business practice! Keep an eye out on this store.

I don't know why but I Love Jimmy John's. I always order the same thing. 1. Turkey Tom with cucumbers. It's basically turkey, lettuce tomato, cucumbers and mayo on a roll. Simple but delicious. 2. BBQ chips. I don't know why but I think their chips taste amazing. Their spice mixture for BBQ is perfect for my taste. 3. Oatmeal cookie. Soft and full of raisins, it's the perfect combination of chewy, hearty and yummy. This location is easy to get to, has lots of parking, and is quick and efficient.

The service is horrible here. I ordered a turkey slim. The employee asked "and that's it?" and I said "yes, only turkey." When she was done, I said "I also want a number 5." The employee threw down the slim turkey sandwich and the knife and said very angrily "I asked you if that was it." I said "I thought you meant what to put on the turkey slim." She refused to make the other sandwich and ordered me to leave immediately. The place has been staffed with unprofessional people but I've just put up with the poor service. Stay away from this place unless you are willing to be talked down to and harassed while ordering a sandwich. I'm reporting this incident to the owner and JJ's corporate office.

If you're hungry NOW and looking for delivery, don't order from this Jimmy John's. Depending on how desparate you are for a Sandwhich or SPEED, look elsewhere. I ordered 2 sanwhiches at 8:40 according to my email receipt. I had to call them by 9:41 to ask where it was. I live under 1 minute away. There were excuses, but for an establishment that advertises as "Freaky Fast". It's proving to be a lie. I'm not quite sure what I expected as a response to my call when I called the manager, Sharon, an hour after my order but I expected some empathy, understanding, and pride in their product. Maybe, some feeling in her voice would've gone a long way, or a bag of chips or free drink. But long story short, I won't order unless Subway down the street is closed or I pick it up myself. And even then, there's a Pizza Hut next door.

This location is the WORST. I order from JJ at least once a week from different work locations because I am hungry and want the food quick. Unfortunately, the location that delivers to my house takes OVER AN HOUR to deliver for one sandwich. Its seriously quicker to order a pizza than it is to get Jimmy Johns delivered. They have never actually delivered freaky fast from this location and its super annoying when you order it only because you want it freaky fast. Maybe they need to stop riding bicycles and deliver another way, or let people know their food will arrive an hour later instead of the 10 minutes at other JJs.

The sandwiches are great and all (even thought they didn't put extra mayo like I requested) but don't get me wrong customer service is a determination on if I EVER come back and to this specific location... no. They ran out of French bread and the girl in the front was very rude. Her demeanor was terrible. She told a customer "...were not "allowed" to order French bread and had to wait 45 minutes" also showed no sympathy when apologizing. Ummm, not allowed? A ride choice of words. However, if you ordered For delivery, your order can be fulfilled. But in the restaurant, you had to wait. If I was the owner or employee, I would bake new bread as it is running low and not when it is COMPLETELY GONE. All the employees were polite though. Just that one ticked myself and I noticed other customers off too. Advice to management: put a nicer employee in the front!!! Thanks.

Stopped by this Jimmy John's location for lunch today. I ordered my usual -- a Turkey Tom and a drink. The cashier asked if I wanted "chips too?" and I said sure. I paid and reached for a cup, which she immediately informed me that I hadn't paid for a drink even though I had very clearly ordered one. Fine. I paid for a drink and waited for my sandwich. I know I distinctly said "Turkey Tom and a drink" but whatever. They called out a few sandwiches, and I saw the guy behind me in line grab his and head out the door, then another guy. There was a sandwich ready to go and I waited for the girl making sandwiches to look up so I could ask her where my sandwich was because I hadn't heard "Turkey Tom!" called out yet. [*Disclaimer* I'm not, nor ever have been, a Jimmy John's employee. I've ordered the same sandwich since day one and my knowledge of their menu lingo is VERY limited.] The girl pointed at the sandwich and babbled something I didn't understand. Umbridge? This was no time for a Harry Potter reference, I was starving! I told her no, I'd ordered a Turkey Tom. She looked at me like I had 5 heads, pointed at the sandwich, and mumbled "Umbridge". I had to get clarification here. She said it was wrapped in lettuce -- an "unwich". Uh...ok? They remade my sandwich at least but it was just a lot of hassle to go through for lunch. Apparently the employees here just aren't capable of getting it right (or even being pleasant). Won't be back.

This place honestly just sucks. Food takes forever and no one cares, the order is never right and if you try to do there 'freaky fast delivery', expect over an hour. If they mess up your sandwich and you mention it they fight you on remaking it. Definitely not somewhere you wanna eat, unless you just don't care about your order or time.

A reasonably priced lunch and sandwich place with plenty of options for a variety of preferences. All of their ingredients always seem fresh and the bread tastes wholesome and not full of preservatives. To me JJ's is a step up from Subway. Turkey Tom is my favorite--partly because it takes me back to my childhood--it feels like comfort food to me. It's a no frills sandwich on French bread. Always predictable always good no disappointments. Add the jalapeño chips. Not too spicy but just enough kick to go with the turkey Tom. This location is always really clean. The employees seem really happy to work there and are very polite. I also notice how there usually is a wide variety of employees in terms of age, race, and just general style. It's apparent whoever does the hiring values a diverse workplace. Service is quick and with a smile. Delivery is typically fast with all JJ locations but because deliveries are usually done on bike their delivery area can be limited. The only thing to watch out for is order add on's. They do not have a meal deal and drinks and chips can make your meal suddenly pricey. Cheese is .80 extra. For the bargain lovers take home a loaf of their day old bread for 50cents!

Very rude on the phone will not replace my incorrect sub unless I wait an absurd amount of time. Don't give them your business go to New York sub right down the street instead.

Had the urge to try something new today. I have this sub shop list to check out and JJ's was on it (firehouse subs is next). Anyways so I got a hour to burn, and it took me near 30 minutes to get there from PresbyHospDallas, which was bad, but it was mostly due to the horrible path I took there.. alot of residential streets (its really close to SMU , if not right across from it). Anyywwways. I finally get there (the area has like the really short and cramped parking spot areas), and get into the place.. it is a really tiny location. But the prices were dirt cheap which is awesome. It looked like I just beat a huge crowd to it , so it was starting to pile up by the time I got out around 12:30ish. 4.50 for a 8 inch sub, but I opted to go with a Italian mob #9 (I thought it was a sub, but turned out to be a sandwich which was ok, since it was a pretty big sandwich.. ) which I think was either a dollar or 2 more. So i'd definately go back (probably to a closest location to my home pad), the sandwich was unique, I hadn't had a tender grain bread be that memorable before. Their selection seemed decent, I kinda wished they had some more choices in terms of sauces you can put on, like they do at subway.. but meh ;)

I'm a big fan of Jimmy John's quickly made simple sandwich selections. What really makes this location stand out is the clientele. Come here for lunch on a nice, sunny afternoon and just marvel at the amount of hot, uppity SMU sorority girls that chow down on some foot-longs. The only thing bigger than their sunglasses are their attitudes, but that doesn't matter when all you want is a little show with your meal.

There's nothing more frustrating than a company bragging about how fast and custom you get their expensive sandwiches, and for them not to deliver on that. This was my experience, and it's not the first, second, or third time. The manager listened and offered store credit, but she missed the issue. I don't want credit towards your services. I want an explanation, and an offer to bring me another. The manager explained all drivers were out dropping off orders so that wasn't an option in her mind. Lu Lu for lunch! Serious fast delivery! This has become my go-to place for rapid delivery. I am a hairstylist , and rarely have time to run out and grab some lunch. Jimmy johns never fails me. Their sandwiches are always fresh. Not sure what they put in their bread, but it is addictive. The ingredients are always extra tasty! When you order, the staff are quick and efficient, and the delivery persons are always friendly and smiling. So if you are short on time and need a freshly prepared sandwich, choose this place. You will not be disappointed.

For those of you who prefer Subway, OMG, what is going on? I don't normally review chain restaurants, but I had to get the word out on the street that Jimmie John's has great sandwiches after a group of my coworkers told me they had never heard of Jimmie John's . In my mind, this place blows away subways, potbelly and Jason's (for sandwiches, at least). I am sure that there is a component of nostalgia that makes me love this place. The last time I was a regular at JJs was in Ann Arbor. MI during my good ole college days way way long ago. pause. *sigh* of nostalgia. If you're from Philly, you know that a good sub starts with the bread. Not just fresh bread, but perfect bread -crispy crusty on the outside, flavorful on the inside, perfect crust to bread ratio. Nothing will ever beat Amoroso's bread, but Jimmie John's comes pretty darn close to almost matching it. I usually get the equivalent to an Italian sub. They give you a good amount of meat and the perfect mix of veggies. This is a great place for subs despite the fact that is it is a "chain."

The only reason I am giving them two stars is the food wasn't bad, but the delivery was awful both times I ordered. I am at a conference and ordered an hour ahead of time to make sure the food was here by our break. The break was almost over by the time the food got here. This location is 0.3 miles from the hotel!! I could have probably walked there and gotten it before the delivery made it here. I won't make that mistake again. Oh and there was only one napkin and no straw for my drink. #fail

So torn.... 4 or 5 stars? idk..... Its a chain, 4 stars, its really good, 5 stars. Its Freaky fast, 5 stars, its a chain 4 stars. I eat here all the time, 5 stars. I'm getting really fat, 4 stars. 1st time I had JJ's I wasn't impressed. 2nd and 3rd times I started to warm up to it. By the 5th time I had JJ's I was hooked for life. I have the menu memorized, I have the store locations (just about all of them for DFW) stored like GPS locations in my head. I know how to order the #5 Vito so that its just like the #9 Italian Night club w/o the up charge. I know that some places charge for spicy peppers and have cheaper cookies, but other places have free spicy peppers and more expensive cookies. One or the other but not both free peppers and cheaper cookies. The vegetarian is even good, and I'm a meat eater! Try it on the 7 grain bread. But mostly stick to the French bread, I love how the end of the french bread is crispy crunchy. I'm currently hooked on the #16 Club Lulu +peppers.

This place has decent subs, not quite as good as Jersey Mikes. Service is fast. Conveniently located across the street from SMU so it makes for a quick and cheap lunch. Last time I was here I got turkey and asked for mustard, no mayo. For reasons that I do understand other than the complete failure of our high schools, I got no mayo and no mustard until the very last bite, so the sandwich was rather dry. I did not think that the application of mustard was challenging, but then again I have never worked at a sandwich place so perhaps I am wrong.

Awful customer service. It's been 70 minutes since i ordered a Slim 6 (cheese sandwich) and it is still not here. We ordered online and i missed a phone call from the store about 10 minutes after i placed the order letting me know that they were experiencing a 45-50 minute delay. I called back and she rudely informed me that they hadn't started making the sandwich since they weren't sure that i would want it due to the delay. So - the delay began THEN - not when i ordered online. They never apologized. For a business that runs on the tag line - subs so fast you'll freak - this is unacceptable. By the way - i ordered at 1:48 so it wasn't even during the rush lunch hour (11-1). It's now 3:03 - still no sandwich.

The first time I tried JJs, I was totally unimpressed. The second time I tried JJs, I wanted to quit school and run away with my sandwich to a deserted island where we can lie under a hammock and get to know each other...Well..maybe not, but it was damn good! I recommend the #14 Bootlegger which is roast beef and turkey. Its so good that I have been back at least a dozen times and could not get myself to order anything else! And for $5.50 a sandwich, it is a bargain lunch or dinner!

The radio advertisements are no joke--Jimmy John's is FAST! I order online and the sandwiches are usually made and delivered in 10-15 minutes. Definitely check out their vegetarian sandwiches. So good.

I ordered a sandwich today at 2:51 and didn't receive it until 3:46, almost a full hour later. I can get a sub sandwich anywhere. I order from Jimmy John's when I need a sandwich fast. I called the store after 45 minutes and was told that they only had one delivery driver working. Hello...your entire business model is "freaky fast". Whoever is scheduling and managing this store is doing a terrible job.

Always make good sandwiches, but their delivery is terrible. I live within 2 miles of the location and have on multiple times been left waiting for an hour plus. Would recommend adding additional drivers since it is right next to a college.

I'd give this location zero stars if I could. We order from there multiple times a week and consistently have problems with their delivery - it takes over an hour, they never show up and claim we didn't answer the door, the order is wrong, etc. Order # 236767461 never showed up. Driver called from the front porch never once ringing the door bell. Called the store and manager Brandy Groce told me it was my fault for not answering the phone. She was rude and disrespectful over the phone, and in person when I went in for my refund she continued to blame me for their crappy service going so far as to tell me I'm a terrible person after I told her she wasn't any good at her job of customer service. I will not be ordering from Jimmy John's again after that interaction because that location is the only one that serves my location. I would no sooner support a business that hires an employee like Brandy than I would hire her to run one of my own. Jimmy Johns is trash. From their corporate leadership to their cut rate employees who have no real incentive to give a crap about the business that employs them.
