The 20 Best Bars In Bangkok - Bangkok - The Infatuation

"Honey and alcohol have been best buddies for around 30,000 years—a.k.a. when they discovered mead—and this bar is serious about the ingredient. Asia Today works closely with gatherers from different parts of Thailand to incorporate wild honey into their cocktails. If you’re worried about the drinks being too sweet, don’t be—they always nail the right balance, and it feels like the team is pushing the limits of how different honey cocktails can be. The Eastern Honey, made with stuff from the bee of the same name, also uses gin, sesame, lime, and then gets topped with wild honey foam, and served in a beeswax mug (please don’t bite the beeswax mug). For a nightcap, their Irish coffee uses coffee blossom honey from Chiang Rai, and it’s as good as it sounds." - vichayuth chantan

Bangkok Bars Showcase the Thai Craft Liquor Scene

"A neighborhood bar owned by Niks Anuman that illustrates Thailand’s agricultural abundance in cocktail form — for example, bartenders crack open fresh coconuts and pour in rum distilled from sugarcane juice only days earlier to create a vividly fresh, terroir-driven drink that celebrates local ingredients." - Clara Wang

Super cool bar / speakeasy in Chinatown. The manager, Oolong, is really friendly and made me feel welcome immediately. The bartenders, Dream and Tea, are absolute magicians! The cocktails, music, and vibe are great. Highly recommend stopping by if you can.

We had four drinks in total and bought some honey. It was an interesting experience to taste some of the rare honey harvested in Thailand. The staff are young yet professional. A lovely place, not too noisy and with good vibes.

Legit fancy (but not over priced) bar! Went there with some friends but would go there solo as well… bartender Oolong (like the tea) was very pleasant, attentive to clients, and knowledgeable bar tender. Had 3 cocktails myself… and they were all amazing… only one I remember was the first one with honey in a wax cup as I remember her telling us not to eat the wax/cup. ;P Also tried few other bars in the area, they all solid but this o e was my favorite based on bar tender and drinks… Note it is a small place, but the turnover is quick so if they are packed “go next door” then come back…. or not… Really enjoyed the music… turns out owner is a DJ but that is a story for another day….

Asia Today is hands-down one of the coolest bars I’ve been to in Bangkok. Tucked away in Chinatown, it has this moody, intimate vibe that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled into a secret. But the real magic? The drinks. I came specifically to try the Apis Dorsata cocktail, and it did not disappoint. Made with wild honey from the giant rock bee of Thailand, it’s served in a beeswax mug (yes, really!) and topped with wild honey foam. The flavor was unreal—earthy, floral, slightly nutty, and perfectly balanced. Not overly sweet, just super complex and smooth. You can tell they take their ingredients seriously. The bartenders were super friendly and clearly passionate about what they do. They walked me through the story behind the honey and how they work with local gatherers. It felt like more than just a drink—it was a whole experience. If you’re into cocktails that push boundaries and tell a story, Asia Today is a must. The Apis Dorsata alone is worth the visit.

A standout Bangkok bar focused on local honey, featuring fresh, spirit-forward cocktails infused with Thai spices and served in creative ways like beeswax cups. The passionate bartenders craft complex drinks using house-made syrups and highlight unique regional honey flavors. If we challenged them for something off-menu, they offered creations which were spirit-forward, complex, and overall very enjoyable. Definitely one of our top recommendations in the city.

Okay, so this is a review of a cocktail bar from a guy who's currently not drinking alcohol, so take this all with a pinch of salt - and a dash of bitters. Hot take, but I think most mocktails are basically the cocktails they're copying but like, 20% less good. That's certainly not the case here. Located in hip Soi Nana of Bangkok's Chinatown, it's a tight but slickly appointed space that takes it up a couple of notches from the bohemian vibe of neighbouring hotspots. Despite the massive fiberglass shark hanging from the ceiling, the mixology concept is based on honey, with each page of the drinks menu featuring cocktails made with different types of wild honey, all locally sourced in Thailand. And for those who are current enjoying Boozy Bangkok from the somewhat limited comfort of the wagon (c'est moi) there's also a page with non-alcoholic cocktails made from a varied selection of those honeys. Of the 6-7 mocktail / cocktails on offer, we tried 3 of them. And it's absolutely no hyperbole to say that each one of them absolutely knocked our socks off. Blew our ears back. Punched us right in our faces and came back for more. Tart, sweet, crisp, smooth - all amped up to 11. In general, Bangkok is becoming much for accessible for the non-drinkers among us, from zero alc beers in bars and restaurants, to the slowly expanding mocktail sections in mixology drinks lists. FOr my mileage, the nicer places do better than the hole in the walls, but it's looking up, hang-over free. But Asia Today is leading the pack by a mile. Also, there seems to be a friendly rivalry with other top hipster bar Teens of Thailand, but I guess they're cousin bars? In any case, both have certainly done their part to put the Bangkok Mixology Scene - and Soi Nana in particular - on the map. Finally, for the drinkers - the rest of the drinks looked amazing. And for any bees reading this, they sell the honey too.

bar based on different types of honey. We loved the drink offered by the bartender. Excellent ! Try if you like cocktails on the sweeter side. But definitely worth it.

As the sign says. Better than teens of Thailand, but so is Applebees A bar based on honey. 🍯. It’s absolutely great. I tried like 4 drinks. All top notch. I bought honey to take home as well. Don’t 🐝 silly and visit this bar!
