High Horse Bar

We are in town for a conference and wanted to hit up a good dive bar and found this place. The pictures you see from other visitors, some are old because this place recently moved. It seems to have lost some of its original luster in that change.

One of my new favorite bars in Louisville. The drinks are amazing and it's not over priced. We had a great time drinking and dancing. Also they have a pop up kitchen space that serves great food. I wi definitely have to add this place to my repeat places.

If you want that old school dive bar feel; the one where you feel you can stay all day and meeting interesting people, spend 2 hours looking at all the weird stuff on the walls that’s been collected over the years, and sit in 6 different areas with 6 different vibes then High Horse is for you. Good cheap beer at a place that’s great. Deceptively huge too since it just keeps going back and back and back. Bring a party with you! Plus check out the beer list board in the picture! You can’t go wrong at a bar with it looking like that. It’s just the best.

Located a little bit off the usual bourbon walk and restaurants in Louisville, we headed to High Horse to finish the evening and attempt to secure the "Soused" badge after already doing some liver damage tonight. This is definitely a Dive Bar and it wears its label proudly. The scarred tables and slightly grubby floor add to the charm. That said, the men's room was clean. This was a fun time and while it wasn't busy on a Monday evening, the service was good and the few other patrons were similarly laid back. We had a round of drinks, did our check in and boom! Soused!

Love this place. Love the staff, and the few regulars I've met have all been wonderful. The atmosphere can change throughout the night. But the vibe is great. I've been on karaoke nights, and it's always a blast There are so many talented singers. Can't wait to go back.

This was a fun and laid back bar, I went for Halloween weekend and the lemon drops I ordered were delicious!!!! All of the staff and security guards were very kind especially considering how busy it was last night. I appreciated the metal detector and purse searches, made me feel safe on a spooky night. 👻💀☠️
