Phoenix’s Essential Seafood Restaurants

"The family-owned Lure Fish House has a handful of locations in California, with Scottsdale as their only one outside of the state. Prices are reasonable but everything wanted from a seafood restaurant is here, from seafood towers to a raw bar with numerous entrees and to additional menu items like skewers of miso-glazed sea bass or Salt Spring mussels basquiase. Try the sand dabs, which are more common in Cali but are difficult to find in Phoenix; the spicy Ora King Salmon burger is topped with a jalapeño slaw makes for a tasty twist on a classic." - Asonta Benetti

Lure Fish House never disappoints! The food, atmosphere, and service are all top-notch. The Sea Bass was absolutely phenomenal — perfectly cooked, buttery, and flaky with incredible flavor in every bite. The Flounder was another standout — light, fresh, and seasoned just right, with a beautiful golden crust. Everything tasted so fresh, and you can really tell they use high-quality ingredients. The sides complemented the seafood perfectly, and the staff was attentive and friendly, making the whole dining experience even better. If you’re a seafood lover, Lure Fish House is a must-visit — their Sea Bass and Flounder alone are worth the trip!

Google
Absolutely the best seafood we've had in years and at a reasonable price. JoEllen was very attentive and friendly. The fish and chips was a generous 3 filets and the batter just right. The calamari is the best we've had in 10 years, perfectly cooked and tasted so good I used very little of the sauce (even though the sauces were very good) The Grilled Rockfish Tacos were just heavenly. Coming back next week!

Loved the seating areas & very beautiful space. The hot sourdough rolls with butter are good enough to get my back. Fish & chips were tasty & the salmon fillet was perfect. One small gripe about the seasonal cheesecake, it is a Basque style cheesecake, which had I known I would not have ordered. It was the seasonal pumpkin one so it was fine just not a traditional cheesecake, which I think most people would be expecting.

First time at Lure Fish House. We wanted to try the happy hour. We weren’t aware you have to sit in the bar for it so we ended up switching tables. The sourdough rolls they bring are great. The bacon cheddar biscuits we ordered were strange. The bacon flavor is great but the burnt flavor on the bottom of the buns made them off putting. The tuna ponzu with taro chips was great and the crab cakes had good flavor. The old fashioned was spot on. After trying the happy hour menu we would like to try the larger menu.

Google
Amazing happy hour on a Saturday! Service was top notch. We will definitely visit again! We had 1/2 dz raw oysters, cup of NE clam chowder, 6 Basil Clams in White wine & butter. 4 adult Bevs. Total bill $75 before tip.I asked the bartender to surprise me with an oyster shooter, Bloody Mary style, she nailed it, so delicious & mini/ cute!!

Google
Great happy hour. Fresh assortments of oysters and great cocktails. Absolutely love the vibe. All the food was fantastic. Wasn’t crazy about the mussels. Had a funky after taste.

Google
Great choices of fish including fish and chips. A bit noisy though Music volume just right. Servers are pleasant though may appear rushed on a busy night. The sea bass skewers were excellent. Crab cakes were great too. Some Nice cocktails and yet Oyster bar choices are plenty. We will visit again.

We were running late for our reservation at Lure Fish House in Scottsdale, and the staff could not have been more accommodating. There were no issues at all, which set a great tone for the evening. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and lively without being loud. It is an ideal spot for a nice night out with friends or a casual date. Our waitress was friendly and attentive for most of the meal, although she never asked about dessert, which was a small miss after such a great experience. The fresh sourdough bread they bring to the table is excellent, warm, crusty, and absolutely delicious. We started with a dozen oysters, including Kumamotos and Blue Points. They were some of the best we have ever had, large, ice cold, and perfectly fresh with all the right accompaniments. The crispy calamari was another standout, light, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The fried jalapeños added a fun, spicy twist, and while the chipotle aioli and roasted tomato sauce were delicious, the calamari was so good it did not need them. The Caesar salad was fresh and classic, although it oddly came with only one crouton. The New England clam chowder was the highlight of the night and truly the best we have ever had. It was rich, full of tender clams, and packed with developed flavor. For entrées, the sea bass was hot, flaky, and perfectly seasoned, although there was one spice I personally did not enjoy. The Lure cioppino was generous with seafood and served in a flavorful broth with toasted bread for dipping. The Parmesan potato cake was crave worthy with a crispy golden crust and the addition of red bell pepper gave it a wonderful flavor. Overall, Lure Fish House serves exceptionally fresh seafood in a relaxed coastal setting. Even with a few small service misses, it is an easy recommendation for anyone looking for a delicious meal in Scottsdale.

Yelp
Stopped in today for lunch while running some errands in the neighborhood, and as always, Lure Fish House did not disappoint! I first fell in love with Lure about 15 years ago while in Santa Barbara with my late husband, so was super excited when they finally opened an outpost here in the desert. Now, if we can just convince them to open their second Valley location on the west side of town (Goodyear or Peoria!). My mom and I took advantage of their happy hour and feasted on 2 orders of their incredible charbroiled oysters and their crab cakes. Mom loves their veracruz fish chowder, so she had a cup of that and I rounded out my lunch with one of their rockfish tacos. Previously, we've enjoyed their sand dabs, linguine with clams and the cioppino. Our server Soyla was super sweet and helpful, and Robert, the manager, stopped by for a great chat too. It's a nicely decorated, comfy space with good people and delicious seafood. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
As a Ventura county native I am sooooo disappointed with this location. It is a sad shell of what Lure is and should be. The quality has gone to the toilet at the Scottsdale location. The sand dabs were so over salty, the bread was hard etc etc....and on top of that the service was not enough to compensate. Not sure if corporate needs to take a peek here in AZ but I sure won't be going back nor would I recommend anyone else do so.

Yelp
Second visit for us. Disappointing experience. Kitchen QA lacking and meals were not up to par. Two of us had the Halibut special. Fish was tough, over cooked and lacked flavor. For $45 portion size was small. We both had soup and cole slaw as sides. Soup was a 50/50 mix of clam chowder and a vegetable soup. Would not order again. Wifey had the shrimp with cole slaw and spinach. Shrimp were split in half and grilled in their shell. Meal did not look appetizing. The shrimp were overcooked so much they were hard to get out of their shell. Would not recommend this dish. Fourth grade in our group had Fish and Chips with a side salad. Portion size was good and nicely prepared. Guessing this was an off night in the kitchen. The ambiance of the place is superb. Server was friendly and attentive.

Yelp
I came here by invitation from a trusty Yelp friend on Valentine's Day of 2025. I know, it's been months, but I clearly remember my first visit to Lure Fish House in Scottsdale was great! Our food was fresh and tasty. I ordered the Sea Bass and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. No complaints on the food here, or the cocktails. The steak was pretty juicy and it was devoured as well. The Charbroiled Oysters were the star of the show! We ate them so fast, we practically inhaled them! The service was superb and the ambiance is casual and relaxed. I plan to return again one day in the near future. =) bon appétit!

Yelp
Everything here is amazing, I've gone here several times and each time it hits. When you come here you HAVE to get the charbroiled oysters they are 12/10, a MUST. I'm also a big pasta girly so I usually get their tequila lime pasta which is so good. Their clam pasta is also really good, it's a white wine based sauce pasta. You can also get the cioppino with linguine. I knew some former servers there and they say everything else they have is way better than the pasta, and that's true. Their spicy salmon burger is amazing, a nice thick cut of salmon with a great sauce. The ahi tuna is also really good and of course their appetizers like the crab cakes and tacos are super good. I recommend coming during happy hour for the appetizers, you just get a much better deal. Their drinks are also amazing so don't miss out on those. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and even a big private room for larger parties. This place is always poppin when I go (weekends or evenings). All the seating is nice, clean and up to standard. Inside is beach/harbor themed, a very cute vibe executed in a classy fashion. All the staff are always super nice and friendly, and I've never had to wait long for my food. I love going here for a nice fancy date. Love this place!

Yelp
I sat outdoors for dinner here on a weeknight. I was able to be seated immediately without a reservation. They had all the heaters on outside and the lighting was "romantic". The food service was fast and the waiters were friendly without being overbearing. I loved the trout coated in almond and wish I was a local so I could try out more of their seafood dishes.

Yelp
Lure Fish House is such a great spot. The food was incredible and the prices were very reasonable for the quality. We started with the house salad, which was fresh, crisp, and the perfect way to kick off the meal. The rolls and butter were so good we could have easily made a meal out of them. The New England clam chowder was one of our absolute favorites--creamy, flavorful, and packed with clams. The Hamachi Crudo was incredibly fresh and just melted in your mouth. The drinks were just as impressive, super refreshing and perfectly balanced. You can tell they really care about their cocktails here. For dessert, we shared the blueberry cobbler, which was warm, sweet, and absolutely delicious. Overall, everything from the food to the service was top-notch. We'll definitely be back, especially for that chowder, cobbler, and another round of those amazing drinks.

Yelp
08-09-2025 // I'd still rate Lure Fish House . Brooklyn waited on us and she was awesome. Food was amazing, as always. I particularly loved the charbroiled oysters. The Seafood Mixed Grille was the entree I chose and in hindsight, I wish I had opted for the seared albacore tuna again. Always a pleasant experience with amazing ambience and atmosphere.

Yelp
I can't believe I've never known about Lure. Drive by and saw the sign. Turned around and we went in!! The hostess wasn't that friendly... but once we were seated.... Our experience changed. Greeted by Miranda. Absolutely incredible server. Told her it was our first visit. She explained the menu and brought us bread. Which was so delicious. Started with the baked oysters. OMG. Husband got the crab cake appetizer and added one more. I got the sand dabs and it comes with 2 sides. Parmesan potato cake and the pineapple coleslaw. Had to take most of my lunch home. Too much bread! ( no regrets) I can't wait to return!

Yelp
1st time here for Restaurant Week on a Saturday night. It was already busy but always a great sign! Cute decor. Sat near the kitchen where all the action is. Great server in Xavier, who was simultaneously tending to a private party, in addition to us. Service was friendly, helpful with suggestions and prompt. I would definitely return to try their happy hour menu. Everything I ate here I really enjoyed, from the clam chowder, to the halibut & lastly their sweet pumpkin cheesecake. Great location also with all the right stuff. No stuffy parking, easy to find, good food.

Yelp
My friends and I had a wonderful dinner celebrating the holiday season at Lure! We had the private dinning room for a group of 10. There was no minimum spending requirement which was a great bonus. And the room was beautiful! Every one had a wonderful meal of their choices. Our server, Mauricio, was fantastic! He was very accommodating, attentive and helpful. Every one praised Lure Fish House as a perfect venue for group as well as individual dinning. Thank you for doing such a great job!

Yelp
A very pleasant restaurant for respectable seafood. Not terribly noisy and service was good. Came with a party of 5 everyone enjoyed their meals.

Yelp
Came here with my mom to grab lunch. We had two glasses of white wine, oysters on the half shell ( I prefer the ones from the north east, they're much sweeter than pacific oysters) they were fresh and clean tasting. (Definitely recommend the oysters if you're a fan) And a cup of clam chowder, which was creamy and delicious. The place is nicely decorated, clean and quiet enough to have a conversation. The service was exceptional, the waiter was juggling so much between us and the oyster bar but he was kind, professional and attentive. Thank you for a special Mother daughter lunch

Yelp
Soyla at the bar, was a the best. She always remembers our wine, she greets us like family and always makes us feel welcomed. Thank you for employing pure excellence!

Yelp
Was craving Oysters and I am so happy I came here! Wes was a great server, giving recommendations and being very attentive. He recommended the sticky toffee pudding and so do I as a dessert. We came on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't very busy. Not noisy but not so quiet you would feel awkward having a conversation. The oysters were fresh and had a sort or buttery taste to it. Definitely will be coming back when an oyster craving hits. Loved the crab cakes!!!! 10/10!

Yelp
Visited on a Sunday during happy hour, and what a great experience it was! The service was outstanding, and the food was equally impressive. Shelby was hands down one of the best waitresses we've ever had -- attentive, friendly, and made our happy hour that much better. We always choose the small outdoor side patio--it does the job perfectly, offering a cozy spot to enjoy the experience. Don't miss the oysters and calamari -- both are absolutely delicious and a must during happy hour. We'll definitely be back for more! Highly recommend stopping by and asking for Shelby if you can. Yelp
Hhhmmm this is a hard review for me. Have come here a few times and it was delicious so I decided to choose this as the restaurant to celebrate my birthday. Large party so we were seated in a private room which was awesome! Unfortunately, that was the highlight of my birthday celebration. Service was mediocre and the server was lost for long periods of time. When it was time to place our order, my wife made sure to modify her meal and specify numerous times that she is allergic to raw onions. The server seemed to understand it but just in case, I made sure to reiterate, no raw onions anywhere near my wife's plate. We all got our food and started eating when I saw my wife start coughing. She said it was nothing, just a tickle in her throat. She took another bite of her food and quickly realized it wasn't a tickle in her throat, it was onions in her food. We quickly flagged down the server and asked if there was onions in her meal. She went and checked with the kitchen and was told yes. My wife was having an allergic reaction and her throat and face were turning red. The server went and told the manager who food his time coming to the table because he was "busy prepping in the back". We explained the situation he went to get an epi pen... unfortunately it was expired and my wife didn't want to chance it. He apologized as I took my wife out of the restaurant to get her much needed medicine. She had a rough go of it for 2 days and ultimately got back to feeling better. Best part of this and why I gave 1 star... she received a call from the corporate office a few days later and they completely dismissed the whole thing. They didn't care that she was sick for 2 days following the incident and repeatedly told her that her meal doesn't have onions in it so they don't understand why she had a reaction. Whoa, not the reaction I was expecting after a ruined birthday meal.

Yelp
Lure Fish House has a wide variety of seafood options on their menu to fulfill all your cravings! We had a reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival. Nice ambiance and great for both casual and slightly upscale vibes. YUZU SOY SHISHITO PEPPERS: The perfect light appetizer as I was dying for some veggies on our trip. The sriracha aioli went well as a dipping sauce. NEW ENGLAND CLAM CHOWDER: Decent amount of clams and the perfect creaminess and consistency! SALLY'S SAND DABS (W/ PINEAPPLE COLESLAW & MAPLE MISO BRUSSELS SPROUTS): Was looking for a light fish entree and I'd say this one matched that to a tee; simple but still tasty. I chose the pineapple coleslaw and maple miso brussels as my sides and they both served well to add more depth of flavor to my entree. We admittedly had a very large group which I'm sure makes things more difficult, but it didn't seem like they kept track at all of which seat/table ordered which dish. For every single dish that came out, there was some confusion, as they would bring it to a seemingly random table, and we would have to yell between tables to figure out who ordered it. Overall, decent food although I do think it's a bit overpriced even for seafood. Staff was friendly although there were some hiccups in service; not sure if it was an off day or there just needs to be additional training on how to keep track of orders.

Yelp
Found a winner here for our seafood cravings. We're in the Scottsdale area frequently and this place will see more of us. My wife had cod tacos and I was a benefactor of one of her tacos; very good. I had a fried fish plate , also delicious. We ordered some NE style clam chowder; I've had none better than here; the best ever. Waitress was very attentive and kept us in drinks, bread, etc. Good vibes in this place, nice place to visit.

Yelp
Brought my son here as he wanted to experience good seafood and expand his fish knowledge. We started with charbroiled oysters and Mike ordered Sand Dabs for his entree. He loved it all. I had Sea Bass and hubby had Rock Fish. We will be back next time we are in town!

Yelp
Lure Fish House - let's just say it's fantastic, fresh, and sooo good! Everything here is made fresh and to order, and you can taste the quality in every bite. We enjoyed the watermelon cucumber red onion & feta cheese salad - so refreshing and full of flavor - and ended with the most delicious blueberry cobbler that was the perfect sweet finish. If you're looking for a place with fresh, clean, and flavorful food, this is the spot for you!

Yelp
Service was incredible with Oscar! He was running all over the place like a boss! He was fast and friendly! Celebrating my daughter's bday- he gave us an ice cream sundae. The fish tacos and shrimp tacos were great and flavorful. Appreciated that they were full size at happy hr and not tiny. We got the biscuits and I thought they were just ok. The sourdough bread for the table was a 10 out of 10. We will be back!

Yelp
My fiancée brought me here for my birthday last night and it was fantastic. We sat outside, which was really nice and we started with drinks and an appetizer. We got the calamari (delicious) and I had a peach/raspberry spritz, which was so good, I'd definitely get it again. The also started us with complimentary bread which was warm and soft on the inside and had a nice crunch on the outside. For dinner, my fiancée got the lobster ravioli and I had the mixed seafood grill with the Parmesan potato cake and almond pesto cauliflower on the side (pictured). The service was great and they even gave me some ice cream for my birthday for dessert! My favorites were the bread, the Spritz, the rock fish, the giant prawns, the potato cake and the cauliflower (too many to choose from haha). Anyways, I loved it here and would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Lovely service, menu and food! Recommend the small (not so small) plates, 4 between 2 people is plenty with a side. Apologies for the lack of photos, must have been ravenous! Thanks!

Yelp
We made our first, but certainly NOT the last, visit to Lure Fish House on Friday evening before the Jo Dee Messina concert. We had 6:00 reservations and were seated promptly. Taylor was our server and she did an excellent job. She greeted us warmly and asked if we'd been to Lure before. She then explained the menus to us, asked if wanted water, then gave us time to look at the menu as she got us our water and a basket of delicious sourdough rolls. We were ready when she returned and place our dinner order. I had a refreshing mojito and the branzino, something I had been dying to try as Chef Ramsey cooks it often. My sides were the potato cake and sautéed spinach. My husband had the fish and chips with the pineapple coleslaw and Lure fries. Our meals came out amazingly fast and were delightful. The Branzino as sweet and flaky as I'd heard. My husband loved his meal as well and is a new fan of pineapple in coleslaw. As we were finished with our mains by 6:30, we decided to share a dessert. We opted for the seasonal cheesecake which was a Basque pumpkin cheese cake (yet another thing from my foodie bucket list). It too was delicious. We can't wait to go back and try some of the sharable plates.

Yelp
We had another great meal at Lure Fish House - this time we did lunch. Sourdough rolls were brought out and the rolls were delicious and warm - the perfect start to the meal. My husband and I chose two different options and ended up sharing so we could try both. I ordered the chipotle shrimp tacos which came with 2 tacos each filled with 3 giant shrimp, smashed avocado, slaw, pico de gallo, and a cilantro crema. For my side, I chose the cilantro corn salad and while I like cilantro, it was a bit too much for me. My husband ordered the spicy salmon burger with the brussel sprouts as a side. The name is a little misleading - it's a piece of salmon, not a burger. It's also described as spicy due to the slaw, but I tasted no spice at all. The brussel sprouts are delicious - slightly sweet and perfectly roasted. My dad ordered the clams and mussels and I got to try one of each - both were really fresh. I preferred the mussels because the broth was flavored with chorizo and gave the mussels so much savory flavor. We all shared two desserts - the key lime pie and sticky toffee pudding. The key lime pie could have a stronger like flavor and be a little more tart, but I understand that can be a little polarizing. The sticky toffee pudding was great - it was warm and not too dense and topped with vanilla ice cream and a rich toffee sauce. We will definitely be back - I recommend the shrimp tacos for lunch!!

Yelp
Honestly, I've been here a lot since my last review in 2023. Always consistent. My friend and I frequent the Happy Hour that has a great selection of foods and drinks. Service has always been good. We've had Oscar in the bar area, very friendly and attentive. The bar area is nice because it's big, spread out. When we come here for happy hour, I always feel I can sit back and relax and enjoy. The Oysters and Seafood Cevichi are my thing. My friend loves the New England Clam Chowder, Shrimp Cocktail and Shishitos. Last time we were there for dinner and we ordered the Mahi Mahi which was very good. Atmosphere: big interior, bright, great bar area. Service: very good. Food: very good.

Yelp
While I was parking the car, my wife encountered rudeness from the hostess. She was told "You're the first person on the reservation, do you want to stand here?" I quickly arrived and my wife (who was steaming by this point) and I were seated by the kitchen. My wife's appetizer (the wrong soup) arrived ten minutes before mine. My wife, multiple times, had to reach out to other waitresses to locate ours. The oysters were fabulous, as always. No matter how good the food might be at a restaurant, we never patronize places where the service is not on par. Possibly, we might give Lure another shot, or just give Buck & Rider all our business.
google avatar

Yelp
It's a lovely ambience and management but the food is overpriced for the flavor, unfortunately. But just my opinion: Everything tasted somewhat over seasoned and salty. There were broken pieces of shell throughout our seafood dishes that we needed to spit out. I expect some of that cause sometimes you can't always prevent that, but it was way more than an average restaurant. Especially a place that specializes in seafood. Crab cakes are better at other restaurants. I do appreciate that there was a decent amount of clams in the clam chowder! Minimal potatoes, the portioning was good. The servers were slow to fill water and bring out the food but might also be because our server just seemed really fatigued. Overall, there's not a dish I would come back here for but it's a lovely ambience for okay seafood dishes.

Yelp
We were so happy to see Soyla and Oscar ... some our favorites at this wonderful establishment. We also met Nate who did a FANTASTIC job on the charbroiled oysters ... if you haven't tried ... you ARE missing out. Thank you!!

Yelp
Stopped by Lure Fish House for dinner after having a craving for seafood. The calamari was great and the oysters tasted very fresh however, we did mix the oysters ( blue points with Bruce's beach house) and the wait staff never told us which oysters were which. I also ordered the tuna ponzu (not pictured in my review) and I was not a big fan. I wish the tuna ponzu was served with a different chip to dip as the chips were flavorless and thin and kept breaking. It was over sauced and the ratio of the mix ins with the tuna felt off. The person with me ordered the rockfish and loved it however they were not a fan of the sides that came with it.

Yelp
It is truly a tucked away gem hidden in the shops at Gainey Village. Chef Roberto and his team prepared an amazing dining experience for us. I was raving about it after my first visit. So much so, I brought my father in the following weekend. This Family Owned Restaurant offers- A very appealing property, Ambience, Customer Service, Locally Sourced Seafood, Organically Grown Local Produce, Wines from Local Vineyards and Cocktails made with freshly squeezed fruit juices. This was the first time I had ever tried charbroiled oysters. The flavor profile and the melted buttery goodness makes this one satisfying appetizers. We tried so many different appetizers, entrees as well as dessert. Each dish brought the flavor, the quality and the presentation. Be sure to book your next lunch or dinner @lurefishhouse_az 8877 N Scottsdale Rd. Ste. 402 Scottsdale AZ 85258

Yelp
My niece came to visit me and the first thing she asked for was seafood!! I found Lure fish house and immediately made a reservation. We arrived on time and were immediately seated. Our server came over quickly and offered to get us water while we chose our drinks. I love this! The whole experience was relaxed and we didn't feel rushed. We ordered drinks and she again, gave us time to pick appetizers. We selected the pop rock shrimp, shrimp cocktail, the mussels and oysters of course! The food came out piping hot and everything was delicious. The bread was warm and the butter was softened (a favorite thing of mine) our server was just amazing. She let us enjoy our apps before coming back to take our orders. I got the Sally's sand dabs. For the price it was a hefty portion! 3 pieces of fish and 2 sides. The lemon caper sauce was delicious and the fish was cooked perfectly. My sister ordered the swordfish and the filet was huge! My niece got the linguine and clams. The sauce was so lemony and light. We were stuffed! Most seafood places all the sides are al la carte and the portions can be tiny. We really got our monies worth. I would come back here time and time again. Great service, delicious food and reasonable prices. An upscale experience everyone can enjoy!

Yelp
Bartender was fantastic. The food was good, but it was repulsive to have a man sitting 5 seats away from us at the bar, distinct dirt, filth, and body odor in the restaurant. It was just so offputting. I can't understand why they would let this creature be in the restaurant every day. It's unfair to the other patron so paining full price. We couldn't even finish our food because it was so vile.

I was a little disappointed with dinner. Overall the place looks great but I think the pricing for what you get may be a little off. Mainly the mixed grill plate was almost $50 and really shouldn't have been. You get two super small scallops, three shrimp, two boiled oysters, and a tiny piece of rockfish. Their oysters are fresh but just not up to what I was expected for $40. Overall just wasn't my favorite. Doesn't mean it's not right for you, I was just expecting something a little higher quality with a little more professional service.

Yelp
I saw an instagram post that put Lure Fush House as one of the best seafood restaurants in Phoenix. My experience there did not disappoint. I was able to select oysters from four different sources. I love oysters and I had a dozen very tasty blue points. I was at Lure for lunch and I had the lobster roll with French fries. Very good. Plenty of lobster and the fries had a special house seasoning that was delicious. Our waitress was excellent checking on us several times and very knowledgeable about the menu. I also enjoyed the atmosphere bright and cheerful. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Walking in, I loved the interior design and ambiance of the restaurant! We had a reservation for a large party, so we were seated immediately after we arrived. - PARKING - Large lot so plenty of parking spaces! - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - As mentioned before, since we had a reservation there was no delay in getting seated. However, throughout our lunch, service seemed to be off and on. They were attentive initially when we first came in, but slowly came by less. Understandably we had a large party, but when servers came by with our food, they didn't know where to drop it off at. I think it could have been fixed if orders were kept to tables rather than bundling all the orders to the entire party. We also waited quite a while to be checked out, and some of us had an appointment so we had to leave part of the group early. - FOOD - Everything was delicious and fresh! We loved the oysters and shared plates we got. Miso Glazed Sea Bass Skewers - So good!! I loved the Miso Glaze, and the sea bass was so soft and buttery. Pop Rock Shrimp - So easy to keep eating, had to stop myself from taking it all! Sally's Sand Dabs - nicely cooked and flavored fish, and we loved the selection of sides we could choose from. - OVERALL - Great spot for a group lunch/dinner, but I do think their large party service could be fixed.

Yelp
First visit to Lure Fish House was a little disappointing. It was a beautiful day, so we sat outside on the patio. Our table rocked back and forth, so we moved to another table - problem solved! Our server came by and greeted us fairly quickly. We got our drinks and some appetizers ordered. They were busy so it took a bit longer than expected... and I didn't love the ceviche. It was just average. For my entree, I went with a grilled fish (but unfortunately do not remember which one). It was just ok. Normally, I'm pretty easy to please, but on this visit, nothing really was very good... and none of the food really stood out as being worth the drive or money. Maybe it was just an off-day, but I'm not craving a return visit. The good news is that there are quite a few gluten-free options available on the menu... and the servers will go ask the kitchen if they are unsure whether an item is gluten-free. Overall rating: ***THREE STARS*** Gluten-free rating: ****FOUR STARS****

Yelp
A group of eight of us went out for dinner here one evening and we ended up sitting on the patio! They are not prepared for big groups inside as they only have two larger tables inside. A few of the ladies we had the almondine trout. It was excellent! Also great for the oysters, etc. The cocktails were craft cocktails and they were quite yummy. One thing I would suggest not to order was their cheese type biscuits. They were burned and they tasted terrible. I have no idea what that was. Our server was fantastic. She waited on us handed foot. Highly recommend the place if you're looking for Seafood especially!

Yelp
July 2024. I've now been to every Lure Fish House. I had already been to all the locations in CA several times, including the newer one in Los Angeles at Porter Ranch area 3 times. Ambiance: always great. Lovely ocean themed decor. Service at each location is kinda slow and they usually need more wait staff. Food. Today we had clam chowder and it was perfect and had the most clams we've ever had at Lure. Yummy! Bread: the rolls were stale and hard like last nights heated up. Caesar salad. Perfect! Fantastic dressing and just the right amount do it was fully coated. Delicious! Kids meal. Shells and cheese, kids loved it. Fries. Perfect. Cups of milk. This was our light lunch and it was perfect for us. Just slow service and wait staff was helpful but rarely seen and probably too many tables to cover. I see this a lot at Lure.

Yelp
Yum! I had the swordfish with brussel sprouts and risotto. They gave you a hefty piece of swordfish, it was very juicy and meaty. I liked the tartar sauce with it. Simple seasonings which elevated the fish itself. The Brussel sprouts are $2 extra but are to die for. So so good. The risotto is also $2 extra but dang it was cheesy and so good, the olive oil elevated it too. The salmon - ordered by my sister - was outstanding. So buttery and melty in your mouth. There was a crisp crust that made it chef's kiss. My sister said the cilantro lime rice had a nice lime taste shining through and it was moist and very good rice. My dad had the rockfish and thought it was pretty good but would order the salmon or halibut next time. He wanted more sauce for the coleslaw, so if you like a saucey coleslaw maybe skip it. He said the potato pancake was also okay, he would order the risotto next time instead. My mom loved the swordfish. It was my parent's anniversary and you get a scoop of ice cream for free, the sundae was good but I would've expected a "better" dessert. We ordered the strawberry cheesecake because it isn't often you see gluten free cheesecake! Not the best we've ever had but it was good. Dense and good amount of sauce. The mint was a nice touch. We got seated in a a very nice booth. The service was good and fast. Nothing to complain about. We all agreed we would come back.

Yelp
My partner and I ate at Lure Fish House for the first time a couple weekends ago. The experience was very positive. We went on a Monday night around 7:30pm and it wasn't very busy so we were seated immediately. Our server was great. Very friendly and responsive. He also recognized my partners birthday which was nice. For food we started with the Crispy Calamari and the Veracruz Fish Chowder. Both were excellent. The calamari has bites of battered chiles and jalapeños which is a really nice touch. The fish chowder was actually the best bite of the entire meal. Seriously good! If we end up going back I would order a bowl of this for my entire meal. For mains we got the Sally's Sand Dabs and the Trout Almondine. Both were good, albeit safe dishes. Flavor-wise, no complaints; however neither dish was very memorable. In summary: Lure Fish House was overall positive and enjoyable experience and I would recommend this place if you're craving tasty seafood in an elevated environment.

Yelp
I have dined at Lure many times before and had a good experience. Last night was not.Starting at reception where I was greeted with "you are first person so you want to wait"delivered in monotone. My husband arrived and we were seated all the way in the back of the restaurant ,next to the kitchen. Our waitress was invisible most of the time and I had to get other waitstaff to find her.I ordered veracruz chowder ,they brought clam chowder, but quickly corrected it. I didn't like being seated in the back, but it should not matter where you sit,the service should be fine everywhere.

Yelp
Food is top notch and good value for money. Love the fresh catch menu and my husband is a big fan of their lobster roll. Clam chowder is also pretty solid. Good shared app is the sea bass skewers. Service is consistent and attentive - and most of the team know the menu really well. Ambiance is mixed. The space is attractive but it's insanely loud and hard to hear people at the table no matter where you sit in the dining room and the booths near the door are very drafty in the winter. Would love to see them find a solution for the noise level because we love this place but often avoid it based on inability to have a conversation.

Yelp
Gave Lure another try because we really want to have a great seafood restaurant to go to. It was so much better this time! So glad we have a great seafood place to go to when in the mood for seafood! Pros 1. Oysters were nice and fresh and we tried all 4 kinds 2. The charbroiled oysters were also very good if you want something buttery, cheesy and garlicky 3. My cioppino was very tasty. Wasn't like traditional cioppino that I have had in San Francisco. If I weren't trying to lose weight, I'd ask for linguini to go with it. Easily would make 2 meals although reheating seafood isn't always the greatest smelling 4. My husband's fish was cooked perfectly. Cons N/A
