Underground Pizza Baltimore

Underground Pizza, located in Baltimore, Maryland, is a great spot for deep dish pizza lovers. Our table ordered the pepperoni pizza and two of the 4-slice margherita options. I also tried the Caesar salad, which was fresh and flavorful. The first two pizzas came out fairly quickly—within about 10–12 minutes—but the third one took noticeably longer, arriving after roughly 25 minutes. Despite the delay, the food was worth the wait. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, with some really cool artwork decorating the space. Their beer selection was solid and reasonably priced, which added to the overall good vibes. All in all, it was a great experience. I’d definitely recommend Underground Pizza if you’re in the mood for quality deep dish pizza in Baltimore.

Best vegan pizza in the city. I had to slap my friends' hands away bc my pizza was better than their regular pizza. I have to stop myself from visiting weekly. I'm happily addicted to these pies...? Cakes?! Either way they're delicious. Go check this place out. This restaurant is best accessed by the circular (orange route I think). Paid parking is expensive. But, the cricular, city bus, and metro get you there, so if you pay for parking, it's your own fault. I think this would be a good place to go after the aquarium or port discovery woth kids, especially when the whether is nice, because of the ample outdoor seating.

Walking distance from Port discovery! We love their super high chair for the kids. The sampler is a nice dish to share, and the pizzas are all great! The crab one is amazing with sweet and spicy flavors, and the cheese steak is wonderful with heave cream cheese. If you go with two, one pizza would be totally enough. For four people and several kids, I would recommend one half&half mix, and some appetizers!

We came here for an early dinner on the weekend. The place has a nice outdoor area, but it wasn't open as it had just rained. The inside is small, but full of character. The menu has something for everyone who likes pizza and a few other good Italian dishes. Their chicken wings are also quite good. As it relates to their pizza, it is delicious. It is a very well done Detroit-style deep dish. They also have a large selection of vegan pizza options. Their large pizzas have eight slices, and the personal has four, both of which is more than enough for those who want to share - especially if you are ordering appetizers. They also have a fulsome drink menu. The service is friendly and attentive.

My family and I are in Baltimore for the weekend and we stopped at Underground Pizza Baltimore right after checking into our hotel. We loved the atmosphere. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The food was fantastic. We ordered the Fried Chicken Sliders with a side of French Fries. The Sliders were very good but those fries were magical. Why can't everyone make fries that good. We also ordered 2 half orders of the pizza. We ordered plain and pepperoni. The pizza is thick and soft in the middle but with the crunchy outside. I've never had Detroit Style pizza before but this was really good. Definitely pizza you want to eat while consuming adult beverages because it is the perfect pairing. For drinks we ordered Rootbeer and my kids got lemonade. They basically hand made the lemonade from mixes they had at the bar and the soda is Maine Root Soda which is fantastic. The dinner made the start to our trip fantastic and tough to beat. Thanks UPB!

Tried Underground Pizza for the first time and was genuinely impressed. I ordered the Pesto Pie and absolutely loved it fresh, flavorful, and perfectly baked. The crust had just the right amount of crunch, and the pesto was rich without being overpowering. The service was equally great friendly, fast, and attentive. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to. Highly recommend if you’re craving something bold and satisfying.

I tried Underground Pizza at Power Plant Live for the first time, and I’ve been coming back ever since! The whole atmosphere is so lively and fun — it’s truly one of the best spots in Baltimore to grab a bite and hang out. Their Detroit-style pizza is absolutely amazing perfectly crispy, cheesy, and full of flavor. The wings are fire too! And the staff Logan, Evans, Jackie, Charlie, Katie, and Lena are all so friendly and welcoming. They make every visit even better. Hands down, the best pizza in Baltimore. I’ll definitely be coming here forever! 🍕🔥

This place is right in the middle of the Harbor district, inside of Power Plant Live. There is a good amount of seating inside and outside. The staff were so quick and very attentive. We went on a very busy Saturday night and still got 10/10 service. It is very loud though. The music is at such a high volume, you are going to have to shout any conversation you try to have with your table mates. I really hate that at restaurants, I wasn't to enjoy my food and the company. The food though! Gluten free AND vegan pizza that tastes good??? I've hit the lotto! The crust is crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. It was cooked so well. The cheeze is melty and there is a generous amount (every vegan knows the struggle of getting upcharged for vegan cheese and then only getting like 10 shreds.) The vegan pizzas are a dollar or two more than the regular menu and there is a $4 I for the gluten free crust. Only the half size can be made gluten free, but the half size is a large portion of pizza. The vegan menu is extensive. There are several pizzas that can also be made gluten free and they are clearly marked on the menu, so there is no guessing or having to play 20 questions with the staff. They have dairy free ice cream! I did not order it this time but will have to try it next time. The only thing this place is missing is a dedicated gluten free fryer, so I could order some of their loaded fries.

Underground pizza co...YOU'VE OUTDONE YOURSELVES! Everything and I mean everything was delicious! Drinks 10/10...we both tried the black widow and my beau tried a a second drink (apple ginger energizer) For our entrees, we had the honey old bay wings with both blue cheese and ranch ( both house made) and they came with carrot sticks along with the Tiger King full pie and a kale Caesar salad! Unfortunately they were out of kale (at least I assume) but I don't count it against them. Omg it was soooooooo good! Vibes were good! If I have any constructive feedback it is regarding the play list. While didn't mind it, I'd just say be mindful of your entire audience. Other than that, TAKE A MFN BOW UPC!

Recently tried the Crab Rangoon Pizza and whoa... Absolutely blown away. You know some places make crazy pizza for wow factor and it's mid, but not this place. Underground Pizza loads it with Crab Dip with every bite. Along with the cheese and crispy edges - this may very well be my new go-to flavor. Some may complain about the price, but one slice already makes me full. You're going two pizzas in one basically; majority of the ingredients are locally sourced and or house-made... you are paying for QUALITY! Hope they open a location in Arlington, VA one day aka next to my house haha :)

Underground Pizza never disappoints. It was my mom's first time and she loved it. We initially sat at the bar and ordered our food and drinks. The servers checked in with us often. I ended up switching out my drink order from the Dirty Shirley (too sweet) to the Cosmo and Wanda. We moved to a table as the temperatures dropped and it got chilly by the bar since the door was open. We ordered 3 half pizzas so we could try different ones. The Bianca pizza was soo good and definitely my favorite one of the three we ordered. The fries were good and seasoned well with old bay and garlic Parmesan. We will definitely be back especially since they have some good happy hour options.

The honey old bay wings were good however I don't really like my wings fried hard like that . The elote fries were okay. I feel like it needed more flavor to it and more sauce etc and also the fries were way too crispy . I tried the crab Rangoon pizza but it was not my favorite . However , it was busy . People kept coming in and out non stop . Looks like a very popular spot downtown .They do have a good happy hour menu

10 out of 10! And, the hype is real!! What a great spot! The service was great and the Pizza....freaking delicious!! We came here after a night of hanging out next door at the Power Plant Live venue. The vibe here is really cool. We ordered the CBR, Tiger King, some orange crushes, mozzarella sticks and arancini balls. The pizzas were thick and we were so glad we went with our choices. Hands down!....The Tiger King!! RUN...& DON'T WALK TO ORDER THIS THING! This pizza is loaded with the meats....spicy sausage, bacon, cup pepperoni, mozzarella cheese.... and a honey glaze drizzle that heighten the pizza. We also added green peppers and onions which took it to the next level! The CBR stands for chicken bacon ranch. Just imagine a buffalo chicken pizza this is what you get. We ordered two full size pizzas and it was more than enough to eat there and we had plenty to take home. . The mozzarella sticks and arancini balls are a must order as well...if you are a cheese lover! On to the drinks....the bar menu and drinks are extensive. They feature a wide selection of drinks at their bar. The popular drinks in the house were the "Crushes!" They are very popular.and plenty flavors.... Orange, Peach, Strawberry, Lime...to name a few. Covid wise Underground does not play. The Staff here is really friendly and they can break down the popular pizzas based on your preference. Totally worth the drive from DC or a must stop when visiting the Baltimore Harbor area. I'll definitely be back to try their other pizzas. Just wished there was a sampler type menu where you can try +4 different pizza! Because, all the pizzas on the menu were calling me. Stopped in on a cold Monday for some warm Detroit style pizza! The place is cute (not a ton of seating, but plenty of open space during the week). They have great specials so tried out the cheesesteak sliders (OMG the rolls) and a 1/2 pizza which is plenty for 2 to share or 1 really hungry person! The pizza takes a little bit, but is piping hot once it comes out! Definitely will be back!

While in Baltimore, we arrived to the city late so we were trying to find something to eat. We happen to stumble upon this eclectic eatery. The service was absolutely wonderful, the food was fresh, tasty, and it wasn't overly expensive. If we're ever back in Baltimore, we would definitely stop by this spot again. It was also located in a complex with other eateries and clubs, but it was late so we did not partake in any of those activities. It was walkable and there was an appropriate amount of security & police present as well.

I've had Underground Pizza at a brewery before but yesterday was my first time at the actual spot in Baltimore and man listen: If you want a spot that serves great pizza and wings and drinks this is it. Situated near Port Discovery, this place is a small but busy place serving great food. The employees are nice and welcoming. Our order had old bay fries, garlic parm old bay fries, honey old bay wings, honey lemon pepper wings and 3 pizzas: tiger king, spo, and a flag pizza. The drinks were watermelon like crushes and orange crushes but with tequila instead of vodka. Everything was a 10/10. They did not miss. They have food and drink specials throughout the week. I will definitely return soon.

WOW! Our group of 5 all Raved about this pizza! We had one full tray of cheese and one of pepperoni. They were both fantastic! Service was great even though they were pretty busy after the Orioles game, Absolutely Love the Power Plant area- we will definately be back again.

POST MARATHON MEAL, this hit so hard. came for the crab rangoon PIZZA (outrageous) but stayed for the s'po - all the pizza is just too good. the dough is a bready detroit - style base. sooo fluffy and perfect. i'm already planning my next trip back - and i won't be mad if people call this the best pizza in baltimore.

First time trying Detroit style pizza. I like sweeter tomato sauce and tender foccacia dough like. Catch their pop up at 7locks brewery in rockville just now, right at the parking lot. Come try and support their pizzas.

I am a (new) massive Underground Pizza fan. Their Detroit style pizza is so good! Usually I am not a huge dough fan, but their crust is light and crunchy and I enjoy it just as much as I like their sauce and cheese. The crab dip pull apart bread was also much larger than we thought it would be, and so delicious! Everything we ordered was great and more than enough for three people. We sat outside and it was such a nice experience. The tables had a good amount of shade which allowed us to enjoy the great weather while it lasts. Excited to come back soon and try their specialty pizzas!

While in town for work my husband and I were craving a late-night dinner, something satisfying but not fast food. I found this spot on Yelp, and wow, every review was absolutely spot on. It was easy to find; we rode scooters from our hotel and were warmly greeted by a friendly young man who seated us right away and gave a helpful overview of the menu and happy hour specials. We ordered a local beer and a pepperoni pizza. Heads-up: the half-size pizza is enormous definitely enough to share! It arrived piping hot and was truly incredible. As a serious pizza lover, I can confidently say this was one of the best I've ever had. The crust was buttery, loaded with cheese, and the sauce was perfection. I'll be back for sure during my stay and I'm bringing friends with me next time.

Parking available in nearby garage. Lots of diff pizza options and other items like chicken wings. Kid friendly which is always a plus. Staff friendly and helpful

Night out for my birthday! Had to stop by to eat before heading back to the hotel. Buffalo wings and truffle fries sooooooo amazing!!!! Fries are super crunchy and so yummy.

I have yet to try the pizza so I can only speak on the wings. I enjoy the lemon pepper honey wings & the housemade buffalo wings

Delivery order. My vegan pizza arrived apx 1 hour from ordering and was still warm when it arrived. I really appreciate their vegan menu and was excited to order. I found the pizza to be slightly undercooked and too salty for my taste. I also prefer thin crust pizza, but I was open to what they offered.

First time having Detroit Pizza and its great! Love the crust and fillings. The crab rangoon pizza is interesting! Highly recommended, I'd go again to try the other pizzas. Wish the music was a bit lower because the vibes don't fit the loud and club-like music.

Food is so good! Friendly staff! Chill ambiance definitely recommend. Went on a Saturday night around 11pm and had to pay a cover fee to get into the plaza where it's located

We came there during last weekend and I could say the pizza was absolutely amazing. Every time we come here, we leave happy! We've tried a few different pizzas, but our favorite has to be the Quattro Stagioni has nice flavor with great amount of toppings and lots of cheese, and that kick of chili flakes on the perfect crust. It's just the right level of heat without being overwhelming. The chicken wings were so good and very tender, that rich in flavor. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, and the pizzas come out super fast but still steaming hot. It's the kind of place you want to support because it's clear they care about making great pizza.

This is more of a 3.5 rating ... Came here for lunch by myself, while in town for a dance competition. Another situation where the directions took 20 minutes (thru some sketchy Baltimore streets) to get there and 6 minutes to get back. And even when I got there I still couldn't find the place (guess the "underground" is fitting). Anyway, the place was empty, so I was a bit shocked when the waitress begrudgingly let me sit me where I wanted to sit. But the place was nice with a cute bar outside and inside. I got the meat lovers 1/2 portion, with a coke. The coke was absolutely flat, so I told the waitress and she took it off the bill. The pizza is Detroit style so thicker than NY style. I also thought it was a bit pricey for the size. Overall, it was good, just not up there with the best pizza I've had. Service was good.

Great pizza option especially if you want a deep dish style outside of Detroit. There foccia style dough is always topped with creative options. Also dont sleep on the mozz sticks of the baltimore chicken box I havent had a bad bite from underground pizza yet. Drink menu has all of the usual options and they tend to have a good variety of spirits and specialty drinks. This is a good bar if you want to come and watch the game and during the warmer months they have outside seating and since its right on the Powerplant square you are close to fun things to do and the harbor is a couple blocks away.

When an ultra Yelp Elite sends a sweet message to let you know where to go for the motherload... you come to the Underground. Ivan, Katie, and Floyd are rockstars at the Underground. With smiles and ease, I don't think our waters ever went empty and Katie made sure my Natty stayed flowing and cold. Considering the space is small with hightop and bar seating only, they made sure guests were taken care of. For my first visit, I chose the Farmer's Bounty salad, and the chicken parm pie (full). The salad was perfectly simple and delicious. Packed with spring mix, crispy apple slices, candied walnuts, slivers of red onion, ample morsels of goat cheese, fresh mandarin, raisins, all enrobed in apple cider vinaigrette. Nothing beats the balance of the flavors in this salad when prepared the right way. Underground did this well. The chicken parm pie was out of this world ridiculous yum. The full size serves up 8 hefty slices; the signature sauce, crisp chicken, and mozzarella ignites flavors unmatched. Paired with iced cold Natty Boh, and it's euphoria. If you love Detroit style pizza, yeah... this is up there with Jets on the other side of the river for me. Thankfully, the Underground is not too far. Parking is... well it's the Power Plant in Baltimore. Plan ahead! Parking garage is a few steps away, otherwise street parking and kiosks throughout. I have found the one I love...

Honestly, this pizza is not in my top 20. Partially because I normally like a crispy crust, this crust is chewy and thick but as far as the ingredients are concerned: they're very good -- except I ordered the mushroom pizza and could barely taste the mushrooms With that said it's worth trying, why not The staff is helpful the mozzarella is good --?and then again do you really want to trust someone's review who eats his pizza on his car Hood probably not SO enjoy manga

We order from here every now and again. This time, instead of my usual pizza orders I went for a salad with lump crab. I thought, perfect balance of protein and veggies. The description was misleading as there was nothing lump about the crab. The vegan chicken was dry and the very clear instructions provided were not followed. This was so disappointing, pushing UPC down on my list of go to places.

Delicious pizza and awesome atmosphere! I also had the underground mule which was just a Moscow mule but that was also great.

Did I almost get robbed walking to UPC? Maybe. Did I get asked to pay cover before entering the grounds that UPC's building is on? Yes. Did I absolutely destroy the Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza that came out of the kitchen and into my heart? Abso-freakin-lutely. UPC is worth it. Whatever it is. The vibes are on point, the staff is cool, the danger makes the pizza tastier. 10/10.

The food was so good, I forgot to get a picture! Honestly this was some of the best pizza I've had, similar to that of Chicago. The flavors were there and the service was great. I went in for takeout, and it did not disappoint, awesome food.

The vegan pizza we got was absolutely phenomenal! The service was great too and the atmosphere was chill and friendly. My only reason for one less star is we ordered the vegan loaded fries that never came out. But the server was super apologetic and I could see the kitchen was slammed with takeout orders. Wish I lived anywhere near here because as a vegan I miss my Friday night pizzas.

Great service. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and sent to a nice cozy table in the corner. We were never left alone for too long. The appetizers were great, and the drinks were good too. The pizza was AMAZING. I was so impressed. Also, the fact that their kitchen closed at 1:30am was awesome. We will definitely go back.

Great attentive service. We came in as a party of 4 and ordered the following: - Crab Dip Pizza Could only order this as a full pizza. Was a little on the saltier side but we had ranch ordered with our wings so using it as dip for the pizza helped. A good amount of crab topping so no complaints there. - The UPC CBR This one is tasty with the ranch drizzle on top. Not too salty, even amount of toppings. - Chicken Wings We got two flavors. Mango Habanero and what I think was truffle parmesan. Nothing too special. Mango Habanero tasted similar to the ones from Wingstop. House-made ranch was tasty and appreciated the few carrot sticks to come with.

A delicious bite. This was my first time trying here and it won't be my last. Service was fantastic , shoutout to Lena for taking such great care of us! The beers and cocktails were solid, with options to spare. But the pizza was insane. They have a decently large amount of pizza offerings, with some delicious seasonal options. I cannot recommend the Trifecta more. It was such a saucy flavorful bite. The sauce, topping, and crust ratio was pretty spot on, which was a pleasant surprise. They also have the option for a half or a full pizza, so you can mix and match your meal. I will definitely be back or getting takeout at the very least.

This is my second time trying this restaurant as I recommended this spot after a concert at Rams Head. This restaurant is located inside the Power Plant Live. This place is yummy and delicious especially the mozzarella sticks. The restaurant is welcoming including the staff. They have a bar that is fully stocked with beers and good drinks. Will definitely return

I tried this place once before so I was excited to go again since I really like Detroit style pizza. I think I had the mushroom one last time but this time we tried the crab Rangoon, a vegan one with 3 sauces & a meat heavy one. I'm glad to see so many plant based options since I'm a pescatarian/vegetarian. I enjoyed the vegan pizza which was more standard & refreshing while the crab Rangoon one was an interesting twist which was on the sweeter side . Would definitely go again but just a note that the seating inside is very casual and it's a bit noisy in there. I'd go back in the summer when it's warmer outside since it's quieter.

We stopped in during a show at Power Plant and wow was it perfect! The food was fresh... the mozzarella sticks had an amazing cheese pull! I tried a new pizza/ the cheesesteak and it was delicious! The staff looked like they were having fun and they were on top of orders! The restaurant was so cool because it was inside the area with the concert and it wasn't too loud inside and we didn't have to leave the party to eat! It was clean inside and I will be back for sure! I love underground.

Underground Pizza is a little gem tucked into the same plaza as Rams Head Live, so it's a great spot for show goers. Staff is very friendly, and service is quick. The bartender, Katie, was also working the floor, and she took great care of everyone there. There is a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. The inside is quirky and cozy. WiFi is available. Parking is available on surrounding streets or in nearby garages. During late afternoon, the noise level is quiet to moderate, but I'm sure it picks up in the evening. The pizza is absolutely amazing. Thick and crispy crusts, flavorful toppings, generous amounts of cheese and sauce...what more could you ask for? They have a lot of different pizza and other food item options, as well as drinks, so there really is something for everyone. Tip: if your party wants to try multiple flavors, get half orders of the pizzas. Prices are fair. Whether you're a local or just visiting, I 10/10 recommend you stop by here!

I wasn't always an Underground Pizza fan, as a matter of fact, I had a bad experience getting Underground Pizza when they were using the Pig & Rooster kitchen back in 2020, but I digress. Last year I had Underground Pizza's vegan meat lover's pizza at an event and it changed my life. It was absolutely delicious and I never would have known the pizza was vegan otherwise! Since then, I've been ordering this pizza and it continues to be excellent every time. So far I've just been doing pickup or delivery, but one day I'll eat on site.

Drooling as I remember everything about this experience. We lived in DC when we visited this place and many times after we considered the hour plus drive just to get a few slices.

Great vibes, great pizza, what more can you ask for? Service was sporadic on this very busy night. Fortunately I was there with someone else and we had plenty to chat about between visits. Their pizza style is of the deep dish variety. It tastes fantastic and you will be happy your stopped in. Bar menu is decent, I kept it basic with soda but my friend tried their margarita and she said it was ok.

This is the best pizza I've had in awhile! My daughter had the naked chicken wings and a cheese pizza. My wife had the baked potato pizza and I had the Margarita pizza. This is Detroit style pizza and they have NAILED the crust! Don't get me wrong the entire pizza is FANTASTIC but damn is the crust immaculate! Fluffy with a perfect crunch and chew to it. The flavors hit from every angle and don't hold back. I cannot even to begin to describe how damn insane the baked potato pizza was. I always thought TOT was my favorite form of potato.... It might be pizza form after this! This is a MUST SEEK OUT type of place in my honest opinion! Service was awesome as well even though we did go on a Tuesday at noon. Does look like a night life type of place! Damn this

The pizza here is amazing. Amazing flavor profile, delicious mushroom toppings, excellent bread. I love when I get to treat myself to UPC pizza. It's a treat because the price is a bit steep. I think my only (minor) complaint would be I wish the mushroom pizza had a bit more sauce but I still love it regardless. I often order to-go but the brick & mortar is cute too, with plenty of outdoor seating.

Hey friends! I was in the area for a concert at Rams Head so I decided to stop at one of the best pizza spots in the DMV! I've been coming here since 2022 and it's nothing short of amazing each time. We ordered quick bites, enough to keep our tequila shots down lol. We had their house-made mozzarella sticks and French fries. The fresh mozzarella and marinara really make a difference in taste. They were so crispy with an epic cheese pull! An Italian blend seasoning would make them perfect! Their fries are double-cooked. These are my favorite type of fries as they have a crispy, golden exterior and soft interior. We had also had a house margarita and a Long Island. This is another spot where the Long Islands are Strong Islands lol! My cousin enjoyed his house margarita. Service was amazing. The employees were really friendly and greeted us with smiles. It's rare to experience such friendly staff. Food and drinks come out quickly. It's an intimate bar with high tops as well. It's super cool that they have outdoor seating with an outdoor bar as well. Makes it easier to receive drinks faster! I definitely recommend Underground Pizza if you're in the downtown Baltimore area. I'll be back for the outdoor bar before the summer's over. Enjoy! 3.5 stars- still wish Yelp would make this an option. This review is for take-out as we didn't have the pleasure of dining in. Ordered a Few pies to try after seeing Underground on Yelp and it looking great! In the area and just wanted to hang at home for the night so opted to get them delivered. My kids are big NY pizza fans and while they like Sicilian pies etc, they didn't love Underground's cheese or chicken parm pizza. They said it was "okay". My husband enjoyed his pepperoni pizza and always liked the cups! I tried the Trifecta which was good as well. Their three sauces on my pie tasted fresh and had good flavor. Pizzas all came hot and presented well. Quite pretty on presentations. Overall rating- good. Their menu has lots of other interesting pies and options as well.

I think this pizza is a little overpriced for being so similar to Thee Hut's or maybe kinda like that Ellio's style pizza that used to come from Elementary School lunch cafeteria kitchens. Their marinara sauce is tasty but nothing I'd run back for. The buffalo wings were also pretty unremarkable and not something I'd order again. Surprisingly, I mostly liked their olive oil cake, but again... would not run back for anything I tried from Underground Pizza.

Underground pizza is delicious- I've liked everything I've tried there. Great for when you're in the mood for a hearty pizza, almost like a focaccia with pizza toppings. The one with 3 sauces of probably my favorite. Also like the crisp pepperonis on the edges of the meat and pepperoni pizzas. My only issue is that it is very expensive for not a lot of food, especially if you are ordering delivery on one of the apps. Last time I ordered I was pretty surprised how expensive the tiny pizza was. So I would advise either going in person or picking up, to avoid all those extra charges on top of the already expensive price!
