Editors spotlight its lunch sets with stone-pot rice, chige, and eight or more banchan; at dinner, marinated kalbi and classics anchor the menu. Run by a team with ties to Choi’s Garden, it feels warmly local.

Excellent and very friendly service. Meat was delicious and banchan was varied and also equally excellent! Our server was super nice. Atmosphere was friendly and inviting. Parking attendant was a nice touch as well

Food: must try everything here because this restaurant offers many delicious dishes. It's the best Korean restaurant on the island, some dishes are even better than the mainland. All the meat cuts are high premium and high quality. Service: attentive waitresses and the owner is friendly and welcoming. Atmosphere: clean and cozy interior.

Google
Korea Garden is such a hidden gem! They’ve got all the classic Korean dishes but also let you cook your own food yakiniku style, so you really get the best of both worlds. They hook you up with complimentary sides and the pan fried eggplant was definitely my favorite. We went all out and ordered meat jun, kalbi, cold noodles, bulgogi, and a Korean pancake. Everything was super tasty and honestly no complaints at all. The inside is nice and modern and the service was crazy fast, we couldn’t believe how quick all our food came out after ordering. If you’re in the area and craving Korean food this place is a must try.

Google
An absolutely perfect experience here 💖 from the service, to the food, ambience, and cleanliness of the establishment, everything was impeccable. The staff was incredibly attentive to detail and present but not intrusive. The assortment of banchan was varied, generous, and oh so tasty! We ordered a few bibimbap and a soondubu and were not disappointed! We will definitely be coming back!! I also love that this spot is open late :)

Google
We ordered two main dishes and were pleasantly surprised when ten side dishes arrived along with them. The variety and flavors made the meal even more enjoyable. Everything was well-prepared and delicious, and we could tell a lot of care went into the food. The service was also warm and attentive, which added to the overall experience. It felt like a thoughtful and generous meal from start to finish. We left the restaurant feeling full and genuinely satisfied. It was a lovely dining experience, and we would definitely come back again to try more dishes.

Traditional Korean cuisine Foods are very good 👍 You can tell from those free small appetizer dishes Originally from Choi’s Garden team Glad we found them back again 🎉 They are having the individual rooms for your party 🎉 too.

Google
I really enjoyed having dinner here. From parking to food quality was very impressed. There wasn’t any parking lots but there was a guy who said we could park next to storage and let us know if we had to move it. The food was very tasty and the appetizers were really good too. Enjoyed the seafood pancake and the stone bimbimbap.

We enjoyed the food. It was our first time eating Korean food. We loved the variety if sides to go with the protein.

Yelp
If there's one thing Maui lacks it's the amount of good Korean BBQ or any Asian fusion Cuisine. We were trying to find a place that had both Korean food & Jajangmyeon so my sister could have both. Unfortunately they only serve that during lunch we'll have to be back for that when she returns. We eat a lot of Korean BBQ so we get our favorites & basically compare the dishes we know and love. My husband always gets a short rib / Kal Bi Spicy soup or kimchi jiigae. He said they have the best one so far - spicy flavor w/ a good beef flavor. Everything was so yummy tho' my sister had a blast trying food she rarely gets to eat. The service was 5/5 our server was great - he was so helpful as it was our first time here. Explained every banchan to us & checked on us frequently. You can cook the meats yourself but they do have the option to have the kitchen do it for you which is nice when you don't want to cook to enjoy your company or smell like smoke. If you have leftovers be sure to take those home, we did and everything was so tasty the next day including the soup. The parking lot is small & can be tricky if you're not a seasoned driver. There is a parking attendant who does help you in and reverse if needed - thankfully my husband is a pro because I probably would have turned around and not go in or parked far and walked over.

Yelp
A Korean friend told me about this restaurant when I asked him which was the best Korean restaurant in Honolulu. Without hesitation, he said Korea Garden. I never heard of this place but if my friend from Korea says it's good, I'm sure the food is authentic. It's a very big restaurant and there are two entrances. Arrived on a Friday night and this place was packed. They have an amazing ventilation system because with all the grilling that they do, it wasn't smoky, nor did my clothes smell after our meal. My partner and I are beef eaters and were sold on the combo menu. For $99.99. You get a selection of pork belly, brisket, beef tongue, prime rib and sirloin steak. As soon as we ordered, the banchan (sides) came out almost immediately, then our waitress started the grilling. She knew just how to cook the thinly sliced meat to perfection. My favorite was the grilled pork belly with sliced grilled sweet onion. They have a tasty special salt/oil dipping sauce that goes with all the grilled meats. Everything was so yummy and plentiful, we couldn't finish it all. Another good thing about Korea Garden is that parking is very limited. They have an attendant who shows you where to park in the neighboring lots and we felt that if anything went wrong, he'd come running into the restaurant to find us.

Yelp
4 of us had reservations for 5:15 pm on Tuesday evening. It's an excellent time to come because there was parking space available. We were sitter immediately and Andy as our waiter. We ordered our items and requested for them to cook the food for us so that we could just enjoy eating. The food was all five stars! Portions was plentiful and the service was excellent. I forgot to take photos. It's spacious too. We had: Kalbi soup Kalbi Grilled Pork Belly, not marinated Jap Chae noodles One bowl of rice Whole bunch of bunchan (side dishes) Seafood pancake Definitely going back! Andy, mahalo for the great service!

Yelp
Made reservation at 10:30 for lunch on Saturday. Limited parking outside the restaurant. Service was attentive and efficient. We ordered their lunch set menu which serves daily from 10:30-3pm. Restaurant is clean with some good music. 1. BBQ Kalbi Plate ($27.99) - they marinated the Kalbi for 48 hours and it was very tender and juicy. MUST order! 2. Soft Tofu Soup with Seafood ($18.99) - a lot of ingredients inside and the tofu was very silky. 3. BBQ Chicken Ride Bowl ($20.99) - Chicken was very tender and flavorful. Delicious. The highlight was their Banchan. They have the best Banchan on the island. Variety of Chan Chan like fish cake, fried eggplants, kimchi, spinach, seaweed with daikon, potatoes, mashed potatoes, herb jello, etc. Overall Korea Garden is my top 2 affordable Korean restaurant in Hawaii. Everything is so good. I should come more often.

Yelp
Absolute BEST banchan on Oahu!!!! I've tried many Korean restaurants, but Korea Garden has by far the best! They offer certain banchan that I haven't found anywhere else. Those specialty ones change/rotate but are super good and will require additional visits to experience them all. Ambiance is very nice and clean. The place is pretty large, but it definitely can get crowded and fill up. The staff are normally very friendly and attentive. The yAkiNiKu meat quality is always very good and consistent, but a little on the pricey side. I like to go during lunch and get their soups. Their beef bone broth soup is my favorite along with the spicy beef soup. All dishes go extremely well with their banchan! Would highly recommend! Tips: parking is located in both the front and back of the restaurant. There is usually a parking attendant who will help and instruct on where to park. Lunch time readily has more parking and tables available. Was told the owners are the people who previously owned Choi's Garden..... that's why the banchan is spectacularly good

Yelp
Vibe: It was a rainy day after a long productive day. That means there is a long awaited KBBQ dinner waiting for us! This place hit the spot! Food (5/5): We ordered the seafood pancake, Galbi, brisket, and a plethora of meats. The food came with plenty of banchan to eat with the rest of our food. Everything was well seasoned, tender, and flavorful!! Service (5/5): the servers cook and serve the food for you when they can. They were very attentive and gave us our food quickly. Ambiance (5/5): The parking lot looks small so I can imagine if it's busy, parking may be an issue. However, we can around 8pm and there was plenty of parking. Security watches the lot. Inside of the restaurant looked well kept and spacious. Bathrooms were clean.

Yelp
More great eats at Korean Garden! We returned for another great lunch this time with family! Once again we got great service - and- food. We just love their lunch time specials as the list is long and lots of variety for different taste buds. Once again we got the kaubi w/ healthy stone pot rice & stew so good and lots of food! Spicy pork & healthy stone pot rice and kim Chee stew Bulgogi & health stone pot rice with plain miso stew Fried Mandu was huge but so good! Grand son loved it and almost finished a whole serving himself! Loved the dipping sauce too Over all got parking in the front parking lot- sat at a good size table to seat us all and service was perfect. We loved their lunch stone pot health rice and I encourage everyone to try it - very yummy and good for you!

Yelp
Are we in Korea? Can we crown Korea Garden the best spot for Korean food on Oahu? I think so The best way to determine how your meal will go is to taste the banchan (side dishes). Shortly after you order your food, there will be 8-10 side dishes placed on the table before your meal comes out. We had kimchi, fishcake, braised potatoes, pickled radish, bean sprouts, kimchi cucumber, and jelly. After my coworker complimented the side dishes, a sweet Korean lady came by and dropped off 2 more (salad and kimchi bok choy) Honestly, these were the best side dishes I've ever tasted! They were all so flavorful and perfectly seasoned. I could just eat the side dishes with rice as my meal and I would've been happy. I've ordered a couple of soup items and both were excellent. My coworker highly recommends the spicy seafood noodle soup. I would like to try some of their grilled items. I asked AI to describe Korean food and this was the result: "Korean food is a feast of generosity, where flavors are shared and memories are made, just like a warm hug from a close friend." The amount of love that goes into each side dish is an act of love. The side dishes perfect depict the generosity and warmth of the Korean spirit. I think that's a perfect depiction of the food and love put into this meal. Can't wait for my next Korean food adventure at Korea Garden. Thanks for reading my reviews! Let me know what I should try next!

Yelp
I've been searching for a Korean restaurant in Honolulu that rivals my favorite places in LA, and I think Korea Garden fulfills the brief. Korea Garden serves traditional Korean fare in a clean, modern environment, offering quality food at a reasonable price. As always, I recommend checking out the restaurant at lunch to take advantage of their excellent lunch specials. In addition to a full page of dishes, soups, and stews at discounted prices, the menu features a page of combinations--either stone pot rice with meat/fish and soup ($25.99) OR naengmyeon and galbi ($27.99). Although I've been tempted by the other lunch specials, I've repeatedly gravitated toward the mul naengymyeon and galbi combination, which pairs refreshing beef broth and chewy noodles with nicely grilled kalbi that is neither too salty nor too sweet. My partner has been more adventurous, trying the stone pot rice with spicy pork and soondubu ($25.99) as well as the hot stone bibimbap ($20.99). The spicy pork was nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked, with minimal excess oil on the plate. The only unexpected surprise was the use of firm tofu in their soondubu, which might have been a fluke based on other Yelpers' photos. Nevertheless, we agreed that the flavor of the soup was good. The hot stone bibimbap featured a nice mix of vegetables and meat over a hearty portion of rice and was served with a bowl of seaweed soup. We look forward to continuing to try more of their menu! One of the more impressive things about dining at Korea Garden is the quantity and quality of banchan. The servers initially brought 8 banchan to the table after we ordered but added 2 more as our entrees arrived. The highlight was the eggplant, which appeared to fried and tossed in a a delicious sweet and spicy sauce. The usual suspects--napa kimchi, fish cake, bean sprouts and the like--were good in their own right, and we gladly finished them. Parking is available in two private lots in front and back but could be challenging if you arrive at prime meal times. I would recommend parking in the back of the restaurant to avoid having to back out onto Kalakaua. Even if you end up in the front, the restaurant has parking attendants who will help you navigate the small lots, ensuring that you can back in and out without too much issue.

Yelp
We love coming here because the service is amazing- they're quick and efficient. So friendly. Very casual restaurant you can either cook or they can cook their meat for you . Parking can be an issue . There's parking in the front and the back. Both with a person to help you park.

Yelp
My family and I found our new favorite Korean restaurant and we will be back!! We knew it was good just based on the service. They have their own parking lot and the attendant helped mitigate traffic just so we can enter and leave the restaurant. That alone was amazing. There is so much to choose from here and to enjoy but it's all worth it. Definitely pricey with the more people that you bring but the quality of the food is worth it. You can do a KBBQ-like meal, to appetizers, to stews or all of the above. I'd give this place a higher rating if I could!!

Yelp
Definitely a place to visit if you're looking for Korean BBQ/Yakiniku. The banchan was absolutely amazing and fresh. Service was great and all the waitresses were kind and receptive. Offering suggestions and checking in to make sure we were all well. It's definitely crowded but there's workers to help with parking and looks ideal for dates/birthdays/family events.

Yelp
The food, service, and ambiance is impeccable and excellent all around. Food is savory, good portions, and stays hot for good amount of time. The many different textures with side dishes (banchan) adds pickled veges that adds the crunch. We come for brunch before lunch crowd. To me, this is a very healthy meal than going to Chinese. It's a must because we have left overs for two more meals! They have two private areas for a large or mid-sized parties! Yummy, you have to check them out...ciao!

Yelp
Wow great food! Came for lunch, as the very small lot in front fills up quickly. The service was quick and food delicious. The lunch portion was so large...enough for 3 people but the restaurant doesn't want to have their lunches shared, so we also ordered from the main menu as well. A friend and I shared the kal bi soup (lunch portion) and a seafood pancake. So so delicious, the pancake was so crispy and flavorful. The soup was simple, well seasoned, not overly salty with plenty of goodies in the soup. Great ban chan... with a great variety. We left stuffed and had leftovers for another meal. Will definitely come back!

Yelp
Very clean restaurant, big venue, and busy! This is a family style menu size so be prepared for the price and quantity. Food is tasty! Banchan is good! Parking is a little tight but they do have attendants that help you out and give a wait time. Recommend: Japchae, Kalbi, chicken, and mandoo!

Yelp
I was hungry and wanted Korean food at 4 pm. Most places are on break until 5 pm. Yelped and was surprised to find a resto close to home that I've never heard of. To boot, it was 4.6 stars?! WHAT?! I had to try it out why and how. There was parking in the front and back. It teleported me back to SK with the automatic doors. When I saw I was in awe the moment I walked in on how organized and clean this was I was shook. We were greeted and seated in spotless table, which had an option to grill our own meats. The menu is extensive that I needed to go through it to see what this place was known for. Seafood pancake was what was popular on Yelp so ofc I needed to start off with that. Whenever I see anything marinaded for 48 hrs or an extensive period of time, I know it is going to be good. L.A. Galbi it was. DD usually likes the BBQ Chicken, so that on our list too. There is usually a bunch of ban chan so the 2 meat dishes and pancake was going to do it. Husbands wanted to impress the server, so I let him order for us. Somehow he said rice cake instead of (BBQ) Chicken, so she wrote down tteokbokki. Hubs repeated himself just to be sure and she asked if he meant BBQ Chicken (gogi). He nodded. She repeated the whole order and somehow she added the rice cake to our order. Now, usually I never order the rice cake bc it is always so spicy it just burns my lips. Hubs would rather keep the dish than tell the server he didn't order it. Ok, whatevs . As each dish came I was more and more impressed. The seafood pancake was nice and crispy, lots of bits of octopus, onions, etc. It didn't scratch the roof your mouth. Sauce really wasn't needed at all though it was available. Then the meats arrived. Galbi and chicken. Tender and smokey for both. Nicely balanced in flavors. Loved loved. Now onto to the dish that we never intended to order but so glad we did bc THIS was the star of the show for me. The rice cake. OH. M. Gee. It was love at 1st bite that I could not stop eating it. Tender rice cake. Nice thin slices of fish cake. Then the sauce. The SAUCE was spot on perfect, just how I like to eat spice, which isn't a whole lot. There was a creamy smoothness to it that made me want to lather it over my white rice. We ended polishing off the plate, down to the last drop of sauce. YES! It was THAT good! Need to order this again. But, wait, I cannot forget about every single side dish of banchan. I mean, really? The attention to detail was just *chef's kiss* The freshness. The balance of seasoning. The fact that I didn't taste one bit of refrigeration like the majority of places. This in itself deserved a standing ovation. I took pics and I can't decide which was my favorite. There was bigger portions and so much variety that you could literally have a meal with just these small plates. I used to have 2 other favorites Korean BBQ places up until recently. THIS place will be my new favorite. Service was great. The ladies checked in on us just enough. When we did have a bit of leftovers, the packaging was just impressive how she had little foils slots inside a take out container for us to take back our banchan (or what was left of it). Note: I almost never ever order rice. But I am so glad I did because it paired so well with my meats, banchan, and even stole some of my DD'S rice to lather some of the rice cake sauce over. Restrooms were super clean and they even have 4 hook panel close by to hang your purse of leftovers as you take care of your business. Seriously, they think of everything. Just like my trip in SK. NOW after having a meal here, I can personally say that YES, they deserve a high rating. Will definitely be back! So glad I stumbled upon Korea Garden.

Yelp
From a previous party we had at this restaurant, I remembered how delicious the food was. We had to come back. I called earlier in the day to make a reservation for a party of 5. Upon arrival, uncle at the parking lot told us where to park and he even walked us to the entrance to get a table. He was so sweet. I let them know I called earlier, but they unfortunately did not note down the reservation. We were seated quickly anyways. The staff is very family-oriented and motherly-like. My baby nephew cried and multiple staff members would come to try and console him. It was sweet. Their menu is plentiful with different variations of dishes. Like you can choose amongst their fish options according to your preference/dietary need if any. When we ordered, our server had made recommendations in a way like we knew each other. She would shake her head no, and point to a better dish that was similar. It was quite funny and I'm sure they have good intentions, but I can also see how that may come off in a bad way. We ended up ordering the cold noodle in beef broth, grilled tilefish, and soft tofu with fish roe stew. The other half of the group ordered the combo meat to grill, kimchi stew, zucchini jun, and mandoo. Our total came out to about $250. For the food, it was all very yummy. I didn't take a whole lot of photos, but the dishes were big. My favorite was the soft tofu stew with fish roe. For those allergic to shellfish, it contains shrimp and clams. When they brought the stew, aunty had scooped them into separate bowls for each person. We mentioned it was only for 2 of us since one of our friends had allergies, but I don't think she understood us. She gave us the bowls anyways and we just moved it to our side of the table. Overall tho, the food is authentic. The renovations they did for this restaurant is beautiful, even the bathrooms are nice and clean. I will definitely come back again. A bit of a language barrier with the staff but we can all speak the language of food.

Yelp
A must Korean bbq to come. You won't be disappointed, food is out of this world good. Very very good service, staff are always checking up on us , always ready to help. Nice nice restaurant, the self grill is very clean too. Not like others are always oily on the table and grill.

Yelp
One of the best Korean restaurants I've ever been to. I live in LA and have been to our Koreatown and this place rivals many of the KTown restaurants I've been to!!! I came here when they first opened a few years ago and the dishes were phenomenal so I had to go back on my recent trip to Hawaii in 2025 - however when I came for dinner, the place was PACKED, luckily they were able to see my party of four within 15 minutes. I'd highly encourage making a reservation in advance if you want to come here in the future in the evening. The banchans were sooooo tasty and all the food was great overall. 1000/10!!! Ambience is casual, but also still nice.

Yelp
Love Korea Garden! Probably one of my favorite KBBQ on island. We ordered three different types of meat, beef soondubu, fried mandoo, and kimchi pancake for four people. It's hard to not over order because everything is so good. I love that the restaurant is clean, they give tons of different banchan (and its refillable too), they have those call buttons to call for service whenever you need, there's pretty good parking (with a parking attendant in front), and they take reservations. The restaurant was packed on a Tuesday night, and for good reason! I would definitely recommend Korea Garden if you're craving KBBQ.

Yelp
The parking lot(s) are small, but they have attendants to assist. Walking in from either side, you're greeted and seated fairly quickly. The restaurant is open and clean. We ordered from the lunch menu and the food was tasty and a great value. Our server was the best, making sure we had full bowls of banchan, cups of water and tea, and got our food out to us quickly.

Yelp
I've been taking half-days off from the office, and using the opportunity to eat at places I wouldn't have time for during a normal workweek. I've passed by Korea Garden several times, but never dined there, although the building itself has been occupied by different businesses over the years. Today, as I walked in through the parking lot entrance, I was impressed at how new and nice everything looked -- starting with the door opening automatically. I was greeted as soon as I entered, and as I walked further in, a gentleman seated me. It was not yet 11 am, so there were still empty tables available. I decided on #8, Short Ribs + Cold Noodles in Beef Broth (galbi + mul-naengmyeon). It arrived soon after I ordered it, along with a generous assortment of side dishes (banchan). I don't like wasting food unnecessarily, and so, as I was enjoying the galbi and noodle soup, I picked through the banchan. One of the items intrigued me. It resembled -- and had the texture of -- a deep fried fish I get from Banchan House, and I was eating it carefully, lest I swallow some of the bones. To my surprise, there were none. I asked one of the servers what that dish was, and her answer surprised me. She said it was "fried eggplant." She asked if I liked it, and if I wanted more, so I asked for just a little more. I snapped a close-up this time. Overall, the service and food were great. As I was leaving through the rear parking lot, I noticed it was now full, with a woman in a car inquiring with the attendant about a parking space.

Yelp
It is a restaurant with good Korean food. I recommend the yakiniku. The waiters are very friendly and always willing to help. There is a wide variety of yakiniku to choose from. Lunch is also available and is very reasonably priced. The atmosphere of the restaurant is Korean itself, and the food is delicious and well-liked by the locals!

Yelp
Lunch specials are such a great deal here! If you're craving Korean, you want to add this one to your list. Korea Garden has a private parking lot off Kalakaua. I believe they also have a lot in the back so there is adequate parking. They have a big menu but if you go for lunch, make sure to order off their lunch menu! They have combos with soup + meat (kalbi, bulgogi, fish) or cold noodles + meat choice for under $30. Each set comes with a ton of food but it is one order per person. They also have a huge menu with other options but the combo meals are the best deal! The variety of banchan is impressive and they give a lot of variety. I decided to go with my usual order, kalbi and soft tofu soup combo. The combo comes with a plate of tender kalbi, soft tofu soup and a pot of healthy rice (comes with grains and pumpkin cooked in hot stone pot). The portion sizes are generous and I always have enough to take home after. This is a go to spot for korean food!

Yelp

Yelp
I thought this place was so great! Its located very close to the Hawaiian Convention center and very convenient in order to be able to get a meal. I went for the lunch special which was awesome - I had a BBQ chicken dish and it came with a stone pot of Hot Rice and Sundubu (Korean tofu soup) on the side. They have a unique take in their stone pot hot rice where they also mix in some veggies which showed creativity of the place. Moreover, this place had such delicious and generous Banchan (korean side dishes). The banchan was so fresh and everything was super delicious. I had a great meal here and everyone at the restaurant is incredibly hard working to make sure you have a good experience!

Rieko K.

Yelp
Service is really good even they are so busy. Meat was regular quality and cold noodle, too but Namuls are super good! I'll go back for that
google avatar

Yelp
Food is amazing, service is on point. The ladies are so attentive and helpful. They always try and help us decide on what to eat and they also help us cook our meat. They have THE best tofu stew ever. So good, and the kalbi! Kbbq is great quality and all the banchan is a great selection.

Yelp
Walking into the restaurant, the first thing I noticed was how fresh, clean, and modern it felt. We were seated right away, and it was clear this spot is very popular. They even have tables for larger groups and private rooms, which is great to keep in mind for future visits. We came specifically for the yakiniku set, which included brisket, pork belly, tongue, and steak for about $95. While it's not AYCE, the portions were generous. The steak especially was huge and filling, and the variety of banchan more than makes up for it. Because it's not AYCE, the meat quality was noticeably higher. The tongue was incredible, and I don't think I've ever been served that much banchan before! Service was fantastic and very attentive. We were greeted right away, had multiple servers checking in, refilling water and banchan, and even occasionally helping with the grill. Plus, if you need something quickly (like when you've already cleared out your favorite banchan), there are call buttons at the table for immediate service. We'll definitely be back, probably to try some of the other main dishes since we realized we were the only ones having yakiniku that night LOL. It seems like they might actually be best known for other menu items!

Yelp
We enjoyed this place in September. We were a party of 8. We thought we'd get two grills but we're only offered one even though we had two at our table(s). We'd never been in there before, it's much larger than I expected. There were quite a few servers, we never had to find it seek one out! Our food came quickly. I was offered a bowl of seaweed soup in honor of my birthday! Right up my alley! Healthier than cake that's for sure. LOL! All in all it was a great night. Oh there's parking in the front AND back!

Yelp
IMPRESSIVE BANCHAN! Everything is really meant for family style thus the prices. We got 8 plates of banchan and we noticed one of the servers looking at our table and then she came back with 2 more! I thought 8 was already a good amount but apparently you're supposed to have more! We got the seafood soondubu (soft tofu) soup, tteokbokki, and meat jun. That was more than enough for two people but those are dishes that me and my partner really like. We're also good with eating leftovers so no food goes to waste! Tteokbokki (with cheese) was delicious, I would say it makes it to one of my top spots for tteokbokki, soondubu was great and they had a good amount of seafood in there, and the meat jun was delicious too! All the banchans were good, I love when they give fishcake and shoyu potatoes. Atmosphere - Lively and bright! Bright lights, gives me a vibe of a warm brick house, and the servers are hustling! Service - They are attentive and will check in with you! They make sure that you are good to go and you have everything you need! Cost - The range is around $19 - $30 for what we got and it depends on what you get. They have an extensive menu so there are a lot of options of what you can eat. For what we got plus tip, it was around $95. Parking - They do have a small parking lot in the front and I believe they have one behind as well. We walked. Location - It's on Kalākaua and Fern so it is a pretty busy street. I would come here again because the food is good and that banchan!

Yelp
Korea Garden, my dental hygienist told me about this place while cleaning my teeth. All I could say was uhh uhh. Lol. She raved about the lunch menu the food was good and priced right. We parked in front of the restaurant and felt like we were in a restaurant in Korea. What a nice change of scenery. We decided to try and ordered Hangover soup and Bibimbap. I have to agree the service is fast and the food is delicious. I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
I'm a big fan of Korean food, and this place is one of my go-to spots. The main reason I come here is for their dolsot yeongyangbap. Honestly, that dish alone deserves a full 5 stars. My favorite part is pouring in the boricha after finishing the rice and enjoying the sungnyung--it's simple, but it's one of my absolute favorite foods. The bulgogi, on the other hand, isn't really my style. It feels like it's seasoned a bit too sweet, so it doesn't match my taste. The banchan change every time I visit. Today, they were not too salty, which was nice, but there are days when they taste overly salty or sweet. The inconsistency is a bit disappointing. Still, because I love the dolsot yeongyangbap so much, this is a restaurant I keep coming back to.

Yelp
This place is top of the list when I'm craving some Korean food! The ambiance is pretty vibrant and it's one of my favorite go-to's for dinner or a late night bite! The restaurant conveniently has parking on both sides of the building, and while I'm sure it has its peak times, I've always been fortunate to find parking. There are a couple Korean Uncles who help man the parking lots, too! I'm always greeted and seated in a timely manner, even when it seems like there's bound to be a long wait. They have yakiniku style or traditional Korean dishes, and I always go for their Spicy Beef Soup (Yukgaejang). Their Bibimbap is also really good too! The best part of the meal has to be the banchan they have -- which they totally refill upon request too. The servers are super friendly, awesome, and on it with their service! I can be a slow eater, so I appreciate how I never feel rushed here!

Yelp
Unassuming curb appeal with parking both front and back of the restaurant. The service was quick and friendly. Ambiance was no nonsense but could be enhanced. The variety of dishes came out quickly. The kalbi, seafood pancake and fish were excellent. Definitely a return-to dining destination!

Yelp
We adore Korea Garden for its above average Korean Bbq and casual upscale charm. New-ish to the already crowded KBBQ scene in Honolulu the service and quality food are a notch above the norm. We love their selection on banchan, especially the fried eggplant dish that usually comes as a little surprise addition to the others. If you're not in the mood to grill it yourself, there are plenty of options from the kitchen on the menu. Great experience and highly recommended. Pro-tip...the main entrance and parking. is on Kalakaua but they have an ancillary parking lot on Kalakaulani Way with a back entrance.

Yelp
I was craving some comfort korean food since it was cold and stormy outside. At first, we pulled up to the front of the restaurant and there were no parking stalls left and I was bummed since I thought we'd have to find somewhere else to eat. My boyfriend decided to drive in the back to see if there were any street parking and to our surprise, they have a back parking lot! There was a sweet parking attendant who pointed us to an open stall and held the umbrella over me when we walked to the doors! We were quickly seated and were in awe with the selection of their menu. It was hard choosing what to order since there were only 2 of us. We finally decided on the spicy tteokbokki and seafood pancake for the appetizer and soondubu with pork and spicy beef soup for our entrees. The banchans were so fresh and delicious! The kimchee tasted homemade! We munched on our banchans while we waited for our food (which was so quick!). The tteokbokki was perfectly chewy with that sweet/spicy kick! The seafood pancake was filled with veggies and seafood. My boyfriend devoured the soondubu and I loved my spicy beef soup. The service is incredible here! Our waitress routinely came in to check in on us, fill our waters when it was half full, and brought us extra banchans as well! The great service definitely made the food so much better! Great food, clean and neat restaurant with stellar service! This became my favorite korean restaurant! Highly recommend!!

Yelp
I felt like I was in Seoul when I entered Korea Garden. Their setup is very much like a typical restaurant in Korea with many staff and good service. The crowd seemed very mixed with Korean tourist and locals. We tried meat jun, spicy pork, corvina fish, and beef broth tendon soup. They were all pretty good. Their portion is pretty big so you can easily share. Meat Jun for example was $25.99 but it's really for 2 people unless you are a big eater. You can ask for more side dishes. I think their price is reasonable. I would like to try their lunch menu next time.

Yelp
Wow! Wonderful experience. Extremely fast and friendly service. Excellent bbq and plentiful banchan. Min was our main server but everyone helped. We finished dinner for 6 in about an hour! So full! Parking easy early and everything was so clean inside. Definitely coming again!

Yelp
Dinner at a Korean restaurant in Hawaii with a large group can be challenging so I headed to Yelp to do some research. Remember my buddy Allen N. had celebrated his and Deborah P.'s birthday there with a large group. First review I saw was Rod U.'s stellar review so I knew this had to be the place. Jo Y. also loved this restaurant so bada bing, need to dine here! Calling in to reserve a table was easy peasy! Parking was my only worry as the restaurant has limited parking in their front and back private lot. Thanks Donna O. for the parking tip! Pro tip: no flat charge. Show some love and tip the attendant for finding space! ! 5 stars in my book! Limited wait as the friendly staff said the party ahead of us was just about to leave. No worries because we were a bit early. Staff cleaned the table very efficiently. Impressed that many staff members were informed and checked on us often during our short wait. I knew Korea Garden gave a lot of banchan from the reviews I read, but Wowzers! Not only was it plentiful, but large in size! Impressive as there were ban chan that I had not ever tried like mung bean jelly! Our favorites were the fried Kim chee and the eggplant. We actually over ordered and had plenty of take out containers. Our visiting friends really enjoyed their meal and commented that they will never forget how great the service and quantities of food was served. Why not 5 stars? Maybe it's just me, but some of the dishes were too sweet.

Yelp
I've been craving meat jun recently and decided to give Korea Garden a try since they were around the area I was running errands. They are located at where Home Bar was located so parking is available in front and in the back of the restaurant. Stalls are on the tight side. When you enter you'll see the dining area that seats small to mid size groups comfortably. Tables also have extra napkins and chopsticks on the side drawer if you need. Customer service was excellent and made the meal more enjoyable. Since I wanted meat jun, I knew what I wanted. The order comes with seaweed soup. Mink ordered the Lunch Special #3 - Healthy Stone Pot Rice + BBQ Chicken + Stew (Kimchi Stew). It didn't take long for the kitchen to get our order out and 8 different banchan dishes were provided. They randomly brought out 2 more in the middle of our meal which was awesome! Mink really enjoyed her meal and I thought the meat jun was quite tender. Flavors of everything were delicious. We both really enjoyed lunch and will be adding Korea Garden to our rotation of restaurants.

Yelp
One of the better korean restaurants on the island even though my 1st experience at Korea Garden was just ok. The parking wasn't the absolute best, and while the food and service were good-to-great, I tasted something really salty on my water cup around the rim which was really weird--I didn't know what it was so I just stopped drinking water. The parking situation isn't the best either, the stalls are kinda tight but parking attendant was super cool and I really appreciated the guys help. We had to wait a bit since it was a Saturday night but that's expected!

Yelp
Came here for lunch a couple times and this was the first time for dinner. It was a Friday night, reservations for 5:30pm for a party of 7. We all walked over, but from what I could see, there was still ample parking in the lot. They also have a parking attendant. The food was delicious! From the banchan to the main dishes, everything was satisfying. The portions and the flavor are on point. The servers are great. They constantly fill water and check on you. They help serve some of the dishes. They are all friendly as well. The restrooms are so clean. You truly feel like you're in a clean and safe environment. We had some games and sat around talking for a while and they never rushed us. I will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
The best Korean food, everything is so fresh and yummy. I like that they offer to cook the food for you if you don't want to cook it yourself. We got a set which fed 3 of us. The service was amazing!

Yelp
Amazing food and service! The most delicious selection of banchan too, great portions. We went for dinner but I'll definitely be back for lunch. The soondubu, japchae, bulgogi, kalbi were all yummy. I'm still thinking about it. The parking was a bit difficult but there's parking in the front and back of the restaurant. The restaurant is clean and spacious. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Excellent friendly service and fast delivery of food. Nice ambiance for a Korean BBQ place. Food was really good, what could have made it great was having the meat marinated a little longer. Otherwise, a good experience and would still recommend.

Yelp
After "graduating" from my knee prehab sessions, we wandered into Korea Garden since we had seen many stellar reviews from fellow Yelp Friends. This restaurant had recently opened about 2 or 3 months ago, yet the numerous times that we've driven on Kalākaua Avenue, we always noticed their packed parking lot. However, when we turned into their lot fronting Kalākaua Avenue, the parking attendant directed us to park in front of their gate along the sidewalk. After parking our car, the attendant led us to the restaurant's entrance. As soon as we entered, we heard several female voices calling to us with the familiar Korean greeting of "annyeonghaseyo (Hello)!" and "myonmyongiseyo (How many)?" I recognized the greetings from my recent K-drama binge-watching and blurted out, "du myeong juseyo (2 people, please)," to my husband's surprise. The hostess/server seated and immediately gave us the beverage and food menus. Their multi-page menus are extensive, so it took us some time to get through them until we found their lunch menu. The friendly and polite server stopped by our table several times to take our meal order, and after her third stop, we decided to get two items. We agreed to share the Korean-Hawaiian favorite Meat Jun (pan-fried egg-battered beef) Plate for $18.99 and traditional Hot Stone (dolsot) Bibimbap (with raw egg yolk) & Chopped Beef for $19.99. The server informed us that the Meat Jun Plate also included steamed white rice and a bowl of seaweed soup (miyeok guk). She placed the order with the kitchen and brought out a tray filled with eight bowls filled with different kinds (savory, sweet, mild, or spicy) of banchan or side dishes. We started to eat the banchan while waiting for our lunch. Another server delivered the Meat Jun Plate, soup, rice, and dipping sauce. Our server, who was right behind, brought the sizzling dolsot bibimbap (Hot Stone Bowl Bibimbap). She asked about our spice level preferences as she squeezed a ring of gochujang onto the rice toppings, and then she proceeded to mix the sauce, toppings, and rice. She warned us about the scalding heat from the stone bowl and suggested we wait before scooping the mixed rice out to eat, which also allowed the mixed rice to develop a nice crispy, golden brown crust (nurungji) from the sizzling hot bowl. Korea Garden deserves all the praise it has been getting for its tasty Korean cuisine, reasonable pricing, friendly, attentive, polite service, and clean and lovely décor. Regarding the famous Korean politeness culture, the servers thanked us for dining at their restaurant and even escorted us to the exit. Tsk, I drew a blank and forgot the proper Korean phrase to express our appreciation and enjoyment of the dining experience. We eagerly look forward to returning for a Korean BBQ dinner and other lunchtime specials as I practice saying key Korean phrases.

Yelp
I have to say this place might be one of my favorite Korean food on island. It has an extensive variety of menu where you can either order Korean BBQ or have a great a la carte/soup menu. The waiters were very friendly and quick! The first we came, we ordered their a la carte menu, so this time we went with their KBBQ. We ordered the combo package that includes boneless kalbi, tongue, ribeye and brisket. It was so good that you can definitely tell that they only serve good meat for their kbbq. The price was a little pricey, but the food was definitely worth it! They also served us tons of side dishes and it was so delicious! The side dishes tasted authentic and they kept giving us more! We were a bit slow in cooking, so the waiters ended up helping us cook the meat too! Definitely a 10/10 service! It was pretty crowded when we went, but there wasn't any line on a 7pm on Saturday, but definitely get a reservation in if you have a bigger party!

Yelp
Mashisoyo! Quite possibly the best Korean food on island. The interior of the restaurant is modern and clean. This is the old home bar spot, and everyone knows how challenging the parking can be, but with those Korean uncles guiding you to park outside, it has not been an issue for me. The kalbi-Jjim , squash Jun are two of my favorite kitchen prepared items. If you do order meat to grill they typically set up your grill and grill a round before letting you do your thing. But they also will come around more and cook more for you. The banchan here is so good. That yuzu daikon radish is so good. I could eat buckets of it. I love their kim chee and I appreciate they give you a huge variety of different banchan. Service can be up and down, but then again, what Asian restaurant is known for fine dining style service. It's fine. I've only been at dinner, but I've peaked at their lunch menu and feel like that is the real chef's kiss. If you're coming for dinner, prepare to pay at least about $50 per person. But the food here is so good, it's worth a splurge.
