Euphoria

"The head chef once found onion repulsive, but then—by chance—discovered his love for the pungent bulb and went on to be obsessed with it. The allium is hard-wired in Euphoria’s DNA – from the décor and tableware to the sauces and dishes. His oignon jamboree, which makes an appearance in the lunch and dinner prix-fixe, elevates the onion from a supporting role to a leading cast—different varieties of onions cooked five ways are topped with caviar." - Michelin Inspector

"Rank: #41 "Opened in November 2020, Euphoria is the latest addition to Singapore’s ever-evolving gastronomic scene. Located in a heritage former shophouse on Singapore’s Tras Street, it seats just 26 and takes the concept of vegetable-led haute cuisine to new heights."

Food was intriguing and the ambiance lovely—but the service? Totally out of sync. The short hair bespectacled host had an odd energy and a brusque tone that made things awkward. Telling a guest to skip the restroom because “your food is here” isn’t fine dining, it’s just bizarre. And pouring sparkling drinks like tap water? All bubbles, barely any drink. When questioned, she insisted that’s how it’s supposed to be. For a Michelin-starred spot, this level of service doesn’t do the food or atmosphere justice. That said, the pastry chef’s dessert was divine and ended the dinner on a high. Honestly, it saved the entire experience from being a 1-star review. Would still love to return for a new menu—especially if dessert takes the spotlight again. I honestly can’t begin to imagine what was going through the owner’s mind when they decided she was the right fit to represent the front of house.

Just simply fastastic food. Every plate was a master-mix of perfectly fitting ingredients, texture and taste. The chef is a magician with food. Only small off was main meat. Service was professional and ambience still very good after 4-5y running. Wine selection could be bigger. V

Euphoria restaurant was a lovely discovery during my recent day out! The staff welcomed me so kindly and made sure I felt comfortable right away. They took the time to go over the menu with me, offering helpful suggestions that made choosing easy. I really liked the atmosphere; it’s cozy and relaxed, perfect for unwinding. The whole visit went smoothly, from arriving to leaving, and I appreciated how attentive everyone was. It’s a convenient spot if you’re around, and the service alone makes it worth stopping by. If you’re looking for a nice, stress free place to enjoy some time, Euphoria is a wonderful choice. I’d gladly suggest it to anyone passing through who wants a pleasant experience!

A great fine dining experience. Flavors and textures are well balanced and everything was executed flawlessly. The wine pairing was especially great, as it was combining perfectly with each dish. Only little downside was that the appetizer and entree were a bit on the heavy side (especially the mochi bread) which limits your appetite for the next dishes. But really a minor thing.

Visited in Nov 2024 The tasting menu at Euphoria adopts a flavour theme which focuses on sauces made from high quality vegetables, esp. onions. This “onion themed” establishment (from the menu to the interior decors) which got its first Michelin star in 2022, continues the “gastro-botanica” cuisine theme of Head Chef Jason Tan which he had started at Corner House. From the starters courses to the main, you’ll see the influence of the onion in every dish. My favourite courses were the Wagyu Shortrib and the crispy carrot cake. The Patagonian tooth fish course was also quite nice. Among the sweet courses towards the end, really liked the petit fours (course is called Alice in Wonderland). For drinks, I went with a couple of glasses of non-alcoholic beverages which were quite nice. All in all, this is a good restaurant which is definitely worth a visit.

Everything was great. Confused by some of the critical reviews on here as I had an exceptional experience and felt Euphoria offer a value-for-money tasting menu compared to some of their peers around Singapore. Stand-out dishes were definitely the pork jowl, Gorgonzola cheese with truffle wafer and the dessert (which had caviar in it)

During our food-centered Singapore holiday, we enjoyed gastronomic adventures at all three of the country’s Michelin 3-starred restaurants, and decided to also try a 2-star and a 1-star. Euphoria floored us, and is our top choice for our next trip. It is, especially relative to the others, excellent value for money. You get the authentic Michelin experience at a fraction of the price of the 3-stars, while still being immersed into a culinary universe well outside the box. At Euphoria, we received perhaps 4 to 5 fewer dishes yet each one was exquisite. The same cannot honestly be said of the others, which all had some dishes that were excellent but not extraordinary. Euphoria’s chef Jason Tan pulls off the onion theme brilliantly, extracting amazing flavors and textures from different varieties. My absolute favorite dish was the “OIGNON JAMBOREE,” a stunning dish almost too pretty to eat that uses 5 onions as well as Oscietra prestige caviar. I also enjoyed the blue cod and langoustine dish, as well as the desserts. Their names hardly capture the creativity, but one combines caviar with ice cream and another utilizes local fruits in dramatic ways. I can’t describe them well, so you have to try them yourself. Surely their second star is not far behind. The combination of exquisitely beautiful, creative and delicious food with outstanding service merits the recognition.

To be honest, I think what truly distinguishes Euphoria is Chef Jason Tan himself. When we re-visited the restaurant, we were once again impressed by his culinary brilliance and warm, friendly demeanor. Chef Jason greeted us and ensured all guests dining experiences were exceptional. His dedication to his craft and personable nature make dining at Euphoria a memorable experience. His attention to detail and innovative approach to cooking have earned him a Michelin star, reflecting his passion for using fresh, high-quality ingredients and transforming them into extraordinary dishes.
