32 Best Things to Do in Lisbon, Portugal's Sun-Soaked Capital | Condé Nast Traveler

"For one of Lisbon’s best viewpoints, the top of this park looks down Avenida da Liberdade and over the Tagus; despite the central location it feels like a peaceful escape, with La Estufa Fría, the Amalia Rodrigues Garden, and even a picturesque lunch at Praia no Parque on hand when you need a break." - Abigail Malbon

"Formerly called “Liberty Park,” this 26 hectares green space features dramatic hedges and views of Lisbon and the Tagus River. It’s a large scale feat in a city of quaint corners."

15 Best Bars in Lisbon | Condé Nast Traveler

"Lisbon is especially beautiful from above, and Park, crowning an otherwise humdrum Bairro Alto parking garage, provides rapturous views. Outside, in a magical urban garden setting lush with greenery, there’s crate-like patio furniture. Inside, there's a lodge-like feel with lots of wood, vintage-style chairs, and dangling white pendants. You’re here for the distinctive, surprising setting, not the thought-provoking mixology, so kick back with a straightforward, breezy Mojito or margarita." - Alia Akkam

It's a very beautiful and large park, perfect for a peaceful walk surrounded by nature. The view from the top of the park is spectacular. Depending on the time of year, there may be more or fewer tourists. On a sunny day with good weather, it's well worth a visit.

Google
A beautiful public park in Lisbon, Portugal with great views over the city. The top is great for photos. Good for a walk, sit and have lunch or a drink, or have your dog play around.

Google
What a great parque / jardim in central Lisbon. Plenty of spaces to walk and sit with many great restaurants, cafes , and quiosques nearby to enjoy the warm Lisbon sun

Parque Eduardo VII is one of the best spots in Lisbon to enjoy a peaceful walk and take in a great view of the city. From the top of the park, you can see all the way down to the river and the Praça Marquês de Pombal. It’s a lovely place to relax, especially at sunset. The park is also very close to El Corte Inglés, so it’s easy to combine a visit with some shopping or a coffee break nearby.

Google
Beautiful lookout over the city towards the water. If you like vistas, definitely a must see. Also check the smaller part of the park across the road (more north), for a super cute cafe near a small pond.

Google
Iconic park in central Lisbon. You can get the hop on bus at this location or just walk all the way up from the roundabout to get a nice view of the city and take a picture near a Lisboa sign.

Google
Very large sloping park mainly put over to trees and grass. Lovely view from the top across the city. Interesting sculpture here too.

Google
It’s a great place to walk in Center Lisbon. There are nice play ground upon its periphery. It’s a great venue for seasonal festivals as well. The Park contains notable fountains and sculptures too, as well as the iconic Lisbon installation with view of the harbor in the distance.

Yelp
OK, I'm upping the star rating to 5 because we visited the Estafu Frio ("Cold Greenhouse") today, which was WOW!!! Truly an oasis in this busy city!! So, despite the unkempt grounds issue, the greenhouse makes up for it all...!!!

Yelp
Parque Eduardo VII is a park in Lisbon's northern part, super close to Marquis de Pombal and right next to the Parque metro station. It's got over 64 acres to explore and enjoy, with breathtaking views of Lisbon looking east. The park was built in the late 1800s and has a long, wide strip of grass in the center, surrounded by wide Portuguese-style sidewalks perfect for a leisurely stroll and soaking in nature. Families love to spend time here, and during Christmas, they even have an outdoor ice rink where you can ice skate to Christmas music. It was absolutely stunning the day we visited a few days before Christmas - a warm and sunny day that we'll cherish forever.

Yelp
My wife and I were here on a Gate1 tour. While the City bus tour took us here, we also went on our own 2 days later. Then we saw the 2-week Book Fair, which was interesting. We saw dogs splashing around in the heat, with their owners.

Yelp
On approach along Avenida de Liberdade, the park didn't seem like much, just a brilliant green mirage ahead of us with numerous pathways and a very steep uphill walk. But when you reach the pinnacle and look back at Lisbon, you'll see why this climb is worth every bit of effort! It's my favorite viewpoint in the city, even above the famed Miradouro das Portas do Sol. if you visit on the right day, the world's largest Portuguese flag will be flown at the top (northern) end of the park. Redesigned in 1945, the space covers 64 acres (26 hectares) in the middle of the city and is named for an English king. The Carlos Lopes Pavilion, leftover from the 1922 expo, can be found near the top as well.

Yelp
Amazing views of Lisbon await you at Parque Eduardo VII. Not too many visitors at the time I went in the middle of a Sunday.

Yelp
Hi running friends! Yes, I speak to the Yelp runners as I went there as tourist and another day as runner! I enjoyed both visits! But for the runners, this is a really nice place to finish your tour! Fan of challenges? Just go there! After your "climb" (as tourist and as runner), you will -FOR SURE- , be amazed at the stunning view of Lisbon and the Marquès de Pombal place! Of course, this is not the biggest park in town but the view is worth the climb! Shops and a "Corte Ingles" store are located nearby so you can combine this visit and nice walk with your shopping day! Enjoy!

Yelp
If you climb to the top of the hill the view makes for a great picture! Or if you exit out of the subway on the other side it puts you on the top side of the hill or a more friendly walk. Walk to the bottom and find pedal a gusto the lemonade/ orange juice stand for a nice refreshing drink!

Yelp
A cool park with nice fountains. Good for running round although one half of the lap is quite steep downhill and the other quite steep uphill.

Yelp
Parque Eduardo VII is located on the north side of Avenida da Liberdade, right behind the Pombal Marquis square. It's named after King Edward of England who came to Lisbon in 1903. It's a beautiful park but it can be very hot there and there is nearly no shadow.
