Where Locals Eat in Venice - AFAR

"A long-established, family-run bakery considered by many to be the best in Venice; the shop focuses on a small range of items executed perfectly—favorites include focaccia Veneziana and a notable Christmas panettone—and retains charming traditions such as giving children a dove-shaped meringue." - Ashlea Halpern

Very good Classic Venetian pastries

One of the best cappuccinos in Venice! Price just 1.80 euros. Great local cheap baked homemade goods. Advice to pay a visit to try local fresh pastries. In this review I highly discourage you to go for “the best coffee” to the place called “Caffe Del Doge” where cup of coffee is around 6€. Save your time and energy. Cheers!

We made a special trek over to this part of Venice to visit this place. It has been run by multiple generations in one family. It is so endearing to watch nono making the donuts. Speaking of the donuts, some of the best we have ever tasted. A perfect combination of crispy outside and soft and doughy inside. Worth the visit. Plus, you can spend time in a less populated neighborhood of Venice.

We tried their fugassa, Bussola buranello, and classic krapfen, all really nice! The bakery smells incredible when walked in, owner very friendly!

Friendly service, great coffee (one of my favorite from today in Venice). Really tasty. I recommend!

During last few years the quality of krapfen has dropped dramatically low, unfortunately:(

Really nice bakery, worth a trot. Happened upon this shop after eating across the street. I forget the names of the three items we purchased but all were delicious and cheaper than they could get away with. They have a donut-shaped regional pastry that was really great and happened to be vegan. My very selective vegan partner loved it. We wish we bought more of that and would welcome another vegan item or two.

Smaller pastry shop with less diverse of a selection as the other shops. However, they make up for this with their dedication to quality. They are family owned and operated. It's not as busy as tonolo but it is a bit better in my opinion. Definitely worth paying a visit if you're looking for authentic venetian pastries.

Wonderful pasticceria in Dorsoduro - lovely coffee and pastries as well as homemade jams etc. Very friendly. The fritelli with zabaglione we had during the carnevale were the best things we ate in Venice during our trip.

Yelp
The ladies here make the most wonderful pastries. While being utterly sweet and kind. A delight.

Yelp
Try the cream puff here. It is amazing! Very reasonably priced. They seem to serve coffee too but didn't get a chance to try it.
