For a hotel with the reputation and pricing of Bayerischer Hof, our experience was extremely disappointing.
The room was advertised as a double room with both a king bed and a twin, and the photos clearly showed two separate beds. Instead, we were given a room with only one king bed, and when we raised the issue, the staff were dismissive rather than helpful.
We also attempted to book spa treatments, only to be told that they did not know when anything would be available because the therapist was out. Throughout our entire stay, no treatments were offered at all, something unacceptable for a luxury hotel.
The room itself fell short of expectations: it was dark, had stains on the couches, low ceilings, and unimpressive décor. For the price, the overall quality was far below what one would expect from a five-star property.
To make matters worse, no one assisted with my luggage down the stairs. A staff member commented, “I see you are able to do it yourself, so you won’t need any help,” and walked away. The remark was deeply disrespectful and left a lasting negative impression.
Overall, our stay did not meet the standards promised by a hotel of this category, and we left feeling extremely disappointed.
Edit: I reached out to their customer service team and no one responded. This generic response here is copy and pasted on all negative reviews. Poor customer service!
