I recently stayed at the W Hotel Downtown Atlanta, and while the front desk staff were exceptional in attitude and professionalism, my room experience was very disappointing.
Upon entering the room, “stated to be ready”, the first thing I noticed was a dried blood stain on the top blanket of the made bed. This should never have been overlooked by housekeeping. To make matters worse, there was trash left in the trash can, giving the impression the room had not been properly cleaned or prepared. At this price point and for a hotel with such a prestigious name, this level of oversight is simply unacceptable.
To their credit, the front desk staff responded quickly. They came to the room, apologized, documented the issues with photos, and escorted me to another room. Their professionalism stood out, but unfortunately, upon checkout there was no further acknowledgment of the situation no discount, no extra points, and no apology from management.
While I appreciate the kindness and professionalism of the staff, the lack of attention to detail in room cleanliness raises concerns about the overall standards of care. Because of this, I’m not sure if I would choose to stay here again.
