It is most visit spot in Tampa if you have kid. It is not only refreshing, entertaining and enthusiastic but also educational to your kid to explore about the water and ships, movie theaters, shopping, pet veterinary, farming, fire fighter and most importantly about the dinasours. There are multiple attraction for arts and crafts using lego, light and blocks. Most importantly you can design your own pirate accessories using different items as colored beads, papers, feathers etc using scissors, glue sticks and hot glue. It would be best ever day for your kid where they can explore different dimensions of science, art and crafts and physical activities. While they are being enjoyed, they are learning a lot. Can you imagine there is shopping mart where kids role play as buyer or cashier, followed by section of pet veterinary and hospital containing information about different body system, CT scanning, X-ray and an ambulance containing all the accessories in real ambulance. The pizza preparation spot where they can build their own pizza and role play to bake it is interesting. Next there is fire station along with the firefighter gadgets and the vehicle to understand the basic operation. There is dancing spot where you can be projected in the television. The complete movie theater and the farm containing crops, cows, pigs and rooster give insight about basics of filmography and farming. The third floor provide information about dinosaurs, their evolution and all the specific details. The first floor is water section where kids can run their own ship, perform fishing, create tornado etc whereas you can get fundamentals of ships and fishing. Totally worth to check out in Tampa and our kid really love it by commenting as the “best day ever”.

I would consider this the ultimate kid getaway. There’s so many areas for imaginary play and enough to do for kids to get the wiggles out. You can easily spend the entire day here. I think this museum is more appropriate for children younger than 8-10 years. Older kids may be disinterested because the activities are more for toddlers & little kids. We enjoyed story time and building a gingerbread house while we were there, and food items were pretty inexpensive. The museum was very clean and has sanitizer stations all over. Finally, the staff was very helpful, friendly and engaging with the kids. I would definitely return again.

Google
Amazing kids’ museum with endless interactive play opportunities The Museum is a beautifully designed and highly engaging place for children and families. It offers a great mix of indoor play areas, including toys and small climbing opportunities. One of the absolute highlights is the child-sized harbor replica. Kids can fully immerse themselves in imaginative play by rolling small balls through the port system — across bridges, through fog and rain effects, and along different pathways. There are interactive walls where children can draw, steer boats, and operate cranes, all in a very hands-on and creative way. The experience is further enhanced by a conveyor belt system with different gates and elements, a small “hurricane” water feature, and a slate board where kids can draw islands using water pens. These water play stations are incredibly fun and encourage experimentation. The second floor offers even more to explore. There is a large climbing structure, a train play area, a sand pit, and a small theater where children can sell tickets, dress up in costumes, and plan their own performances — complete with lights, camera, and action. There are also cozy living-room-style play spaces, memory games, and many classic hands-on play activities. In addition, the museum features interactive supermarkets, a farm area to explore, and plenty of opportunities for crafting and painting. Various role-playing setups throughout the museum encourage creativity, imagination, and social interaction. With such a wide variety of activities, kids can easily spend hours here without getting bored. That said, it can get quite busy, especially during peak times. With many children around, parents may need to keep a closer eye on things. Still, the overall experience is absolutely worth it. Overall, this is a fantastic place — creative, interactive, safe, and thoughtfully designed. Highly recommended for families with young children!

Google
Fun for all ages!! My children were 16 months old and 5 years old. Definitely a place children could/would want to spend all day at. Bottom level is a water zone (bring extra clothes JUST in case). My toddler was not big enough for this area, but my 5 year old loved all the STEM activities. Middle level has a bunch of different zones which includes publix, fort zone, fire station, farm station, theater station, hospital/ambulance, building zone, arts and crafts zone, and more. The top level is their dinosaur zone. FL residents are $20, but look online due to them having deals for seniors, military members, and even EBT/WIC holders.

Such an excellent children's museum!! This is such a well cared for and detailed museum for all ages. Parking is a breeze with the attached garage. The membership pays for itself after your first revisit. Very pleased with this membership.

Great place for kids ! A bit hectic when school field trip student run crazy. We’ve gone very early or late afternoon to avoid issues . Other than that we have a membership and go often. Good location. Plenty of affordable parking.

Glazer's Children Museum is a great venue to take your children to if you're ever in the heart of downtown Tampa, Florida. It's in a great location, sitting between the Tampa-Hillsborough Public Library, Tampa Museum of Art, and the Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park. So while making the Glazer's Museum the main event, you can take your children to the park or along the Tampa Riverwalk afterwards. With the William F Poe (Poe) Parking Garage conveniently located next to it, you can enjoy a relatively hassle-free drive to the venue. You pay for the parking up front. While there is no parking fee waive with the museum, you're spending approximately $3 an hour for parking that has overhead protection and is fairly secured. Like most other children's museums around the nation, Glazer's is suited for toddlers to children approximately 5 years of age. The themes and areas may not necessarily be appealing to anyone older than that. And like most other children's museums, the areas and "exhibits" are centered around the aspects of daily life (such as supermarkets, doctors, veterinarians, farms, etc.) With that being said, the Glazer's Children Museum is a spacious three-stories in size. I came here with my youngest on a Saturday, and while there was a steady stream of families through the venue, I never felt too cramped or crowded. On the first floor, you'll find a small store along with a food court area. There is also a rather large elevator to accommodate multiple families with strollers which is quite nice. It is also where you will find the first museum area/exhibit. It is a sizeable water exhibit so the kids naturally gravitate toward it. Prepare to get wet, but have no fear they do provide a limited number of splash bibs! There is also a set of stairs that ranges all the levels of the museum, if you don't want to use the elevator. What immediately stands out with the Glazer's Children Museum over most other children's museums is the hanging "climber" (essentially a transparent maze of various level platforms that your child can safely navigate through) and a section on the second floor, aptly named "Forts" (this is where your kids can essentially play and build forts from the usual household furniture and furnishings. The third floor is dedicated to their dinosaur/Triceratops exhibits. It's actually pretty cool if you find yourself geeking out over dinos. Also with the reciprocal membership from another venue, admission to Glazer's in the month of October was entirely free. Overall, a great place to visit at least once with your young children!

Google
The Glazer Children’s Museum in Tampa is a fantastic spot for younger kids to play, explore, and learn. The exhibits are super interactive, our favorite was the water play area and the pretend grocery store. Everything is hands-on and designed to spark creativity and imagination. The museum is clean, well-organized, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It’s best suited for kids under 9, and there’s plenty to keep them busy for hours. The location is great too, right by the Riverwalk and a park where you can continue the fun outside. It’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in Tampa with little ones. Admission fees are a bit pricey for what they offer but we had a great time and will absolutely be coming back!

Yelp
This is the best children's museum we've been to. It has multiple things for all age ranges. My 5 yr old and 9 yr old both enjoyed doing their own things there. We spent 2 hours easily and they struggle to do the same activity for more than an hr. I thought the price was high- 2 adults + 2 children was $100 but once we got into the exhibits I realized it was worth it. The people working there were nice although I didn't see any museum attendees other than at the front desk. It was clean. Everything was working and looked to be in good shape. There wasn't much to the top floor dinosaur exhibit other than a large dinosaur replica. It was kinda a waste of space but a good place to end the museum trip with. Plenty of street parking and nearby garage parking also. I also appreciated that the museum entry is for all day so you can leave and come back if needed.

Yelp
Amazing place to take the kids. If you have any other city museum membership you could get discounted ticket at this location. Very enjoyable specially for kids under 10. So many different sections - food market, theater, veterinary, space , build your own tent, arts & craft sections, water play. We spend good 3 hours at this location and kids still did not want to leave. Very well maintained and friendly staff

Yelp
First time at this museum and WoW! A very underwhelming museum lots of space and not enough exhibits! At least 50% of everything here is broken! The kids spent most of the time on the second floor playing with the vet, doctor, grocery store, ice cream shop, and the fire department play areas. I tried to interact with some of the learning things in this same area, but the interactive levers knobs and everything else were broken in this area. The kids did have fun in the acting area changing different outfits behind the curtain, the newer Forts exhibit was a let down, again wasted space. The water table, however cool the plastic floating pieces used to channel the water float away and the pieces to block or channel water flow for learning purposes doesn't work and is also broken. I looked at my wife and I said, the Gainesville Museum is half the size of this museum, but has more stuff that isn't broken. Upon leaving my kids were excited to see what the gift shop offered, but were sad to find a small sad little "trolley closet cart" for the gift shop. This is a huge afterthought given the size of this museum and what it could offer. A small café was also underwhelming but decently priced. **Overall. Not too impressed with this museum. I wish it had more to offer. Just a single dinosaur exhibit is also a waste of space on the 3rd floor they could add so much more and move the dinosaur exhibit to the first floor.

Yelp
Fun museum for kids 6 and younger. Our older kids enjoyed the climbing space but other than that not much for them. My little one had a blast. There are plenty of interactive spaces but they also feel like you do it once it is not worth coming back unless you have a 1-3yr old. We had a free pass due to reciprocity with our Dali Museum passes for the month of August. Otherwise I don't think I would make the drive from Orlando. It is clean, plenty of hand sanitizing spaces and kid friendly bathrooms. There is one main elevator which is very slow and a bit chaotic with kids and parents jostling for a spot. Park your stroller downstairs if possible and use the stairs if you can and don't want to spend a long time waiting for the elevator.

Yelp
Our charter service brings thousands of school age children to experience the awesomeness of the Glazer Children's Museum! Everyone is excited to go and even more so after the trip! If you haven't been, take your kids! Grand kids too!

Yelp
Nice little children's museum for a rainy day activity. Some of the interactive areas are a bit small so it can get a bit chaotic when there are a lot of kids there all at once. The pretend grocery store, restaurants, farm, doctors office, and fire stations offer lots of little activities. The dinosaur exhibit on the 3rd floor will be a hit for any Dino lovers. The water area also offers lots of fun interactive experience as well. I do wish they would keep their hand sanitizers refilled though. It was tough to track one down that still had some left so make sure to BYOS. We were lucky to snag a street parking spot but there weren't many of them. There is a parking garage next door though.

Yelp
This is a nice Children's museum. There's a variety of stimulating activities from a giant climbing tree to theater to a hospital with a CT scanner. They can go shopping at Publix and farming. They can go dig up a dinosaur. They can steer a ship through water as the rain comes down. My daughter had a great time. There are some things that are broken and need attention/mending. The Publix area needs more shopping carts and more food for sure and they need to have staff there to ensure kids put things back. It's basically a mess there. Overall this is a fun kids museum to spend a few hours (we were here about 3 total including a lunch break). I would come back.

Yelp
Fantastic Experience - A Must-Visit for Families! We had such a great time at Glazer Children's Museum! My kids had an absolute blast exploring all the exhibits and activities--it's the kind of place where learning and fun go hand in hand. The staff was wonderful--engaged, friendly, and clearly passionate about creating a great experience for the kids. I'd definitely recommend arriving early--it gets busy fast, and for good reason! It's a popular spot, and once you're inside, you'll see why. Everything is thoughtfully designed to spark curiosity and creativity. A fantastic place to spend the day with your little ones--we'll absolutely be back!

Lucie S.

Yelp
Our family loves all the wonderful activities and the fact that many of the activity rooms change thus bringing us back for each new event! 5 stars on museum! Unfortunately the food is ! The kids won't even eat it! We always make a point of eating before or after the museum! Maybe Glazer restaurant should visit the FL Aquarium...even during their current construction where the restaurant is closed they have good food.

Fayth A.

Yelp
Really loved the open floor plan on the first floor. Made it great to let kiddos run around while being able to keep a decent eye on them! Three floor of great activities for all different kinds of interests! Loved how there were employees spread out being helpful and watching kids. I felt very safe letting my kids run around a play! I'm only giving it 4 stars because one of my children is wheelchair bound and there weren't a lot of wheelchair accessible options but we made it work!
google avatar

Eugene Z.

Yelp
The GCM is a very nice place to bring a young one for an afternoon. There are a decent amount of activities. Some of the places are for recommended 5+ so do your research beforehand!

Yelp
I've never been to the children's museum or was aware that there was nearby in downtown Tampa. Best parking is the garage next door, William Poe Parking. They charge via app or by your license plate. Parking was tight and full even though we arrived 10 minutes before opening. It's also parking for the art museum next door and the library. I would advise to come early for a good parking spot. Upon entrance, you'll notice the self serve food area and the first attraction is the water play area. There's also a climbing area but the steps were too steep for small children so we passed. Second floor had the stores, farms, and all you can think of. Third floor was closed so we didn't get to see the other attractions that were there. I don't know if it's always been that way or if they're remodeling but it was off limits. It was very busy, even going as they opened up but it was fun and there was plenty to do. I would definitely go again!
google avatar

Caitlin M.

Yelp
We were here on a rainy cool Saturday so it was extremely busy. But it was a great spot. The exhibits were really interactive. We especially loved the part of the Dino where you could draw your own, scan it, and have it show up in the projector. My kids are 3 and 6 and we'd return.
google avatar

Soraya K.

Yelp
Super fun kids museum with plenty of activities and exhibits that kids of all ages will love. All 3 of my kids had a blast here and didn't want to leave! We'll definitely be back soon. The Publix supermarket area was the cutest part in my opinion!
google avatar

Abel F.

Yelp
Fantastic children's museum with fun, interactive exhibits. Loved the "Big John" triceratops display and the assorted activities surrounding it. Plenty to do for a great price.
google avatar

Kelly Dues T.

Yelp
Water play on the first floor. Grocery shopping and pretend restaurants that are kids size on the second floor. Crafts section on the second floor. Cute set ups for book readings. 3rd floor is a dinosaur floor. The staff are sweet and animated with kids. Park in the garage behind it.
google avatar

Sasmin S.

Yelp
So many different experiences for every child! It was a ton of fun from pretending to be a fireman to running an ice cream parlor to getting groceries! Things were kept clean and tidy. There was a person who picked up at the supermarket area so that was nice.

Milianie D.

Yelp
It was awesome The only problem was every time my brother would play with something some kid would push him out the way and say it's mine and your employees just looked at them and rolled their eyes and walked away like how rude like someone way older than my little brother pushing him out the way making him fall on the floor like who hires their people like that but it was an overall great experience My brother had fun and I had fun even me being 15 years old and I don't really do much mostly I was doing like the like drawing activities or whatever I could do to like get out of like doing too much children stuff but I was mostly on my phone but overall it was a great experience I think my dad even enjoyed it even for him being in his old age
google avatar

Karimah H.

Yelp
Great museum for children. The first Tuesday of the month is free! There's so many things to do for every age. There's an area for nursing moms which is wonderful. Check out the new Big John exhibit which is the World's Largest Triceratops. You can park in the garage across the street or street parking.
google avatar

Yelp
What do you do when you fly in from Cali to celebrate your daughter's birthday only to be greeted by freezing temperatures and rainy weather??? YOU TAKE YOUR PARTY TO THE MUSEUM. It was unfortunate that I had to reschedule our Magic Kingdom day due to inclimate weather, but lucky for us to have found this place. There were 8 in our group, all different ages, and we all found something enjoyable to participate in. The parking was a bit challenging to find for outsiders but might be a little easier for locals. The museum: so many things to see and do and play with. The first floor has a snack bar, and to the right there is a large "splash pool" with a storm/ weather center. Second floor is where it's at. There is a leaf climbing area, a baseball area, a craft area, a building area, a play food area, a build your own airplane area, and a music area. For those who need something to do indoor, this place is definitely a must try... at least once.
google avatar

Kandi G.

Yelp
I expected more! Lol that may sound bad but the children's museum that I went to as a child in Boston had a lot more activities. My son had a blast so I'm happy that I took him. Most of the activities were concentrated on the second level. There were water activities and a photo booth on the first level. I don't believe they had a gift shop either.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a cute, decent-sized children's museum in downtown Tampa. I took my 4 and 6 year old, and they enjoyed 2 hours of indoor fun. Parking is at the pay structure next door. It's only $1 per hour, but that structure definitely makes me feel claustrophobic with its sharp and narrow turns. We paid 50% off because of our MOSI membership. I think I might have been a little disappointed to pay full fare (although if you become an annual member and can return multiple times over the year, it's probably a decent deal). A lot of the stuff they have is too young for my 6 year old, and the place was pretty crowded besides, so it's not a great deal at $16 per person unless you think you'll spend several hours there. There are a lot of exhibits and stations spread out over two floors. My kids loved the climbing area that "taught" about the water cycle (mostly they liked climbing the giant cloud/petals). My son loved the Lego area. My daughter enjoyed making a craft in the craft area and also making a paper airplane. I applaud the concept of the area dedicated to classic children's books, but I don't know how successfully they all translated to something that kids would actually want to do that would actually advance their reading skills. I won't lie. There was a funny smell around the boating area and around the craft area. They have hand sanitizer stations throughout, but there's a griminess to the place. Many exhibits were closed or poorly maintained. I'm not sure if that's just a casualty of the current labor shortages or poor management. Certainly, the workers I met seemed kind and enthusiastic about their area. But this was a place that I don't really need to visit again, even at half off.

Yelp
So, my son wanted to visit this museum right after watching the Blippi special when he visited the museum. This place has a strong nautical theme due to the port and that was pretty fun. To be honest, coming from Orlando, this museum definitely pales in comparison to the Science museum. This one museum is only two stories and has much more limited activities but my son did still enjoy it. Prices were reasonable.
google avatar

Kristina S.

Yelp
Took my grandson (1yr old) and he had a blast. I would recommend going during the week to avoid the crowd because it can get very crowded on the weekends.

Yelp
My husband did a search to see if there were any children's museums we could take our kids to while we were in the Clearwater area. We got tickets online and walked right in with our passes we printed out for a easy check in. The museum is huge and little ones can spend hours here if you let them ;) The exhibits keep the kids entertained and involves a whole lot of interactive play. Our six and three year olds loved playing grocery shopping, driving a fire truck, making pizza, using boats to float, etc. There are plenty of things to do and it can be fun for the adults too! This place was amazing with the CDC guidelines. We wore a mask the entire time we were there and constantly was going from one thing to the next with developmental activities for the kids to enjoy. It wasn't crowded when we went and the staff was constantly cleaning rotating different sections at a time. It was an energetic, fun, and safe afternoon!

Lidia M.

Yelp
Attractions are old. Some are unable. Really lacks variety for kids. Not baby inclusive. Overly priced for the poor experience.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the Glazer kid museum. Community heroes get a $2 discount( teachers, police, firefighters, army). We really enjoyed it and the kids could have stayed all day! For.some reason we thought there would be more to it! Nonetheless, it seems they may be growing! The bad: Many of the exhibits were either blocked off or weren't working!
google avatar

Candy C.

Yelp
What an awesome museum!!!! I really wished we had one this incredible at home. We spent 4 hours here and the kids didn't get to explore all the areas. There is something for kids if all ages. The water table play to learn of water movement and flow, to the dramatic play (supermarket aka Publix, farm, vet, hospital, ambulance, fire truck, fire station. To creative play, music, dance, building blocks, building vehicles, theatre, sand for ocean exploration, tent homes, and the incredible structural platform that is a blend of art and play for the kids. Then there is triceratops on the top level! I loved it here, will revisit when we are back in town.

Yelp
The Glazer Children's Museum had the Daniel Tiger Exhibit through Labor Day. Our boys love Daniel Tiger so we made the trip from Orlando to Tampa to pay it a visit. We absolutely loved the exhibit and the entire museum! Parking is across the street in a parking garage. It's $2 per hour is $8 for 24 hours. The garage has an elevator so is handicap accessible or easy for parents with strollers. The first floor of the museum includes a ginormous water table, little kiddie area perfect for small babies to crawl and explore and a little boat that little ones can pretend to drive. My boys LOVED the water table. The museum offers water resistant smocks to keep children dry. The second floor has a play kitchen, farm animals, pretend grocery store, fire station, ambulance, veterinarian, jungle gym and the Daniel Tiger exhibit! My boys were most excited for the Daniel Tiger exhibit which included interactive characters that talked after pulling a lever or pushing buttons, a juke box that played Daniel Tiger songs, the Tiger house, a story book sitting area. The kids could pretend to deliver mail too! Their second favorite area was the Publix grocery store with pretend shopping carts and all the food group represented. The staff even hosted a building blocks competition. Each family were provided blocks to build the tallest tower and there was a prize for the winning family. The Glazer Children's Museum was a lot of fun and we're glad we made the trek to Tampa. If we lived closer, we would definitely invest in an annual membership.

Yelp
This place is awesome! It's an amazingly fun place for kids to play. Each of the 3 levels contains fun activities for kids to explore and learn. I wish that I had something like this growing up. I took my 15 month old daughter for the first time this past Tuesday. On each first Tuesday of the month the whole family gets in free! On the first level there was a play area for little ones and a water sensory play zone. My daughter loved the little play area. It was not crowded and she looked comfortable exploring the area. This area may be ideal for ages 1-3 maybe, or if your child prefers to not be overstimulated. The second level contained a huge play area for kids, maybe ages 4 and up. There were pretend play area like a Publix play store, farm, and ice cream shop. My daughter enjoyed the ice cream shop and pizza parlor. It was very crowded, so she was not too comfortable here. The 3rd level is the dinosaur area, and it seemed pretty quiet, so my baby was not overstimulated here. She enjoyed playing in the little play area. The museum was very well kept, clean, and fun. We spent a good hour here, but I can imagine that with old kids the visit could be much longer. We parked at the connected garage and we paid $5 for 2 hours of parking. Next to the museum is the Curtis Hicks park, so we walked that and the riverwalk for a bit unlit the meter ran out. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves. I recommend checking out this museum, especially on the free first Tuesday of the month! Lastly, they partner with the Children's Board, so if you have a local Children's Board center in your area you should check if they do weekly activities hosted by the museum there.

Yelp
This place was great. You could spend hours here and still enjoy all the things. There is also a nice playground out front and a nice walk down the boardwalk.

Our son fully enjoyed his visit here! Loved the vision and sound area with pianos, kaleidoscope drawing with light was cool. My son favored the fire department and loved going down the pole from the top to bottom floor. The water area was a blast too! I loved the mini skyway bridge and my son loved the wfla news/storm set up. Great museum and so much for kids to do here to let there creativity and imagination grow! My only setback were the "clouds". I can't remember what it's called but it's platforms and netting for kids to climb high above and that set off my anxiety. I feared my son would find a ripped area in the net and fall out. So, if you're like me: don't let them climb in that area.

Yelp
Great place to take the kids. Lots of things for the kiddos to look at and do. Just make sure to take your hand sanitizer.

Yelp
My family visited the museum for Children's Board Free Tuesday. This occurs on the first of every month. Adults and children are able to get free admission. A donation is optional. This worked out great for my little family since my only child is 1. We had a fantastic time and particularly visited to attend the Daniel Tiger Exhibit. If your child is a fan, I highly recommend going. Everything is hands on and many cute photo ops. Masks are recommended and hand sanitizer stations are everywhere. I do wish Daniel Tiger made an appearance as I have seen posted on the museum's social networks but that happens randomly. Overall, it was a very nice place for us to spend an hour or two at. There are many exhibits to keep children of all ages engaged and entertained.

Yelp
This place really went downhill. I took my daughter about two years ago and was really impressed. However I went back with my daughter and son and was very disappointed. It was too busy and 1/3 of their exhibits were closed. The exhibits that were open, weren't working. They had a medical section and the x-ray wasn't working or another station. This was a huge disappointment. Additionally, they have a toy grocery store. It was picked over and all the shelves were barren so my kids couldn't play. The naples children museum has employees that restock it. They need more help to get it back on par with the naples children's museum

Yelp
Perfect place for small kids on a rainy day. The water area on the first floor is really creative and the big dino was cool too. Great value!

Yelp
The kids LOVE this place. It's a solid way to spend a couple of hours. We opted to buy a membership, which was the right call. It pays for itself after a couple of visits. The staff is always friendly and helpful. There is a small park right outside, which is a nice way to cap off a visit. The only drawback is that it gets CROWDED. Sometimes the various play areas get overwhelmed with kids. But when that's not the case it's a wonderful place to stand back and watch the kids explore and play with other kids.

Yelp
Why 4 stars? Because it's another place to keep our kid happy for an hour or two. --- --- --- Our weekends are basically centered around occupying our 19 month old these days. Lately, we seem to be on a tour of places like this where we can just put him down and let him run around aimlessly. This is a fine option for that. Most of the kids running around here were a bit older than him, but he seemed to have fun in plenty of the various rooms. The whole first floor was definitely geared more toward kids older than him, but he had plenty of fun on the second floor. We purchased our tickets online in advance, which I believe is required during COVID-19 times. Our registered time was to arrive anytime between 2p-3p and there was no time limit. Our son got really crabby at around the 90 minute mark, so that's when we headed out for the day. Fortunately, walking outside next door to run around in Curtis Hixon Park quickly turned around his temper tantrum. Our experience at the park almost made it seem as if Curtis Hixon was just an extension of the museum!

Yelp
Glazer museum is fun. Their free day on the 1st Tuesday of the month is great. My daughter loves going to Glazer. The first time we went was in December 2018. I'd say the museum has gotten less exciting and less and less interactive every year. There is so much empty space. The exhibits are cute but always seem unfinished. I also would like to note the staff at the Learn and Play program that partners with Glazer is very disrespectful to certain families that have been long time supporters. The director of Learn and Play Sarah Arias Steele discriminates and segregates families inappropriately. I question whether the staff has properly been trained on how to respectfully treat community families. Overall I think there are way more exciting programs and experiences for children around Tampa Bay other than the museum. If the museum could be revamped and filled with new exhibits it might be more exciting for families.

Yelp
Great for littles! The water play area is a big hit. The Big John dinosaur exhibit is pretty wild.

Yelp
This was our second time visiting Glazers Children's Museum. We visited around 11am on a midweek summer day. They were busy, but it wasn't over crowded. The areas and exhibits all appeared pretty clean and well maintained. I love that they change out an exhibit and this particular time it was a storybook exhibit and my kids loved it! They also changed the subway downstairs to a cafe called Creativity Cafe. They sold sandwiches, salads, chicken nuggets, grilled cheese, pizza, etc. they had a lot of kid friendly options. I was pretty pleased with this change because there wasn't much at subway my kids enjoyed. We can't wait to come back!

Yelp
As long as your kid can walk, they'll enjoy the museum! There are so many fun and interactive exhibits that even the parents will join in on the fun. We spent an entire morning here with our 17-month old and nearly all of us fell asleep on the drive back to the hotel because of the energy we spent at the museum. I loved how the exhibits showed how fun science can be! I recommend to come as early as you can since the exhibits do start to get a bit crowded as the day goes on. Parking is available in a garage that is a pretty short walk away, so be sure to bring your stroller. There is a space designated for stroller parking at the museum. There is also a little cafe at the museum entrance if you get hungry or need a pick me up!

Yelp
This children's museum has so much to offer growing little minds. Lots of hands on experiences such as grocery play, healthcare, fire fighter, water play and musical instruments. Currently during the Covid precautions this museum was requesting online registration prior to play and extra cleaning in between families with hand sanitizer at each station. All children as well as parents & staff were wearing masks and it was honestly the best experience we have ever had at the museum. It was not crowded at all and unlike previous visits, all of the play accessories were always put back where they are meant to be. The bathrooms were clean and every family was courteous providing others with plenty of space. Overall it was a great visit!

Yelp
One of my favorite children's museums in Florida. Fun activities for children under 10-12. The location is great right next to the river walk. If you live nearby I would recommend by the annual pass vs paying the daily rate which is kinda of expensive. The good thing is you can go back I think within 7 days an apply the admission rate you paid for the annual pass.

Yelp
I have to update my review now that the downstairs part is also open. Even though it's like a third of a floor, opening the downstairs part really makes a huge difference. Now, on the first floor, there is an area for the 3 and under crowd, a huge water table play station, and a "sandy" area. Can we all just agree that 3 and under should stay 3 and under? This isn't the museum's fault and it probably isn't worth the money to staff someone to watch this, but there is a young baby/toddler section so they don't get run over. My son almost got jumped on by children who looked over 5 years old in the mini ball pit. All the young children were just hanging out there barely moving and some older children came jumping. Maybe they were kids with younger siblings so the parents wanted them all in the same place, but it was in no way ideal. I'm still happy that they have this little section, I just wish it was policed more. The "sandy" area is pretty neat. It's not really sand, but more like super tiny rubber pieces. You don't have to worry about your kids being covered in the stuff. The only reason we stayed out of that area is I'm sure my son would try to eat it. The giant water table is pretty cool too. They have outfit covers for kids to wear to try to stop them from getting soaking wet, but there are few and disappear quickly. If you have a splasher it might be worth bringing your own poncho. I can say that because I have a million Yelp ponchos. On the weekend, upstairs can be quite chaotic. The Publix is a free for all where the kids are grabbing all the goods and one museum staffer is halfheartedly trying to reshelve them. However, the other areas, although somewhat crowded, never felt overly so. It may be that now that my son is walking I enjoyed it more because he could explore, but I definitely think for the price this place is worth five stars.

Yelp
Great way to spend time with your kids and tire them out if need be if you are in the Downtown Tampa area. I took my goddaughter who is 3years old and she absolutely loved it. $10 for kids, $15 for adults, which is kind of steep for an adult ticket since you can't utilize anything but I digress. It's an all day pass so you can leave the museum and come back once you are wearing the adult wrist band. It's basically 2 floors of interactive activities for kids from a Publix grocery, an International Travel Area, a Lego area, a medical office, pet shop, to a water/splash area. They provide a limited number of splash guards for the kids clothing. Only option to eat in the museum itself is a Subway located on the ground floor. It's getting 4 stars because of the adult pricing and I really think there need to be some hand sanitizer areas in each section of the play areas. I was constantly having to go to the bathroom to wash mine and my goddaughter hands until she was fed up. Lol. Will still recommend though.

Yelp
Definitely a museum for kids. Lots of kids activities and even some that I wanted to try like the paper airplane shooter. Half a day is enough. Downstairs was great to get some wildness out of our little one. Definitely made upstairs more manageable with him a little winded so we put him in the carrier and just walked with him. Such a great small children's museum in the middle of downtown. We spent a bunch of time playing on the drums. And watching the gear in our boys brain just a going.
