CPE – Culinary Pie Evaluators Independent Audit | Executive Summary
27th December 2025
The CPE independent evaluation panel conducted a structured quality assessment of the "Pepper Steak Pie" from Mr T's.
Assessment was performed using CPE's standardized scoring framework and in accordance with CPE Evaluation Protocols, including Clause 1.1 (Blind Tasting) and Clause 1.2 (Consumption within 10 minutes of receipt). Dr. Porkswordicus failed to comply with Clause 1.2, resulting in protocol breach and subsequent disqualification from weighted aggregation.
Swords vegetarian pie selection excluded their participation from core product evaluation.
Both assessments were retained for observational purposes only.
Pricing Assessment
Retailing at $10.30, the product achieved no uplift under CPE’s proprietary P2P (Price-to-Pie) metric
Weighted Scoring Model - Pastry / Structure (25%) · Lid (15%) · Filling (35%) · Appearance (15%) · P2P (10%)
Executive Verdict
The product demonstrated significant execution deficiencies across multiple assessment criteria. Critical structural failures were observed, attributed to suboptimal packaging methodology—loose stacking compromised pie integrity pre-consumption, resulting in widespread sogginess across base and structural components.
Lid performance was the sole redeeming factor, achieving consistent praise for texture (crispy, flaky) and adequate pepper seasoning. The Sweeper scored an amazing 9 for the lid so he must've received a top echelon pie from the stack.
Filling quality proved divisive: while steak portions were deemed satisfactory where present, distribution was inconsistent, with multiple panelists reporting insufficient steak volume and questionable texture.
Flavour balance skewed toward excessive richness and grease, with inadequate seasoning noted by several evaluators.
Appearance scores reflected moderate presentation standards, though insufficient to offset fundamental structural and flavour deficiencies.

Recommendation
CPE strongly recommends immediate remediation of packaging protocols to prevent structural compromise during transport. Critical attention required for:
Moisture control systems (base integrity)
Filling composition transparency and consistency
Seasoning calibration (reduce grease, enhance pepper/salt balance)
Steak portion standardization and quality verification
Without substantive improvements to product integrity and flavour execution, Mr T's Pepper Steak Pie remains positioned in the lower-middle performance tier. The lid execution suggests potential for improvement if systemic issues are addressed.
