Everything You Need To Eat In London This Summer - London - The Infatuation

"Seize the day—and London’s best pastries—by going on the ultimate bakery crawl. Grab a coffee and cookie croissant from Kuro Coffee at 7am, then walk through Notting Hill’s pretty streets to Layla Bakery. Wait on the benches outside while they prep the counter, roll dough, and sing along to Frank Ocean. When they open at 8am, get as many things as you can carry—they sell out quickly." - daisy meager, jake missing, sinead cranna, heidi lauth beasley, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna, rianne shlebak, rianne shlebak, jake missing, sinead cranna, rianne shlebak, heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, sinead cranna, jake missing, daisy meager, sinead cranna, sinead cranna, jake missing

Things I Want to Try in London

I went for breakfast, got myself a chocolate chip and custard pain au chocolat and a hot chocolate. The pastry was divine! The hot chocolate was great,, nothing special. As I was about to leave, a lovely lady was telling me about the baked goods and convinced me to get without actually telling me to get it! She was excellent at selling it to me that I ended up buying two more things! If I’m back in London I would definitely come back!

I visited Notting Hill for the first time with my family in rainy and cloudy weather, and we saw the cozy and warm cafe in its design, and decided to go in. We did not expect such a high quality level of the hot drinks, such as coffee and hot chocolate, and especially, the amazing taste of the pastries we took!! Vanilla pastry, caramel pastry and a personal cheesecake that were amazing!! The staff is so helpful and inviting, working with true professionalism! Totally recommend and you should not miss them! I will come back again!☺️

I’ve been here many times and can say that the sourdough bread is great. On the other side the pastries are mediocre you can find better in Notting Hill but if you want a quick snack you should go for it.

Notting Hill Bakery is a really beautiful spot, with a lovely display of pastries and baked goods. The staff were super friendly too, which made for a welcoming experience. Unfortunately, I can only give 4 stars. We picked up a loaf and a focaccia, and both were quite disappointing. The focaccia didn’t seem like it was made with a traditional sourdough starter—it tasted more like instant-rising dough, which made it bland and lacking depth. It’s a nice place to stop by, but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it if you’re after really great bread. There are better bakeries in the area.

Nice little bakery with a broad variety on pastry. I tried the brownie and one of those round filled croissants. The brownie is perfect for chocolate-lovers who enjoy a really fudgy and chewy brownie. The round croissant was delicious, it had a vanilla custard and jam filling and was partly covered in white chocolate. It was amazing, it had a good size (not too big and therefore overwhelming) and a decent amount of filling.

I sometimes pop in this bakery/coffee shop when im in the area. I have always found the coffee to be of very good quality, pastry are very good also, plus the staff are always kind and helpful. A little pricy but in my opinion, worth it as as a treat on a nice day. I highly recommend.
