"Valley seafood option Laurel Point is set to close, reemerging in the next few months as ... a Daily Grill again. The two restaurants already share owners and the space was previously a Daily Grill, so it does make sense." - Farley Elliott

Wow - we were completely impressed with this hotel! It is really remarkable on a beautiful corner of the harbour with a one of a kind architecture style and design (feels like being in a museum). The room was surprisingly large, the bathroom is luxurious, and the view from the balcony was incredible. Some of the furniture and carpet has some wear but very minor considering the character of the hotel. In short, this is the perfect place for a romantic stay in a romantic town. ||Note the hotel is about 1/2 mile from the main part of the harbour / start of shops and restaurants on Government St. The walk is very easy and enjoyable. Empress is closer but we loved the strolls and honestly think this location is better.

Incredible stay! The room was very clean, spacious and beautiful. We upgraded to have a patio on the Erickson wing for $50 and it was well worth it. We drank our coffee watching planes take off in the morning. The staff were so friendly. Would highly recommend staying here.

I love the location of the hotel - easy and flat walking distance to downtown and the wharf, and a great view of the ever busy harbour, with planes, boats, taxis and ferries. Our room is a little outdated but was spacious and comfortable and the bathroom had plenty of room for both of our toiletries. I am not a fan of the shower over the bath. The staff were fantastic and managed to find us a room after arriving from a long haul flight quite early in the day. I would stay here again.

Google
This is an elegant hotel with a beautiful and convenient location on the harbour. The lobby and the rooms provide excellent views of the harbour. I particularly enjoyed the hotel's garden and the fact that the hotel entrance connects to the harbour walk.||We stayed in the older wing and, overall, our room was pleasant. The beds were small (European doubles), but extremely comfortable.|There were a couple of minor issues with cleanliness (the sheets on one of the beds had not been changed, the toilet was a little dirty). However, housekeeping did an excellent job of correcting these issues and I would stay here again.|***For those with sensitivities to smells and cleaners, they use a fairly strong cleaner on the windows. Once we had opened the window to the balcony and aired the room for half an hour, it cleared up.

Our stay at the Inn at Laurel Point far exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the Erickson Wing on an upper floor with a stunning harbor view — and the view alone was worth the trip. Watching the sunset from our spacious balcony was nothing short of epic. The room was exceptionally clean and generously sized, with a luxurious marble bathroom that felt like a spa. We appreciated the thoughtful touches like the in-room Nespresso machine and high-quality tea selection. The bed was very comfortable, and we loved the lounge chaise for relaxing with a view. While some of the furniture (like the carpet and headboards) showed slight signs of wear, it didn’t detract from the overall 5-star experience. Room service was a highlight — the food arrived hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The hotel’s location is ideal, with easy walking access to the Inner Harbour and Fisherman’s Wharf, or just a quick hop via water taxi. Parking was spacious and super convenient, especially if you’re catching the ferry to Port Angeles — it’s right nearby. A couple of things to note: the area can be a bit lively at night due to weddings and nearby harbor activity, usually quieting down by 11 p.m., which is expected for a resort-style hotel in a popular destination. Also, in the mornings, you might catch brief whiffs of gas from the seaplanes warming up and taking off — if you keep your sliding balcony door closed, the smell dissipates quickly and doesn’t linger. The L’Occitane bath products added an extra touch of luxury — such a nice detail that elevated the entire experience. We truly loved everything about our stay and only wish we had stayed longer. It was the best part of our recent family vacation. Based on our stay (and what other guests seem to agree on), we highly recommend treating yourself to a harbor-view room in the Erickson Wing. You will not regret it — we can’t wait to come back!

What a beautiful spot! The location is just stunning, and the rooms are super spacious the bathrooms are huge, which was such a nice surprise and adds luxury. We had breakfast at the restaurant, and it was absolutely delicious — from the rich, smooth coffee to the perfectly cooked omelette. The Noami made the experience even better. Everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly and genuinely seemed happy to be there, which created such a welcoming vibe. A special thank you to Richard at the front desk and Naomi at the restaurant, both went out of their way to make us feel special. There was also a lovely lady at the front desk, a super helpful concierge, and a wonderful hostess at the restaurant. I wish I’d kept track of everyone’s names, because they all made a lasting impression.

I came here with my wife and it's her first time in Victoria. We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is far enough from the hustle and bustle of the downtown but close enough -- 10 minute walk. The hotel also has a cafe and restaurant. Both were excellent and I recommend checking them out if you're in the area.

Google
We had a fantastic stay! The property is gorgeous, the rooms bright with stunning views, and the restaurant was delicious. The hotel's location is exceptional, giving you the chance to walk pretty much anywhere you would want to go! The BEST part: the staff! Everyone was super attentive and went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. They setup a tipi for our toddler and he absolutely LOVED it (he didn't want to leave the room during our whole stay). We will 100% come back!!

Yelp
My partner and I missed our ferry reservation and weren't able to return home after our camping trip. We were able to book this right away and drive over when we found it we were stuck on the island for another night. Looking from the exterior it looked decent. When we arrived there was plenty of space to park in the round about. We went in and was greeted kindly by the two attendants at the front desk. We were able to check in quickly and she offered us a room with a view for an extra $60. I decided to go with the upgrade. Self parking was $27 a night which was gated so it was secure. After lugging our bags up to the top floor of the new wing 4th floor. We went to see the beautiful view which was amazing. The room had two double beds. After showering we watched a bit of tv after finding out the tv had Chromecast. My partner and I had trouble sleeping all night as the ac unit was very loud and obnoxious, and we both were itching all over. We both suspected it was bug bites. We quickly got up and checked out to head back to ferries to line up for 5am. We have stayed in quite a few hotels and I would have to say this is one of the most uncomfortable stays we had. After coming home, my itchiness has resided after a hot shower, but my partner still had her bites all over her body and itched for a few days. Luckily we didn't bring whatever but us back home. I don't think we will be returning in the future.

Yelp
I stayed here during a work trip and I have no complaints! The room was quaint and clean, wi-fi was adequate, and the balcony view of the inner harbour was beautiful. Love the king bed. I went to the pool every night -- unfortunately no sauna or hot tub.. and also unfortunately the gym was renovating when I went. Staff provided a microwave at my request -- much appreciated! My only complaint is the water in the shower felt quite hard -- it felt drying on my skin and hair. The surrounding area of the hotel is really beautiful and there is a nice path to walk right outside the hotel. The conference room we stayed in was nice and the buffet and snack food provided was actually quite delicious. My favourite was the vegetable chips -- tell your admins to order it if they're booking the venue!! The hotel also provided my partner conference room bookings free of charge. It was great as she needed a space to work while I was at my work conference.

Yelp
Stayed here Easter Sunday. Pros : amazing location, beautiful views of the harbor. Amazing staff. Bathroom soaps were amazingly fragrant (tea tree). The Nespresso machine in the room was a nice touch. Where it lost stars was in the noise level and food. My kids wanted the sliders, which neither of them liked. Dry and under seasoned. I tried them and didn't care for them either. Neither finished their food. I was also surprised that the bill for the food didn't show the auto gratuity already added, just space for a tip and total, so when tipping 20%, the staff ended up with closer to a 40% tip. The second issue was the noise. When I mentioned it to the room service attendant they were very attentive, and offered to speak to the front desk and transfer my room to a quieter one, but at night with my kids it wasn't worth it to move. My issues were with the door seals. The seagulls could be heard from inside, and people 50 feet down the hallway, I could hear talking from inside my room. I slept with the TV on for background noise so I would hear less from the other patrons. I don't know. For 300 a night, and if i booked this room with my lady, this would have made a serious alteration to our evening. The hotel made up for this with a very attentive staff, a very concerned staff, and a nicely clean room. And of course the soap. That is the expectation of an expensive room though, so it hit my standard. I feel like the fixes to my issues are inexpensive: some weather stripping and a clearer receipt for room service, and maybe a bit more quality control in the kitchen. Again, maybe that's just room service, but for the price, I do expect excellence. Total cost after parking fee and the extra tip on the sliders brought me to just under 400 for the night. Pic of the view and the door seal (or lack of). You can see the light streaming from the balcony through the door from the hallway....

Yelp
We had the most wonderful time here. We stayed in the Erickson Wing and the view of the bay and sunsets was amazing. The sound of the waterfall below was also very nice. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We loved every minute of our stay and would highly recommend the hotel.

Joe K.

Yelp
Very conveniently located with views of the inner harbor and city. Coffee watching the boat and planes was a treat. The restaurant was very good. My salmon omelette was terrific.

Brad S.

Yelp
We stayed in the Erickson wing a couple weekends ago for my wife's birthday. Beautiful property. It's a boutique hotel managed by an estate. Super friendly staff. Fantastic location just a couple minutes walk from the Clipper. Great view of the harbor from our room. Room was beautifully set up with an amazing bathroom with a garden tub. Romance package was on point with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. Breakfast at the on-site restaurant was fantastic. Cheaper than the Fairmont and a better overall experience.

Healthy U.

Yelp
Location location location. This is a very nice hotel close to everything. Be sure to stay in the newer wing which has the best views.

Sanda B.

Yelp
The view of the harbor is spectacular but the hotel itself is run down and poorly maintained. Cigarette butts in the garden beds. Bird poop and moss growing on the deck. Dust hanging from the ceiling in the corridors. Worst of all rooms not made up until checkout and guests not told about this. An expensive hotel for zero service and zero amenities. Robin the maitre'd in the dining room is great and the food and drinks there are good but expensive

Brian B.

Yelp
I stayed here for several days. One of the things I loved was watching the ferry boats go by. Occasional sea life too. Great view fantastic ambience. You can take walks along the point with paths that hug the water, except where the ferry comes to port. It felt a little sketchy walking back to the hotel at nice along the dark paths near the water. So, it is better to come back along the streets at night, which has better lighting. The quality of rooms was ok. Well, a little better than ok, but I expected more for the price.

Yelp
This place is going through major, LOUD, and incredibly dusty renovation and they decided to continue booking rooms located practically IN the construction site. Honestly I'm waiting for them to ask us to wear hard hats in our room. No one warned us that the hotel is under major construction upon booking. We asked to be moved to the opposite side of the building or somewhere more quiet, and they moved us two doors down - to the other end of construction site. This almost feels like we're being punked. Even on Laurel Point's website, there's no real warning, they minimize the scope by calling it mere "lobby construction", claim that it only impacts the lobby and state, "Throughout our renewal, our guests will still benefit from our beautifully appointed guestrooms." There is nothing beautiful about the room(s) we were appointed at full price. So, because we weren't forewarned about this really poor experience, I hope to save someone's vacation by writing this review.

Yelp
Outstanding hotel. Beautiful, modern, spacious rooms. Ultra clean and comfy. Great service, quite friendly and efficient. Perfect location on the inner Harbour. Easy parking. We walked everywhere, and water taxis are right outside. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Just got back from our second stay at the Laurel Point. Note that this review is TIME SENSITIVE because the hotel is under construction. Their lobby, restaurant and bar are gone, so amenities are lacking. In all fairness, we were 100% notified of this in advance in the online property description, by email and by phone contact. Construction areas were, though, a bit more than expected, and we had to take an odd route to the elevator twice. You couldn't pick a better location for a hotel on the inner harbor. It's super easy to get to, and is walking distance from the museum, harbor, downtown shopping and restaurants. They have a paid parking lot within a minute of the hotel, plus valet parking. Views of the harbor are outstanding, and it's fun just to watch all the comings and goings of ships, ferries, float planes and other vehicles. Rooms are a decent size and have a bed, desk and sitting area with a couple of chairs. Bathroom was a bit on the small size, but workable. Everything was clean and fresh. Nothing looked worn, stained or in need of service. Staff is on point in every regard. They are friendly, knowledgeable and will happily attend to any need. One day we were heading out and it was raining. They asked if we had an umbrella (we didn't), then promptly procured a couple for our use. Everyone smiles when they run into you and ask how you are doing, or if you need anything. Great team. As I said, restaurant was under construction, so they had placed some tables in one of their meeting/conference rooms. They had a limited menu, but the food was well prepared and very good. My only complaint was the bar. I understand the construction part, but there is no excuse for lack of INVENTORY. For example, they had no sugar cubes to make an Old Fashioned, a pretty staple whiskey drink. They also had no tequila or Chambord. This has nothing to do with construction, just proper ordering. I would absolutely recommend this hotel, and when we're in Victoria again, we will stay here. I believe the construction will end some time in August 2019. At that time, kick another half-star on top of this review.

Yelp
Thank you to Melissa and the team at Laurel Point!! We visited last week for my boyfriend's 60th birthday and they made our stay very special! They brought up a bottle of bubbly and helped with my special order birthday cake. After a day of sightseeing, I emailed Melissa and the beautiful cake was delivered to our room just before we returned. We can't wait to come back and we know your remodeled lobby will be beautiful! Also the room and the service were excellent!

Brett B.

Yelp
The Inn at Laurel Point is an incredible hotel, surely worthy of its 4-star rating on Yelp. The grounds are well maintained and provide an incredible view of Victoria's inner harbor. You can watch the sunset or track seaplanes landing right from your balcony. The front desk staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Room #456 was an Erickson Wing Studio Suite and it was flawless. The room was very spacious with a king bed, large pull-out couch, and leather chair. The bathroom features marble counters and L'Occitane en Provence bath and body products.

Yelp
Best hotel decision I have made in years. The boyfriend and I decided on a last minute weekend getaway and chose Victoria. After doing some research, we discovered the deal with the Victoria Clipper from Seattle to Victoria. This hotel was offered as a package deal and after reading the reviews on here decided why not! We arrived earlier then our check in time and figured we would stop in and see if we could at least drop our bags off. To my surprise, they had our room ready and allowed us to check in early. We didn't have any solid plans on what we wanted to do while we were away, so figured we would ask the hotel desk staff for some recommendations and low and behold were completely blown away with the level of service we received. We were lucky enough to have James assist with checking us in and he went above and beyond to give personal recommendations for places to eat, and drink and have a great time while we were out. He even called up the restaurant he recommended to make sure they were still serving breakfast! The hotel staff personally went through and made a list of restaurants they recommend based on their own experiences and have everything laid out in order of category. Ask for the pamphlet at check in! The room was absolutely stunning. There's two wings, one is older, the other was added at a later date. There isn't any renovations being done like the other reviews say, but we stayed in the Erickson wing in an "Erickson Wing Studio Suite", and the room was everything you could ask for and more! The bed was extremely comfortable, the room was clean from head to toe and the view outside our room was gorgeous. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant or spend a ton of time there, but the walls weren't thin like other reviews said, and this hotel went above and beyond to make our experience everything I could have imagined and more. I look forward to our next stay out here in the summertime! Ask for James, and stay in the Erickson wing and you are guaranteed to have an amazing time!

Yelp
Just got back from a 3-day stay in Victoria at the Inn at Laurel Point where we had a King Studio in the new section. I travel a lot and this was a great hotel. I would definately go back. Here's why: The room itself was perfect -- trendy decor, huge bathroom and extremely tasteful and relaxing. The bed was super comfortable and the "triple" sheets and duvet made me want to stay in bed all day. The service and staff went out of their way to be helpful, the views from the balconey were beautiful. The location was terrific -- we were within a 15 minute walk from everything on our list to see. Their signature restaurant, although a bit pricey, was worth every cent - the breakfast offerings were unique and superbly executed. The brunch to my surprise was worth its price -- I would definatley go back.

Yelp
My 8-year-old daughter and I decided to take an impromptu visit to Victoria. I had asked around for a referral on where to stay ( I'm very particular when traveling with my daughter ) and the IALP was the one name that came up time after time. I typically am leery independent hotels, They have a tendency of being run down and remotely located. From the day before we arrived, I found the staff to be nothing but generous with insight on the city and local events. They are conveniently located by the clipper boat docks. The room was well furnished, up to date and had a great view. It's unique architectural style was reminiscent of a classic design and not the mammoth box's many hotels have gone to. In the end, a hotel is just a building with a bunch of rooms. It was the staff that made this stay incredible. When my daughter and I were going for a walk to explore the city the manager gave her a package of hand warmers to help with the cold. Who does that anymore? They offered to make reservations at a local tea house for my daughter when I mentioned she wanted to go to one. This goes beyond customer service directly to a group of friendly people. In a world of Airbnb's, Uber and "corporate rewards programs" it was a refreshing find such an oasis. I am certainly a customer for life.

George H.

Yelp
We enjoyed our visit very much. We appreciated the larger than ordinary bedroom and bathroom. Very clean and quiet, with a great view of the water just beyond the inner harbor. I particularly want to thank Erica, the agent at the front desk, who was charming and gracious in every interaction. She watched our luggage on our last day, offered refreshments, and invited us to take advantage of a limitless supply of hotel umbrellas.

Violet P.

Yelp
The Inn at Laurel Point is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The check in was quick and the staff very friendly. We loved our room in the Erickson Wing with the 2 sinks, separate shower from tub, and the sliding doors. I would recommend the Erickson Wing, I'm not sure about the other wing but it's worth paying extra for a nicer room. The view of the water from the large balcony was awesome. One evening the sunset was amazing. The service from all staff was pleasant and we thoroughly enjoyed a dinner at the hotel restaurant. One of my favourite additions of the hotel is the garden. It was quiet and perfect for our quaint wedding ceremony by the waterfall. I appreciated there was no cost from the hotel and we arranged our commissioner to meet as at the location. We were also a short walk to the registry to get our marriage license that morning. The location of the hotel was very convenient. We don't mind walking so it was a short 10 minute or so walk to the Parliment and museum. We also enjoyed walking to the wharf as well. It was a wonderful stay and I will definitely be back!

Dana S.

Yelp
This hotel has a very nice exterior and main lobby. The rooms are partially updated, with the room having some newer finishes but the bathrooms do not seem to have been updated for the most part. Other rooms may be more updated than the one we stayed in however. If you get a regular room do not expect to be able to have a soak in a tub at the end of the day as they are old and only about a foot deep, but I think they do have jacuzzi rooms if that is something you want. The view of the harbour is gorgeous but the balconies have no furniture. The bed in our room was not very comfortable in my opinion. They also asked us if we wanted housekeeping during our 5day stay, as that is something they have stopped doing since covid, so we asked that they come every other day or at minimum half way through our stay, but that didn't happen. There is a nice pool but no hot tub. Overall is an okay hotel, but expensive for what you get.

Tom B.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I have been here twice and have absolutely loved our stay both times. Friendly front desk, delicious room service food, and very reasonably priced. Without a doubt our favourite hotel in the city.

Tom T.

Yelp
Excellent hotel that allows dogs. Check-in was quick. The room was spotless, the bed comfortable and the surroundings very quiet. It's only a five-minute walk to downtown. They have a secure parking garage across the street. The staff was always very friendly.

Nico Diena P.

Yelp
Nice location for cocktails and enjoy vivid harbour views. Great service! Reasonable prices and happy hour too.

Mary K.

Yelp
Lovely place to stay! We stayed in the newer wing and had a gorgeous view in a spacious room w a Zen feel. Restaurant was quite good and the location is very walk able but out of the downtown enough so you feel like you've escaped to a peaceful place. Great service. We will come here again.

John H.

Yelp
My favourite hotel in Victoria. Location is right on the water. Underground secured parking with valet. $300 included valet and breakfast. Beautiful rooms with comfortable bed. Amazing pool. Restaurant views are relaxing and service is wonderful. All the staff are awesome at their job. Seriously they are doing so many things right and should be congratulated. Management are clearly doing a good job. This is the only hotel I will stay at in Victoria from now on.

William A.

Yelp
My son and I stayed here for a long weekend and loved it. It's a comfortable, nicely appointed hotel and we didn't touch our car once while we were here, we walked everywhere. The food was excellent, the staff were all very nice and truly seemed happy to work here. Their sustainability initiatives are impressive. We highly recommend it!

Mary M.

Yelp
Having a nice stay at the Inn. We came over to Victoria for the Holiday and didn't make plans for lodging. We just drove around and found this beauty. They gave us a better deal than the comparable hotels and it is clean, quiet with nice beds, furnishings and a a small balcony that has a serene view of the water. Rebecca at the desk is fabulous and exemplifies Customer Service.

Yelp
My wife and I have stayed here a number of times and it's high time I write a review! This hotel commandeers a fantastic spot on Laurel Point, which affords it about a 270 degree waterfront view. On one side you get the inbound and outbound seaplanes and ships, and sunset. On the other, you get the Empress and Government buildings, and inner harbour activity. The interior of the hotel is architecturally stylish with interesting Japanese art and sculpture that compels us to stop and look a bit. The two paintings in our suite this last trip were interesting and worth several gazes. Victoria is an easy city to walk and this Inn is a 10 minute stroll from the edge of downtown. If you choose to cab it, it's around $8 + tip to downtown. The city bus system is easy to use, and the front-desk people are happy to tell you how. That's my segue into saying the staff here is fantastic!! We've never run into a bad attitude or incompetence, ever. Either management is really, really excellent at finding good people, or this place somehow magically attracts them (the hotel has a very peaceful, positive vibe for those who can sense such things.) You can read about free parking, restaurant, etc. from other reviews, but I have to say the cleanliness is unsurpassed in other big hotels I've encountered. The rooms are well-appointed and beautiful, and hot beverage drinkers will appreciate the steel water-pot and ceramic cup service in-suite. All in all, this inn is fantastic, which keeps drawing us back!

Abigail H.

Yelp
While visiting Victoria for the first time, my husband found this hotel through Trip Advisor. We found it right away and they allowed us to check in a bit early. We stayed in the Erickson wing which is the newer wing and we are sure glad we did. Everything was just gorgeous and the view from our patio was amazing. The room was clean, beautifully decorated, and included a large patio with two chairs. We were able to watch the sunset which was the highlight of our stay there. We would definitely go back and stay here, plus the price wasn't bad at all! If you check in on Yelp, they so send up chocolate to your room, but it was a little disappointing. Otherwise we were very pleased!!

Adam R.

Yelp
Stayed one night at this lovely harbour-front hotel. Decent room, with a king sized bed and an amazing view of Victoria's harbour were all definitely worth the price point. The staff was excellent, professional and quick to check us in and out, room service was spot on, and our valets were very quick with the car. I'm really looking forward to staying here again on my next trip to Victoria!

Heather S.

Yelp
I think we found our go-to accommodation in Victoria. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean with a view of the Parliament. The parking structure was near and so easy to get in and out of the garage. Location wise, you could actually walk to the Parliament building or to the Empress to have tea time and not break a sweat. There are a few amenities missing that should have been available especially for the price we paid for, but compared to other accommodations in Victoria, we felt we got most of our money's worth by staying here.

John P.

Yelp
Great room My wife and I tend to choose boutique, smaller hotels but our travel agent strongly recommended this one. One reason being that we insisted on having A/C, which many hotels here do not have. Upon arrival, were not wowed, since this really is a convention hotel. There were rooms and tables set up everywhere to handle large group meals. However, 36 hours later have not yet seen the first name tag! Room is phenomenal. One of largest we have ever had, and we have been to a lot of fine places. Nicely decorated, including a lot of pottery and glass, as well as art that doesn't look like its identical in every room. A very unusual touch is the native artwork in glass cabinet between the front doors to our room and next door. Big bedside tables. Blackout drapes and shades. Largest hotelroom patio we've seen in a while also. Room for both lounge and chair, plus room to move around. And killer sunset views. (We are in the newer (Erickson) wing) Beautiful and enormous bathroom, completely covered in pinkish marble with huge counter with two sinks. Separate large tub and shower. Tons of closet and drawer space. a/c works great, the place is very quiet, and we are very happy. Valets/bellmen are very friendly and helpful. Convenient location. Gym is a joke, it's so small, but does have bike, treadmill and elliptical. Can highly recommend this hotel.

Yelp
We got married here in 2014, so I should have reviewed the Inn at Laurel Point much sooner. I can't say enough accolades about the fabulous service we received. Before I even committed to book the Inn for our wedding, I met with Louise Higgins (event co-ordinator) to tour the facility and one of their hotel rooms. I was looking for something very specific in a wedding venue, and as soon as I toured the Inn I knew it was the perfect location. I started planning a year in advance of our wedding date; originally, we had picked March 22, 2014 for our wedding but that date was already booked so we decided on March 29th. From that moment of signing on the dotted line, the planning and communication with the Inn couldn't have been better. There are no bridal websites or message boards that could possibly answer all the questions, and Louise was more than patient in answering my questions and suggesting possibilities to me. Throughout the planning, we met at the venue to discuss the logistics of the day as well as the menu tasting. Their own Chef Ito presented a sampling of one of their banquet menus and my then husband-to-be and I were blown away. Their banquet menus are anything BUT typical and truly dazzled our tastebuds. We even made some additions, including a custom order of baked macaroni and cheese, to which all guests raved about. Each of the wedding banquet menus include pastries and desserts (not a wedding cake), and since we were so impressed with their sweets selection we opted to forgo a wedding cake. BUT - I did surprise my husband with a custom designed Seattle Seahawks mini wedding cake to which their pastry chef did an outstanding job. It made for a really special memory, and one of my favourite wedding photos of me presenting the cake to my new husband. The venue itself is stunningly gorgeous - even though we opted for an indoor ceremony in their terrace ballroom, the glass walls and ceiling provided beautiful lighting as well as a stunning back drop of the outer harbor for our ceremony. We cannot thank the Inn enough for helping us plan our wedding day with us, and for being the perfect setting to start creating memories as a newly married couple!

Yelp
We recently had our wedding here, and I have to say that the service could not have been better. Such friendly and helpful staff. We were incredibly taken care of, down to the last detail. I stopped stressing over the wedding as soon as we checked in, it was wonderful. We bought the hotel's elopement package and stayed in their largest suite. Wow - every view was amazing. The master bathroom was incredibly (with a jacuzzi!), and a bidet. Honestly, I didn't know how to process the bidet, but I did take a picture of it. The bedroom was large and had the most comfortable bed. The package included the cake (adorable and yummy), the flowers (beautiful), dinner at Aura (fabulous), breakfast in bed (delish), and the marriage commissioner. On the day of, they set up the wedding on the balcony (which included chairs, a signing table, a table for drinks, and the cake). Outside of getting dressed for the occasion, we barely had to do a thing. Ashley, the hotel's event manager, was incredibly helpful and attentive. My husband was the one who dealt with her primarily, but he has nothing but great things to say. We also had our wedding guests stay at the hotel, and ALL of them had a wonderful experience. We were all in the Erickson wing, and everyone loved their rooms. I'm so happy that we found a place that was able to provide our loved ones with such a comfortable, and even luxurious stay. I am definitely looking forward to staying here again.

Yelp
We stayed at the Inn at Laurel Point on the night of September 5 2020 and were extremely disappointed. This hotel has gone downhill and sadly management doesn't seem to care at all. We stayed here in 2016 and had a positive experience. I specifically booked this hotel because of our good experience in the past. However this time was a totally different ball game. Our first room was dirty, with grass and dog hair on the floor, hair on the bed, and a dirty toilet. We were moved to a different room, and we were so relieved to be out of the first room and into a seemingly clean room, that we didn't check things over before leaving to go sight seeing around town. When we returned late at night to go to sleep, we realized that the bed was broken. Actually broken. The mattress was completely caved in. We didn't sleep at all. In addition, we noticed that the toilet was loose and jiggling around. Curtains were partially unhooked and missing blackout liner. Paintings were hanging crooked. Finally, the cherry on the top of this amazing ice cream sundae, I was so cold from the air-conditioning system (that ran even though I turned it off) that I decided to use one of the bath robes provided by the hotel. I opened it up to discover that it was dirty. I'll let you use your imagination on that one. Overall a terrible night. What made it really sad for us, was that when we brought the issues to the attention of the front desk as we were checking out, all they did was insincerely apologize (it sounded very scripted) and reimbursed our parking. The manager would not even look me in the eye. I asked if they could do something else for us (refund? Upgrade?) but they went silent. They said someone from the hotel would reach out to us to try to make things right. That never happened. We won't be back and we don't recommend staying here unless you want an uncertain experience, a tenuous sleep and potentially unsanitary conditions. What a shame! I think the head hotelier even won a management award for this hotel. Can't understand why.

Yelp
We stayed here some a couple years ago and they gave us a free upgrade the the bridal suite (nice hot tub) because it wasn't being used! We loved this hotel which is very modern and next to Victoria's bay so we enjoyed watching the float planes take off and land from our deck. The noise was no bother with the doors and windows closed. We were also in walking distance to several shops and restaurants. Employees were nice and helpful. This is a pricey place but we were passing through Victoria and were only spending one night there. It is a great hotel with room service and delicious food! We would love to spend more time here!

Yelp
It's probably the best hotel I've stayed in that's at a very reasonable price. They have everything I needed and more. They even had a water kettle for tea and a big hair blow dryer. I loved it. Most hotels don't pay attention to details like this, which puts Laurel Point on top. The front desk receptionist is so friendly and very helpful. She was very genuine, it was very rare to encounter in the states, unfortunately. I will definitely return to visit Victoria again.

Yelp
I have mixed reviews about my stay. Upon arrival, I was greeted warmly and kindly, and service was prompt and efficient. My room had a most glorious view, and was simple and clean. I loved how it was a quick 10 min walk to my conference, and downtown, and free WiFi is always a plus. It's the small details however where this review shifts slightly downwards. To me details and completing an action are integral parts to successful customer service. Where quality for my dollar lacked was in housekeeping, and in-room dining. The second morning of my stay, much to the heartbreak of the addict in me I noticed the coffee and cream had not been replenished from the day before. I had to leave a note reminding them to replenish so that the following morning didn't start off the same way. Upon return to my room that third evening, I noticed the coffee replenished but my robe gone, taken away to clean I am certain, but no replacement given. That robe to a customer like me, its the cherry on top in any higher end hotel. In room dining was quick, efficient and the attendant extremely personal, but the fish and chips I ordered were terrible. Pasty batter, and soggy. It felt rushed and not cooked through. A terrible disappointment, leaving me hungry, and with no stores of convenience or snack shops close by, I was left feeling seriously dissatisfied. Some people these details may seem trivial, however at $144.00 a night, it's important. I was trained by some of the best for customer service, and it's always something I look for, and expect. I like my room, and loved my view, but I don't think I'll stay here again. #SMCamp

Yelp
I am writing a review for the Elopement Package. I worked with one of the Event Manager's at the Inn at Laurel Point setting up all the details for a party of 20 that was going to be staying at the Inn for 2 nights. The package included the top floor suite with sweeping views of Victoria's Inner Harbor, Wedding Cake prepared by the pastry chef on site, matching bathrobes, Marriage Commissioner, Dinner at the Aura. The Event Manager (Ashley) was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was patient and addressed all of my questions prior to the event and made sure everything was in place for our arrival. The Front Desk was extremely receptive and friendly and made us feel very welcome. The Food and Wait staff at the Aura were excellent. The Cake was big n tasty...Mmmmmmm. The recommendation for the Marriage Commissioner (Tami) was spot on and she made our ceremony special. Having the ceremony out on the outdoor deck of the suite was breathtaking (especially since the weather agreed with us and delivered sunny views of all of Victoria surrounding the Inner Harbor). I just can't say enough good things about all of the staff at the Inn at Laurel Point. I wish I could remember all of their names (Thanks Demetrie). They have definitely made a number of lifetime customers of our wedding party. In addition, all gratuities were part of the package (which took every single bit of the pressure off us)...I am still in shock at how much customer service is part of every fiber of the Inn at Laurel Point. They frankly put many of our highly rated hotels in the states to shame. Feel the need to elope...don't want to go to Sin City for some chinsy event. Definitely consider the elopement package here. You will not regret it.

Yelp
My wife and I stayed here recently and enjoyed it. We had one of the rooms facing the harbor with a small balcony. the view was great an overall it was great value for the money. We were looking for somewhere unique to stay and were satisfied with the inn at laurel point. All of the staff we talked to we're very friendly and helpful and the location was great, just a couple minute walk to the inner harbor. It was nice to be a bit down the street from the hustle of the empress and other sights, but still just a brief walk from everything. The only negative I can come up with it just that the hallways and rooms could use some minor updates- fresh paint, repairs to the chips on he casework, new grout in the bathroom. We will stay here on our next visit to Victoria

Yelp
Very friendly and courteous staff. I booked a room in the old wing, thinking it was in the modern looking/trendy new wing. I was a disappointed when I got there but the front desk upgraded us to the new wing for a discounted price. The room was gorgeous, the staff was amazing, the restaurant is delicious (though a little overpriced, as is most of Victoria). Everyone was accommodating and they are a dog friendly hotel so we were able to bring our little pooch with us. Also only a two minute walk from the Victoria Clipper terminal.

Yelp
I payed a lot for my room but I got a view not to the sea, like in the pictures, but to a little ugly brownish pond in the middle, I complained and they find me another room. Everyone was very nice and the hotel and the area it is are good but I think the hotel is overpriced. There's definitely nicer hotels at more acceptable prices.

Yelp
I came here for the long weekend and enjoyed my 3 day stay at the Inn. We were in one of the older, Laurel Wing rooms, but it looks like the furniture and bathroom have undergone some renovations so it didn't look too dated. The balcony is pretty tiny in that wing though, so if you want a huge balcony then book in the newer Erikson wing. Staff were all polite and friendly and our room was clean and comfortable. We saw a few setups for wedding receptions, which looked quite hospitable and nice. The downstairs restaurant, Aura, was fully booked when we were there, so we didn't have a chance to try it. There is a lot of food offerings in the vicinity though, so that wasn't a huge bother to us.

Yelp
We took the clipper, arrived in the morning, went to hotel to see if we could check in- we knew we likely couldn't but we left our bags there- they were very nice about it. We arrived back around 4 for a nap before dinner and we got into the room. It was a nice room, we had a very quiet corner room. Generally we were very happy. We couldn't get a late check out but again checked our bags with the front desk and left to enjoy the day. we picked our bags up again before grabbing an evening clipper ride home. Victoria is not a common trip but should we be back, I would stay there again, it was a lovely stay, decent price but very convieient, without being too noisy.

Yelp
First time stay this past weekend. The rooms are a little on the dated side in my opinion, but the bed was comfortable. The shower pressure about beat us to death though and there was no option to adjust the settings. Room service was HORRIBLE. We tried to order breakfast and was told it would be more than an hour and a half wait. So I said forget it - we could get ready and walk to a better place by then. Tried to just order coffee the next morning (thinking that would be quicker) and that took 50 minutes. JUST FOR COFFEE! And the room service personnel were rude on top of it. BUT - the staff at the front desk and housekeeping were wonderful and accommodating. I would have given them four stars if it wasn't for the above. We may give this place another shot - not sure. There are a lot of hotels to choose from on the island.

Yelp
Very close to the ferry terminals, which is a delight for the weary traveler. The accommodations themselves are basic but nice, and the staff are friendly. The restaurant is unremarkable, maybe even disappointing given how good food in Victoria generally is. While it's nice to be near the ferry terminal on the day you arrive or depart via ferry, unless you really like water taxis and braving the amazing winds around the harbour, somewhere closer to town, or at least one of the villages further out (Cook Street or Oak Bay, perhaps) is probably more enjoyable. The nightly parking isn't exceedingly-cheap and it's more interesting and reasonable to walk into town anyway. While you can very much get around by foot from the Inn, it's not quick. If you're bursting on the way back from a downtown pub, the walk can be quite damnable. I'd stay there again if I had a ferry departing early or arriving late, but otherwise would rather look elsewhere. Still, if you get a good deal, it can be a very fine place to stay.

Yelp
Terrific location, just minutes from the walk-off the Blackball Ferry. Much appreciated the really quiet, very clean, and quite spacious room. Our balcony, overlooking the Harbour, also had a superb view of that grand Empress Hotel. This is a very nice, classy, but not at all pretentious hotel.

Yelp
Harborview... sweet! Lobby & first floor were quite trendy... thought I was about to go into a fancy-spancy spot back in NYC. Located in the Inner Harbor area, very close to the night-view locations on the harbor. Beds comfy, free internet access if you have a laptop, good tea selection. Fridge not plugged in (but cold enough outside to put whatever you want out on the balcony and not go bad). Hallway carpeting a little worn out. Otherwise, room was everything you would expect of a 4-star hotel. The artwork on the walls of the room were a nice touch. Good desk space and nice round table to sit by the balcony as well.

Yelp
I loved our stay at the Laurel Point Inn. I stayed there over a year ago and had an absolutely enchanting time. Our guide book recommended that we spring for a room in the recently remodeled pavilion. It was a great suggestion and one I strongly affirm. Not cheap, but worth every penny. The view of the Fairmont Empress from the room and balcony were amazing. I was a bit concerned that it was far removed from the main town center, but not at all. It was a very pleasant walk to and from. If I return to Victoria, I will most definitely stay there. I may even request the same room! When I'm stressed, I think of that room, officially my safe space, and I feel better.
