Let's start with the good. The food and drinks were excellent. I have a Tropical Wave and a Irish Man in Belize, the latter being the best drink of the week in Hopkins! I opted for 4-course Lobster dinner. I am personally a lobster bisque foodie and this was my least favorite of the four courses. It almost seemed water-based and I am so used to the base being creamy with a deep lobster flavor... It was good, but not great. Second course, was indeed great, lobster caeser salad... Mmm mmm good, definitely the best course! My chosen main dish was lobster fettuccine. I am not a big fan of fettuccine, but my wife was back at the hotel sick and she wanted fettuccine, so I got the lobster and she got a take home bag of fettuccine. The lobster was huge, at least a pound of meat on it, quite delicious. For dessert, I chose the red lime cheesecake, very good, not sure where the red comes from, possible some sort of berry. I was really hoping to get at the Chef's Table, but the only day they have that open for singles or couples is on Friday and you need to reserve 72- hours in advance... So it was Friday, but no advanced call. It does look like a great experience. Chef Rob cooks a 7-course meal for the 10-place table -very cool, sad I missed the opportunity. Dining is partial inside and part on a deck, be sure to apply repellent on your legs if on the deck because the sand fleas below are aggressive and it itches a lot. View is great, right on the beach. Service was slow and honestly I think the bartender was thoroughly sauced. Prices are not as high as people say. The four course Lobster special was $135 BZD, so about $68 USD... Expensive for Hopkins, but for what it is, a pretty good deal.
