Hidden gem! We happened to see this small smallish, but classy restaurant as we were walking in old Colorado city. We decided to go there after visiting an art exhibit.
We were greeted by friendly staff and seated despite being early for our reservation. We were seated at a comfortable table around the corner from the bar area.
After looking at the menu, I ordered the Italian Valium (an Italian margarita that was delicious) while my husband had iced tea. We ordered garlic bread with marinara to share. My husband chose to have the pasta primavera (with a red sauce rather than the white shown on the menu). I wanted to have the Dat's Italian house salad, but ended up with the Caesar salad instead; luckily, no anchovies were added.
The plate of garlic bread smelled and looked delicious. The toasted bread was crispy on the outside and yet still soft inside. The grated cheese was very fresh. And my husband loved the marinara sauce.
His pasta Primavera in red sauce was full of fresh veggies, and he really enjoyed it. My salad was fresh and tasty, but next time I plan to order the house salad, as I am not a fan of Caesar dressing.
Everything was delicious, and the Service was friendly, polite, and fast. Dessert was offered, but we were too full. I took a picture of some of the dessert offerings on the way out and wished I'd had room for them.
