The best dumpling soup I've had in MA, I highly recommend it! The service is fast and friendly, and the restaurant is a great spot to hang out with family, friends, or your partner. I would definitely go back! ❤️

Stumbled upon this restaurant while visiting Lowell. The dumplings are so good. In fact, probably the best I've had. They're a nice size, cooked well and tasty. I will be back. Can't wait to try the soup dumplings.

Some of the yummiest freshest dumplings I’ve had in a long time 10/10, food was served quickly after we ordered. Friendly staff, great atmosphere. Will be back!

The soup dumplings and tofu rice are the best, and my daughter always orders the vegetable fried rice. The food options have always been excellent. The service is good and location easy to find.

The dumplings are fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked every time. The menu has a great variety, and everything I’ve tried has been delicious. Friendly service and quick preparation make it a spot I’ll definitely keep coming back to.

I drive 33 miles each way to Tasty Dumpling..Love the Beef Tendon soup. Ordered it to go..got home and this is what was in the soup..Disapointed..No Beef.

The vibes at this spot are on point. The food here is authentic and delicious. We got so much food. The portion sizes are big. The dumplings are big. Everything was big including the taste! The aunties were in the back hand making the dumplings!! I love that it's somewhat close. Worth driving the 30 mins to get these tasty treats. I absolutely love that I don't have to go all the way to Boston for great dumplings! ♥️

Super cute spot with delicious dumplings and noodles. We went on a holiday weekend and it was busy at lunch but we got a table easily. It was a Sunday so the street parking was free which was an added bonus. We ordered 4 types of dumplings and one mala noodle bowl for three people and it was way more than enough food with lots of leftovers. What we got was the mala hot pot noodles with beef, pork soup dumplings, and three sets of the regular dumplings: chicken and corn, beef and flat cabbage, and pork soup dumplings. All were a hit with the noodles and chicken and corn dumplings maybe getting the most top votes in a very close contest. The dumplings came fried except the soup dumplings. Not sure if you can order them unfried but we loved them despite usually being fans of steamed or boiled dumplings. They did them in a kind of unique way that wasn't too heavily fried and had sort of a decorative crisp that you probably have to see to understand, but it was excellent. This was a lot of food as the dumplings are a full meal serving. But leftovers are worth it! The only drawback is the place is a little noising for a small place. If eating in with someone hard of hearing maybe pick a quiet time or seek a quieter spot.

Shocked at the high review scores for this joint. We drove 40 minutes for medicore and low flavor noodles. Service was strict. Street parking expensive. Noisy street with ambulances blaring every 5 minutes. Lots of seating, but they are strict. The best item was the pork and cabbage pot stickers. My partner is Chinese, and she was shocked at the quality. We got fried rice to take home, and did not check it... When we got home, the quality was horrid. Panda Express looked and tasted better. Not worth a trip for noodles.

My number one restaurant. I've come here so many times since the opening and it's a staple for soup dumplings and fried dumplings with the lace coat. It's super affordable and there's a great variety of options. These guys know how to make a dumpling. It's the best eats!!!!

I did a to go order for the pork Xiao long bao (soup dumplings). I thought the price was a little steeper than other places I've been, but those are usually in Chinatowns so my perception might be a little skewed. The dumplings themselves were also bigger than what I'm used to, but the flavor was great. The dipping sauce was also delicious and paired perfectly with the dumplings!

Dumpling galore! We ordered takeout today -Shrimp Pork Chive Dumpling: tasty, flavorful but the filling looks smaller than it originally was and the price increased. -Chive Pocket: I think they changed how they make this. It had more flavor and was crispier before. I opened it in the car and it was already soft. Tasted completely different. -Beef Hot Pot: loved this! It hit the spot. Has beef slices, rice cake, tofu, bok choy, and noodles. Overall price went up but the quality went down quite a bit. 3 items came out to $45

Was so good. The hubs asked to go back the next day for lunch again since we'd be near by. I enjoyed the pan fried dumplings and my husband loved the general tso chicken. The service was quick and food came out just as fast during our visit. I can see why the place gets a good rating. The food is good. I've had soup dumplings in Chicago china town and it's been hard to find a great soup dumpling since. But I do appreciate the hand made dumplings and tender wrapper they use on their wontons we ate. They were perfect. Small quaint restaurant with cozy feel. This is a perfect stop during any cold day.

Ordered out because I wanted to try the soup dumplings. They taste decently good, but I'm from San Francisco so it's hard to compare to what I'm used to. I also tried the spicy mini hot pot. It tasted good, but I felt like something was missing. My boyfriend enjoyed the braised pork belly and egg over rice. I'd consider trying other menu items, but I'm not sure the price is worth it for some things like the potstickers...

A go to spot for a good comfort dumpling nearby. This place is usually always pretty quiet so it's easy to get a table and there's street parking. The restaurant is a little cold so if you're planning to come now during winter keep that in mind. They have a clean bathroom and not too many workers, the workers there are more quiet but they are nice and attentive. We almost always get the same order every time we go but this time we decided to add on the pork mini skewers. They were just meat on a toothpick so I wouldn't say it's worth it for $9 it was also a little dry. The hot n sour soup is decent, I wish it was a little thicker though. Never stray away from your usual cause it will not disappoint with the pork and napa potstickers. You can never go wrong with the crispy sides they are the best part. The xiaolongbaos are another must, I'm not always a fan but I love the soup on this one, it's a good combo of sweetness and warmth. My absolute favorite is the spicy mini hotpot, this is perfect to share with another person. Usually get the medium spice which is just a little sting but not too strong where it's overpowering. The noodle choice is perfect and everything works all together. Note the bokchoy comes in the half cut bunch (so one bundle is cut in half) rather than pieces and it has a lot of cabbage. I've tried some of the stir fry noodles and they weren't my favorite, nothing special and didn't add much to the meal. The prices of this place have definitely gone up in the years with the hotpot being $15 and dumplings being $13 and $14. The total for everything was $57 but with leftover pan fried dumplings it's always enjoyable. My sister and I love to come to this place together and would recommend with these orders!

Hands down the best dumplings both fried and traditional bao we've ever had. We always go here for them. Everyone in the restaurant order one or both kinds as well.

Good for quick afternoon lunch. Easy street parking. Beautiful day and great outside seating space, but some bothersome bees got me back inside. Food was fresh and staff was friendly.

The place is very small inside, and was understandably very busy on a Saturday afternoon! BUT, worth the wait...such a treat to have house-made dumplings. Everything was delicious, and made me wish we lived closer...but will definitely be thinking about this the next time we are in the area...

My girl and I were really craving some dim sum. There was nothing in my area but we found this cute place in Lowell. It was clean and decorated well with plenty of seating and good lighting. There was street parking and we found a spot right in front. We shared some chicken skewers to start and they were yummy & decently portioned. They gave us soy sauce with ginger and it was a great dip for the chicken. She got a green tea and I got a peach oolong. They were both bottled but very tasty. We each ate an order of pork soup dumplings and they were so good! Each one had a good size piece of seasoned pork and lots of broth inside, and the dough was well made and cooked perfect. We ate them all! I was still craving something crunchy and the server suggested the sesame balls so we gave them a try, and they were another great choice! Yummy little fried balls that were crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy with red bean paste on the inside. Everything was reasonably priced and the service was excellent. I will definitely return when I crave dim sum again.

I'm really torn about this place. The reviews are great and I wanted to give it a better rating but only one of the two of us was happy with what we got on this visit. I had the shrimp and pork dumplings stuffed with sticky rice, which were tasty. I wanted something else so ordered a side of white rice which was a big mistake -- it was clumpy rather than flaky as rice should be. My dining partner struggled with what to get -- I think she was imagining your typical Chinese restaurant fare, my bad for not prepping her -- and settled on a chicken, rice and vegetables dish. It came out room temperature so she sent it back to be heated. It came back hot but that didn't help; the bite-size chicken pieces were overcooked and rubbery, and the rice had no seasoning at all. It literally looked like white rice with chicken bits mixed in and a few rogue vegetables throughout. I don't get to Lowell often but I would return to try some of the other dishes, which looked good as I watched them served to other patrons -- dumplings, noodles, soups. It's a small place and there was a little bit of a wait for a table for two shortly before noon. They didn't want to seat us at the open table for four because it was the lunch rush. Fair, as there was a steady stream of folks coming in, so it seems to be a popular place. There are counters with high chairs but that wouldn't have been comfortable for us. Service was okay... the server was pleasant but rushed. My meal came out about 15 minutes after my companion's, not sure why. We walked over from the quilt museum so I can't comment on parking but it's in a not-too-busy part of town so I imagine it was fine.

Tasty Dumplings continues to stay strong. I've tried so many different dumpling restaurants recently and Tasty Dumplings has so far been the best. They're consistently good. They hire great staff and are friendly. It's a great visit here every time we drop in. They have other items on their menu but these dumplings are the star of the show here.

Tasty dumplings name best describes this place. It's a smaller place that knows Korean food. The kimchi, and pork dumplings are delicious. A touch of spice with tender steaming pork hit the spot. They are of a good size and you get a decent amount. The spicy hot pot was so good. It's is spicy but not over powering. The cabbage and bok choy is had a bit to it. The beef was tender and full of flavor.

Braised Beef noodle soup was alot of variety to choose from on the menu as well! Soup dumplings came out tasting great! Service and environment were good

Came here for some comfort food. The corn soup was great during a rainy day. The noodle soup was also delicious and the flavors were good. Not too salty which tends to happen with this dish. The braised beef rice dish was also similar in tasting. Also easy to eat and not too salty. They had a lot of traditional Chinese items. Would definitely come again and try their other dishes!

Loved the potstickers (pork, shrimp and chives) but the soup dumplings were both huge and amazing (pork and crab xiaolongbao). Service was friendly. Great place to stop before an event at Tsongas.

UPDATE: I am addicted. I've ordered the mala mini hotpot with beef EXTRA SPICY for 3 days in a row. That can't be good for my stomach... I can't help myself, their broth is just too good to resist!

The dumplings in all forms are excellent. The soup dumplings are surprising, a bit messy, but delicious. The service is a little strange. The waitress spilled some of the dipping sauce on the table and half wiped it up with a quick swipe of some napkins. That's the kind of atmosphere of the place - bare bones. But the dumplings are worth it! No liquor license. No glasses for your drink unless you ask for them.

I love this place! Has quickly become one of my favorites because of the soup dumplings, great service, and it's pretty easy to park and get to. The vibe is great inside and there's always people there eating. Will definitely be coming back!

Can't say enough about Tasty Dumpling. People used to HUGE American/Chinese food menus may be surprised by the extent of this menu; but what they do well they do VERY well. I go here at least once a month, whenever I'm craving Chinese food. Something about the preparation feels more authentic; and something about the ingredients feels fresher.

Thank you Tasty Dumplings for existing and serving up the best dumplings on the East Coast. I've been to you twice, had the pork soup dumplings and the Potsticker Treasure (a combo of all 8 of your homemade potsticker flavors) and the spicy mini hot pot. Everything was completely to die for. Not much more to say!!!

I've been here several times and both were great! Very authentic feeling restaurant, it's small and homey. The soup dumplings are the star of the show and rightfully so, they're soft, juicy and warm. There's a fun selection of drinks that I'd never heard of which was cool. The service is fast and attentive, the outdoor sitting is cute as long as you don't mind a couple bees, which we didn't. I don't really recommend the hot pot unless you already love hot pot. Wish they gave us more rice cakes. I will tell you to try the dessert though, there were these sesame rice balls that I would literally go back weekly to get if I could.

The dumplings are indeed quite tasty. They are really hand rolled to order. I would absolutely come back just for these. The general tsao chicken though, just was not my cup of tea. I thought the chicken would be breaded slightly if at all, but this is not. The sauce is kind of sweet and has no kick/spice to it.

Got takeout and the food was fabulous. The spring rolls, rice dish with veggies and best were the dumplings of course. Not greasy, tasted very fresh. Definitely recommend and will be back.

Too expensive for quality. Egg roll was not made fresh to order, and the scallion pancake was extremely oily without much flavor. Soup dumplings were fine.

I heard a lot of good things about this place and I was unimpressed after visiting. Tried the sampler potsticker and the presentation was not good. It felt like they were all pan fried and dumped outside down on a plate. They tastes doughy and the filling was just ok. Mala mini pot with fish was spicy and ok. Noodles with chicken had small pieces of chicken and was just ok. Service was good. There probably won't be a next visit to this place.

Remains one of the gems of the Lowell food scene. Fresh and flavorful pan fried noodles. Spicy beef skewers delicious. The dumplings are fresh with the flavors coming alive. Fast and efficient service. Simple decor but it is all about the food! Only took one picture... so fixated on the food!

This has become one of my favorite restaurants in the "outside Boston" area. Fantastic dumplings of all sorts, excellent service.. I really have no complaints. Branches of our family love to meet here now, and it isn't particularly located in the middle, it's just so damned good! See you there!

Great, great place! Small and can get busy. Son and I split the salad rolls which were good. I had the combo dumplings which were outstanding (though I think my favorite was the cuttlefish dumplings). We will be back.

WOWZA this was an amazing find. Fish dumplings: Holy moly their potstickers are good. They serve it with the crust connecting the dumplings and I love it. These dumplings really are legit. Filling and wrappers are both on point. XLB: The xiao long bao are also PLEASANTLY surprising. The wrappers are just the right thickness. Not too thick, but not so thin that they break when you try to pick them up. Also, full of hot soup. Not the least bit dry. Filling was great. I might have just found my favorite XLBs in Massachusetts. Chive Pockets: It's hard to find these! Really nice to be able to order them here. They were delicious and come out PIPING hot. This place is freakin' amazing. Not only do they serve their own niche with a lot of menu items you can't find elsewhere, but they do it WELL. Their XLB were the most impressive to me. Really really excellent. I'm so sad that I live far away from Lowell, but I yearn for the day I return so I can taste another tasty dumpling.

Excellent food and portions! The Chicken and vegetable stir-fry with noodles had this excellent smoked on the grill taste. Yummmm. The reason for the 3 rating, the dumplings were awesome too, but we asked for as an appetizer, these came out 10-15 minutes after our meals.

The dumplings are really excellent, however the ambiance is a hole in the wall cafe in China and the service is a bit odd. The waitress was very rushed in taking our order even though there were few other people there, but no one had any issues with our staying to talk for half an hour. Weird.

The name says it all folks; these dumplings are TASTY. After looking around the area to see what can satisfy our lunch hunger, we stumbled on this spot located in the corner. We were very impressed with the selection and options of different dumplings, noodles, and rice. It was exactly what we were craving. We observed next to us something that looked good and it was the spicy mini pot. The spicy mini pot was delicious, especially with fish. My partner and I had eyes wide open at the flavors soaked in by the fish fillets. We also loved everything that came with it and especially the clear sweet potato noodles. It is quite spicy though! We handled the medium spicy well, but wondered what the mild tasted like. Soup dumplings were a must to try. We got the crab and pork ones. My partner commented he loved how there was so much soup in these dumplings. I realized there was too much onion in there for me to eat them (I'm allergic to chunks of onion). From what i could try (after picking out onions from whatever remained), the soup was flavorful and I could see why my partner liked it so much. Guess that worked out for my partner, who was stuffed after having almost the whole basket. If we weren't stuffing our faces already, let me tell you about the giant dumplings on their appetizer menu. Although it may look like you're paying a lot for dumplings, when they come out you see why. We loved the crunchiness of the cabbage and pork potstickers. They were also GIANT. My partner gave up on chopsticks and at them with his hands. I thought these actually went very well with the vinegar ginger sauce that comes with the soup dumplings. Again it worked out my partner got most of the soup dumplings and I devoured most of the cabbage and pork pot stickers. We have friends living in Lowell and can't wait to bring them and try more next time!

the soup dumplings were pretty good.....but the worst service ever! the waitress was giving death stares at my whole family and was super rude and monotoned! Once we payed the bill the waitress requested a higher tip which was so rude and inappropriate especially after the way they acted!

First time going and we mostly came to check out the soup dumplings. Ended up also getting the shrimp, pork, and chive pan fried dumplings, sautéed pork intestines over rice, spicy mini beef hot pot, and braised beef shank soup. Food was delicious. Staff was super friendly. We'll be back soon!

Authentic Chinese food - pretty much everything I had here was great! Of course their dumplings are classic - crispy and huge. They have a special order that has each dumpling type, but we ordered the pork cabbage since we missed the special on the board. We also ordered pork xiao long bao since pork and crab wasn't ready yet. I also love the mini mala hot pot - great flavor! Contains vermicelli noodles, rice cakes, meat, bok choy, and tofu. The beef skewers were pieces of beef on toothpicks and had good mala seasoning since we opted for spicy. The pork belly rice really surprised me - super tender pork belly, egg, and rice is soaked through with rice. The braised beef shank noodle soup had good flavor too but I much prefer the dumplings and hot pot. Service is very nice and clean place.

Modern Asian restaurant specializing in dumplings, right in the center of Lowell. I was able to find parking right around the corner, which was convenient. One of the only places in the area I've been able to find soup dumplings that are tasty - yummy broth inside and dumplings had a thin skin. Beef noodle soup broth was average, but the beef was very tasty and tender. Spicy mini hot pot was spicy enough to make me sweat, big portion too with lots of variety inside.

I like the dumplings, very fresh and feel authentic. The pork belly rice has the exact flavor that I tried back in Asia couple years back. The server is very nice and friendly. The store look basic, doesn't have much decoration going on, but I will definitely come back for the food.

Was busy before the Fleet game but we were sat right away. Had the shrimp and vegetables stir fry rice noodles along with the pork soup dumplings and shrimp and pork regular dumplings. Everything came out hot and delicious. Highly recommend for a quiet bite to eat!

Life is Short. F....it up! Family, Flavor,Friends We started out with the scallion pancakes which light and perfectly fried. Next was the mini beef skewers. Then came the handmade dumplings. We got the special which was call treasurer dumplings, this was a good sampling of each flavor all very good. Next was the braised beef noodle soup. Very flavorful unique soup and beef and very tender melts in the mouth beef. We got the soup dumplings made to order. This place make the the dumplings dough the correct way- meaning even when it cools down they don't break. The soup in the dumplings had a clean flavor. The next item was the braised pork belly and egg rice bowl. So simple, so basic, so good, with the first bite it transports you back to your childhood - real authentic homemade dinner.

Super yummy! First time here. My husband and I kept saying "it's so good" every few bites. We had the pork belly with egg over rice and the soup dumplings. Highly recommend! Pro tip: Go early if you head there for lunch. We sat at 11:30am on a Saturday, no wait. 30 mins later it was packed with a line forming.

The well deserved five stars are going to ONLY be for the dumplings here along with a few of the appetizers. My caveat is that I'm NOT reviewing some of the other dishes, even though we have tried them and they are rather Americanized. You're here for "tasty dumplings" and it's what they do best, the rest should just be avoided altogether because it's nothing but filler. The ambiance is a mix of low lights, toy cars and a service window to the kitchen with a rather large patio outside for the warmer months to enjoy your jewel filled pouches. Service is extremely friendly although could be a bit more frequent. The night we were there recently, it was fairly busy and they only checked in like twice throughout the experience. But ba gawd, them dumplin's! I love the presentation where they are effectively flipped upside down from a fry pan with the dripped bits still crispy and attached to each individual morsel. I can't even narrow down an absolute favorite at this point. Given the complexity of savory and salty with the pork & shrimp, I think they take a small lead here. But even just the mixed vegetables have an insane amount of flavor in them. Our favorite appetizer is the vegetable spring rolls. The dipping sauce provided has a little kick to it, just don't go feeding it to the kids or you'll get a strange reaction. I also thoroughly enjoyed the vegetable heavy egg drop soup, filled with corn and peas within and not as eggy/oily as some places can be. For dessert, the six, cute & tiny sesame balls they serve up are a decadent way to end your stay. Go here for the dumplings, stay for the interesting decor and leave a jolly human, knowing you got some of the best there is outside of Boston. Lowell should be extremely proud of this place and their care with authenticity on the dumpling side. Don't be suckered in by ordering General Tso's or the fairly bland noodle dishes unless you have picky eaters with you, it's dumplings front and center, ALL DAY EVERY DAY!
