Highly recommend! First time in for a late lunch... great atmosphere, yacht rock hits playing in the background! Nice bar and the food was terrific! On game days, they have $1 shrimp and $1 wings... so I tried 2 sweet Asian wings/ 2 lemon pepper wings and 4 fried shrimp! All 3 were hits! Will bring my husband soon... this place is that good! Bread deserves a mention... I usually pass but these rolls ere very, very good! Enjoy!

Our 1st visit to Pompanos and it was worth the wait. The atmosphere was perfect, the servers were very attentive and the food from the gator bites to our flounder and shrimp was fresh and hot. The shrimp were huge. We will definitely be back on our visit to Corpus Christi from Beeville

Definitely will be back to this place 10/10🤩highly recommended.We ordered Stuff Crab Mushrooms and they were delicious has an appetizer.Then we each ordered the Shrimp Headed Boil Shrimp “WOW”the size of the shrimp were very jumbo.The seasonings that it had in it Garlic Butter,Cajun and Old Bay tasted so amazing😋that you didn’t even had to order any more butter in it.And the Snow Crabs were a good size and tasted delicious with the different garlic butter flavor they added in it.And let’s not forget the drinks😁they were sooo cold and tasty.They even added Tajin with salt and a lime 🍋‍🟩 in my drink! From the manager to the waitress that attended us was very professional! Thank you from Houston🙋🏻‍♀️

The all you can eat shrimp special on Monday was the best deep fried shrimp that I have ever had in my life! I was a little leary, but it was the lightest crispy crust on a delightfully large, perfectly cleaned piece if shrimp everytime! The mussel appetizer was terrific & vey flavorful! Their service is impeccable, they really perform as a team. The atmosphere was warm & inviting. Prices were amazingly inexpensive. I highly recommend!

First time here and it was great. Restaurant was super clean from the entrance to the bathrooms. Service was great, food was very well proportioned and seasoned just right. The mixed drinks was delicious and not too loaded, but not weak. Definitely will be back here for more.

Ordered " Jumbo" cheesesticks but when I received them, it was an order of 4 basic size mediocre flavored cheesesticks. Jumbo should not be in the name. It might be described as Jumbo if it were on the kids menu. $12 is not worth the quality or portion size.

Went here for dinner on our anniversary. Staff was wonderful and the food was worth every penny. We will definitely visit next time we are in Corpus Christi.

A coworker recommended this place to me. Im glad he shared his experience he had. The food was really good. My wife got a boil and she loved every bit of it. I had the flounder and shrimp. I definitely was not disappointed. The music played was very relaxing and upbeat. The whole set up was great. Our server was on point. She was very tentative. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful "Happy Hour" lunch today, Shrimp Cocktail, 2-Calamari's , Mussels, 2-Oyster Rockefeller's,. We're stuffed!!! Ms. Ruby waited on us and she's excellent! Kudos to the Chef and kitchen staff. We'll return again... Thank you... P.S. always very clean and organized in the dining area...

Pompano's Seafood House is a new(ish) seafood (duh) restaurant that I have been to a few times over the past year or so. Corpus is not lacking seafood establishments, but a lot of them are your typical cheap restaurants focusing on mostly fried food. Not this one (although it does have a good bit of fried as well)! From the outside, it doesn't look like much. But when you get inside you see that it is fairly upscale, and the menu is as well! I have enjoyed all of the food so far and the service has been great. I will say that the wait time is a bit long, but I am assuming it is attributed to the quality of food preparation. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for good quality seafood if visiting or in the area.

Server was very nice not as attentive but could be because they were new to the industry and they only had a few tables. Ambience was decent clean and simple layout. The food was mediocre at best my plate was soggy fried fish, a stuffed crab with little to no crab meat mostly under cooked corn meal. Also a stuffed shrimp which was slightly crispy on the outside but the interior was mush. The shrimp did appear to be cooked but I will find out if I get sick later. My spouse's crawfish had no seasoning I could not stomach it personally. It's sad to say but I could tell the quality of the fish and shellfish was good quality but the preparation was very lacking. I'm only give a one star so this will be noticed. Management must be sure to have quality ingredients be prepared correctly and not to diminish fresh quality seafood.

You get a lot of food for your money. The waitress was very nice and helpful. I am definitely going again.

Had a seafood boil here on Friday, it was so dry and terrible, couldn't believe how salty the food was . It was disgusting to say the least.

It's a restaurant that's a hidden secret I feel. The old bay edamame was so goooood. My friend and I both had the seafood boils and devoured them. Can't wait to go back!!

I was hesitant to visit Pompano's based on some mixed reviews that I saw online, but I decided to go ahead and give them a try. I am so glad that I wasn't discouraged because they had the best seafood boil that I've every tried. I got a combination of all of their seasonings and it was incredible. The staff was very nice both of the nights that I dined here. My only complaint is that they do not provided wet wipes which is kind of a must after eating a seafood boil, but my super kind waiter brought out some wipes that he had in the back. The restaurant is very open and has a typical seafood restaurant ambience. It was very clean. I would highly recommend Pompano's to others. 12/10

Went with a couple of friends. We were the only table seated at 1:30 on a Thursday afternoon. Another table came in twenty minutes later . The whole restaurant seating is open . The two top was sat right next to us . The food was lackluster, unimpressive. Blackened Drum was over done . The rice was straight out of a box . The seafood nachos had canned melted cheese. My friends had Cajun Boil and fried platter. Cajun Boil was good Fried Platter was not on par. The food seemed unauthentic. The server did not know the menu and came to the table half a dozen times to re check our order before placing. The two top next to us got really slow service and were talking about leaving, being only one of two tables in the restaurant. I try to only post positive reviews. I will not go to Pompano's again.

Food was meh. Nothing bad but nothing great. The fried fish and shrimp were crispy but bland. The batter on the fish came off easily too. Best part of the meal was the undoubtedly frozen french fries that were fried to crispy perfection. Service was good. The restaurant was damn near empty but for some reason they sat a table directly next to us. I don't think I would go back.

Great service, delish food. I recommend the boils. Crab legs were amazing. Highly recommend.

We were a party of 4. We ordered coconut . It was excellent! My brother a steak he said it was perfectly cooked. The rest of us had catfish and shrimp again everything was excellent. Our Server was Saul. He was perfect very attentive. Gave us the time to kid around among us. Then offered drinks Two had flavored margaritas on the rocks. Again Excellent. The place was very clean and nice We all left very satisfied. We will be back.

First off, we love the food and the atmosphere! George, the owner, is friendly and attentive to your needs. The bartenders Terra and Gabby complement each other and there's nothing that they won't do for you to keep you happy! I have never seen a wait person with a sad face in the place and on Wednesdays they have live country music. My wife and love their shrimp boil! They have the best blend of spices that makes it enjoyable.

I was visiting my hometown for the holiday and found this restaurant on Yelp. I told my family I would like to try it as it had great reviews and we typically have our go-to restaurants we patron for seafood. The restaurant has a cute vibe to it. Your typical seafood "sea/fishing" theme you see in most places. The lighting is a little dim so it creates a vibe...I guess. I would "recommend" (and I say that lightly) for family outings, date nights, or even solo dining. There is a fully stocked bar with bar seating and TVs. The hostesses are really great. Our family was seated and we were served by Jean (Jeanette). Her customer service was excellent! As a starter we got charbroiled oysters. I DO NOT recommend! They were supposed to be served in an herb butter sauce with cheese but instead they were doused with shredded cheese and lacked flavor. They were the worst oysters I have ever had! A little more butter and a lightly grated cheese would've been perfect. For my entree, I ordered stuffed shrimp with Brussels and a baked potato. The Brussels were over cooked and had a weird smell to them. They tasted very off! The stuffed shrimp was actually pretty great. My server recommended getting them broiled and she was spot on with the recommendation! The food was just okay but nothing great. I would've have maybe been open to returning but something pissed me off..... From the time we sat down up until after we were served our food I noticed a man with a hat going to the tables around us greeting customers and asking about their experience and if everything was okay. He did this to at least four tables to include people who arrived after we were seated. We were at the restaurant for about 1 hour and 45 minutes and not once did he approach us. I was disappointed to find out that it was the owner. He made eye contact with some of us from the table but not once did he approach us, but he kept staring and making eye contact with us. I would not have cared had it not been for him walking back and forth passing our table to get to go containers and checks for those tables around us. I will not be returning and I personally will not recommend this restaurant. But if you do choose to go, please ask for Jean's area. Top tier service!!!!!

We tried this restaurant for the first time because the reviews were great... not at all what we expected. We payed almost $200 for poor service and wrong food. Our food was wrong we ended up being charged and having to pay for the wrong order. Waitress did not give good service and the man walking around was just watching never offered to help fix anything til we were paying. We would've been fine with paying for good food and good service, but it was overall a bad experience.

I went to this new eatery with an Elite Yelper! The restaurant has two sides to it. Jean waited on us. She was excellent. She recommended several items and we purchased them all. We had charbroiled oysters. I don't recommend them. It was overloaded with grocery store cheese instead of grated high end cheese. We had friend shrimp which was great. We also had stuffed shrimp, grilled shrimp and talipia, and snow crab legs. The eatery had a vibe! I actually liked it. While the waitress was attentive, the owner wasn't kind. We watched him go to four tables, greet them and ask about their experience. He also grab items that they needed. Note, this restaurant wasn't packed! We were the 5th table. He locked eyes with me numerous times and never greeted us. This is so unprofessional. I will not return.

Service was very lacking, we got one of the seafood boils and it made both my husband and I sick with stomach symptoms for about two days after eating there. Expressed to staff our discontent with the food and nothing was resolved. The venue inside is really nice though.

Excellent seafood at a great price. Have had fried fish several times and each time it has been amazing. The service was good, our waitress checked on us regularly. Would recommend!

Went for HH on a Friday. The apps were 1/2 off along with beer and the Oysters! Everything was very good and the price was more than fair. Amber said she was new but did a great job. Great atmosphere as well. We will definitely be back to try other items. I highly recommend you check this place out.

Oh man! So gooood from drinks to apps to the main course we all enjoyed our food. Happy hour has great deals on the apps, and the sea bass course was delicious!

Arrived at Pompanos Seafood House and at the greeting station met Sisi who greeted me with a smile and guided me to a seat at the bar. Melissa is the bartender and got me a beer while I looked over the menu. I decided on the Crab Stuffed Mushrooms for an appetizer and the Seafood Stew for dinner. The mushrooms were very good and the parmesan crust made the dish. The Seafood Stew was solid and the tomato base was perfect for the dish while the vegetables were perfectly Al dente. For me I would have rather have the shrimp P/D and maybe a larger clam but overall a good stew.

Great margaritas. The seafood boils are delicious. The fried food was also delicious. The staff was great, but the bathroom not so much. Good thing we came for the food.

Wow, first time here and we were blown away! Incredibly fresh food at a very reasonable price. Our waitress Jean was outstanding! Can't wait to go back and try other delicious looking items on the menu!

Had the chance to finally try this spot out. I have to say I loved the environment, this place is very clean. The food was awesome, everything was very fresh. I would've gave it 5 stars but they were lacking staff, other than that the server was nice. The music they play here was AMAZING, total vibe. Will definitely be returning.

Had the blackened red and it was cooked to perfection, but then we went back a few weeks later and what a disappointment, I had the flounder plate, granted it came with 7 fillets but completely tasteless, rubbery, horrible, the Brussel sprouts also had no taste whatsoever, Wife ordered the stuffed crab and brussel sprouts and she said the same thing, no flavor and the crab was just ok, when a wait staff sees that you didn't eat your plate they should say something, I ate only two out of the seven fillets, one brussel sprout , wife ate one brussel sprout and only one of the stuffed crabs, the waitress just came over and said are you all finished, didn't even question why we both didn't eat our meals, Will not go back

The food was exceptional! I had the flounder and shrimp. It was so good already thinking about when will I have the opportunity to come back given I live out of town. The dirty rice and hush puppies were good as well. Even the tartar sauce was good. Definitely recommend this place!

Very disappointing. Music way too loud, AC way too cold. No utensils bright out with appetizers. 3 of our 4 meals were undercooked. Management did comp one of our meals that was so raw as to be inedible. On a positive note, the coconut shrimp was DELICIOUS!

Don't order the gumbo!! It's has the consistency of thick gravy!! Worst gumbo I've ever had, and I've ordered gumbo from Louisiana to Florida, all different, but all have a soup base. This was like sausage & gravy with shrimp!! Will not go back. Fried catfish was actually not bad.

Core memory unlocked!!! Ive never had to refuse a plate before in my life. The fries were amazing as w/ the shrimp and oysters, but when it came to the fish. You know, the thing you came to eat seafood for was terrible. Wow... My mother had got the same flounder plate. We've never had something so tasteless that we were actually impressed you can mess something up so bad. The flounder was tasteless and unseasoned w/ the texture of being freshly thawed out (imagine fried water, she thought she was going crazy till I said the same thing!). The fillet itself was all torn up like whomever prepared this plate just kept on dropping the fillet while frying it up. (picture below was what I was served w/o out touching it). The service itself was pretty good, though the music could be turned down a little bit. I don't know if they were just having an off day in the kitchen, but I won't be coming back to find out. My sister was the only one that seemed to enjoy what was in front of her (grilled salmon). This place costs too much to have to pay for a plate of food this bad. I had to go to another place just to erase this experience. We've heard nothing but good hype about this place and have been wanting to try it out. Highly suggest this place gets avoided.

Highly recommend coming in if you're looking for yummy seafood. Best place we found in Corpus. Boils were affordable, full of flavor and good portions. They do have a happy hour as well.

1st visit. Selected this restaurant because of shrimp boil & it's locally owned (not a chain). Meals are great. Good service, reasonable priced, and OK ambiance. Details: my husband and I visited on a Sunday morning in October. Arrived at 11:15 AM, they open at 11 AM. No customers cars in the parking lot. Restaurant is located in a tiny shopping center with a fitness center and a dollar tree. We decided to wait a few minutes to enter since there were no other customers there Since this was our first visit, we were a little skeptical with no cars in the parking lot. At 11:30 am, we entered & one couple were seated and we were the second patrons in the door. The place was empty. We got seated after some one in the back noticed us standing around. The hostess showed up, was surprised to see is already seated. She was not at the hostess stand when we entered another. She approached us questioning if we needed help, as though she didn't know we were there to eat lunch. she offered to take our drink order which was water and a cocktail. A few minutes later, one of the female employees in the back loudly said "I don't know how to make a fucking Bloody Mary" At 11:45 our food order was taken and approximately 23 minutes later, our food was served. I did get a good bloody Mary by the way; tasty. The total cost $54 rounded off for one entrée/platter, one order of half pound shrimp boil no head. One beer and one bloody Mary. And the overhead Latin Pop music clashes with the coastal style of the restaurants interior design. Our waitress checked on us once after our food was served and the second time was giving us the check. And overall food makes up for the OK service and slightly annoying overhead music. Don't let the empty parking lot scare you. It's good food.

Overall the food and service was great. Restaurant was clean and styled modern. Our server was very attentive and always refilling our drink. Food was delicious. Appetizers- alligator bites. Lots of flavor, good amount of breading. Meal - mussel and clam boil - a little salty, but great flavor and lots of juices to dip everything in. Will definitely be back

I had a great experience at Pompanos. My food was delicious. When I go to a seafood restaurant, I like to order seafood. Not the alligator nor the mushrooms. It's a seafood restaurant and they do good seafood. I had lunch there and it was priced right. I'm definitely going back to try something else. Service was great. The food was DELICIOUS!!! Even though we ordered ToGo, it was still AWESOME!!! My fried shrimp and oysters were cooked perfectly, right amount of batter and tender. I opted for the seasoned vegetables instead of fries and they were perfectly seasoned and cooked,not mushy at all! This is my favorite seafood restaurant!

The service was great and we came in at mid shift and the restaurant was still busy it was a good sign! We hit happy hour at 3pm and 1/2 off apps how lucky was that! Best boudin balls ever flavor was excellent. I did the fried crawfish & stuffed shrimp both great the catfish had a nice batter on it and the shrimp were fried perfectly. My mom did the bacon wrapped shrimp and scollops perfectly cooked yum! Will keep this in the must list in Corpus for sure!

I got the seafood pasta and it was good. The only thing is , it was a little cold. I don't remember exactly what my husband ordered but I remember he didn't like it much. He finished it because he was hungry but he said he wouldn't order it again. We had gone for mothers day the year before and everything was really good so I guess it just depends on who's cooking.

Restaurant was nice and clean. Sadie was our server and was great. Started with the nachos and they were really good. Everyone's food was good. First time having pompano fish and it did not disappoint. Get it "lightly" blackened and you can't go wrong. Thanks for a great experience.

Good service except that my fried flounder was served raw. It was not cooked all the way. You would think the kitchen would know better.

Went back for a 3rd time and unfortunately it seems to be a hit or miss. They missed this time. We went on a Friday, and it was busy. Seemed overwhelming for the kitchen. I had the scallops and fries and the scallops came out barely warm, the Fries were soggy. My wife had the fried flounder and it was hardly breaded correctly. Staff is very nice though.

This place is amazing. The food is so fresh! We popped in about 2 PM and were excited to find out that they have specials from 2 to 5 PM and all of the oysters were half-price as well as the beers. And appetizers! We ate like Kings for $30. Our server. Yohanna, was beyond amazing! We tried the oyster sampler, which was unbelievably delicious. Four of three different types of oysters, and everyone divide. We also tried their seafood poppers, which were very good, and she knows how to dress a beer like a true Texan! We met the owner and chatted with him. Very nice guy! This is a Hidden gem. If you really want fresh seafood, and you want a very cool ambiance, lots of interesting decor, and TVs for those who, like to watch their sports! I cannot recommend this place enough!

We tried this place. On our way home from our conference were usually here once a year for Congress for our church. It was absolutely delicious. Service was wonderful it was clean quiet atmosphere, not as noisy as some of the other places we've been this week. The staff knew their product and even though I was looking for a sweet red wine to go with my lunch. They didn't have one available but the bartender created something for me. It was a spritzer kind of thing, but it was absolutely delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed it very relaxing now we're ready for a ride home. Will definitely come again.

AYCE Fried Shrimp, food was fair, but it may have died in the window if you know what I mean. Great price, service however was not good and was unexpected especially since the special was advertised constantly. It took a while for my order (15 minutes) and much longer (20 minutes) for a reorder. I'd suggest putting in your reorder as soon as you get your food. And don't sit at the bar!

AMAZING!! This place is beautiful and the menu is everything seafood. I have to say.. Hands down the GUMBO is the best I have had here! My daughter got the scallops and they were huge and seasoned perfect. I got the Pompano's Pasta and it was delicious, the amount of seafood was insane. The service was standout and very attentive. We will be back for sure..

I highly recommend this place food was terrific and the staff was prompt and courteous but the drinks omg so good. Family oriented and great atmosphere stop by and see for yourself. Oh and prices were reasonable

Service was slow and restaurant was empty. The appetizer we had seemed like a bottle of salt got poured on it. I love salt but not a whole bottle Poured on my chips, we couldn't eat it at all.

So here I am checking out what I hope will be another great suggestion from my amazing life partner. First thing you should know is this place is much different than the last seafood restaurant that he sent me to. This is a lot more casual atmosphere the bar is in the middle of the restaurant. Loud music, loud tables, but seems like a good time, especially I'm sure on an evening or weekend. Just a little FYI they're working on getting a true liquor license so presently all they have is beer and wine. No hard stuff yet. But if you're looking for a margarita, sometimes a Dos dressed hits the spot. Regarding the service my server, Abel A., is a little bit flaky. I have to admit he doesn't seem to have ever eaten here. He has never tried to oysters, or the shrimp, he has never tried anything except, the tilapia fried with tartar sauce, so if you're looking for suggestions on what to eat, I'm not sure you're going to get the answer you're looking for. It seems as if the staff haven't been given samples of anything, I think it's something that every restaurant should do, make sure the staff knows what the food tastes like and if he's allergic tell people that's why you have no clue. Of course, I am also overlooking the fact, that my food came out and I still had zero silverware and zero napkins. We'll live and let live. My dressed XX is very tasty with my seafood, but it is a little bit messy. So for my starter, I ordered the chard oysters, highly, highly recommend those. They were excellent. Next, I moved on to the shrimp and oyster platter for sides. I chose brussels sprouts and the Gouda cauliflower. If I were to do it again, I would've stuck with my first choice which was the cauliflower and extra hush puppies but again the server has never actually tried the brussels sprouts, so he didn't really know how they were served? They were served grilled but dry I kind of like a little bit of a sauce or something on them a balsamic vinaigrette, or something with honey. But it's just a side. The shrimp and the oysters were fairly good. I think that the red sauce out to Snoopy's has been by far the best red sauce I've ever tried. I also believe the breading on the shrimp and oysters is probably better at Snoopy's honestly. But the breading on the shrimp I appreciate it because it was fairly soft. It wasn't a corn bread, but I couldn't really tell you what was in it. The thing that stood out the most are the hush puppies if you're a fan of hush puppies, go ahead and start ordering a side of those to come to because they are some of the best hush puppies I've ever tried. The problem I always find with hush puppies, their usually so hard they basically cut your mouth. These are wonderful. So I guess that's it for this place. Of course, my ticket is much cheaper than the last seafood place that my partner suggested but I think the other place out shines by far.

I tried their Stuffed Lemon Pepper Flounder With Shrimp And Scallops and my bf tried the pompanos seafood pasta. Both very good. The sauce was scrumptious but I had to ask for extra sauce, just wasn't enough. We went a little late and they had ran out of the salmon.
