You need to try this place! We met some friends here and it was great. Don't let the parking lot fool you. It looked full when we pulled in, but we were seated immediately. We're able to order fairly quick and the food came out much faster than expected. The burgers were delicious, I got the one with the peach pico de gallo, my wife got the mushroom Swiss. Both tasted amazing! The fries and onion rings are both good, but the onion rings were some of the b|stnive had in a while, especially with their sister sauce. IYKYK

I stopped in recently and ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger, and I can honestly say it was one of the best burgers I’ve had in years. The beef patty was cooked perfectly — juicy, flavorful, and seasoned just right. You could tell it was made fresh, not frozen, and the texture had that ideal balance between a good sear on the outside and tenderness inside. The mushrooms were sautéed beautifully and full of flavor — not greasy, not soggy, just perfectly done — and the Swiss cheese was melted just right to tie it all together. Every bite had that rich, savory flavor you hope for when you order a Mushroom Swiss, but rarely get. The bun held up the whole time without getting soggy, which tells you they really care about quality ingredients and how the whole thing comes together. I also ordered the sweet potato fries, and they were awesome. Crispy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside, and served fresh out of the fryer. They had just the right touch of seasoning — enough to enhance the flavor but not overwhelm it. You could tell the kitchen takes pride in making even the sides memorable. The service was excellent from start to finish. The staff was friendly, attentive, and seemed to genuinely enjoy what they do. My order came out quickly even though the place was pretty busy, and everything was hot and fresh. I really appreciated how the servers checked in at the right times without hovering. The atmosphere at JD’s is another big plus. It’s got that perfect mix of local Texas charm and laid-back comfort. The rustic décor, open seating, and lively energy make it a great place for families, friends, or even a casual date night. They’ve also got outdoor seating, which is perfect for nice weather days — and it’s pet-friendly, which is always a win in my book. As a Canadian visiting Texas, I can honestly say JD Burgers is the spot to experience true southern hospitality and incredible food. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome like I was family. Friendly smiles, quick service, and a genuine “we’re glad you’re here” attitude that you don’t find just anywhere. Now the food—absolutely next level. The burgers are juicy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection with toppings stacked just right. You can taste the freshness in every bite. The sides were just as impressive—crispy fries and portions big enough to leave you more than satisfied. There was some kind of sauce on it that was delicious! The fries were nice and thick too. The place itself was casual, clean, and comfortable. I went at about 4:15pm and had my choice of seating and parking, but midway into that burger and the place started to fill up. By the time I was finished, the place was booming! I paid, left, and the parking lot was full! I’m a native of Fort Worth and have no idea how I haven’t been here, but I’m glad I know about it now!

Not bad. For a bite if your in the neighborhood it's better then fast food. Nice staff but not worth going out of my way for. If the burger was bigger and juicer it would be better. The onion rings were good. The canned mushrooms on the burger were plentiful but you can definitely tell. The burgers need to be bigger and thicker. There is more veggies and the bun as you can see then the star which should be the burger.

I stopped by JD Hamburgers on a whim after visiting “The Patch” across the street, and I am SO glad I did! The place had a nice Sunday afternoon crowd, which was a good sign. We were seated immediately, and both ordered burgers off the menu. They were phenomenal — fresh, perfectly cooked, and the buns were next-level good (either made in-house or from some magical local bakery!). The fries were crisp and flavorful, and the onion rings were just as great. The whole experience was exactly what you want from a burger spot — friendly service, cozy atmosphere, and food that leaves you planning your next visit. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the DFW area!

My husband and I went there for lunch for the first time. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was ok. It could use alittle remodeling. The service was really good and our food came out pretty quick. I ordered a hamburger which it was really good, but the only down side is that the hamburger patty was super small. There was more bun than patty. I highly recommend there onion rings now that tasted awesome. We will definitely go back and try other options on the menu

We had the Grilled Pimento Cheese & the Margie's Burger. We had both regular and sweet potato fries PLUS the Fried Apricot Pies for dessert. We will definitely be back!

We popped in to dodge rush hour on the motorcycle, and since this place is always packed, we figured it must be good. I went for the BBQ burger and okra fries -- solid 4.8/5. Delicious, no notes. My partner, on the other hand... not as lucky. She ordered the chicken sandwich with pasta salad. The chicken was thin, totally dried out, and came with zero sauce. She had to hijack my sister sauce just to make it edible -- that's a 1/5. And the pasta salad? Basically coleslaw reincarnated as noodles. Not what she expected, also a 1/5. Service was great, everyone super friendly. My meal was a win -- just wish hers didn't feel like a culinary prank. We'll give it another chance, but next time we're steering clear of the chicken.

The burgers here are soooo good! I absolutely loved the sweet sourdough buns -- soft, slightly sweet, and a perfect match for the juicy, tender burger patties. I got the Allie Mae & JD, while my husband ordered the Cheryl & Bo, and both were downright scrumptious. For my side, I upgraded to the okra fries with their Sister Sauce (just $1 extra) and it was totally worth it! Crisp, flavorful, and something different from the usual fries. We came on a Thursday just before 5 PM and it was already buzzing with people, which says a lot. Despite the crowd, the service was great -- super friendly and attentive. The prices are also very reasonable -- about $40 for two burgers (with sides) and two drinks. Great food, great service, and great value. We'll definitely be back!

No words. The best hamburger in the fort by far! Great fried green tomatoes too! Sometimes this stop takes a little time because they are always so busy, but it is worth it!

Addie Mae & JD burger 10/10 meat seasoned well, perfect amount of mayo, classic burger cannot go wrong with this one Sweet potato fries 10/10 not soggy or too salty after a 10 minute drive home Fried Okra fries BURNT I love fried okra but these were not it 0/10 idk if fry cook just left them in too long or this is how it's usually prepared but I would not get these again. Ambiance was great! 10/10 outside seating and tv Service was very friendly!! I will be back.

First time trying JD's. I came for the sourdough buns !! It was crowded but we were able to sit down pretty quickly. I chose a ready made burger , next time I'll build my own and go with sweet potato fries instead of regular fries. It was casual dressing and felt like being at home or a neighborhood restaurant.. My burger was a little on the dry side and the fries were soaked in oil. I'll give them another go, the sourdough is amazing .. build your own burger

We have been to JD's many times. Whether it is just two or a large group we are always accomodated and have great service and food. Jd's is becoming a destination as we have friends coming from all over.

If you like the show Landman, the filming location for The Patch Cafe is right across the street. I thought the Okra Fry Basket was pretty unique. I haven't had fried okra presented in that way. My friends and I thought the burgers were good; above average. I even added a fried egg to mine. I thought the buns were too greasy but some people might like that. Overall it taste like a "better than fast food" type of burger. The restaurant does get packed so be prepare to wait if you go at peak hours.

Tried it out for the first time and the food was outstanding! Started with the okra fries and then had burgers with regular and sweet potato fries. It was all delicious and we have our new favorite burger spot!!

We were able to revisit when the weather was nicer and grab a seat inside. Party of three we ordered Deviled eggs and Fried Green Tomatos as an appetizer. We also order Dos Equis draft, Rahr & Sons seasonal draft (Blond) and the Coco Anejo (good but thick stout). I ordered the Dot & Johnny Mack which was very tasty. The fries were not seasoned well and my son ate them. Hubs ordered Allie Mae & JD on jalapeno cheese bread add mayo add mustard with onion rings. The onion rings were meh and he would order something different in the future. Son ordered Margie's burger no fried basil add mustard with sweet potato fries. The burgers are amazing. The buns are light and fluffy. We also really liked our waiter Mike D. We would definitely return but switch us our orders and maybe forego the sides.

Excellent burgers. The buns are the best! It's super casual and a lovely outdoor area with a ton of tables. Right when we got out of our car in the parking lot, we immediately got a nice whiff of meat. It smelled divine. I ordered the Allie Mae & JD with onion rings. It's a good ol' burger. The meat was seasoned well. It was actually a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be so I only ate half. I just finished the other half for dinner, which is why I remembered to write a review. I did finish the onion rings at the restaurant though. They were so crunchy and perfectly breaded. I recommend asking for ranch on the side for the onion rings. I've been here numerous times before and got other burgers to try. I've had the Jasie & Joe twice. I enjoyed that one, obviously because I had it twice. Can't really go wrong with anything you order. Service is awesome too. They were busy when we got in and our waitress forgot our sodas, but she was super apologetic about it and even gave us a refill with an empty to-go cup, just in case.

Ever since our first visit to JD's in 2022, it quickly became our go-to local spot to satisfy any burger cravings. However, we also found out that while their burgers are great, their other menu items are awesome as well. After trying the Grilled Chicken Sandwich once, it has now become the favorite for both The Wife and I as we get it each time, which is saying a lot given how great the burgers are. You're greeted with a hearty, tender haunch of chicken breast that has amazing flavor from the marinade/seasoning, smothered in sister sauce, all piled on some buttered Texas Toast. In my view this is the best chicken sandwich in Fort Worth (Wild Acre's may be second). So if you're like us where you go to JD's frequently or if you haven't tried it all yet, do explore their menu as it has more than just great burgers here.

Didn't see it on the menu, but don't let that stop you from ordering the best Michelada in Texas. Pairs well with their whole menu, but I chose to stick with the brunch vibe and order a breakfast burger. I absolutely love this low-key, cozy restaurant! The service is always great and I love that they offer both indoor and outdoor seating.

I had my wife on one side, my oldest daughter on the other, and a ravenous hunger in my soul that only a specialty burger joint could fix. We rolled in right at 11:00am--beat the crowd, beat the rain, and most importantly, beat the "sorry, there's a wait" conversation. The Scene: The moment we walked in, it was like the hostess had been training for this moment her whole life. Friendly, quick, efficient -- like a Southwest gate agent with snacks. They got us seated inside, away from the rain, and right in the heart of this cozy Fort Worth gem. The staff? Spectacular. The vibe? Homey with just enough honky tonk. The soundtrack? I don't remember the music--because the TV at the bar was playing a Texas A&M football rerun, and honestly? That was the exact kind of background noise this dad needed. A touchdown throw, a sizzle from the kitchen, and a bourbon cocktail in hand? That's peace. The Meal: Let's talk meat, y'all. I came in hoping for the legendary Buford T, which made waves at Fort Worth Food + Wine Festival. Sadly, it wasn't on the menu yet. But what I did get? An off-menu special so over-the-top it could've been featured on a Food Network showdown. A burger topped with: * Crispy hash browns (because fries on the side is amateur hour) * A perfectly cooked fried egg * Grilled jalapeños with just enough kick to make me question my life choices * Cheddar cheese, gooey like a Hallmark movie ending * And a creamy sriracha sauce that gave it attitude All served on a sourdough bun so good I wanted to write it a thank-you card. My daughter went classic with the Allie Mae & JD burger--lettuce, tomato, pickles, caramelized onions, and that mystery magic "Sister Sauce." One bite and she gave me that look that said, "I'm not sharing, Dad. Don't even ask." The Beverage: I wasn't about to celebrate Father's Day without a little bourbon therapy. Fantastic burger joint! Very friendly greeting once you walk in! Friendly waitstaff! This joint doesn't "over pile" their burgers like a lot of others do, thank you. You can actually eat their tasty burgers without using a knife & fork! Let's talk about those d*mn fries!!!

I loved the burguers and the sweet potato fries!! The meat tasted so fresh and just made how we ordered, will go back for sure . The only complaint I have is the fries were a little salty but besides that everything was delicious

Least starving. Our hamburgers were straight grease and raw meat. I have never in my life had an onion ring I didn't LOVE...until here, it was SOO SALTY, tasted like STRAIGHT salt. Really REALLY disgusting food. My bf who LOVES burgers, ordered his burger very WELL done and asked for bacon well done to the point of being burnt and the bacon was barely cooked but all slippery thick fat. We literally came starving and couldn't eat this stuff. This place is why men in Texas die so much younger than their wives & it makes me sad. I asked for extra bbq sauce on my burger, and bbq sauce for the onion rings and had to ask a second and third time. Eventually getting a tiny 1oz. sample size of bbq sauce. It has been thee worst place I've eaten in Texas so far. And for 2 hamburgers/fries and onion rings...$47?! I could've had a steak or actual GOOD food somewhere else. I told the waitress about my bf's bacon, and she said she was disappointed that happened, and asked if we wanted her to bring some more, instead of making it right and doing that the second we told her. "Southern charm" Smile and pretend like you care & don't do anything genuine because you actually DO care. Having had a family restaurant growing up, and worked as a waitresss or food industry most of my life, I could NEVER recommend this place. The ONLY positive out of the experience is that outside is cute. Brought the hamburgers home for our dogs since I had to pay $50 for this disgusting nauseating inedible meal. Hopefully THEY don't get sick or diarrhea from it. ****DO NOT EAT HERE**** Go to HOOKERS at Stockyards!!! You won't be disappointed!!!! You'll never regret Hookers and it's half the price!

I heard by friends they had a good Hamburger! I think the Hamburger would have been good! If they had cooked it how I wanted just Meat and Bun! Same as it said on the menu..it came with a LOT of salt and pepper...plain means PLAIN

The inside sitting area is small. The place appears to be nice and clean. This was my first time visiting JD's Hamburgers with my roommate during Sunday lunch time. We had about 20 minutes wait for a table inside. The service was friendly. She was kind. I ordered Jasie & Joe burger on jalapeño cheddar bun with sweet potato fries. The burger was very dry. It had no sauce. It needed some kind of sauce. The burger cost too much for this dry.

I had a Great Burger & Fries at JD's. When it comes to the food there is nothing to complain about. The inside of JD's is A LOT nicer than the outside. From the road it looked a little aged but when I pulled in and got a better look everything was just fine. I don't mind paying for a good burger & fries but WOW the prices here are high. I think I could've gone to Del Frisco's for the same money. I was kind of sticker shocked. Remember I ordered an old fashioned cheeseburger with fries and a sweet tea. After a 20% tip my check was right at $24.....For a minute I thought I was going to have to call my credit card company and get an increase of my limit and I carry a small balance at all times. I expected a call from my card company to make sure it was me making such a large purchase. LOL. I highly recommend JD's to everyone just make sure you have plenty of money on you to pay your check.

I really hate leaving a review like this. I teetered between 2 & 3 stars. The flavor of the burger was good, but everything else was underwhelming. I've been wanting to try JD's for so long now because I've read so many good reviews and the pictures of the burgers are mouthwatering. My visit did not live up to the hype and I left kind of disappointed. Me and kid came on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was pretty full when we got there, but we were seated right away. It's very clean and nicely decorated inside. But it was also cold and pretty loud. Our waitress came quickly and was nice enough but also seemed uninterested at the same time. Didn't offer suggestions or discuss the menu at all when told it was our first time. I ordered a cucumber watermelon paleta which was delish!! It was crisp and refreshing and slightly sweet. It was my favorite part of the meal. We weren't starving, so we decided to split a burger and fries. At a $15 price point, I guess I expected a good sized meal but that was not the case. They did split our meal into 2 baskets for us, so that was nice. But I had maybe 3 bites of burger patty on my half and there wasn't much more on his half. The patty was crumbly and thin, while a good flavor, it was TINY. Definitely a horrible meat to bread ratio. The menu says the fries are hand cut, but they looked and tasted like they were frozen. I could be wrong.... Overall, I do want to come back as I may have been on an off day and I'd like to try other items from the menu. But I won't rush to try again, especially due to the price point for such a tiny burger.

We have been there several times and every time it gets better. The Allie Mae is my favorite and it's sloppy and delicious. Fries were to die for but would like vinegar to pour on them. My sister got the BLT and it was amazing, my niece got the grilled cheese with fries. Omg,,, the cheese was so cheesy that it pulled apart in over 12 inches. Service was excellent , waitress was very sweet and as always the facility was immaculate. I brought my sister my niece from Virginia to all of my favorite local spots. The burger was really good. It was juicy and cooked to perfection. The sweet potato fries were tasty too. The service was outstanding. I think I had the friendliest waiter I've ever had in my life. There is something to be said about Texas hospitality. The ambience was great for a casual dining setting with your family and friends. They have outdoor lighting and they have live music weekly outside on their patio

Nice little place that sits off Camp Bowie, just west of Fort Worth. Nice and clean, good service, atmosphere is relaxing with easy-listening music. I had a grill cheese with cup of chili, an order of banana pudding to go. Water to drink. Total was $23.74 + $5.00 tip. That's $28.74 for 2 slices of bread with cheese, pickle, and a cup of their chili. Only feedback I have is to change the listing on Yelp from two $$ to three $$$ dollar signs.

If I could give JD's 5++ stars I would! I love all the things about this place, the burgers are delicious, beer is cold, deserts are classic, the staff is always super friendly, and the old country classics playing on the radio are fantastic... it feels very welcoming, like a local burger spot that's been around forever and that everyone would love! Overall a place that I leave feeling satisfied, and always looking forward to going back again!! If you don't have a favorite burger spot, this should be it.

JD's Hamburgers Review This was my second visit to JD's Hamburgers, and once again, they did not disappoint! We came in just after the weekday lunch rush, and everything from the service to the food was spot-on. The burgers are absolutely awesome--juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. But the real standout is the homemade bun... soft, fresh, and the perfect complement to the burger. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The restaurant itself is clean, inviting, and has a nostalgic charm that makes you feel right at home. Both times I've visited, my lunch companion and I left very pleased--not just with the food, but with the friendly and attentive service as well. I'll definitely be recommending JD's to others and can't wait to come back again soon--next time with our adult children so they can see what all the hype is about!

First time to dine here. Our waiter, Ben, was on point from the moment we were seated. He made suggestions off the menu and even when we couldn't make up our minds, offered 1/2 fries 1/2 sweet potatoes fries. Never ever had this offered to me. Then when refilling glasses brought pitcher of 1/2 sweet/1/2 unsweetened instead of bringing fresh glass. Perfection on detail. Offered each fried pie flavor as dessert and again instead of basis service, we were able to have three different favors. Definitely by far - not disappointed.

I got the bacon blue cheeseburger, and my coworkers got salads with hamburger patties on top. They said the burger patty was so good that it could stand on its own on top of a salad. You know you're eating a good burger when you don't have to eat it on a bun and all the fixings

The burgers were very good, and the fries average. But the service was incredibly slow and the AC about froze us out. Hopefully that was an outlier experience, so we'll probably give them another chance.

These burgers are delicious - the sourdough buns take everything to a whole new deliciousness. Choose the flavored cream cheese to get it over the top flavor. My only negative is that we've ordered "to-go" twice and waited 30 minutes past the already generous time for preparation. They are typically very busy, so it's somewhat understandable, but this weekend they didn't have a line at all and we still waited way too long for hamburgers. Plan accordingly and still go, because their food is truly delicious and it's all about the buns! The onion rings are off the chart, too!

Updated Review 2-23-24 The Rei's Strawberry Basil Lemonade gets a 10 out of 10. I thought the basil would be too strong, but it wasn't. It was creative and delicious and went well with the food. We ordered the Hatch Chile Queso Chili Fries as an appetizer, and I unfortunately forgot to take a picture. The flavors were great! I loved the queso was sort of a nachos-cheese style and satisfyingly messy. The burger was hot, fresh, and correctly made. The onion rings were crunchy crispy. Everything all ate well together, but the beer was sort of the star of the show for me, and it was actually my date's drink order. I stole too many sips to count and would definitely recommend ordering, for sure. This place is consistently good with a down-homey vibe. Everyone feels welcome here!

We are a tricky family to feed - kids + gluten free. Well, JD's nailed it! Our server, Christian, was clear about the food allergy protocol, and everyone had delicious dinners. The kids loved the fried okra - surprise! Do wish the bees would have left us along, guess they were hungry & knew a good spot!

Heard about this place and was excited to try it. Party of six we all ordered different burgers. The jalapeño buns were soft and delicious but the patties were very small and over cooked even after we ordered them medium rare. Our server was not very attentive so we didn't want to complain. Not sure what the hype is about this place. The fried okra, strips are extremely thin and the drinks were just ok. Everyone complained that their meat patties were overcooked and small. At those prices, there are much better burger places.

I was disappointed with the burger, came out like warm almost cold, had to put my own mustard on it then it slipped around and you had to eat it one piece at a time. Better burgers in Granbury. The restaurant was clean except for the flies. Service was mediocre.

After a few good recommendations I checked out this little burger spot. Place looked clean and quaint. We got there just before the rush. Place was clean and our waitress was super helpful and nice. I tried the award winning Preston's Pico & Pig with house fries and the Feature Burger which was a Chimichurri Burger (which was a wagyu burger with chimichurri aole and smoked Gouda cheese) with okra fries. I can tell you the flavor profile on these burger is good and had a chance to be great burgers. Unfortunately both burgers were over cooked due to a thin patty. House fries were standard fries executed well. The okra fries were very tasty and I definitely enjoyed them. I then tried 2 desserts one blackberry cobbler and one banana pudding. The blackberry cobbler was very good and mixed well with the scoop of ice cream it came with. I unfortunately can't say the same about the banana pudding. The pudding portion of it was very grainy, leaving the waffers to be the only bright spot of that dessert. All in all if I'm with a group who wants to go here and eat, then I will tag along.

I had the Pico and Pig Burger and can honestly say it's the best burger I have ever had in my life! We had great service and the atmosphere was very nice and clean! You won't be disappointed .

Went on a Saturday during prime lunch hours. Had a 20 minute wait but I was prepared that may happen. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The menu has good options to choose including burgers, grilled chicken, chili dog, kids menu, appetizers, desserts, a few brunch items, & beverages. I like how the menu tells you where the beef and their other staple items come from. I started with a nopales margarita with a tajin rim. Nopales have a unique taste, I don't mind it. I could tell there was tequila in there and the glassware was super cute! The guys got bottled beers that came with koozies you get to keep. For food: I got the Allie Mae & JD burger which has lettuce, tomato, cheese, caramelized onions & sister sauce on a sturdy sourdough bun. I always get my sauce on the side when I eat out so I can control how much is on my burger. The sister sauce is spicy and tastes like a sriracha, mayo, and maybe ketchup mixture. Burgers come with fries or sweet potato fries or you can choose other items for an up charge. I ordered the okra fries with a side of ranch. I enjoyed them but think I will wait until they're back in season before ordering next time. They were small skinny little things but had great flavor and crunch. My husband got a grilled chicken sandwich on a buttery texas toast with fries. He devoured his meal. Our friends also got the chili all beef hotdog and allie mae burger with fries. We all enjoyed the food, atmosphere & company! We look forward to going back!

The reason why I would possibly come back if because every time I come here it takes at least an hour or more. Overall the food is good, and they take their time. The space is nice as well as the inside and outdoor seating. The waiter forgot to put our order in and that took forever. Definitely would be the same if they worked faster.

Make time for a visit to JDs if you're craving a good burger. There are a number of great suggestions and configurations in terms of toppings, number of patties, etc and they will make it the way you want it if you don't see it on the menu. There's a very friendly vibe here and very good service. The real star was the quality and the freshness of the beef. This was a flavorful burger even though they serve a flatter patty. I loved my bacon mushroom Swiss burger. I got two Patties. The onion rings were good but not amazing. My wife got a burger with an herbed cream cheese and bacon. Really, really good. Her fries were good, but again, the sides here take a backseat to the burgers, which are some of the best in the area.

Great place with a small indoor dining area and a large patio out back. Very, very clean. Food service is on point. I wish I had grabbed his name, as he was just the nicest guy ever. Even though he had multiple tables, he was always very aware of when our drinks got low or if we needed something more. The bar service was slow (4 instead of 5 stars). I have mixed feelings here, as although the drinks were good, the lag time between ordering and getting them was noticeable. Turning drinks out should be the number one priority of the front of the house. - It is the highest profit category in the restaurant. Keep them flowing. - More drinks=highter tabs=better tips= higher profit= success Group of 4. We had the deviled eggs and fried green tomatoes as appetizers. Both solid choices. Great flavor and very fresh. As a group, we ordered (2) El Bombi Burgers. The jalapeño bun is the star here. Great bread, perfectly sliced, and just big enough that it didn't take away from the burger. The burger itself was OK. It wasn't bad, but wasn't exceptional in any way. They also do not ask you how you would like it cooked. It was cooked to my liking, but that might be the case for everyone. Fries were very bland, but the onion rings were amazing.

We sat outside on Sunday, May 18 and the flies were terrible. They kept landing on the kids burgers and fries. They didn't want to eat their food and left most of it behind. Sweet potato fries weren't very good. Ordered fried green tomatoes and never received them. Servers were very friendly which is a plus these days.
