This place is extremely overrated and expensive. There is nothing notable or special about anything we ate or experienced. I expected a literal "fondue bar" too. We were confused on the menu but our server was extremely thorough on explaining on how to order and eat. She was very patient and sweet. 5 stars for service. No wait time either. We each got the 4 course. We expected fancy dippable items. It's just simple hard bread, raw fruit and veggies. Salad was mediocre- you get a tastier salad at olive garden. The main course is also mediocre. It's a large pot of broth of choice with items you cook such as meat and veggies. Again, nothing mouth-watering or notable taste. Please be cautious if you are cooking meat, especially chicken. We were warned about the inconsistent size in cuts of meat so though the timer says "2 mins", it could actually take 3 or 4 minutes. We did like the option for free refills of the sides, same with dippale dessert items. We were glad to have finnaly experienced The Melting Pot but we won't return. $200+ for 3 for nothing memorable or exceptional and you cook your own food. Food is unseasoned, dessert sides taste like Safeway bought dessert trays. "Hype" did not meet our expectations. I would recommend this place for like a first date. I think it'd be fun to interact, dip and cook items while getting to know someone. If you want your taste buds to explode and worth the money (1/2 the cost), go to Thai Bloom instead 🙃 ⚠️ Regarding the bathroom: The bathroom is far away and outside the restaurant in a secluded sketchy hall. Have your phone handy with someone to be ready to answer or go with someone just to be safe. Anyone from the outside could easily access that secluded area. You could scream and no one would hear you FYI. Anything could happen down there.

The Melting Pot in Portland, Oregon is such a fun, worth it experience! The restaurant is underground with a beautiful entrance, very spacious and lots of seating. We had the 4 course meal at $64 per person, it is on the spendy side plus drinks. Pictured is the Strawberry Sensation adult beverage which hands down is a 10/10, Strawberry salad with lemon poppyseed dressing, house salad with peppercorn ranch, cheddar cheese fondue served with a bread, vegetable and apple board and the feast entree that came with Filet Mignon, pacific white tailed shrimp, teriyaki marinated steak, Atlantic salmon and chicken breast. Annnnnd the dessert board was full of yummy delicious sweets from chocolate dusted marshmallows, rice krispies, strawberries, bananas, waffles baked in maple syrup (under bananas), blondies and brownies all were so yummy. All the food was absolutely mouth watering, savoryness, all the food does come in smaller portions but it is very filling. You do get to pick your choice of the cheese fondue, the broth which the meats cooked in and the chocolate fondue. It does take a longer time as for the main entree you cook your own, which was fun to do! Highly recommend ✨️10/10✨️ for the experience and the food!!

Overall, it was a fun experience. The meat was average, but the selection of nonalcoholic drinks was very good, which is not something you see at many establishments. Different types of meats and seafood require different cooking times, and there’s a QR code that provides a food timer. Unfortunately, I found that my cell phone had no service there, at least for Verizon users. I recommend using a garage for parking, as the area has a two-hour maximum limit on street parking. This place would be great for bringing younger kids.

1st time going and definitely will be going back! Recommend everyone trying atleast once. Great service, super friendly and helpful.The food was absolutely incredible from start to finish. Every dish was full of flavor, fresh, and beautifully presented. You can tell a lot of care goes into both the ingredients and the preparation. Portions were generous and everything tasted homemade and high quality. One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time and I can’t wait to come back!

Well have you heard the term "A hole in the wall" well this is a "hole in the ground" restaurant "a true find"...If you are or going to be in the Portland Oregon area this is a must visit restaurant. I will say this was my first time at a hotpot restaurant and I was very concerned about how well done my food would get with only being cooked under boiling water. To my astonishment my meats were cooked to perfection and I am a " extremely well done" type. I have to say it's beyond excellent, our server was so nice and attentive. The experience was exactly that, an experience. From the cheese, to the meats to the chocolate it's all awesome. We will definitely be back as this was by far my best experience in Portland. I ranked atmosphere as 4 due to the lack of lighting.

Food was ok. Nothing to write home about for the price. Our sever Jaime was great. A couple of pain points though that do not have anything to do with him. We had about five different people ask if we needed to go boxes all within the span of 1 minute or so it was a little obnoxious. We also were asked by a lady who didn't introduce herself (I'm assuming the manager) right before the main course if everything was tasting ok and someone at the table innocently said we haven't tasted the "main course" yet and the manager said sarcasticly "oh you haven't tasted anything yet today?" In a sort of snotty way. The atmosphere was lacking for a place that charges that much for a relatively small meal, the atmosphere should be way better. You walk in at the host stand (no decor) and there is some tacky crooked what appears to be a sheet that's pinned up behind the host stand and that represents St Jude (great organization by the way) but it just looks cheap and unprofessional. The rest of the atmosphere was pretty average / boring at best. The price compared to the quality of food/quantity isn't worth it. We had a party of 5 and spent about $400 after tip and that was almost all food (only 3 drinks) and honestly before dessert was served I was still hungry. The petite steak was too tough of a cut for that price and it was also bland as was the shrimp. There was no cohesion in the sauces for the petite steak imo. The teriyaki steak was a better cut and went well with the teriyaki sauce. I also didn't enjoy the fact that I had to use my phone (in a place with no cell service due to being underground, there is wifi) for a timer. They should invest in timers at the table or something like that to elevate the experience and make it easier for the older folks.

I hate to say it bluntly but we had an honestly horrible experience. Hostess said it would be a 2 hour long experience, which we were looking forward to and were ready to relax. Random flickering lights in old colored wine bottles made the atmosphere feel dated and unkempt. Sat at 6:25 to a dirty table. Server gave us water and didn't show up for >10 minutes. Alerted the host and they took our order instead of the server. Didn't see the server for another 10 minutes. Arrived with food and scurried off while in the middle of me asking to order a drink. Ordered it from the bartender. At this point I knew that I was sitting at table 23. Food portions were hilariously small. Had a 4 course dinner and I'm still hungry. "Entrees" contained about 7oz. of meat. $6 summer sausage portion was two thin 2" diameter sausages cut into 8 pieces (picture posted of this in review). I could order double meat at Subway and get far more meat for less. Ordered a Coors Light, waitress never picked it up. Saw it at the well on the bar and asked the bartender if I could just run it for her and confirmed it was mine for table 23. Got to the table warm and it tasted flat. I general manage a bar and drink Coors every day. This one was gross. Dinner for 2 = $185 with drinks. On the vast amount of places you can eat for that price in Portland, The Melting Pot is an absolute scam. I feel dumb for trying it honestly. Literally go to Fogo Dr Chao next door. NEVER again. Terrible service, outdated in a bad way atmosphere, small portions, not worth its price range.

I don't have a reference for fondue but it was quite delicious, fun and a very professional atmosphere! Our server was careful to make sure we understood the process of the experience and gave recommendations appropriately. I feel for the price we paid it could have been a little more food, notably in the cheese and broth portion. Left still somewhat hungry!

Stephanie changed my life and now my pot is thoroughly melted. 10/10 would recommend.

Fun night with a great server who really took the time to explain and answer all of our questions about the menu. My mother in law asked to have him do the cheese fondue table side and he did. Thanks Darius. Fun experience and the manager was so helpful getting us out of the restaurant using the elevator. Very good service.

Yelp Review for The Melting Pot I took my family to The Melting Pot today, and we had an amazing time! This was our 4th time to this location. The food was delicious, and the fondue experience is so much fun. Our waiter, Jerry, was awesome--super friendly, attentive, and made the whole meal even better. He explained everything perfectly and made sure we had everything we needed. We'll definitely be back! This is our 6th Melting Pot location we have visited.

For Valentines this year my girlfriend and I wanted to try out the Melting Pot. Neither of us have ever done fondue and we were both excited to try. We booked online which was straight forward and easy. Because it was Valentines we had to select a package and agree to a special menu. We picked the Toast package. This was the lowest tier, it was 75 dollars per person and included your choice of a glass of champagne or non-alcoholic cider. You also had to agree to a 19% gratuity. Making the meal 180 for two. The entrance to The Melting Pot is really cool. They have an archway at the corner of a block with a stair well that leads you underground into the restaurant. Upon getting into the restaurant things start to go downhill. The interior has a very outdated feel to it. Personally, the outdated interior gave me a dirty feel to it, but my girlfriend reassured me it's just old. There was also a lack of a dress code. For a meal that starts off at almost 200 dollars we both expected a dress code. But o boy, we were mistaken, many people were inside in sweats pants, hoodies, gym shorts, and gym shirts. I guess, we should've expected it as we are in Portland, but in my opinion it initially took away from the fancy date night imagine. The service at the table was also not the best. Upon asking if this was our first time doing Fondue, our waiter reluctantly explained how it all worked and what to expect. After this explanation we ordered. We got the bacon and Brie cheese, bacon and bleu salad, mojo main course, and the flaming turtle. All of the courses were good but in my opinion not up to the price. The service was also good but again not up to the price. We went through our main course extremely slowly because we thought each skewer was for a different course. It wasn't until an hour and a half later (of working on just the main course), our waiter told us that we can use multiple skewers for the main course and that they will give us more for dessert. Ultimately, we both really enjoyed the fondue experience but were disappointed with the service and food. In conclusion (tldr), fondue was a fun experience and we both had a great time. We were disappointed with the food quality and service as we felt it did not live up to the price.

It used to be our favorite restaurant but after two disappointing experiences, with the last one being downright shameful, we will no longer be going. In short the food is still has some highlights but: 1. Service is hit and miss from "ok" to "where did they go?" 2. Purchasing a celebratory "toast package" was a complete joke. No commemorative glasses, card, picture, or enthusiasm from the server as promised. An extreme letdown. Also more expensive than listed. 3. Bread and veggies were obviously left out as they were dry and wilty and the bread was hard. Also they were prepped and set by our table in a high traffic area where dozens of people could have touched it, coughed on it or simply dropped hairs or germs on it. Gross and unsanitary. 4. 19% gratuity and 4% up charge on all bills on top of the already expensive prices for mediocre service and ok food (last time our cheese was not made right and was lumpy, also the salad was brought out during the cheese course instead of in between courses). It's a bummer but until we hear of things improving back to what they used to be, we will save our money.

Melting pot has been a staple in PDX for quite some time. Made a last minute reservation on a Friday night with my daughters for a special dessert. They were both eager to try dipping everything in hot chocolate sauce. Busy evening, but were seated relatively quickly. Seemed they may have been short staffed. Packed house, and service took longer than expected though not egregious. Ambiance was inline with all other melting pot locations. A little dark but they all are. Kids had a wonderful time out with Dad so I'd say mission accomplished.

The Melting Pot is such a treat! Our server was Darius and he was wonderfully attentive without being overly so, Madison checked in on us as well. Both staff members were kind and friendly. We throughly enjoyed our entire dining experience. The booths are comfortable, the food delicious and fun, and the atmosphere inviting.

I would give this a negative star rating if I could. Valentine dinner with my girlfriend at $240.00 for 2. Had a reservation at 9:30 PM, but when we showed up we had to wait until 10:00 to be seated. Worst service ever as well!!! Waiter rarely checked in on us, tried to get us to take our dessert to go as we assumed he wanted to go home. Waited and waited and waited for servic e, so dinner took us 2 hours just to eat. If he would have provided better service, he wouldn't have had to suggest we get our dessert to go. We had a car scheduled and almost had to cancel it because of the lack of service during our meal. I work in a restaurant and understand the value of the tip. I like to tip well when the service provided warrants it, but the worst part was, we had an automatic gratuity of 20% and couldn't at least show our lack of appreciation with a less than 20% tip. Will never return to this restaurant again as they did a great job of ruining a Valentine treat that I planned for my girlfriend and I.

This is a crazy place. The servers seem nice but honestly the food is extremely expensive for mediocre quality. I was quite disappointed by the dessert. The items to be dipped into the chocolate were either bland, stale, or both. We payed $8 for an additional item (4 mini cream puffs) to dip but they were frozen in the middle when we received them. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Came for a birthday celebration. The food was amazing. While our server was very nice, the wait times in between seeing her were not what we expected. Our table location was great and all staff wonderful! Overall good experience.

What a wonderful experience this was! This was my first time in this type of restaurant. I loved the decor and the location. I also lived that I had no phone reception and that I could be present with the people that I had come here with. Our waitress was amazing. I have some weird food allergies and she was to ensure that I had a great experience. The food and drink was spot on. I truly enjoyed everything about this place. Definitely check it out!

As always, the food was good though the quality had slipped a little from last time we were there. ( November of 2023 ) With a reservation in place we arrived about ten minutes late on a Friday evening. After a very short wait we were directed to what must have been the smallest table in the entire location. A very small afterthought table hidden in a corner next to the kitchen. Not enough space to comfortably place the food on the table. Reaching to the "pot" required dragging your sleeves over the food on the table. Totally unacceptable for establishment of this "quality". Ambiance? You must be kidding me. Service: Acceptable. Companion purchased a little stuffed toy with logo. Price was to be $2.00 but was billed to credit card at $20.00. The Melting Pot has been our "celebration location" for several years. As you might expect, after this wonderful experience, that will no longer be our choice.

I was impressed with everything at the Melting Pot, where we ate on Boxing Day 2023. Our local friend wanted to go, so we booked a reservation well in advance, probably a good thing as it was popping off! The service throughout was stellar, very friendly and helpful. I believe Chase was our server for the table, and he was wonderful. With my bariatric stomach, I had some concerns about the ordering process, but all went smoothly. We were not forced to order per numbers of people at the table, but in terms of portions, and by doing so, we managed to eat pretty much everything! We had something from each section, except salads. I don't know who wants a salad at a fondue place? We had plenty of vegetables and fruits, overall. Four of us ordered the Classic Cheese fondue, though the Sprossling wanted the spinach artichoke (next time, bud). We also ordered The Pacific Rim, the Classic, and the Garden. Finally, we finished with the Pure Chocolate Fondue in milk chocolate. They were superb at managing our gluten free needs for our guest, and are gluten free certified. My one 'issue' was the Pickle Martini, and it was not great. Not the fault of anyone! Just a little too 'salad dressing' and not enough umami for my taste. I think I thought there would be olives or some brine, like in a dirty martini, and as such, it was not for me. Sprossling managed a peanut butter and chocolate milkshake on top of everything else, oh to be 23 again. They had a coat check, and parking was fairly close by (though that was its own adventure). There is an elevator that arrives within the mall basement floor for any ADA needs.

This review is for dinner for two on a Friday evening. While we have been to Melting Pot before, this was the first time at this location. Our server Justin (I hope that's right, I'm bad with names) made this a great night out. My wife and I split the dinner for two, and nearly everything was exceptional. The drinks were tasty and food came out in exactly the time needed to appreciate the flavors while having a nice flow. As the appetizer we opted for the classic alpine, which is always a good choice for variety and taste. For the main entrees we chose the classic and the land and sea using the coq au vin cooking style- both had some overlapping items but everything was fresh and of very high quality. We did not have time to get to dessert, however Justin kindly gave us an IOU. Even without dessert this was one of the best meals in a long time and we look forward to returning. I also have to say that wow it's looking nice out in downtown Portland lately - do yourself a favor and take the time to come out if it's been a while.

I've been hearing about the Melting Pot since before I moved to Portland so was very excited to finally try it. But was extremely underwhelmed. We had a reservation and weren't seated until 20 minutes after it began - in a restaurant that only had a handful of other patrons. Took us nearly half an hour to get our drinks and we ended up inhaling our food to get to our event on time. Food was pretty decent, but it's pricey. We did 3 cheese fondues for the table, and then a few of us got meat and it was plenty of food. I'd say if you're looking for something classically upscale and have time to kill as a group, it's a good option.

Way overpriced. It was almost $320 for a family of 5. Food was mediocre at best. Not great. Carrot had moldy spots on it. There was a hair in my steak. Overall just not good and you can eat at a much better restaurant for cheaper.

Felt a little hesitant going here after reading some of the reviews online. I wasn't sure if it would be worth the hype. For years I've heard how swanky this place is so I had conflicting expectations. Was this going to be a phenomenal experience or a colossal mistake? Luckily for me, it was a great time. We had a reservation for 6:45pm and arrived a little early. After a brief wait, we were shown to a table in the very back. The atmosphere is nice but nothing outstanding. The restaurant is in a basement so there aren't any windows. There's only so much you can do to a commercial space basement restaurant. The air was infused with all manner of boiling broth aromas. It's fun to see stream rising from each table, everyone gathered around embracing the moment. The classic experience includes a cheese fondue starter, a salad, an entree and chocolate fondue dessert. For two, the classic experience is $119 with optional add-ons for a price. So know that you will be dropping some dough to dip that bread in cheese. For the entree, each meat needs to cook for different lengths of time so be sure to listen to your waiter to avoid undercooked meat! Overall, a wonderful evening out. Enjoy!

We were treated to an amazing dinner at the Melting Pot tonight, and it was just that - a treat! Fantastic flavors, great staff, clear directions, and we walked out full and happy. We decided to go with the a la carte method, and ordered the Fiesta fondue for 4 to start. Then we ordered the Classic, Pacific Rim, and Land and Sea entrees. Our server gave us cooking directions for all of it, and plenty of sauce to go around! Fun tip, the veggies are bottomless. We finished off the evening with a small chocolate fondue that was more than enough for all of us, and we ordered that with just fruit for dipping which was great after such a big meal. We had a great time here! Will note, the menu prices are not cheap. Definitely a special occasion type of spot. It's also in the basement of the building, with quite a lot of steam happening, so be prepared for both of those things. But overall really fun!

The food and service were good but way overpriced -$250 for a family of four, without salads or dessert. I get that you are buying the fondue experience but the last two times we've been to their downtown location the experience was ruined by encounters - in the middle of the afternoon - with belligerent unhoused people including an actual brawl that broke out ten feet away from us INSIDE the waiting area earlier today. We cant afford to eat out very often even at more reasonably priced restaurants - this was supposed to be a Christmas Eve treat! Someone is making a lot of money off this place and until they spend some of it paying for onsite security we will not be back!

We had a wonderful experience. Celebrated me and my best friend's birthday here along with our office mates. It is pricey but the experience is wonderful! Paired with our funtastic host/server it was amazing! I recommend to go with a group it is so much fun

Had an amazing date night! We did The Complete Experience for Two and loved every bit of it!! I also had a pomegranate lemonade that was the perfect amount of sweet and tart! Highly recommend going here for a fun date night experience! Our server was also amazing she explained each course throughly along with answering any questions we had! Will definitely be going back again :)

It was a bit pricey but for the experience it was awesome. It was good walking distance from the hotel my partner and I were staying at. We came to celebrate our last night in town here with the four course for two. While it was very busy, we were seated quickly even without a reservation. Everything was explained to us and we had a great time with each course. Our server, Galileo (?) was super personable and made the night even more fun. Highly recommend for a date night!

The wife and I had a really good experience here celebrating Valentine's Day. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. The only minor negative was the booth was very tiny. Nico, our server, was excellent with a nice blend of friendliness and professionalism to make the dinner a fantastic experience. We'd heard the restaurant had been in decline, but I think it is worth another look based on our experience. The extra touches for Valentine's Day were also well executed. The last tip - come hungry as you get a lot of food!

OMG this place has my heart. It was one of the highlights during my visit to Portland for the first time. Parking was super easy to find as I went on a weekday evening, and the place is in a quiet location downstairs of downtown Portland. I was waited on by Kim and she made my experience very pleasant and worthy of coming back for more. I was by myself but she was kind enough to accommodate me with the four-course experience (for one) that is normally created for two people. This included an appetizer cheese fondue, followed by a hearty salad, then a main entree with so many options and signature sauces, ending lastly with a dessert fondue. Everything was amazing and I'm so glad that I saved my appetite all day until I arrived here. I surely was stuffed by the time I left, and was feeling pretty satisfied that I got to try so many different tastes all in one sitting. For the first course, I was provided three different types of bread, green apple, broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots. The green apple was surprisingly tasty and one of my favorite items to use with the loaded baked potato (minus the bacon) cheese fondue. The salad was also one of my favorite things on the menu. It was made perfectly with peppercorn ranch, croutons, arugula, scallions, and shredded cheddar cheese. All of my favorite ingredients in a salad! I am vegetarian and sensitive to mushrooms but Kim kindly accommodated my dietary needs and substituted more potatoes for the mushrooms in my entree course. I was very happy with that. The impossible polpettes were also very tasty with the mojo broth that I chose from the four options provided. At this time, I was starting to hit a wall but kept a little room for dessert. The dessert course was very special to me. I chose the pure milk chocolate fondue and it came with so many variety of goodies to dip with. Out of the ten items provided, my favorites were the shortcake, strawberries, and bananas. I'm sure everything else was fantastic, but unfortunately I had no more room to try them. The mai tai that I ordered was also delicious and came in a cute tiki cup with umbrellas. I'm so glad that I chose to come here for dinner during my visit to Portland. Not only do the friendly staff keep checking on you every five minutes to make sure you're well accommodated, but they also make sure to time it perfectly with how fast you finish each course. This was one of my favorite things. I highly recommend for special occassions, or even if you're just like me touring a new city for the first time. This place is amazing, and I feel like the overall experience is underpriced considering how lovely everything turned out to be. Would definitely return here if I visited Portland again!

Served by Ollie and I can't say enough good things about him. He was very thorough in his explanation of the menu, and made sure we were well taken care of. We were here to celebrate a birthday, and he made sure to acknowledge our Birthday Girl and make her feel special. The food was outstanding, and portions generous. For the main course the Teriyaki Beef was the hands down favorite at our table. If you get the chance try to the Chocolate Explosion dessert pot. Fireworks at the table - LOVE IT!

This was not our first visit to Melting Pot. We have been loyal customers since their Arizona location first opened, and have enjoyed dining at their Colorado, Tennessee, and now Oregon locations. While I understand that New Year's Eve is a busy night, it felt as though service was slower than usual. After receiving our salads, we waited a significant amount of time for our entrée to arrive. During this time, a waitress (not ours) passed by several times and even had to adjust the heat on the Court Bouillon to prevent it from boiling away before the meat was brought to the table. Additionally, my husband had ordered a drink from the bar, unfortunately, it was made incorrectly and tasted awful. He had to ask the waiter for some sweet and sour mix to improve the flavor. After finishing the drink, it took quite some time before the waiter checked in to ask if he wanted another. By then, we were nearly done with the entrée, so my husband opted for water instead. I had ordered hot tea, but it was served lukewarm. I requested a new pot of hot water, and I appreciated that it was promptly brought to the table. However, throughout the rest of our meal, I was not asked if I wanted more hot water or another drink, which would have been a nice touch. On a positive note, the meal itself was exactly what we've come to expect from Melting Pot, and we enjoyed it thoroughly. It would have been even better if the fondue had been prepared at the table, as it is at other locations, as that is a key part of the experience for us. Lastly, I was disappointed to find that the Wi-Fi was not functioning well, especially since there is no cell phone signal in the downstairs area. Overall, while we enjoyed the meal, the service and certain aspects of the experience left something to be desired.

Jerry was an absolutely amazing waiter and has the best service. He was funny, super welcoming & and overall made the experience great. The food was amazing with so much flavor. I would definitely recommend!!

Came here a couple times. Quality of food was good, I liked the sweet options more than the savory options. Service was a bit slow, we had to keep flagging down a waiter rather than the waiter frequently checking in on our table. Ambiance was quiet and not too busy

I really enjoyed my experience here. I dined with a friend and we ordered the Big Night Out dinner for two. The restaurant was clean, lit warmly (not too bright and not too dark, and the server was okay. There were times we were waiting for drink refills or more food. Overall, I enjoyed the food and experience. The food was great and tasted fresh. My only criticism is the 4th course with the chocolate fondue was super sweet. We couldn't finish the course. It felt like diabetes waiting to happen. I would happily visit this restaurant again. It's unique and not just dinner, but an experience.

Depends on what you are looking for, this is a place is you want good fondue or quality meat and seafood. It is intimate, dark, and exciting. But the meal isn't good.

So, apparently a 6pm reservation means that's your reserved time to join the line. No idea when you'll get a table even though the place was half empty...

This experience was more on par with a 3.5 rating. The restaurant was a bit difficult to locate (down the stairs with lack of visible signs). The decor is a bit dated but the space is very clean. We were seated with our reservation and our server immediately greeted with and grabbed drink orders. He was very helpful in navigating through the menu. They provide enough food at each round, I was so full. The broth was okay, a bit bland. The meat was a bit chewy. The lobster was the best part of the meal and it was delectable and buttery.

For my first time here, I was quite disappointed. For starters, the humidity in here was deplorable. It was so hot and gross, simply standing in the lobby made me feel like I was in a Roman bath house. The service seemed minimal, as if no one worked there. It's also really dark in here and wifi signal is next to none. We also had a reservation for a specific time, and even with that we had to wait around 45 minutes to get our seats. It was also confusing because there was so many empty tables and we only had 3 people, and the obvious, a reservation. The food tasted great, but that's because I cooked it. You cook everything yourself at your table, except the desserts. The amount of money you pay, to cook for yourself, and with a small amount of food, it's just not worth it. You get unlimited veggies and bread, but that still doesn't make up for it all. They don't have bratwursts here either, which is rather odd considering it's one of the most popular cheese fondue combos. And for cooking all my food, it took forever to get the food to begin with. We were at our table for almost 3 hours, mostly because it took forever to get anything. Fondue in a dark Roman bath house? I'm not sure if I'll be back

It was our first time coming here and definitely well worth it!! We will be coming back again. Our waiter Jerry was amazing and very helpful!! The food was great and the restaurant was very nice

Summary: Most of the food was of great quality, but a few items were only okay; for the prices that were charged, I would expect high quality on everything. Still an enjoyable experience, but be prepared to pay a premium if you go the full course. It's fairly easy to get to the Melting Pot. There's a parking garage just across the street, so parking isn't an issue. My wife had made reservations, so we were seated immediately. The decor does feel a little dated and worn. Sat in a booth that was probably a little small for me, and the booth bench wasn't attached to the frame so it moved around easily. The servers were all great. Anything unclear was explained, everyone was friendly, we were checked in on often, and got water refills often. So, zero complaints about the waitstaff! We opted to get the Bigger Night out, and chose the Alpine cheese fondue with charcuterie, individual salads (I got a California), Bourguignonne for the meat/veggies, and then the Flaming Turtle chocolate for dessert. We also got drinks; I got the Key Lime Pie. I'm not overly picky with cocktails, but it was a little underwhelming for $13. I got the key lime but not really the pie part; and I say this as someone that really like Key Lime Martini cocktails. The rim on these kinds of drinks are usually made of crushed graham crackers, but this felt more like graham cracker dust; the rim became soggy very fast and had kind of a odd texture. My wife and our friend really enjoyed their cocktails, though. The cheese fondue itself was really good, but the bread felt like it was day-old bread. The cheese really saved it, and while I realize it's the star of the that course, and can cover up not-so-fresh bread, it could've been better. The California salad was really good! The meat fondue was good, the meat selections did feel like they were quality. The filet, steak, and chicken were excellent. The mushroom ravioli was also very good! The chocolate fondue was excellent as well, though the rice crispy treats felt a little stale. If this wasn't so expensive, it probably would've been 4 or 5 stars. But for the Bigger Night Out, one round of drinks, a couple of add-ons (charcuterie, and some pot stickers), for 3 people it was $350 (that includes a 20% tip, again, the waitstaff were excellent). I'm fine with paying a premium on fine dining. But at that price I'm going to be a little harsh. Honestly, either the prices need to come down or some of the food items need to be a little fresher.

Loved the ambience, our server was Ezra, he was super helpful and had some great recommendations for us. We loved everything, you will not leave hungry! We will be back

Jerry did great! so friendly the past 3 times we have seen him. Amazing food! 5 stars every time, not even just him but everyone is so nice.

I appreciated that they had vegan fondue! However, I don't believe I would return! Maybe it was the vibes, or how dark it is in there lol.....

The Melting Pot is a lot of fun and definitely pretty good. I will say- if there is just two of you, you will leave very full. We started with the quattro formaggio fondue, which was good, followed by our salads course. The salads could use updating as they were not very good. I know this is a chain, but I feel like their menu should rotate more. Then the entree course came which I would say was also good, but they need to update the sauces that come with. Lastly, we got the pure dark chocolate fondue. We were already very full but of course had room left for chocolate, and this of course was very good. All in all, it was a good experience, and our waiter was very kind and helpful, but the restaurant feels a little out-dated. I think it may need to catch up with the times. Note, this place is not easily accessible. It is ~technically~ accessible but to even find the elevator you have to call a number.

I had a fantastic time dining here with friends before seeing Moulin Rouge, (down the street) - and our server, a young brunette gal working the front dining are around 5 pm on 1/11/23 was fabulous! She knew her stuff, had everything out timely and had a great personality. Being so kind as to keep our food coming because she knew we had limited time. There is also a very handsome young man, darker skinned that was soo sweet and took a bunch of photos of our group. I am not sure if he is a server, runner, busser or host, but he was an absolute doll! An older woman in a wheelchair was cruising through the restaurant and they were chatting it up like old friends and he knew her by name. He waved goodbye to her and was like "Goodnight Mrs so-and-so! Be safe out there!" (it was really cold, windy & rainy) It's not often you see young people so nice to the elderly and it warmed my heart. There was 7 of us. We shared a few bowls of cheese fondue and the had our own meat entrees. I was surprised that my bacon & gorgonzola fondue was so salty. It was good but not great so I ended up eating more of the spinach and artichoke one. I totally should have just done the Wisconsin Cheddar. I then ordered the Classic entre, which is shrimp, Memphis-Style Dry Rub Pork, teriyaki-marinated steak, garlic pepper steak & herb-crusted chicken breast. I cooked that in the court bouillon. My friends ordered the Coq Au Vin, but it has mushrooms so I stuck with my own. The juice is a bit bland but they give you dishes of sauces and the creamy horse-radish & teriyaki made my meat deeelicious! I had a fabulous time and walked away completely stuffed. The only downside is the price. I know they used to have happy hour so that is what I can afford. Luckily this time, a friend was treating and covered the whole bill.

You go down a somewhat sketchy set of stairs d it en to the basement from a street corner only to come to a cozy fundu restaurant. The setting is s intimate, the tastes somewhat unique. The dipping sauces, there are 5, all have distinct flavor. Drinks were reasonably priced. Service was friendly. Food is best with the cheese and the sauces. Overall sightly pricy for 2 @ 165 before tip.

We absolutely love all the fondu we have had at the melting pot! The service has always been great with very knowledgeable servers. It can be for a family night, a date night or just a regular night on the town. Not sure if they are required but we always make reservations, and if it is a special event they make it more special with nice little touches.

This was my first-time trying fondue and I am hooked! Came here to celebrate my birthday with my boyfriend. Our server led us to our table where they had put a birthday sign with a card and chocolates. Our server also took our photos and framed it for us. This was such a nice touch. We got the Big Night Out Dinner for Two since it comes with everything and added the charcuterie board and lobster tail. this experience comes with 3 courses, a cheese fondue, a savory fondue and a chocolate fondue. they have a menu where you can select the fondue for each course. Each person also gets a salad, and they have 4 options when we went. We got the Classic Alpine and it was delicious! Comes with a variety of bread, veggies and fruit to dip into the cheese. The charcuterie board was well worth the add on in my opinion since the meats went well with the cheese. The salads came after the cheese fondue, and they were okay. The fondues include a lot of food so if you don't eat very much normally (like me), I would save your stomach for the fondue courses. For the dinner portion, we got a ton of different proteins plus the lobster add on cooked in the Coq Au Vin style. The server will also bring out 6 different dipping sauces to go along with the meats. Also - the server will help prep the fondue (melt the cheese, stir in ingredients for savory base, melt chocolate). Lastly, we got the Flaming Turtle chocolate fondue. Lots of fruits and sweets to dip into the chocolate (thick and creamy). What's nice is that they portion the food so that there is enough for both people to try and typically provide 2 of each item. Overall - had a fantastic experience. My favorite had to be the cheese fondue and I highly recommend the Classic Alpine. Will definitely be back soon to try the other fondues.

Great place for a celebration. In the past it used to take forever to have a meal but it's a much faster process now. Food is terrific and if you like fondue then this is the place to go!

I've had many wonderful meal experiences at this location of The Melting Pot, but my most recent was particularly noteworthy. We were a difficult party due to some people avoidable issues, and the server and manager were exceptional. The accommodated us with genuine care and were just wonderfully helpful. Well done and thank you!
