Varina’s Saturday market blends family-friendly events with a focus on equitable food access and SNAP incentives. Backed by Henrico County and featured on Marketspread calendars, it’s a warm gateway to eastern Henrico farms.

Best omelette I’ve had in a long time and it was very affordable priced!! I’ll be back again. Set up was clean and the family working made me feel like I was a part of there family. So welcoming!

Such a pleasant experience! Absolutely recommend. They also participate in a special SNAP/EBT program, that promotes the accessibility of fresh fruits and vegetables by matching the EBT amount spent here on them! Come to the red tent at the beginning of the Farmer's Market, and they will give you all the information on it! Very kind people and relaxed environment.

Has grown quite well over the few years it's been running. Vegetables, cosmetics, food, coffee trucks, crafts, and various products are all available.

Go every week. Great food and vendors, all the vendors are very friendly and if you deal with them on the regular, you may get a real bargain or a food freebie

My first visit to the Farmer's Market. I was pleasantly surprised at the number of vendors there. A great variety, there were vendors with fruits, homemade jams and jellies, vegetables, desserts, handcrafted soaps and lotions, seafood, and several other vendors I didn't have an opportunity to visit. I am definitely going back before the Farmer's Market closes for the season around the end of October!!

The vendors are all very nice and there is a wide variety of produce. Live music, sometimes a petting zoo, and various crafts and snacks. A great way to spend Saturday morning with the family.

We ride our bikes here every Saturday! I always pick up a coffee and purchase produce and meat for the week while my husband takes the boys to get some berries and cookies. Having the Dorey Park Farmers Market has given my boys something to look forward to during these times with COVID. So lucky to have this in Varina!

Awesome collection of vendors. We enjoyed the brekki food truck and the fresh vegetables.

Yelp
I was highly impressed by this Farmer's Market-ESPECIALLY if you have kids. There is a table that if your children try a vegetable or fruit they are given a ticket to exchange for $2 dollars worth of fruits or vegetables. This makes it an exciting experience for children. More than one booth used organic or non gmo products and no to low spray produce. Due to the proximity to the splash pad it also makes it easy to make it a great morning for the kiddos.

Yelp
I've seen signage for DPFM for several years. Yesterday was my first visit. Won't be my last. I was impressed by the large number of vendors. My intent here is to critique the Farmer's Market, and not individual vendors. I was looking for good fresh Tomatoes. I left with a fair amount of food, but no Tomatoes. Too early in the season. In 2021, DPFM has some 23 full time vendors, at least 20 of which are in the food or floral business. And no fewer than 15 rotating producers throughout the season. The vendors are juried, which means that not just any bozo or bozette with a truck can pull up and begin selling. I wished I had brought a shopping cart, but on the grassy ground, that might have been a disaster. There were a few side-by-sides and golf carts. I did not inquire as to who was eligible for livery. So I purchased a few bakery and confectionary items. Next time I'll bring a canvas tote. Nearly all the vendors were masked. And every one I spoke with was super helpful and friendly. I had a list of vendor's that I intended to visit, but without a map, I could find only about half of them. I love this place! I'll be back next Saturday. Insiders Tip: Arrive early. The DPFM is open from 9-Noon, June through October. Much of the produce sells out well before noon.
