Ordered a take out order. First time. Wife is sick and needed hot and sour soup, it did not disappoint. It was spicy and not watered down. She was impressed. (could use some mushrooms). Egg Drop soup was delicious. Ordered apps Crab Rangoon, it was unique delicious with a spicy kick. Pork Egg rolls they were good, prefer insides not mushy but it tasted good. Spring rolls were good. Also ordered a Pepper Beef and it was the best I have had at a Chinese place in a long time. Overall a little pricey, but worth it. Much better quality, gonna try some of the other items.

The food came out quickly, very flavorful, and large portions! The workers were very nice and the chef even came out to check if everything was to our liking. HE WAS VERY SWEET. 10/10 all around!! We loved it

This was my first time here and I was really excited to try it because I had heard great things. However, if you don't like the taste of burnt rice don’t order fried rice here. I thought maybe they just left it in the pan too long so I asked the waitress and she said that’s just how their rice is because they don’t use a lot of oil like most places. So yeah rice was not it. And putting super hot soup into a plastic disposable bowl is beyond me. The waitress was nice though.

On a business trip, I stopped in on a Monday night, low traffic but service was perfect. Egg Drop soup was solid, as was the serving size of General's Chicken. A bit much sauce for the General's but the Chicken itself was great. Crab Rangoon was decent as well. Best part was the service but I was also one of the few eating inside so overall what you want from an American Chinese Restaurant with awesome Hispanic music playing in the back of the house.

This is no trash panda. General tso chicken is spicy and sweet and crunchy with a great portion. I'm not a huge review guy unless it is fantastic and this is really good. 20 bucks with a side and a drink. Probably most people would get two meals out of it. I highly recommend it. It is not the atmosphere place to go sit down. It is Chinese takeout and as far as I know Omaha's best for the money. I have been getting food from there for close to a decade for me and my kiddos.

My go to Chinese place in Omaha! The food is always fresh and the service is great! I often get take out which is very convenient. The food is ready quickly. I've been coming to Three Happiness for a few years now. My absolute favorite thing on the menu is their Peanut Butter Chicken, which imo is best with the breaded white meat (special request). Must try in Omaha.

Eating there for the first time and I enjoyed myself. The food was hot, fresh and filling. I had to take away the rest of my food. I loved the soup. The only complaint is that the guy at the reception was not joyful and full of energy, but I believe he had a long day and was tired. I AM DEFINITELY COMING BACK WITH MY FRIENDS.

Loved this place for years and it’s still so delicious! The cherry on top was getting two extra crab Rangoon in our order.

We picked up three happiness for a late dinner the other day. It was very tasty as always! Portions are huge so one order is definitely enough to split amongst two people. I think it's a little expensive but the portions definitely make sense paired with the cost. I'm just lucky that my husband and I like the same thing! We ordered Peanut Butter Chicken and were able to split it. We even had enough from our single order to give some to our toddler as well. Again, the portions are absolutely massive. The sauce on the chicken was perfect. The texture of the chicken was a little too crunchy for me (maybe had a little extra batter on it) but I've ordered it before and it was a little easier to eat. Staff is always very friendly and helpful whenever we go whether to dine-in or carry out. The restaurant is always clean on the inside as well. Will definitely continue to dine at Three Happiness!

As always I can't go wrong here. I got Kung Pao Chicken with steamed rice. The chicken was juicy & tender, lots of bell pepper & bamboo shoot. The Chinese red peppers brought the heat I enjoy. The brown sauce was flavorful and generous. I also ordered a quart of hot & sour soup so I'd have leftovers for a snack later. Altogether it was so satisfying. The place was busy but my order was ready when I arrived. It's a family restaurant and everyone was friendly. Even the phone operator. Highly recommended. .

visiting for the holidays...who the hell fries cashew chicken? It was the worst Chinese food I have had in a long time. Plastic plates, styrofoam bowls, but a compostable fork? They used to serve your meal on real plates when you dined in. Three Happiness used to be good Chinese but not anymore. The flavor and value no longer exist. The rice was bland, the soup was bland, the chicken was overcooked (incinerated), and the brown sauce was extremely sour. Don't waste your money here. Not a good value especially with the poor quality. Everything is fried! It's sickening to see what this place has become. I was a fan for years, but not anymore. Absolute yuck! For the money, go to the Rice Bowl!

I never received my order because they cancelled back in November. However I have been charged five times for it!!! I keep getting a refund but now the delivery service refuses to give me a refund even though I have an email from them acknowledging that I never received the order!!! I want my 23.07 back!!!

We discovered this place during lockdown when we were being intentional about ordering takeout to support local businesses. Their food never disappoints. There is a depth of flavor that I don't often notice in Chinese takeout. Flavors are layered and delicious. We've moved and aren't as close anymore, but we still make the drive to get our takeout from Three Happiness Express.

Used to be better but, still a favorite! They recently switched to smaller portions and the price hasn't reflected this change. My husband and I used to get two meals and that would last us each two or three meals worth of food. Now, we both eat pretty much our entire entrée on the day we order. That being said, their food is delicious! Their peanut butter, chicken, sesame, chicken, and broccoli Beef are my favorite. I always get a side of crunchy noodles too! Two things to be aware of: 1. Order ahead. It can take up to an hour at peak times to get your food even if you call ahead 2. Plan to generally take it to go. They have a small dining room and it can be more convenient to eat at home over in person.

This restaurant is poorly laid out and would benefit from a design update. Hopefully the fire gave them the opportunity to fix many of these flaws. The takeout business is a huge part of this restaurants business, yet the area for patrons waiting to pickup orders is mostly non existent. Most of the time customers take a seat at a table designed for eat in business, which should be sanitized again after that customer leaves with their order. One table in the center of the room is a catch all for takeout containers, silverware, napkins, and you name it. That should not be a focal point in any restaurant! That is just tacky and takes away from customer seating capacity. The service wait time is one of the longer you will experience in Omaha, and they make you aware of that prior to ordering. They have such a heavy load of takeout orders that unless you arrive for dinner at 2:45 pm, you can expect to experience the extended wait. Your waiter will brief you on expected service times. We have tried several different entrees from this restaurant, but many seem to share a similar sauce/flavor profile. Our favorite Chinese restaurants do a better job of differentiating the sauce used in each entree. The portion size at this restaurant is quite large. My recommendations for this restaurant would be as follows. Establish a drive thru to cut down on overall restaurant congestion. Create a separate waiting area inside the restaurant for ordering takeout and picking up takeout orders. Establish equipment/staffing specifically for takeout/drive thru orders. Establish equipment/staffing specifically for dine in orders. Have one additional cooking station that can be utilized to assist with either type of order (drive thru or dine in) to keep the service wait time at approximately half of previous average wait time. Update and relocate the bathrooms. The Beef Lo Mein, Sesame Chicken, Peanut Butter Chicken and General's Chicken have enough of their own flair and flavor appeal to rate this restaurant 3 Stars.

The best! I love the people, food and location. You cannot go wrong. Their lo mein is the best, loaded with veggies you don't get at other spots.

Three happiness has been my go to for Chinese food for over 10 years now. Their peanut butter chicken and sesame chicken are my favorite but I've never gotten anything bad from here. I always get the food to go and it's still piping hot when I get home. The portions are pretty generous, even though they used to be a little more generous. I've never eaten in hit they've got a small dining area if you need to. It's usually pretty busy because it's so good so I call a bit in advance to make sure I can get it when I want it - either way it's worth the wait!

We had a delicious lunch at Three Happiness Express. Previously, Bookguy has ordered his favorite dish, Mongolian Triple Crown with chicken, beef, shrimp, mushrooms, and onion in brown sauce for delivery several times and we decided to dine in the cafe instead of having delivery. It seats about 30 guests at the small tables. One table was right under a speaker which made it kind of loud so we moved. Service was very quick. Bookguy said his meal was as expected and he added a couple of egg rolls. I ordered a vegetable stir fry which came with rice and a spring roll. It was a giant serving with quite a variety of veggies: green beans, onions, green onion, baby corn, broccoli, carrots, mushrooms and others. Of course I had enough for more than two meals when I added the rice. It was an enjoyable lunch.

Date of visit: November 26, 2023 As our visit to Omaha was wrapping up, we decided some takeout Chinese to enjoy in our hotel room was the plan for the evening. Sadly, Omaha seems to have few well-rated restaurants specifically for Chinese food. I settled on Three Happiness Express as its star rating was superior to others and it was not far from our hotel, but was a disappointing experience. Staff however was friendly, and I'd go 2.5 stars for that if I could. My sesame chicken had a decent sauce but the rice was not fully cooked and the chicken was the opposite--several pieces were overcooked. Honey Chicken is what my husband went with and we weren't a fan of that, either. We had asked for utensils and that even appeared on the receipt attached to the bag, but didn't actually make it INTO the bag. Instead we received two crab rangoons that we didn't order but were the highlight of the meal. Also never visited a Chinese restaurant that did not give fortune cookies with the order.

I just left there on 6/6/25 got chicken fried rice. It would've been great if I had soy sauce and sweet n sour for my meal

ordered sweet & sour chicken, tofu sesame & fried rice. fried rice had no flavor , looked like tinted white rice. chicken was ok, tofu texture was like rubber. wouldn't order again nor recommend

Ate at three happiness today for first time in over a decade at least. It was solid for the most part. I have to say if you have done in customers don't use the cheapest tiny plastic silverware. Bad choice. My buddy got the Orange chicken and I had jalapeño chicken. My food tasted good but not many jalapeños in it. When it's called jalapeño chicken, kind of expecting to be a lot of jalapeños.. I had more carrots and green onions than anything. The orange chicken was a very generous portion and lots of sauce. This is a good lunch spot for sure but next time I would probably bring my own silverware haha .

Tasty food, as always. Placed a large to go order and all was packaged well for transport and ready on time. 4/5 stars because one of our entrees was wrong. We got two of one versus what we had ordered.

So, I'd heard people speak well of this restaurant. It was clean and bright and the counter service was good. I was not pleased with an additional service charge for using a credit card. Nor was I impressed with the Latin music bellowing from the kitchen. If your ideal Chinese food comes from a mall food court or a Pew Wei, this is the place for you. They had nice chopsticks, the food seemed freshly cooked, the sauce on the cashew chicken was salty but otherwise bland. The Shanghai tofu noodles seemed to be made from spaghetti and frozen vegetables- the fried tofu was good. The vegetable spring rolls seemed to be frozen but otherwise unremarkable.

In our years taking cross-country roadtrips through our great country, one of the more profound and repeated giggles is seeing how different states handle Chinese food. Hailing from Southern California, and living and working in a predominantly Asian-American community for the last 25 years, I am indeed spoiled rotten when it comes to Chinese cuisine. With full acknowledgement that I can leave my driveway and within 30 minutes, enjoy a meal that is Anhui, Szechuan, Cantonese, Jiangsu, Fujian, Hunan, Shandong, or Zhejiang... we always apply the appropriate level of expectations when looking for a Chinese place in another part of the country. As turn leads to turn, we found ourselves in Omaha for a few nights this summer, visiting my brother and his family who moved out there a couple of years ago. Someone suggested Chinese food as a great way to order something we could all eat at the house, and not have to go out... and my brother recommended Three Happiness. Always game to try something new, we looked them up on Yelp, found their menu, and phoned in an order for pick up. About 30 minutes later, we arrived to the small strip-mall restaurant... more of a storefront with a to-go counter, and maybe a couple of tables inside. With COVID, it's hard to tell sometimes if these places were sit-down spots, or what... but seeing that it is very close to the University, I assumed they had just opted to shut down their indoor seating. Overall, the food was pretty good. What we ordered: 1. Sweet and sour chicken 2. Broccoli Beef 3. Peanut butter chicken 4. Kung Pao Chicken 5. Veggie Fried Rice 6. Triple Delight 7. Tofu Lo Mein 8. Hot and Sour Soup 9. White rice Wife wanted the curry dish, but I was told no curry. This did not help me to (wait for it) curry favor with my bride... Almost every dish was the color red. I don't know what this means, but all of it-- including the Broccoli Beef-- was red. Not sure why. Pro-tip: Every dish comes with a helping of fried rice.... something I wish they had told us BEFORE we ordered fried rice and white rice. More rice that we knew what to do with. Like I said, everything was pretty good, although to be honest, there was not a lot of difference between the dishes-- all were sort of drowned in reddish sauce, with a mix of veggies and meats. And did I mention a big side of rice in each and every styrofoam clamshell? Hot and Sour soup is my favorite, and theirs had good flavor-- not a lot of "stuff" in it though. Maybe they poured it off the top instead of scooped it off the bottom, but there was very little egg, only a few pieces of tofu, and really no wood ear fungus, bamboo, pork, or much of anything with a crunch or chew. Fast food Chinese place in the heart of the country next to a college. C'mon, baby, this ain't fine dining. But it was hot, stuck to our collective ribs, and everyone had more than enough to eat for very reasonable prices. Next time, we're going to ask for chopsticks, too, because there weren't any in the bag. But yes... next time indeed. See you in a year, Three Happiness. 生意興隆!!!

Sadly chalk this one up to a COVID victim. Originally I had this place rated 4 very close to 5 stars. You're not coming here because it's authentic Chinese, you eat 3 Happiness bc of the portion sizes and great cost. I mean this used to be one of the greatest bangs for your buck in town. And the dishes were tasty don't get me wrong However, that is no longer the case. In recent times their portions have almost halved while the price has gone up. These changes combined with quality of taste mean we don't really eat here anymore

Great food - great people - brand new remodel for dine-in once again! We grabbed our order to-go but wowza does the place look so amazing after the remodel. I am so happy they are on the up and up. Three's will always be on my top list for Chinese in Omaha. :)

Definitely a favorite local Chinese spot! They can get busy so order ahead if you can! Our go to is their peanut butter chicken probably the best one in the metro area. Still saucy but the chicken is still nice and crispy. Their crab Rangoon and egg drop soup is a must! We've tried a ton of their dishes so definitely try the staples then venture off further into their menu! It's a lot of options! Parking is on the smaller side and they are right next to a busy Main Street so just make sure to plan ahead if you're pressed for time!

Gave this another try, I ordered the chicken wings again since I liked that and also ordered Kung Pao Delight (hot). Chicken wings were on point again and would highly recommend it. The Kung Pao Delight was mediocre, sauce was more on the salty side but then again it has whole peanuts on top. The crab rangoon was also more on the salty side IMO even w the sweet n sour sauce.

Premium price for poor portions. Entree had maybe 2 ounce of beef. It was literally all broccoli and sauce.

Absolutely Sucks! The delivery was supposed to take 35 minutes. It took well over an hour when I called to find out where it was. I found out they had dropped it off outside my door without knocking or sending a picture or letting me know in any way shape or form that it has been delivered so I get my phone food and it's ice cold and there is no silverware no sauces nothing. There has to be a better place to eat than this clown show.

Panda, but better. I've been coming to this place ever since my friends raved about it. This place serves up huge portions of delicious Chinese American food. Be sure to call ahead for take out because on a busy Friday or Saturday night it can take over an hour for your food to be ready! I typically order the Kung Pao chicken because I love the spice, or the orange chicken for the sweet and citrusy flavors. You can't go wrong with the sesame chicken though! The food has always been served piping hot and overflowing from the takeout containers. I love that an entree comes with a crispy Crab Rangoon. The customer service has always been efficient and polite. I like that they ask if I want any additional sauces. The space inside the restaurant is clean and tidy and you can get a glimpse of the kitchen where all the yummy food is being cooked in woks. I have also asked them to cater for a birthday party of ~15 guests and they were so friendly and helpful. Instead of individual portions, they recommended having the orders in aluminum serving trays for the rice, sesame chicken, and chow mien. I would definitely go back for any catering events in the future!

Three Happiness is our hidden secret which we love to show anyone who visits. The staff is very nice and the food is great. We always get the peanut butter chicken was absolutely delicious -- perfectly cooked with just the right balance of savory and creamy flavors. The egg rolls were crispy and packed with flavor.

So happy that it's open on Sunday! Overall it was decent average takeout. I got the Yum Yum chicken and a side of fried rice. The fried rice was bland. The Yum Yum was decent. Although I ordered online, I had to wait in line for about 10 minutes to get it. I wish there was a system for to-go orders.

Yuck. The food is not very good here. It is all served on plastic plates. Too sweet. Too expensive. Weird music playing. Mostly takeout with sketchy locals with tats and piercings. Girls saying, "like, like, like." I won't be back.

Maggots in the broccoli, will never go back. Based off the price and delivery fee I did not expect that. This is a very popular place for Chinese in Omaha. I can't imagine no one else has experienced this?

Just moved from Chicago, Il to Omaha, ne. Chicago has superb Chinese food. Decided to give three happiness express a try since it's close to my new home. I was hopeful til I opened up my package of food. I ordered fried rice which was a concoction of white rice and a bland of what I think is soy sauce. I also noticed there was no veggies or scrambled eggs which is how fried rice is typically made. It was the same for the lomein noodles... just a portion of bare noodles.. no sauce or veggies in the mix. I added crab Rangoons to my order too which was a slap to my face... I was so eager to try since it's one of my favorite appetizers, came to my surprise that there's no crab to be found!! Also the cheese was chive flavor... I mean if you're going to cook half ass, you shouldn't serve ppl food especially if it's paid for!! Waste of money and time!! Never again!

I visited here for the first time today. I had heard the great reviews and they were not wrong. The Kung Pao was the best I've had in Omaha. It came out hot and fresh. You can see the fresh spices in the dish. The beef was very tender and a little sweet which I love. The crab Rangoon that came with the meal had a great crisp shell. I ordered a hot and sour soup. It was good, not great. This place isn't very close to where I live, but I will be making the trip back to try additional dishes soon.

The food has a thick coating all over it. The wait is over an hour. They are rude, small little take out. Soup is very thick. The veggies are raw. How can anyone eat this?

I hadn't been here in a over a year but I was craving some Chinese takeout and it's right on my route home. I got an order of Yum Yum chicken and an order of sesame chicken. I wasn't really fond of either dish, both were heavy on the breading and too thick and sweet. There was just something off with it. Normally I finish all leftovers within a day or two but I ended up throwing some out. Probably won't be back here for a while, if ever.

Five stars every time! Their food is *chefs kiss* They are a take out only spot. It's best to order ahead and get there in time to pick up. Their peanut butter chicken is my favorite. The sauce is so rich, and so peanut buttery, but in all the best ways possible. The crab Rangoon is some of the best I've had. Not photographed, but their lo mein, fried rice, and egg drop soup are some of the best staple dishes I've had. Can't wait to explore the rest of the menu! Also keep in mind that they share parking with the businesses in the plaza, but parking is pretty easy to come by.

Ordered food to-go and when i got to the restaurant at the pick-up time was told that it would be an extra 30 minutes before the order was ready. Had the broccoli beef and chicken fried rice. Sauce on the broccoli beef had a weird sweetness to it. The peas in the chicken fried rice gave off a kind of burned taste that was very off putting.

Food was great, ambience was perfect for the culture, but the star of the show was their service, quick, polite, and spot on with our orders I recommend to everyone.

It was our first time trying here today. It was beyond what we expected! So yummy. I added photos that I haven't seen in the reviews before like the inside of the crab rangoon and egg roll. The employees were super nice and happy to accommodate us subbing dark meat for white.. it was a little small and hectic in there but it was clean and they had a large tv and music playing. No wonder why it was voted Best of Omaha 2023! We will absolutely be back, hopefully sooner rather than later!!!

This is the go to Chinese takeout spot, the Peanut Butter chicken is my favorite in Omaha. The portions are so big it ends up being two meals without breaking the bank!

I'm a regular at Three Happiness and will continue to order here as long as I live in Omaha as the bang-for-your-buck value is incredible. In many ways it is absolutely superior to its national competitor represented by a black and white bear. My go-to is the General Chicken which is a wonderfully generous portion loaded with fried rice, saucy chicken, precisely two florets of broccoli to keep the meal balanced and healthy, and a crab rangoon delicately placed to top it off. Typically one order will provide 2-3 meals for me. From time to time the estimated wait for orders has been upwards of 1.5 hours so make sure to call in orders ahead of time so you are not left starving. However the wait totally is worth it!

Not a bad option for takeout as the cost is reasonable and the food is quick. We enjoy the beef and broccoli, shrimp fried rice, and orange chicken. If you order online it is much more expensive than calling your order in. They also have alcoholic drinks at the register when you check out.

The food here is very good and flavorful. The decor is distinctly oriental without looking cheap like some places. Portions aren't as big as in one of my other favorites, but the flavors are on point, you don't need a ton of food if the food is good.

Although I've always been happy with this restaurant, they said 20 minutes to me on the phone and I showed up 25 minutes later. Only when I said my name did they just start making our meal after. On top of being late I ordered my wife and myself peanut butter chicken with an extra order of crab Rangoons. Both of our orders of peanut butter chicken were literally so hard we could not stab them with a fork. I ordered an extra order of crab rangoons and those were completely inedible because they tasted like plastic and had about the same consistency as it. Overall was not impressed with this visit as their quality of food has gone down hill. The portion size has significantly decreased as well. Both my wife and I used to get two servicing out of one meal and there was barely enough for one serving. I ended up throwing it in the trash. Glad I wasted $34 on this trash Edit: after talking with the manager she said there was nothing that she could do. Horrible customer service. Will not be visiting again.

I really wanted to like it since I live nearby and I've heard nothing but great things about the food here, but I did not like it all. I ordered 2 of their daily specials to try a variety of items, and was not impressed. The entrees are slathered in a sweet sauce that oddly has no flavor. The soups (I tried egg drop and sweet and sour) were extremely salty and oily. The color of the sauces are very odd and off putting. For example, the pepper chicken was shiny bright red- very strange.
