Tân Định Market

Nice local market, good to buy dried fruits. I bought dried Jackfruit and they where delicious. 100g for 25.000 VND, 11.2025. Also they have normal things for local Wholesale people. Fishmarket... take care about the prices. Bit high, ask before you buy! Enjoeyed also a real local soup there, good, but not hygnenic.

Typical market. Items on sale were more or less similar. Dominantly selling cloth, nuts and dried goods in the main area. There was a wet market behind it, food stalls on one side and mainly fruits stalls on the other side. There was this nice dried goods stall named A Muoi in it. Friendly staffs who can speak Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, and some English languages. Not pushy and were patience. They were more than happy to let you sample any item generously. The cashew nut with skin was plump and creamy. The macadamia nut was sweet and creamy. The pumpkin seed was nice. The dried mango was meaty, fragrant, and not overly sweet. The chilli pink guava was nice. The mango and lychee soft sweets had unique jelly liked texture, fragrant, and not overly artificially sweet. Yummy. This market was a 4/5

Tan Dinh Market This is a long-standing traditional market located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City. The market is divided into several sections: dried goods, household items, fresh food, and a food court area. If you want to experience the charm of a traditional Vietnamese market, you should visit this place at least once.

Tan Dinh market is about 50 meters away from Tan Dinh Catholic church. It's on a busy street so it can be hard to cross if you're coming from the other side. Typical of Vietnamese markets, clothing and dry goods are up front while fresh food is at the back.

If you want to buy food as souvenirs or to just munch on, this market is for you. There are aisles and aisles of stalls selling dried fruits, nuts, and sweets. We stumbled upon a stall with a very accommodating lady who gave us a bunch of free tastes. The prices here are a lot cheaper than Ben Thanh especially for the nuts since this market is catered more for the locals. Shop owners still have very good english though so language wouldn’t be an issue. I’ll be posting the friendly lady’s shop and if you like local sweets and candies, you should give her a visit. 💕

Bustling market that had restaurants, clothes , fruits, meats, seafood and everything in between. Good spot to wander around and see how the locals live.

This market is great! A lot quieter than Ben Thành market which also means that the items are a lot cheaper as well. There’s not a lot of flashy items to buy like branded things but a lot of basics and dried food and snacks. I love that the vendors weren’t in your face trying to get a sale like they are in Ben Thành market. If you need socks and tops, dresses or fabrics, this is the place to go. The best part about this market is the food vendors the entrance. The food was delicious such as hủ tiếu, cháo lòng, bún bò Huế and other tasty dishes. There is a couple of very popular chè (dessert and drinks) vendors there as well.

It’s a very local market. More local than Ben Tanh. Can be abit complicated. There are stalls selling various dried goods and a large section with many stalls selling clothes. I come mainly to buy coffee beans. They are way cheaper than those at supermarkets and cafes. There’s also a wet market with dubious hygiene standards lol. Anw it’s quite a sight. Worth a visit!
