Downtown Hillsboro’s Oaxacan kitchen serving tlayudas, memelas, and rich moles. Tied closely to local Oaxacan cultural events, it brings regional flavors to Main Street with handmade tortillas and quesillo.

Amazing! The salsa is so spicy and good. If you want mild ask for pica de gallo. The tacos are huge! Best Mexican food in the Hilsboro/ Portland area.

Excellent choice. We tried the other location (the one that’s located inside the grocery store just a few mins down the street) and we were struggling with the incredibly loud radio/noises. We came to this location instead and we are so glad we did. The portions are huge!!! Delicious food and good service. The horchata is wonderful too. We ordered the mole plate and the hurrache. We will be back!

Authentic flavors, tasty, great service. Our new favorite Mexican place in the area.

Took me right back to my Mexico vacation. The mole is so rich and complex in flavor. I almost ate the entire dish by myself. This is a new favorite for me. I can't wait for my next visit.

Second time coming back here! I ordered a torta with carne asada. I’d probably ask for a little more meat next time but it was still very good. Not pictured unfortunately, are the tacos al pastor and carne asada but they were definitely the highlight- Very good flavor! All around great food and service!

Lunch was good when I went, tried to go back for breakfast since their menu looks great, looking forward to it for a long time, but I'm rarely on this side of town in the morning. Sadly, they are not actually open for breakfast despite google and Facebook hours saying they open at 9 am, and have a breakfast menu on the website.

Cute little Mexican restaurant in downtown Hillsboro across from the food cart pod. I got a wet burrito and it was huge and pretty good, but typical for Mexican food in the area. The place was dead, so I hope they usually fair better than us being the only ones in the restaurant (on the daily). Prices are a little spendy. I think your average meal here is between 17-25 dollars per item.

This is not your average Mexican restaurant. I stopped by by accident and I’m pleased I didn’t miss this jewel. The mole is over the top and presentation surprised me. Do try the Oaxacan Mole. Even if you think mole is not for you, give it a second chance. I did it following the waitress recommendation and I do not regret. Very balanced flavor 😋 Also, treat yourself with a Memelita. It was my first time and I loved it :)

Yelp
They were able to get us vegan and gluten free tacos that were delicious! All we had to do was ask :) Super friendly and helpful staff and a lively decorated space and a big window.

Yelp
I should give them 5 stars, like everyone else, but I review on honesty and experience. Here's why I should only give them 3 stars: 1. No one to greet us. We rang the bell, not one, not twice, but three times, waiting in waiting for someone to appear. 2. We were the first ones to be there. There were a single woman, then a couple showed up. And we're the 4th customers to be served. (Maybe, because we're taking our time to order? And it wasn't a quick order?) Wasn't first come first served? 3. I was grossed out, with the brown colored quacamole. I asked for a plate, so I can remove it. I like my avocados green and fresh. He said: they're fresh. I told him, I don't like quacamole, anyway. (In the photo, it's green). I didn't tell him: I get sick eating quacamole. My fault, I should have said: No quacamole, please. 4. The restroom, was locate down the hall, and we have to use the key hanging on the wall. 5. My 'meat' on my Nachos, had too much grizzle, I had to spit them out. Other than that, we have a nice to-go container. We took MAX on a rainy day! Positive: We came to Hillsboro to dine for lunch, at a Mediterranean restaurant, but we couldn't find it, and we didn't want to eat inside a Food Cart, and we spotted Thai, Vietnamese and Mexican restaurants and we picked this, because of the rain, and it's our next favorite dish to eat. And we were cold! We want to eat inside a warm restaurant.

Yelp
Very enjoyable lunch. We both had the wet burrito. One with mole and one with green salsa. A fun mix of Latin music. Interestingly none of it Mexican. A word of mouth recommendation. Thanks.

Yelp
Traditional preparations with fresh ingredients. Ordered an additional dish to go it was so yummy and very reasonably priced. Hillsboro suffered a massive fire this winter. It has been hard on all the businesses yet they persevere!!!
