My aunt and I decided to try Frank’s Pizza and Pasta and they did not disappoint! My aunt ordered the steak and cheese, and you could instantly tell they used a high-quality cut of steak—it was packed with flavor. I went for the Honey Boo Detroit-style pizza and also tried the Buffalo Chicken Pinwheel. Both were absolutely delicious—fresh, cheesy, and full of flavor. The spot itself is on the smaller side, but there is seating available. Since they tend to get busy, I recommend going right when they open for the best experience. The customer service was also excellent—the staff was friendly, welcoming, and gave us great recommendations on what to try. If you’re looking for fresh pizza, amazing cheesy goodness, and a place that truly takes pride in their food, this is definitely the spot. I’ll definitely be visiting again!

Tried Frank’s Pizza & Pasta and absolutely loved it! We got the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich — super cheesy, flavorful, and the beef just melted in our mouths. The vegetarian pizza was delicious too, with that perfect balance of crust and toppings. The place has such a cozy, small-town charm — it feels warm and welcoming, like you’re eating at a local favorite.

It’s the best pizza that I’ve had in Maryland and I’ve had a lot. It seems to me that the closer you get to New York that the pies get better so I don't know how Franks does it. There are some notable spots everywhere in all of our neighborhoods with good pizza but Franks is my favorite spot and I reside in northern HC which is no where near Overlea. The consistency with quality food/pizza is always the same. The cheese steak is decent and seizable but not my favorite, as that sub is on Back River Neck Road. My opinion only! The pizza at Franks is amazing with a crust chewy and has a hint of butter in my opinion. The pies have a great portion of sauce and the pizza always has a subtle crisp throughout the bottom. Service is sometimes (often) a hustle so be ready to order but the staff at Franks will “always” take care of you!

What a hidden gem! I’m so glad I gave them a try today. The pizza and service did not disappoint! The staff was also so friendly and inviting. I got the classic cheese pie & a garden salad and devoured both! I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area and recommend to others!

Google
We saw this pizza place on tiktok, and we drove 1 hour and a half to try it. Food was great worth the drive. The guy suggested us the Margarita Pizza, said it was their best seller, but we did not like it much, we tried a slice of the pepperoni, man it was very good. We should’ve ordered that instead. Liked the fries as well. Also ordered old bay chicken wings (was a bit salty). Service was great. And the Cheesesteak wow! We ordered extra for to go after we tried it. This izza restaurant is highly recommended. Definitely will come back! But rather order the pepperoni or cheese pizza instead.

Google
First time- Wow! The best Pizza around- hands down. Cheesesteak - same. None better than this. Amazing operation - fun to watch them kick out all these orders. Wonderful family owned place.I can now see why it is so popular. Gonna be a regular and it’s 17 miles away from my house.

Google
I think this place needs to come down off its pedestal. The food was ok, but 46$ for 2 cheese steaks was ridiculous. They don't even display their prices and menu prices on Google maps must be years old. I'm sorry Franks but no cheeseteak in Maryland is worth what you are charging. This was my 1st and last visit. I wouldbrather go to Philadelphia Style on Philadelphia rd. For 34$ I get 2 12" subs, 2 fries and 2 sodas. The subs taste no different. Chaps pit beef is even a better choice in my opinion. Then again I only have hundreds of reviews, no reason to trust me. :) you can look at the pictures that's definitely not a $22 sub. There are two subs weren't even as heavy as one of Philadelphia styles.

Google
I don’t write reviews unless I truly feel compelled. As someone who lived in NYC for 8 years and has tried ALL of the best, Franks has changed my world. The pepperoni margarita I ordered has entered my top 3. Keep going guys!

Yelp
Pasta dishes are comparable to what you'd get in Little Italy-- delicious! The pizza has so much flavor and the cheesesteak subs are chef's kiss! The owners and crew are super friendly and happy to make the customer's experience as pleasant as possible. Been going there for over 30 years and the quality has always been top notch.

Yelp
Mission accomplished! First visit called for their famous cheesesteak subs! Three of us ordered and savored. One of us said they liked real mozzarella cheesesteak subs. Some may like it better than Frank's Cheese Au Jus. I liked it just great, with nearly 20 minutes to wait as most customers wanted cheesesteaks. Funny, considering Portnoy was big on their pizza, which will be me next item to try next visit! Ambiance? Well worn and comfortable. Great to finally get in and enjoy this greatness as the "One Bite" greatness lives on. Try !

Yelp
I was in town for work and ordered Frank's for lunch one day. The pizza was decent especially for Baltimore. I loved hearing about the story during Dave Portnoy's visit and I always support + root for small businesses, but overall the pizza was not that impressive. I definitely had higher expectations than what it delivered.

Yelp
I've heard great things about Frank's. We stopped in on a weekday while in the area. It's a small spot in a little plaza. You order at the counter and there is a small amount of seating at the front and at the back of the restaurant if you want to eat in. We went at non-peak time; there was still a bit of a line for takeout and some people eating inside, but the line went quickly and there were awesome staff at the counter and in the dining area to clean tables and make sure orders were taken quickly. We decided to try a small pizza with mushrooms and sausage. It came out hot and fresh. With my first bite, I nodded at my bf with enthusiastic happiness. This pizza is the best I've had since moving to Baltimore, and in the top 5 of pizzas I've had overall. The cheese was good quality and perfectly melty, the sauce was a great ratio on the pizza and had a great flavor, the toppings were generous and good, and the crust was delish. Overall, Frank's is worth the hype I've heard! I've heard their cheesesteaks are great also and saw another customer was eating and can't wait to go back and try that!

Yelp
The food here is absolutely delicious!! It's out of the way for us and we still make our way over. It's hard to say if I like the pizza or Philly better so I suggest you get both!! Everyone who works there is really nice and we've even dined in and they have several tables and we happened to walk in when one opened up. If your in the area go check them out!

Yelp
Franks was a delicious experience from start to finish. It's a cozy, family owned spot where the service feels genuine and welcoming. The atmosphere has that nostalgic old school pizza shop charm but with a bit more personality and heart. The cheesesteak on a seeded roll with Cooper Sharp was perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. The pizza was phenomenal crispy, cheesy, and clearly made with care. The Tuesday deal of two pies for $22 is a steal and a great way to sample more of the menu. It's a bit of a drive for me, but parking was easy and stress-free. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Best pizza:::: period! Sausage slice was amazing. Believe the hype but be prepared for the line of followers. Best crust!

Yelp
Stopped here on whim on my way to IKEA. I got two slices of cheese to go since that appeared to be the only vegetarian slice available. The pizza was incredible. The service was fine if a little awkward. The restaurant itself appeared clean and comfortable. I will be back to get a Bianca.

Yelp
Honey Boo Boo deep dish pizza was my selection today. Didn't disappoint. Sweet and salty and crispy and buttery all at the same time. I can tell the ingredients are fresh and the crust Is spongy perfection Deets :I called order in and it was actually ready earlier than anticipated. Received a text that it was ready. Walked right up to counter and was out the door. Counter help pleasant. ***If I could sit in here and eat everything on the menu I would.***

Yelp
Second time visiting Frank's, and what a difference this time from the perspective of how busy they were. Seems the trick is to order between lunch and dinner and weekdays have much less wait than weekends. The last time I ordered it was a two hour lead time, this time about 35 minutes. Smaller spot with limited seating and located in a strip mall so nothing fancy. It seems they're constantly busy for pick up/takeout First visit, we ordered a 12 inch pepperoni, sausage pizza and really enjoyed it. It's more of a lighter/thinner crust and closer to New York style with just the right balance of toppings and sauce. Second visit, we ordered a bit more for sharing and tried a few of the other pizzas. White pizza was a hit & we added basil which paired well with this no sauce pie. Another pizza that we enjoyed was the Mediterranean-we added black olives and ground beef just to add more protein and really were impressed with this pie-mostly because we haven't been able to find a proper pesto sauce Pizza and this definitely was the one. We also tried the Gino -Detroit style pizza with pepperoni, sausage and it was tasty given the crispy crust edges and spicy cup pepperoni. Last but not least we got a 12" cheesesteak since we heard so much about this sandwich. Solid seasoned steak and the portions were generous-took a double take at the $20 price but this is a two person Sub. If you order online, have your number ready for pickup. Both visits, It's been quite chaotic, again, second time less given around 4 pm. Service has been friendly and quick but would advise paying attention to the lead time for your order which is shown on their website. Solid spot for tasty pizza and cheesesteak -we will be back!

Yelp
Cheesesteak lovers, run don't walk! I've had this spot on my list for a while now and finally made the hour-long drive to Frank's Pizza & Pasta in Baltimore, MD and let me tell you, it was so worth it. I ordered the cheesesteak and it was absolutely busting with flavor. Juicy, cheesy, perfectly seasoned, and generously packed every bite was messy in the best way! The roll held up beautifully and the cheese was melty perfection. Ordering is simple: you place your order at the counter, pay, and they'll call your number when it's ready. It's seat-yourself style inside with a cozy, old-school vibe. The staff was super friendly and patient while I stared at the menu like I was making a life decision . They answered all my questions and made me feel totally welcome. Frank's has that neighborhood pizzeria charm, and the food delivers on all fronts. I'll absolutely be back and next time, I'm trying the pizza!

Yelp
This cheesesteak really is the truth. Many say Cheesesteak & Co is better, but I've tried both fairly recently and I gotta say Frank's really edges out the competition. One - the bread is better than Cheesesteak & Co's bread. They have seeded rolls. Two - the steak has more of a bite to it. Not tough, but firm enough that it gives an attractive bite. Cheesesteak & Co's steak is more chopped and mushy (not that it's bad because I really enjoyed theirs too). Lastly, the Cooper Sharp Cheese is just the icing on the cake sealing the deal for me. Hands down best Cheesesteak in Maryland!!

Yelp
Saw their food truck in Towson . I had to try their cheese steak sub. I got in line I noticed the food truck was very clean & every one on the truck was very friendly. The line was long but the sub was worth waiting for.It was one of the best cheese steak subs I have ever had. I cant wait to go to their restaurant and try their food.

Yelp
TLDR: Came to Frank's after getting the nod from Dave Portnoy. Place is always busy so be prepared to wait. Apps were solid (buff chicken pinwheels + calamari), but the pizza fell short of the hype by being floppy and somewhat undercooked. Hit up Frank's Pizza & Pasta on a Thursday night and the Portnoy effect is real. The place was slammed from the time I got there around 4pm until I left. I managed to snag a small 2 top while my dining buddy ordered. Staff was super up front about the kitchen being backed up (45 min wait), which I appreciated. We weren't in a rush, so all good. We kicked things off with the buffalo chicken pinwheels, which may be one of the best things on their menu. Huge popover style buns overfilled with buffalo chicken, sauce, and bleu cheese. The calamari was another win. Lightly fried, not greasy, and came with a great marinara for dipping. Perfect apps to hold us over. Now for the main event, the pizza. We split a medium eggplant parm pie, which sounded amazing on paper. Unfortunately, this one just missed it's mark. Even though I asked for it well-done, it came out super floppy and messy. We tried letting it cool hoping to crisp up, but no luck. Needed a fork and knife for most slices, and the eggplant was kind of sparse. Flavor-wise it was fine, but not the level of execution I expected from such a raving review from One Bite. To be fair, the kitchen was clearly overwhelmed, and I get that this kind of sudden fame most kitchens are not staffed or equipped to handle. Overall, was satisfied with the meal and I will definitely give them another chance, however they are not even in the same conversation as some of the pies I have tried in Brooklyn and New Haven with similar One Bite Scores.

Yelp
Great pizza in Baltimore. Mozzarella cheese was spread out evenly and the sauce was also tasty. The crust can be more moist. Cheese steaks are huge and expensive but you get lots of meats !!! It was a bit salty and meat quality is meh. If you are in the area, it's worth a trip.

Yelp
Every time I think about going to Franks, I remember how good the food is there. Then I ask myself "why don't I go there more often?". Today I was reminded why, THE SERVICE! It's already known that the service is slow at Franks, so I went in expecting a 35 minute wait. I arrived to pick my order up 40 minutes later just for this reason. I get to the counter and the guy says "it will be another 4 minutes". That's fine so now I'm waiting. Time goes on and on, but my order still isn't ready. It's now been over an hour since I placed my order and it still isn't ready. By now I'm ready to just cancel so I go to the counter and the young lady tells me "oh your order's been done and is right here". Nobody said anything! There wasn't any sorry for the wait, apologies etc. By now I'm so annoyed I just get my pizza and leave. I get home and my pizza is cold! How long was I waiting (over 75 minutes) while my order was done? It's too many other options to tolerate this kind of service. I will just go somewhere else from now on.
google avatar

Shirlonda S.

Yelp
The service was good although the wait was long; we will call ahead the next time. It was hectic inside because they were so busy however not so hectic that we didn't enjoy eating in atmosphere. The pizza was good as far as freshness and flavor. I received what I asked for however I would try a different kind of pizza the next time or the popular cheese steak. I had vegetarian pizza.

Yelp
Dave was right. This was a matter of thorough discussion with Jeremy before we went to Frank's. If you follow Mr. One-Bite, you may have seen that he gave both Pizza John's in Essex, and Rocco's in Glen Burnie high marks. Jeremy and I hated both (Rocco's pizza was burnt, Pizza John's is highly over-rated), so Jeremy refused to respect that Dave gave Frank's high marks for both the pizza and the cheesesteak. The restaurant was crowded when we arrived, and we had to ask a regular how to go about ordering. You order at the counter and they give you a number, which they will call out when your food is ready. You seat yourself. Although the front door was open, it was super warm in the restaurant, which makes sense considering the pizza oven never gets a break. We got a plain cheese pizza, wings, and a cheesesteak. The pizza was incredible; the crust is impossibly thin, yet remains straight when you fold it. Not greasy at all, and flavorful. I could have probably eaten the entire pie myself. I had two slices while in the restaurant, and another later at home, room-temperature and still perfection. The wings were good, but not stand-out. The cheesesteak (grilled onions and cooper sharp)... I'm sad that Frank's is in Overlea and not in my town. Or maybe that's for the best, because I'd eat them all the time. The best cheesesteak that we've eaten outside of Philly. Service is a little spotty. I can understand that it gets confusing when so many orders are coming in all the time, but we dined with a friend, who ordered a stromboli but Jeremy and I were halfway done eating and our friend's food hadn't arrived, so he asked them to box his stromboli. He watched the employee box it, and then she disappeared. It took asking three more employees before they could find it because they had labeled it as for Clark. Our friend is not named Clark. And when we asked for boxes for the remainder of our sandwich and pizza, the employee only brought one box for the sandwich. The three remaining slices of pizza wouldn't fit in the box, and the employee seemed slightly annoyed when we asked for another box. Again, I can understand that the dinner rush must get overwhelming and tiresome, so we just shrugged it off. I would definitely order from Frank's again. I don't think I would dine in again, though. Simply because the warmth of the restaurant and the small size of the dining area. I'm definitely going to need another one of those cheesesteaks. And a customer who told me that she has been ordering from Frank's for over 30 years highly recommended the pizza (they have it by the slice, too, by the way) with the eggplant and I adore eggplant. Would recommend

Yelp
We came with a friend to Frank's Pizza and Pasta. Now, we came from Southwest B-more so we were like, "the food better be good!" We arrived and it was a small place with limited seating. We chose a cramped booth in the back, surrounded by empty, ready for takeout, pizza boxes. We placed our order (cheesesteak sub, chicken parm sub, and pepperoni pizza) at the counter and sat back in our booth waiting for it to be prepared. We were called when our order was ready and got our food and came back to the booth to eat. I asked for my sub on a seeded roll, which didn't do anything special for it flavor-wise. The steak filling was massive and we could only image what the double meat would have been like. The taste was good with a nice helping of Cooper cheddar cheese to give the sub the depth of flavor that was needed. Not half bad. The chicken parm sub, was massive drenched in a red sauce and lined with meaty cheese on a decent roll. It was good. The pepperoni pizza arrived piping hot. To avoid "roof of the mouth with hanging skin" we waiting a minute for things to cool down and then got into the pizza....nice fermented dough flavor with a smooth red sauce and pepperoni that were not overly salty...nice pizza. All in all, a great place to get a cheesesteak sub, chicken parm sub, and pepperoni pizza, but we definitely need to come back to try out more of the menu items.

Yelp
I have been waiting to try Frank's for a long time and even made a Partiful invitation for this event with my friends. The menu looked amazing and even the pictures online looked impeccable. We cultivated the perfect order for our pizza party and we were SO HUNGRY AND EXCITED!!! Until... we ordered delivery and the estimated time of arrival was in FOUR HOURS from the time of order. HUH???!! I get that it was the weekend, but four hours is absolutely insane. We then tried to call the restaurant to switch it to pick-up or at least determine if that would be faster and we were on hold for over 25 minutes so ended up just hanging up because it was clear no one was answering. It's also safe to say that all of our food was cold by the time it finally arrived to our house. In regards to the food: the garlic bread was pretty average. The meatballs were a flavorful, juicy, and the red sauce had a really nice spicy kick to it. The cheesesteak was actually really good-- probably one of my favorite things. The bread was soft, but crunchy, and the meat to cheese ratio was perfect for my personal preference (70/30 meat/cheese). As stated, the food was cold so we had to reheat everything. The Margherita pizza was my favorite out of the two. I enjoyed the red sauce and the crust, which was super crisp and held up well under the toppings. The big mama burrata was wayyyy too sweet of a sauce for me personally, but my friends loved it so I would recommend it if you like a Detroit style, sweeter vodka sauce. It was $32 for FOUR SLICES though so that's a little insane (especially because it is mainly bread). Anyways, it seems like my partiful invite for this was not worth it because my friends and I were pretty disappointed overall. It did not help that our experience started four hours after we ordered. Probably would not try again.

Yelp
Went to Franks after following them on Instagram for a while. Pizza was good, mozzarella sticks were okay. Unfortunately the pizza we got was barely warm and we ordered and ate in shop. Still good and finished the whole thing, just wish it came out hot! Small selection of sit down tables/booths but overall a good experience if looking for decent pizza in the area.

Yelp
*Quality over Quantity*..Long review. Placed a pick up order via Toast Tab, 2 cheese slices and 1 cheese steak with green peppers and fried onions. The initial wait was 1.5hrs. When arrived, there is no where to park; folks are also waiting for their order. Popeyes has over flow. I walked in 10m before the order was said to be ready, thinking the 1.5 was the shop giving themselves grace and food would be ready to just pass out to customers. Wrong lol I didn't get to speak to anybody behind the counter for about 15m as it was complete chaos inside. Dine in orders, online pick up orders, delivery orders, and in store to go orders being filled at the same time? One has to go. The space is too small to do it all (with the hype). When I inquired about my order, I was informed slices cannot be accommodated due to size of oven with whole pizzas being made. Either I can take it off my order or get a small cheese pizza and pay the difference. I opted in for the small pizza as I already waited this long, what would it hurt? LOL. Waited another 20m for the small pizza to be done and that entire time the cheese steak was "still on the flattop". Cheese pizza: nice sauce, barely can taste the cheese, crust was tough. Cheese Steak: nice bread, No taste, onions and peppers large and did not mesh well. The cheese sauce was a bit loose so it didn't stick to the meat as much as you would have liked. While this was my first and probably only time visiting, for regulars-this moment in time will have lasting effects on future dining.

Yelp
On a quest to find the best cheesesteak in our area led me to Frank's. What I liked was it's a Mom & Pop shop with a massive menu & friendly customer service. It wasn't the best cheesesteak that I've had but certainly one I'd have again. My daughter gave her slices of pizza a 9, they were huge and filling. Frank's is tiny... quaint... not a lot of seating, but from my observation, they seem to have a good relationship with the community, remember their repeat customers, and on my way out, one customer raved to me about the quality of the food, including the sauce that they use on their pizza, and to me, that speaks volumes.

Yelp
First, BELIVE THE HYPE!!! I loved Philly cheesteaks and this is the closest with out going there and the Cooper cheese!!!! You can walk in and you get your order in quickly, they know what they are doing and super friendly. Very chill old school vibe, sat down and had some pizza too WHICH IS ALSO GREAT!!

Yelp
Wow! I've heard nothing but good reviews and finally got to check it out. This place did not disappoint! I ordered the meat lovers pizza and it was so crisp, saucy and flavorful! Just the way I like my pizza. This place stays busy so I'm glad I ordered ahead and was able to pick up my order as soon as I got there. Nonetheless, everyone was very nice, quick and to the point! It's a cute spot inside, the delicious aroma hits you as soon as you walk in! It's a good amount of seating but again it stays packed in there so good luck getting a seat! I can't wait to try more things off the menu.

Yelp
The picture I took of my cheeseteak does it no justice! I've unfortunately only heard of this place within this year. Makes me mad because I know I've been by this place literally hundreds of times! Guess better late than never. When you enter you'll notice that this place has been around a while just based off of the decor. Honestly, it's not a bad thing. It's one of those things where you know the food has to be good because of how the inside looks. There's a lot of hustle and bustle behind the counter and that's because there's a constant flow of customers coming and going. I see why now. I ordered just a plain cheeseteak. Nothing on it besides mushrooms. I wanted to try it "Philly style". This way i knew exactly how good it was. Next time I'll get the usual, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and mayo. I took the first bite and immediately knew i needed to take another bite to make sure I wasn't tripping. After the second bite, my suspicions were confirmed. This was the best cheesteak in the city! Seasoned well. Not too greasy. I barely lifted my head as I ate. I probably looked like an ostrich with my head down. Go get you some! You won't be disappointed. Matter of fact, tell me when you're going so we can go together.

Yelp
Incredible food & service with a storied past, family atmosphere, and old school vibe. We got the burrata buzz and the Philly cheesesteak with long hots. Perfection. You can't go wrong with Franks!

Yelp
Frank's pizza was a long drive from where we live and we visited at a time when we were trying to find 5 star pizza in MD. The reviews gave us hope but for us it was just average. Coming from NJ/NYC, I wouldn't call this NY pizza. The place is small and seating is limited. We ordered a pie and waited probably 30 minutes for it because the place was packed. It wasn't worth the hour drive for us again but if you're in the area and not too picky, Frank's will fill you up.

Eri K.

Yelp
I was at an O's game and a gentleman behind me overheard me talking about Pizza John's in Essex. He said, you have to try Frank's pizza off Bel-Air Road. It's better than pizza John's. Well today, I tried it. Pizza John's - you have nothing to worry about. Sorry, I strayed, Frank's is pretty much Domino's Pizza. But way more expensive.

Yelp
There no better New York pizza in Baltimore. And of course I tried the Cheese steak! Freshly sliced prime rib on a seeded hoagie with sharp colby cheese and hot peppers!? Oh my goodness! When can I go back!? I travel up and down the east coast for work and I'm always looking for fun, local and memorable places to eat. The service is top notch and I absolutely love the ambiance. Do not miss this gem!

Yelp
Yelp reviews Baltimore is always going to be one of those places where you can get a great meal and it's a destination spot for great eats, for tourists and locals alike. We headed to Baltimore on a Friday night, Pie Day no less, to try Franks. It's packed but we surprisingly find parking and a table after we ordered. We ordered a cheesesteak with the toppings we like, onion rings, fries, a small pizza with half pepperoni and a couple drinks. The atmosphere is very energetic and enjoyable even. Everyone is settled in at their booths or tables or picking up, ready to go home, to enjoy some good food. We knew beforehand that there would be a wait which works out when you're first timers wanting to try different things and need your meal spaced out. That was the situation here. Our pizza came out after about 20-30 minutes. It was fantastic. The dough was crispy and light and the toppings consisted of quality ingredients. Having had pizza extensively in NY, I can definitively say that this pizza hits their mark of dubbing it NY style pizza. The cheesesteak came out after about an hour, and it too was impressive but not overly...let me explain. First before this visit, I have never had the infamous Copper sharp cheese on any cheesesteak that I have had. So last night was a first. I was excited to see what the hype was about it but it wasn't an impressive addition. Now I for sure know that I am in a very small minority who feels this way (probably just me and me alone) but Cooper sharp does not belong on a cheesesteak; it's too rich and too sharply flavored of a cheese to be paired with quality seasoned ribeye..which this was. Now this is of course my personal opinion, but the cheese overpowered the sandwich and drowned out not only the steak but the other toppings (I got ltm, fried onions, and both kinds of hots). The bread was incredibly delicious and made the sandwich light if you will. I got the seeded roll and it was perfect. Next time, if I get the cheesesteak, I would opt for provolone or another mild cheese..or no cheese at all. The onion rings were also delicious. Crispy, well battered..my husband got fries and he said they were just ok. Overall we'd come back and to see if we would enjoy other menu items. For instance, I'm excited to try the burrata pizza.

Yelp
Truly an ideal spot for a strong, classic offering: The restaurant is crowded--and rightfully so. The crust is crisp and light, the sauce is fresh and substantial, the cheese is cartoonishly gooey. For classic toppings and a definitive example of American pizza, this is it.

Yelp
Ordered the Cheese Pizza after an exhausting but enjoyable day at the Baltimore Aquarium. After the first two slices, I was reminded of the 2004 Detroit Pistons. This was not a NY style pizza to me, but something much better and much more memorable. That being said, I ordered something else that I considered the best dish I ate all year. I'll update the review later, their veal earned it.

Yelp
First let me say the place was mobbed. They were churning out pizza and subs like an I Love Lucy episode. I wanted the steak and cheese ... but the wait was about an hour. And from what I saw, the wait was worth it. But the wait for a pizza was 20 minutes which they met. The pizza was "good", but nothing special. Pepperoni was not crisp and the peppers were "just thrown on top". The flavors were fine, but not memorable. Had the pie been cooked a little more there may have been better flavor. Overall, it was fine, but not memorable.

Yelp
Pretty good food, but my carry-out order took longer than what I would have preferred.

Yelp
El Presidente was spot on! Dave Portnoy was right, this pizza is amazing and the Philly cheesesteak is top 3 all time. There was a wait when I ordered but I'm sure just a product of the recent One Bite review. Lived up to the hype, worth the wait, can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Came here the same day as Dave Portnoy and can see why he rated it so highly. The sauce is my favorite part- the flavor is impeccable! This place is always so packed on Friday night but they were working hard slinging food as fast as they could! The pizza itself was good, I think the larger pies are better than the smaller ones for the proper dough to sauce and cheese ratio! Cute little shop and great vibes.

Yelp
The food is really good. We ordered a pizza and a cheesesteak and they both were delicious. I'll definitely be back to try out some other items on the menu and as I type this, I'm craving that cheesesteak all over again. The wait time was a little long, but it was crowded so that's expected. It wasn't an obnoxious wait time. It reminds me of like a old school pizza shop so I was not looking for anything fancy when I got there. It is a little pricey, though I will say that, but overall, I definitely enjoyed my food and will be back again in the future.

Yelp
Ok so more like 3.5, i have been there twice after coming across a tik tok video. My opinion on that platform with food reviewers is quite low. Anywho, i ordered their cheesteak, wings, and fries. The cheesesteak was not bad at all, comes on a seeded roll or at least i selected that option. Wings, i dont know if these are baked and then briefly fried, didnt like them. The fries were trash. Second visit ordered the cheesesteak, coming to think of it this one didnt have onions, sometimes i think these are default. Anywho, i added banana peppers this time, coupled with the provolone, it didnt hit. Glad i tried them tho.

Yelp
The cheesesteak lives up to the hype. The pizza is also excellent. The dough has a little bit of chew, a little bit of crispiness, and the sauce is dynamite.

Yelp
Franks is known to be incredible when eaten warm! My boyfriend and I picked up the food quite late and the food was still great. I loved the cheesesteak and still dream about it tbh :,) We ordered it the exact way that was recommended! Service was great. We had to get the pizza, which was great as well- wish we grabbed it while it was hot, but still delicious! Will be going back when it town

Yelp
So I tried this place after seeing a review from Dave Portnoy of Barstool. My wife and I visited for lunch on 8/26 and I ordered a small cheesesteak and onion rings. My wife ordered the Italian cold cut. When the sandwiches arrived, we were shocked at his large they were and how much meat and cheese was on the subs. Specifically, the steak and cheese was on a seeded roll and stuffed full. I have tried multiple cheesesteaks throughout Philadelphia (including the famous Angelos) and I must say that Frank's Cheesesteak is one of the best I have had. I would put it on par with Angelos in Philadelphia. As for the Italian cold cut and onion rings, I would rate them a live average but not outstanding. As a bonus, we ordered pizzas to go and would try them later. After watching Dave Portnoy's review of Frank's pizza, my expectations were high. The pizza was very good but did jot meet my high expectations. Overall, the staff was friendly but interactions limited since you order at the counter and pick your food up when it is ready. The ambiance is average as Frank's is a local pizza place and is located in a small strip mall. I would strongly recommend going to Franks to try the food. It was worth the trip for me.

Yelp
Amazing pizza. One thing I'd say is as they became more popular (perhaps after Dave Port it's video) it became hard for them to be consistent with their quality. It's a lot harder to make an amazing pie every time than just once. But these guys try very hard, even though sometimes they may miss the mark. I suggest skipping the busiest times and get a legit pizza on a lessbusy night.

Yelp
Ok, this is all you need to know about the pasta tower. I've seen this place go viral for their pasta tower and I had to have it! I called a couple days in advance because I've done a couple food challenges / gone to places where they offer things like a ten pound burger and they needed a heads up. So I gave franks a call and asked. They said you don't need a heads up or anything, but that they would save us a table and I gave them the time we would be heading there. We came in at almost noon. I had no idea where to begin lol. But the staff was really helpful. He gave me a menu and told me to look over it and he recommended trying a pasta dish that was cream base, one with pink sauce and one that was a meat sauce / marinara sauce We picked the fettuccine, spaghetti with meat sauce (the tower comes with 3 pastas) and I honestly can't remember the pink sauce dish we picked. I took his recommendation and let him pick that one for us. It was a delicious pink sauce pasta with penne, mushrooms and chicken. We didn't pick (we didn't ask though if we could make substitutions) what sandwiches, but they gave us meatball, one called the franks special I believe and a chicken parm one. He also didn't ask what appetizers we wanted on the top tier. I don't know if you have a choice or not. We just went with the flow We also ordered two large fountain drinks which made the total come to 201. Which, honestly I think it's an amazing deal. It's a freaking pasta tower!!! It also comes with a very large salad that feeds 4. (This is a place where you order at the counter and then pick up your order at a different end of the counter) We had to pick up the salad and our drinks at the pick up counter but the pasta tower was carried out to our table. They asked if we wanted cheese on it, but I declined. I don't know why I didn't go for cheese. I was too stunned by the pure beauty of the tower. And why mess with success. It was beautiful enough, dang it. The food was amazing! And I'll be honest we had leftovers for a day plus we gave some away to my dads friends This place also specializes in Detroit style pizza (YUM) and they have won best pizza awards. So I wish we would have tried it, but we already had so much food. There wasn't a lot of people dining inside, but there was a LARGE flow of traffic coming in for take out pizzas. The place smelt amazing and all the workers were so sweet and accommodating. This place is a few miles away from downtown Baltimore. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's located in a little strip mall area with free parking up close. This is a small locally family owned shop. The bathroom's were clean and the workers although busy with the huge flow of traffic coming in and out, they were still so accommodating and helpful Overall the experience is any food lovers dream. The workers kindly gave us a bunch of boxes to pack it up in when we tapped out lol. They were great at small talk like asking what our fav was (I like the fried lasagna balls) the dipping sauce that comes on the top tier was so tasty (1st tier appetizers 2nd tier subs 3rd tier pasta and bread) Thank you to everyone at Franks for making my day!!! Can't wait to come back and try the pizza!

Yelp
This place is legit! The only downside was they were so busy onit took longer than expected for the food to be ready.
