Yassin's Falafel House

It was very good. We got 1 falafel wrap and 2 Gyros. They were really good. I liked the gyro better this time. We also got 4 pieces of baklava for later, and they were delicious. I definitely recommend you stop and give them a try.

Food was ok. I’m not a huge fan of European food. The meat was a little dry and I’ve never had falafels before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The meal was lack luster. Nothing I would recommend to someone or that I would go back to. We ate the food. It was eatable but just average food.

We went here on a tuesday for lunch, and we were shocked! The food was absolutely delicious. We had no issues at all and would definitely go here again. They also had large portions

Oh, this was my first visit and I was pleasantly surprised. That BIG HajDaj is amazing and filling. My wife had the chicken and rice, and it was pretty delicious also. The clerk was very helpful with all of our questions when we were ordering. The food came out hot and fresh and timely. Portion sizes were very generous. And the baklava was very good as well!

Little locally owned resturant, with the best mediterranean and middle eastern food in the area! Every time we come up to knoxville, my fiance Wants Yassin's, and my best friend once ate it 4 days straight. Highly recommend the chicken shawarma with hummus Instead of baba ganoush, as their hummus is top notch! I work with a man from Kuwait, and he even said for good middle eastern food you have to have Yassin's!

It was our first time trying food from here and i can definitely say it won't be our last! The staff as a whole was welcoming and friendly. Which provided some relief as we took in their menu. It may be a lot at once to understand but once you get it, you’ll be set. The food was great and was worth it!

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and attentive service. The atmosphere was cozy yet modern—perfect for a relaxed evening dinner. Every dish we ordered was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. All the dishes were a standout—cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. This is hands-down one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

Gyro plate was delicious. Very good value, tons of food. The gyros and rice were great, the garlic white sauce was awesome. The pita was decent. I also had some of my wife's chicken plate. The chicken was very yummy, but the baba ghanoush was way too lemony. It tasted a bit like cleaner. We came maybe 15 minutes before closing, and the staff were still nice enough to let us stay a few minutes after to finish our meal.

Came here after running errands because it was close by and looking at the menu it looked really good. I am so glad we did. The food and service was awesome. Walking in, it's counter service with a simple menu. You choose what you want, your protein and then if you want a wrap, salad or plate. They also have plant based. We got two gyro wraps with a side of fries and baklava. Ordering at the counter was simple and the easy. The person behind the counter was also willing to make modification, like sauce on the side or no onions. We got our number and decided to grab a seat outside while waiting for our number to be called. Though they were busy it didn't take long for the food to come out. The gyros were great. The meat tender and the veggies fresh and wrapped in a nice warm pita. The fries were seasoned well and hot and crispy. The baklava was flaky and delicious. It's a good quick easy meal, that's really satisfying. The restaurant itself was clean and well lit. Plenty of seating inside and also they had some tables outside. Good place to get some really tasty food

What an amazing place. First time @Falafel House and won't be my last when back in town. Came in just before the dinner rush as by the time we sat down there was a line to the door. But they are so quick and efficient in about 10 minutes there was no line, before the next one started. I wanted to try the gyro plate but with falafel and while it's not really on the menu, they quickly said sure. So order what you want and they will try and get it on the plate for you. The saffron rice was great, the pita was warm and moist and forget the gyro meat(which was good) but the falafel was outstanding! So happy to have found this restaurant!

Update: I called and they were more than willing to remake it and were very kind They were good with everything else in the order; however, I am very frustrated that I asked for no sauce and they put sauce on it.

Just wanted to update this to add a few things.. We've consistently been customers at Yassin's since my last review, it's consistently great! Recently we were there eating lunch and got to meet Yassin himself. He greeted every table in the restaurant with a huge smile and sincere gratitude. As if we didn't love the food and story already--meeting the owner and the face behind the vision was wonderful! More of a reason to support business aside from the delicious food!

Love the consistency of Yassins! My go to is the chicken plate either alone or with vegetables. 10/10 would recommend. It never disappoints. I tried the falafel bowl once and it also hit the spot. Their regular hummus is one of my favorite in the area too. Would always return for more.

Always looked busy when driving by to head to Lowe's. Finally decided to stop by. The service was great and the shawarma was surprisingly really good. I say surprisingly because I had low expectations. I'm very glad I was proved wrong. I will definitely make this a regular stop!

Came here on a Tuesday and I got the spicy chicken plate and it was great, not really spicy. Came with enough food to last me two meals and everything was flavorful. The pita bread was so soft and the rice was perfectly cooked. Came here like six years ago and loved the food and it's still great.

The food is delicious. The place is fun to sit in and the service is great. I'm excited to be back next year so I can eat there again!

The best mediterranean dishes! The chicken shawarma is so flavorful & a fave in our house. The staff is always friendy & helpful. It would be a cryin' shame if you skipped the baklava!

Stopped in here while in town and was looking for something quick and yummy. The kid at the front was friendly and helped us with the menu, which was simple and had just the right amount of options. We ordered Falafels which were delish, perfect texture and good flavor. I had the spicy chicken plate and it was really good, very savory. The Gyro sandwich was perfect. This was a great little spot for a quick meal if you're in the area!

Went for the first time today- all round excellent . Food cooked to order - we ordered sandwiches a gyro and chicken shawarma - spicy - oh so tasty and fresh. Team members were friendly and helpful when ordering. Definitely a go to place!

Very disappointed in the falafel wrap. The lavash or pita had a weird flavor. The white sauce and tzaziki were delicious.

Tried when I was in Knoxville! Great service and cute decor! Small but still feels spacious.

Heard a lot about Yassin's and knew I had to stop for lunch. I tried the plant-based shawarma sandwich and was pleasantly surprised. It was my first time being able to try "shawarma". The only thing is that I wish there were more vegetables in it. The falafel sandwich was good but not super filling. We had to ask for a hot sauce on the side but they only had red pepper flakes for us. With a good creamy hot sauce, both sandwiches would've been amazing. The French fries were hot and crispy and had a little flavor on them which I appreciated. It got super busy around lunch time!

He is the kindest and most thoughtful host. Food is excellent! In addition to quality Middle Eastern food supporting his business allows him to be a benevolent citizen of the country, state and city he loves!

Super friendly, clean and fast authentic Mediterranean food. We were in the area looking at motorcycle and I was hungry for some gyros and Yassin's was suggested Well they did not disappoint! I got the gyro salad and a side of falafels and hubby got a regular gyro. Everything is made fresh to order and was delicious. The meat tasted good and and had good spice. We had never had falafel before and I liked the taste and crunchy outside and soft middle. The staff was friendly greeting us when we arrived and when they delivered food to the table in I'd say under 5 min. I totally forgot to try the baklava which I was told is delish as well.

What a fun place to go. Atmosphere is casual and quick that you can linger if you want. Walked right in and the line is quick. They have a great selection and the food was delicious. I had the gyro and fries.

I have never had anything that wasn't amazing come from Yassin's. This place is our whole families comfort choice when we go out. It always tasty, the price is great. They are super fast in getting you your order.

I grew up in the Middle East and have had my fair share of incredible Shawarma - therefore, I set the bar fairly high here. Yassin's surpassed the bar. The chicken shawarma wrap was excellent - excellent combination of sauce, tender chicken meat, French fries and veg make for an incredible bite. Highly recommend.

The gyro was super, rice was tasty but a bit dry. They had a wall of banknotes I enjoyed looking at. The dessert flaky thing was good.

The special is my favorite. It is this garlic chicken sub and it is heavenly. I would highly recommend this place.

Was staying at a hotel nearby and ordered Yassin's from Uber Eats. When it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised at how hot and fresh everything was! (I usually anticipate any to go order to be lukewarm by the time it arrives.) The falafels were crispy on the outside with a softer interior, and with the bed of lettuce they sat on, I felt much better eating all of them instead of saving the rest for leftovers...they were too good to stop eating! My main entree was the grilled veggie plate with a side of gyro meat and it was fantastic (though the veggie serving was a little skimpy the gyro serving was great). If you don't like olives (I do), I would sub out the hummus for something else as it tastes great but does have an olive flavor. The pita that comes with the plate is yummy! It tasted homemade and was warm and fluffy. I'll definitely order from here again when passing through Knoxville!

5-Star.... Please, we need more stars!!!! Looking for a good offering outside of typical American cuisine, and found Yassin's. That was an excellent find!!!! The service was friendly and accommodating with a menu full of plentiful offerings! I actually ended up selecting the Falafel and Gyro sandwiches, which were both incredibly delicious and FRESH!!!! You may have to wait just a couple of minutes for your food, but we all know what that means right..... Deliciousness!!!! Highly Recommend!

Incredible food!!! Gyros are AWESOME! A MUST EAT! Do yourself a favor! Eat here! I always get the spicy lamb gyro and an order of falafel and it's ALWAYS supreme!!!

When we eat at Yassin's, our stomachs are full but our hearts are too, because they are simply good humans who truly care about our community. This last visit, I brought my 4 yo twins to dine in and was crossing fingers that they would choose that day to become more adventurous eaters. I got a gyro pita and then we ordered two kid meals-1 with gyro, hummus, pita triangles, and fries and 1 with falafels, hummus, pita triangles, and fries. The food was out within five minutes and was hot and fresh. They brought it directly to our table and the kind worker, Darren, chatted and fist-bumped for a few minutes with my kids. He asked me if they had allergies and later brought them complimentary baklavas. How sweet (literally)! That kind act put the kids in giving mode and they tried to offer everyone around them fries. The gyro meat was tender and sliced the perfect thickness. The tzatziki sauce is magic and the pitas warm and fresh. I will say that the wrapping itself was dripping/sopping wet from grease, so you may want to bring hand wipes and/or wash hands after eating unless you want a greasy memento on your car seat. ;-) My kids loved the gyro meat and falafels and who doesn't love dunking carbs into hummus? The kids meal came with a ton of gyro meat, which I actually used on a homemade pizza later that night and it was delish. Will we be back? DUH.

Surprisingly very good - the food was beyond good - excellent - the service was nice and courteous - the ambiance was clean and organized - we sincerely appreciate a good Mediterranean food place like this . No doubt will be back, hope they keep up the excellent work...

The best falafel in east Tennessee (so far). The shawarma looked good too. Very fresh. The location is in an older shopping center which unfortunately has seen better days. The homeless have been camping out in front of the restaurant in the outdoor seating area. It's sad because I think it likely deters business. But it's not unsafe (so far) so try Yassins.

We love to search out Greek restaurants. After seeing reviews of Yassin's we thought it had potential... It was nothing special. My husbands gyro was super wet. I had gyro salad, just ok. We enjoy Naf Naf up to the road better.

Best family-owned restaurant in the area. Even patrons are friendly. Food is DELICIOUS! If you think you won't like "this type of food", give it a try. You won't be disappointed. Everything is delicious! My favorites are the chicken plate and hummus. Pitas are fresh and made in-house!

Picked up a chicken shawarma wrap and falafels while passing through Knoxville. I'm so glad I stumbled upon Yassin's. I ordered online and the order was ready in less than 15 minutes. The chicken shawarma wrap was delicious, and I loved the fries inside the sandwich. I will definitely be back to try more things!

Great gyros and falafels. Extremely friendly staff. Both indoor and outdoor dining spaces. The best restaurant of its kind in the area. Looking forward to their Alcoa location's opening to shorten my drive for lunch.

I travel to Knoxville for work a few times a year and Yassin's is my go to. It's definitely the best Mediterranean food I've had. I used to get the plant based shwarma plate and that was amazing but I just got the regular chicken plate and it's to die for as well. I love this place I really wish I had this in California. I always DoorDash it and it's always fast and big servings

I really enjoyed the flavors. This was the best gyro and falafel that I've ever enjoyed. Thank you for sharing the great food. We took it all to go and it survived the trip to Mammoth Cave National Park. The plating of the to go is ingenious because all the sauces stayed in place and the holes ensured that even the pita bread did not get soggy. A great idea for bringing different cuisine to enjoy outdoors.

Fast food Mediterranean. Flavors were good. Interesting differences from most Mediterranean we've visited. The falafels were very good. You only get one pita with the hummus-not enough; but you can order more pita for about $1/ea. It was a busy place so most be a favorite for the locals. Better than fast food burgers.

I tried the falafel with tahini side, the spicy chicken shawarma plate and the hummus side. The tahini is probably the best tahini I've ever had! I actually liked it with the chicken shawarma and next time would order a side of that sauce. The chicken shawarma plate came with rice, a pita, baba ghanoush, and white garlic sauce. I ordered the spicy chicken which it really wasn't spicy, but it was still well flavored. The rice was perfectly seasoned. Additionally the hummus was excellent. My only food complaint is that the side of hummus only comes with one pita. Considering the container is fairly large I would have liked a couple extra pitas. My husband and I came at a fairly busy time but found our food came out relatively quickly given the amount of people that were there.
