Philly native who moved to the Boston area and let me just say this is the closest thing to a cheesesteak from home that I’ve found in New England. Very inspired by Del Rossi’s and Angelo’s, both the pizza and cheesesteak were phenomenal. Chris was awesome and was shooting the shit with me about our favorite places in Philly and best ways to get the same quality up north and overall was incredibly welcoming and helpful to all customers. Safe to say, I will be a regular here from now on.

Cant overstate how good this place is. We heard about it on Instagram, and it fully lived up to the hype. There's incredible attention to detail and it really shows -- homemade seeded rolls, homemade meatballs, incredible pizza crust. We got the Grandma Flo pizza, cheesesteak, and philly philly sandwich. Pizza and cheese steak are best-in-class. Philly philly is different and full of flavor.

Takeout only location and a true gem for that purpose. My new favorite steak and cheese sub in greater Boston. We also got the Grandma Flo pizza which was great too. You can taste the quality ingredients, really makes a difference. Pictured is half the steak bomb since it was devoured too quick to get a full image.

We came to Everett just for Chris' pizza. It tasted delicious! I know the price can be daunting initially but he is seriously being generous with what he charges $25 for a whole pizza. It's not an artisanal style pizza but he uses the best quality ingredients for what's availble and does everything from scratch. Now having had the pizza, it should be marked closer to $50. Be aware that it takes about 30 min for the pizza to be made which can be a bit if you're unprepared. But if you have just a small group of friends 2-4 people, it's a good time to catch up. I probably wouldn't come here for a date though as it's more on the fast food side - unless your date loves pizza that is. I hope you will get to visit, it's totally worth a trip especially because Chris is very nice and easy to talk. We could not recommend this place enough. ❤️

This spot is a hidden gem! The food is incredibly fresh, packed with flavor, and priced just right for the quality you get. Every bite was amazing! The Square Deli in Everett was the quiet champion of our Boston trip. We were on a full pizza quest after binge watching Dave Portnoy’s reviews and chasing that Montes ten. My twin lives in Everett so we wandered over, not expecting much more than a casual bite. Then the Square hit us with the best slice of the trip. No drama. No hesitation. Just that perfect balance of crisp, chew, and real neighborhood soul. It felt like discovering a local secret even though word has finally started to spread, and honestly it is about time. Everett deserves this kind of shine.

My wife declared their pizza, specifically the grandma flo fresh out the oven, as the best pizza she's ever had. Perfect crunch and balanced flavor —truly as if your Italian grandma put her famous meatballs on a sourdough pizza. Need I say more? Please the wife for she is a good thing. Amazing steak and cheese sandwich’s and crispy pizza. The steak was full of flavor and unreal on a sesame roll. The peperoni pizza was nice and crispy with some peperoni cups on top with grated cheese. Everything amazing here

Ai states they are closed and only do take out orders, however, they are open till 8pm. We walked in at 2:30, just beating the lunch rush! We chatted with the wonderful lady at the register who filled us in on the specialties of the square deli. They are known for their steak sandwiches, the seeded roll, and the pizza. Steak bomb on a seeded roll was worth all of the hype! The steak had so much flavor and the cheese drives it home. Just the right amount of steak, great texture, it's like taking a bite of heaven. We heard locals ordering with lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles so those options are endless here. Pasquale pizza so fresh with those cupped pepperoni, sour dough crust, and roasted garlic. The perfection of char right out of the oven and the fresh basil gives it a refreshing finish. It came out piping hot and had that New York style sag in the middle. It's one of those slices you need to fold when it's hot. The sauce was plentiful as it left a smile on your lips at the end of each bite. Italian on a seeded roll was very good, quality meats and chopped pickles, tomatoes, onions, lettuce and cherry peppers with oil and vinegar. It was tough to keep all of it with the meat as you bit into it, but it was pretty easy to scoop it back up with the sandwich. As we were enjoying our sandwiches the owner was there to make sure everything was good and engaged in conversation with us and other patrons about how he does things and we discussed other worthy restaurants in the area. Definitely will be back! Everyone must try that pizza and steak bomb!

The pizza is an obvious labor of love and well worth your time. The ingredients are top notch and very worthy of all the accolades received. What is maybe slept on a bit is the sandwich program and the use of the seeded rolls. Massive upgrade to most delis here using the same, soft roll that doesn't hold up. Great bread, great ingredients (again), and thoughtfully made. Great spot.

Second time there .First time i got the Chicken Parm and it was so good i went back today for some pizza.Owner and employees are very friendly,will be back soon.

Wow. Just wow. After getting pies from here over the years, I've gotta say, THIS is the best place for a pizza in the Boston area in my book. I've ordered their cheese pizza ("Our Cheese" in the online menu) for pickup on several occasions, and it always hits the spot. The tomato and basil combo is fantastically done in particular. I can't even wait until I'm home to eat - I usually wolf down a slice right then and there once I get into the car. The shop itself is also easy to get in and out of for pickups (they've got an insulated rack near the door itself), and it feels like your classic neighborhood pizza spot atmosphere. So happy we've got Square Deli around. I've been getting pizza in the Boston area for over 25 years, and this is for sure the spot!

I love the pizza. It's excellent. One of the best in Boston. I have sent many people in this direction. Small and a couple of tables. But in this day I went off script. I ordered the steak and cheese sub. It was on the board as a special. I was taking it to go. Bad move. Right from the first bite it was a huge sliced hunk of fat covered in cheese. Unfortunately it was the same all the way through. $14 down the tubes. I don't know what happened because everything I had here to this point, had been of the highest quality. Idk-Maybe a new cook in training? I brought some meatballs home they were great. Therefore, I'm going 3 Star because it may have been a one-off and they have traditionally been great. Usually a 5. I'm not willing to say good bye. I'll try them again.

Philly Philly ---- homemade made to order cutlet. Ask for the seeded bread. Elite sub. Won't find anything better.

May have been good years ago with original owner but I have tried 3 times and it sucks! Pizza is not worth the rating from idiot Portnoy! Steak in steak and cheese sub is fatty and cut too thick. Italian sub is a joke, cold cuts are not authentic Italian, the meats are more like what you find in an American sub! Very LIMITED menu, 4 cold subs, NO PASTA, NO steak tip or other dinners, just garbage sandwiches. Pictures are from years ago, they do not even offer what they advertise! Stay away and save your money

I had no idea about this place and I live around the corner! My daughter and her husband who live about 15 miles away saw it on social media . I brought food from there today and it sure didn't disappoint. The three of us thought it was so good. We got pepperoni pizza and mushrooms pizza , steak bomb and the chicken cutlet and broccoli rabe sub . Everything was fresh. We all enjoyed it very much . Highly recommend!

Get the chicken sandwich with broccoli rabe and banana peppers. ( big enough to share!)

Happened upon the Square Deli when a friend were in Chelsea for a medical test. OMGOODNESS. It was amazing. The menu was huge and so were the sandwiches. We had a Reuben and Paisano with lotsa fresh ingredients including yummy fresh bread. Served with homemade chips and pickles. Enough for 2 meals or to split if we agreed on the sandwich, lol. The owner was SO nice and friendly and accommodating. We opted for take out containers for another meal and the chocolate chip (homemade & huge) again with a great balance of soft in the middle and crispy on edges. They have been working on their cookies for a while, so they say, I think it's by far the best cookie I have ever had! hopefully don't have to go back for medical tests but would definitely field trip for their pizza next which has won many awards.

The Square Deli has been me and my family go to spot since the owner Chris opened. His sandwiches were always phenomenal, but his pizza is now our hands down one of the best pizzas I have ever had. It's me and my family go to for pizza night. You can tell how much care goes into making his pizzas if you're looking for a new spot in the Everett area I highly highly recommend going in and grabbing some pizza. There's a lot of other things to choose from and I haven't had one bad thing yet.

Consistently delicious neighborhood spot for pizza and sandwiches. Catering and healthy options available as well. Always good ingredients cooked thoughtfully. The pizza is in competition with the respected standbys in the area -- Regina, Santarpio's, etc.--" and their eggplant parm is so nice and thin and crispy. A decade ago I moved to Boston from New York, it was really hard to find great pizza in these parts. With the exception of one or two places, pretty much all pizza I encountered was way below standard. Especially Greek pizzerias. Good lord. So anytime I find a pizza place that is legitimately good, it's a highly coveted find. I ordered delivery from Square Deli and my pizza was absolutely fantastic. In fact, it was one of the best first bites I've had of any pizza ... anywhere. Including New Haven (though it's not the same style). it was perfectly thin and crispy without being overcooked, an incredibly flavorful sauce, and didn't flop over much with the soppressata ingredients weighing it down. I ordered Italian subs too , which were very good. Overall, I'm very very happy with this place and I'm looking forward to ordering again in the future

First time here despite living in the area for 10 years. I wish I was around when they won the 2023 Roni Rumble Winner because the local voted them best pizza in the state. For as far as I can remember, they weren't even known for the pizza and started off as a sandwich shop. Here is what I recommend: Any or every pizza & sandwich on the menu. The secret item to buy here is a bottle of their hot honey or vodka sauce to go if they have any extra.

We got takeout. Pizza and chicken cutlet sub. Both were really good! I am very picky about pizza and standards are high; Square Deli met the mark.

We got takeout from here for the first time today and I'm kicking myself for not going before. The pepperoni pizza is outrageous, perfect crust. The steak and cheese is one of the best I've had in years. Also don't sleep on the roasted broccolini - classic prep, prefect cook - delicious. Easy on-line ordering, order was ready in 20 mins. Friendly service. Great all around. Can't wait to go back.

I've only been coming here recently with their semi new release in pizza. Cheese or pepperoni? Either or please! Not your average delis pizza. It is hand tossed and has a thin crust. The sauce is made with San Marzano tomatoes which is key to making a great sauce. They use fine ingredients and you can just tell after your first bite. I feel like I'm at a specialty pizza joint, but I'm at the square deli and we've gone back numerous times. Yesterday was our most recent visit. We opted for subs as that's their original specialty. I had my first meatball sub and my boyfriend has the Italian. Both were amazingly delicious. The one thing I could possibly recommend for the meatball sub is maybe using a baguette to get a better crunch, as the roll got quite soggy by the time we got home.

Got 1 pizza delivered for $40 but was it worth it... yes it had amazing flavor. David portnoy def put me on this. Try it for yourself

This pizza is just better than any other around. It's simple, but tastes so good and people are nice. They have the secret...not sure if it's the sauce or the dough but everything I have had here tastes great and is a cut above what you would expect from a pizza joint in Everett.

Pizza goes hard--shoutout to Chris & the team. Was pleasantly surprised by the chicken teriyaki over brown rice. Filling. Sauce was good :)

The best pizza around! The service is always warm and welcoming. I come every week for my Friday night pizza and would not think of going anywhere else.

A reputable lunch at a local deli. The Square is a small storefront shop in Everett. There are 3 or 4 small tables, but most of the business is take out. It's clearly a local favorite as many customers were know by first name and ordered "the usual". I tried The Bronx: grilled corned beef and pastrami with swiss cheese, chopped pickles and dijon mustard on a toasted sub roll. It's an OK portion (not huge) of freshly sliced meat, grilled till warm and a little crispy. The dijon and chopped pickles do the trick to moisten it up and add some tart to the rich meat. Served with thick cut chips. Not gourmet eats, but a good spot for deli fare.

What doesn't the square deli do ?!?! I began eating here about 4 years ago because they were close to my barbershop. Their subs are amazing and they specialize in all kinds of dinners ! Recently they have broke into the pizza game and I must say it is the BEST PIE in Massachusetts. Be I've had a lot ! I spend frequent time in New York and I still CRAVE the pizza from here ! So just trust me and get a pie with a Buffalo chicken sub on the side !!!

Went for the Pizza after a friend recommended and it was really good!!! Small hole in the place but those are the best!!!

Been wanting to try the pizza here for a while, but the hours they are open have made it difficult. It was decent but it was not as good as the hype. Maybe I built it up in my head too much, but I would not put it up there with the top tier pizzas. The crust was really good which is probably the best thing going for this pizza. The sauce and overall taste was overpowered by the basil. This was even after I took off the extra basil they sprinkle on top as the sauce has a lot of it mixed it. Was not a deal-breaker but just an FYI on that. I debated between a 3 and 4 for this place but just didn't feel they were quite on the level of a 4. If we are using the Portnoy scale I would give them a 7.1.

My husband wanted to come here and he is never wrong. It was wicked awesome pizza. Well worth the 3,000 mile trip.

The level of care that this gentleman puts into his pizza--and everything else he serves-- is something else. This is hands-down one of the very best pizzas in the Boston area. Thin, crunchy, flavorful sourdough crust, a bright, delicious tomato sauce, and just the right amount of cheese. You can tell the ingredients are top notch. Most pizzas become less appetizing as they cool-- that's when the quality of the ingredients shines through. This one is delicious from the first bite to the last. A truly elevated pie. I've also had the beef meatballs here (fluffy, flavorful, and doused in that delicious sauce) and their excellent chicken cutlet sub. Everything here is just next level. Worth the trip!

Okay so I recently married an Italian guy who is turning into his father, and we now get pizza at least twice a week. This is the BEST seriously and I've been eating a lot of pizza lately :)

As close to perfect pizza as I've ever had. Up there with anything I've ahead in Brooklyn, NJ, New Haven. Dough is perfect texture and charred at the edges. Composition is perfect with ratios of sauce, mozz, parm, basil, something garlicky, basil.. I don't know what else to say really. Shocking but maybe the best pizza in Boston

This was about a week ago and I'm never ordering from there again - and I didn't even get to eat the food. Not that they care. But, what had happened was... my order was taking forever, well over an hour, and GH support said they're using their own driver and are on the way. Ok, no big deal, I wasn't really upset about the time, just wanted to know that it was happening - I had been a big fan of this place for years and was looking forward to this meal. Now, I've had repeated issues with GH drivers where they never let me know they arrived and leave my food outside on the ground in a high-traffic area for residents and pets, bugs ... whatever, food doesn't belong on the damn ground. So because of these issues, I have delivery notes mentioning there's no tip if food is left outside. It's not meant to be so much of a threat, I just appreciate communication... especially when I'm hungry. So, another half hour goes by and I call Square Deli directly. The girl who answered asked me to hold and then some guy picks up sounding like he's already got it out for me - I was confused by his attitude when I didn't have one. He tells me their driver called and tried the building intercom but I didn't answer. My phone *never* rang, for whatever reason, and when I said that he just seemed to get more upset. So I go out front to find my food cold like it had been sitting there for a long while, oh, also the note attached to the bag. First off, my address is barely 2mi from the shop and if they're listed as a delivery option for whatever address, don't get mad at me for taking advantage. I'm trying to patron your damn deli. Then, as I'm opening up the bag to get to my sandwich, fries & juice, I stopped, considering the fact that if they were bent outta shape enough to pen this love letter, I can't trust what was done with my food. I've seen too much in my lifetime to put good faith into this situation. So I conveyed this to GH and got refunded for the food part of it, paid for the juice and left the $4-5 tip as is, just the tip. I wouldn't have taken the tip anyway if this was due to a call not going thru, but that note was unnecessary and a bad look for them. Stapling nasty notes to your deliveries?? Really??

I ordered delivery through the website. It came when they said it would arrive and the driver was kind enough to text me with a picture to tell me where he left the order. The portions were extremely generous. I ordered both the paisano and the beauty and the beef and both were well made and packaged with care. The chicken cutlet was hot and freshly made, so it arrived crispy and juicy. I've had chicken cutlet sandwiches where you could tell that the chicken had all been pre-fried well before the order and were cold and soggy. So glad that they made to order or I caught them at the right time! The beauty and the beef had a very generous softball sized portion of meat with crispy fried onions, cheese, and bbq sauce. I would have liked it better if the beef was warm, but I can always pop the sandwich in the microwave. If you're thinking about ordering delivery and live in the vicinity, I would recommend going through their website and not a third party service. I was going to order on Door Dash, but the prices on Door Dash were at least $1 to $3 dollars more per sandwich. If you order more than 1 sandwich, the store's service is a much better deal!

First time to square deli. I ordered steak and cheese with onion and mushrooms and my daughter ordered Rubin sandwich. The food was great and so was the service. I love steak and cheese and this is the first time in awhile that I really enjoyed. I tried many places but this place knows food. They have a customer for life. Thank you.

I got a Ruben, the corned beef was great. Definitely going to try the pizza If the pizza tastes as good as it looks it must be incredible. They were very nice which matters because that is usually a reflection of an establishments service and food

Can't believe it's taken this long and covid for me to find this gem. It's "Beauty and the Beef" is easily my favorite roast beef sandwich in the area, it's unique blend of fried onion strings and horseradish sauce squashes the traditional bbq sauce to set the new bar for roast beef sammiches. It comes with a side of homemade chips, at times it's fried to a perfect crisp, other times it's undercooked with a soft meh texture Other decent options are the homemade meatball and chicken parmesan subs, although the marinara sauce is sometimes too sour or salty. While the steak bomb bomb is tasty, the steak portion could be better and the seasoning consistency can be improved. The prices are reasonable and staff are always friendly. Easily my new "go-to" sub/sandwich joint.

Stumbled upon this place and had the Paisano - probably one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my life. Will be coming back.

After my last review I received a message from the Owner of Square Deli with nice words and insisting I try them again so he could make it up to me... So one night we were hanging out recently it was too hot & didnt want to cook, I reached out to Chris... Ordered the Steak Tips again, Meatball Sub & some other things. Steak was GREAT this time, I asked for them as rare as they could legally walk out the door... By the time they got to us they were a nice Med Rare... Just great, Love the rice. Everything was good. BF said the Meatball was GOOD (for him thats huge - normally you just get a nod)... I got Mozzarella sticks which were super good (I mean you really cant screw those up.) and a Steak Bomb - It was a little overcooked but I know that it was prob just an off night, the toppings were good, everything was good just the meat a little too browned but no Biggie it was still really good! All in all a good try & Im glad I tried again, just wish they were open a little later as with all the running around I do and the kids its usually close to 8 when we are sitting down & decide to order, but on earlier nights and we are home hungry, we will def be going back. Customer Service is HUGE to me, I mean C'Mon anyone can make a sandwich & bring it to my house, do it with some personality & Service & you get more points for that! And Chris was soo good, he was never a jerk about my review & he just wanted me to try the items on a better night!!!

The square deli out did themselves in my eyes. Had it catered today for a family party and everything was so delicious, and fresh. We got the deli platter, Chicken ziti broccoli, pasta, salad and chicken fingers. I didn't have one complaint. They even delivered out side of the delivery range they normally deliver to. Thank you Square Deli for fully delivering a beautiful meal for a beautiful day.

I first tried to go to a different sandwich shop for lunches Then I walk in and see Trump signs and handwritten posters with Fox News quotes. I immediately walked right out. I was determined to get a good sandwich and I was not gonna let that bs stop me so I found this place instead. So glad I did! Great tuna sub. Crusty bread.

First off, the staff is friendly, courteous and really pay attention to detail. The subs are fresh and delicious, steak bomb, meatball, Italian. The pizza is out of this world. Fresh homemade dough, San Marzano tomatoes and cooked just right. Been there multiple times and they never disappoint. I would highly suggest visiting this place.

Amazing pizza! Not floppy at all, perfect crunch to the bottom of the crust but pillowy top of the crust. The sauce has a good balance of flavors, and isn't too sweet at all. Highly recommend! Also, they use some fancy ass pepperoni.
