We are huge fans of live entertainment, especially musical performances. Over the years, we have been members of the Concord Pavillion, Shoreline Amphitheater, Best of Broadway SF and the Gallo Center. Additionally, we've attended shows at HP Pavillion, Oakland Arena, Hammer Theater, Luther Burbank Theater, Bankhead, Dean Lesher, San Ramon Center for the Arts, Zellerbach Hall, Davies Symphony Hall, War Memorial, Circle Star (reaching way back!), Yoshi's, Blue Note - Napa, and many others that have faded out of our memories. By far, other than Yoshi's and Blue Note - Napa, Gallo is THE BEST when it comes to sightlines and acoustics.
The theater is beautiful, the staff is generally friendly, parking is relatively easy. What's there not to like? We drive anywhere between 60 and 90 minutes each way, depending on traffic, to attend each show.
By being members, we get some priority on purchasing tickets to shows we want to see. We generally will only sit in Rows AA, BB or in the Box Seats, preferably as close to the middle as possible for the most balanced sound. The pricing is usually quite reasonable too.
Our most recent show was Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox. Yay!
We hope to be able to attend shows here for years to come!
