This is a locally known brewery within Ybor City. The atmosphere and the murals around the place are truly impressive and the space is expansive. There also a second floor for events. You need to order at the bar and the service is decent. The food itself is pretty good. I liked my chicken Mac and cheese, the meats are smoky and there’s a lot of flavor to them. However, the rice dish was crunchy. Overall, this place isn’t perfect but still pretty good.

First time here for comic and brews and the show itself was a winner. Great artist, lots of comic books and the vibe was good. Had a beer and some wings. Tried several that were not really my taste and that’s fine. Settled on a cloudy IPA and again didn’t quite fit my taste but was cold. Wings slightly overcooked but the waffle fries were tasty. Staff was not very talkative but were professional - that’s fine the place picked up speed as the day went on. I live in Central Florida but I owe the place another visit. The decor and operation is first class for sure!

A group of us went to Coppertail for happy hour; it was my first time there. The artwork in and outside of the brewery is so fun and interesting to look at. The confessional booth was both beautiful and peculiar; it certainly fit the aesthetic. They had a large group upstairs, so they have space for private events. The food was great. It went so fast that I didn’t get many pics, but everyone enjoyed it! We had the chicken, brisket, and bahn mi tacos, the giant pretzel, buffalo dip, chicken wings, brisket rangoon, loaded waffle fries, quesadilla, and pulled pork and chicken sandwiches with Mac & Cheese. I didn’t get to try everything, but I did have the brisket rangoon, brisket tacos, and buffalo chicken dip and enjoyed every bite! Service was great, food & drinks were on point, and the vibe was just right!

We had a great experience renting a private loft from Coppertail Brewing! It was the perfect place to welcome our guests for a fun and uplifting evening. Guests enjoyed an array of foods that were buffet style along with a ticketed bar where they had plenty of options to indulge in our cocktail hour. AV was a little difficult when trying to connect audio from a presentation however, everything ended up working out and we had a great event. The staff were also great and there were plenty of people to help.

Google
One of the best restaurants with a brewery in all of Florida. Not only does Coppertail make great beer. But this kitchen knocks out fantastic food. I live over an hour away and we come regularly. Our favorites are the loaded fries, brisket Rangoon and the brisket tacos. Each one is so unique, this is not normal BBQ. Their take on bar food is truly unique and amazing. Come for the beer, stay for the food.

Google
Been here quite a few times and first time eating here. Had the Brisket Rangoon and the Lamb Barbacoa tacos... super fricken delicious and the food was fire!! Can't wait to try more! Also I enjoyed my purple sour.

Google
Highly recommend Coppertail for an event. 2 years ago my husband had his office Christmas party and it was fantastic, the food was good and the staff was great. Just last weekend we had our daughter’s engagement party in their event space and again I was blown away. Alexis and staff were wonderful making sure we had everything we needed and the food was delicious. The space is beautiful as it is and we did not even bring much to decorate with.

Google
Coppertail has amazing food and beer!! AND an amazing upstairs venue for events. We had our wedding reception there recently and it was absolutely great. Their event coordinator, Alexis, was a pleasure to work with and she was so incredibly patient, kind, and helpful throughout the planning of our event. Super quick to respond as well. Their team who helped during the reception were also super sweet. Coppertail helped make our wedding day perfect!

Yelp
The food was great and perfect for my catering request. My guests loved it. They helped me through the process, ensuring I am picking out just the right amount.10/10.

Yelp
We had our Company Holiday party here. The event space was perfect for our group, the food was amazing and the staff was everywhere I needed them to be at the exact right time! 10 out of 10 recommend!

Yelp
Our favorite overall brewery in Tampa, and the Tampa Bay area. They have the iconic Free Dive IPA, but my personal favorites in addition to that are the Coral and Hop Quest. They also have the undisputed best wings in the area. The smoked chicken wings are a reason to keep on returning. Oh... the absolute best pretzel in the region as well... Service is as nice as it gets at a brewery, so something to look forward to. We love the setting, it's got an outdoor area for those Florida Winter days and indoor for Summer. They also have amazing merchandise! Highly recommended! I'll update this review with some pictures next time I am in. Love this spot, please stay awesome!

Yelp
Looking for a place with a great beer selection and tasty food, look no further. Came with a few colleagues after work. Place was buzzing as we struggled to find parking. But once inside quickly served with a nice cold beer, I had the Night Swim porter. Perfect and not too strong or heavy for a dark beer so I was able to have 2. Also has smash burger with beer Mac n cheese. Might as well go all out, right? Burger was juicy, great toppings with bacon, cheese and lettuce. No need for additional condiment as the sauce is just right. Mac n cheese was rather tasty. I am a fan of strong cheeses so it did tasty a little light on the extra sharp cheddar or any other aged cheese. All in all well recommended. Give it a shot.

Yelp
I've lived in Tampa for years and of course have heard of Coppertail, but I'd never set foot in here until now. The wife and I stopped by on a whim, to grab some beer. Lo and behold, they happened to have a very enticing food menu, so we decided to stick around for some appetizers. The staff was friendly enough. Answered all our questions, gave us samples. The decor was just plain cool. Industrial. Black and copper everywhere. Lots of art that's familiar of you've seen their packaging. Very cool vibe. We sat at the bar and then at the corner couch. Very comfortable experience. The food was excellent. We had the Brisket Rangoon which was unexpected and delicious. Then we had the Lamb Tacos. Very tasty. Every seasoned perfectly and very well cooked. I had the ghost pepper beer and if you're a fan of spice like I am, you'll love that thing! Also had the Cryptid. Very dark, chocolaty, very good stout. We will definitely be returning!

Yelp
I've had Coppertail quite a few times but first time visiting the brewery. The brewery is spacious but we did have a bit of a wait at the bar to order drinks. I got a flight and tried a few new beers but everything was a bit underwhelming to my surprise. I did not try the food but what I saw come out looked really good.
google avatar

Yelp
I always love coming here. Their beer is good, they have ciders (BIG PLUS) and they're dog friendly! Oh and did I mention their food is delicious! I recently got their Crunchwrap....oh my. I'm itching to go back now!! It was seriously so delicious! The food is consistently good. Also a fan of their music selection. Tons of parking as well, which is nice!

Yelp
On my road trippin, I saw the huge blue building of the Coppertail Brewery in Ybor. Brewerys are fun and each has there own character. This one offers 2 levels and a great menu of food to accommodate your beer flights. The brewery has a state-of-the-art 50 barrel Rolec brewhouse which has 2,000 barrels of fermentation space with tanks ranging from 7 barrels to 250 barrels for their on premise handcrafted brewing. Lots of seatting areas and a huge big screen for those fav sports games of the hour. My fave was the Cold IPA Hop Quest from my IPA flight. It is sold in to go packs to enjoy later also. They had lots of staff to make sure your service was prompt was friendly. They do offer tours a few times a day and have a event space. Good tasting room, family friendly including the dogs.

Yelp
It had been about a year since we had been back to this location and we really enjoyed our experience. This time we chose to sit at the bar which we definitely think is a better fit for us versus sitting at a table. Our bar tender was absolutely adorable. She was super sweet, very friendly, and we adored her pink hair! She truly made our experience there hundred percent better! I did not know that they do their own hard cider and was ecstatic that they had so many to choose from. I did a cider flight and really loved all of their ciders, although I think fallen fruit was probably my favorite. We also got an order of chicken wings and they were very crispy. Although the dry rub was very light. We would've loved to have more flavor from the dry rub on the chicken wings but overall we found they were tasty. I got the brisket rangoon and I'll be honest I was slightly disappointed as there really wasn't a whole lot of brisket in it. It was more cream cheese than anything. I would've loved to seen them completely packed full and definitely a lot more brisket in them.

Yelp
Another great meal. Started with the Florida Special beer. Great light beer. Nice flavor and no after taste. Got the shrimp salad. Lettuce was fresh and crisp. Lightly dressed and blackened shrimp done perfectly. Also got the crunch wrap. This is not your grandmas crunch wrap. Best I ever had. Crunch wrap on steroids. Lastly got Cuban sandwich. Good typical Cuban nothing special.

Yelp
Love Coppertail and today we decided to try five different pours. Nice food menu with appetizers and larger plates too.

Yelp
Stopped by for a beer before going to meet a friend for dinner. They have food here but didn't try it Went for a hazy IPA Cloud Dweller but was also offered a sample of their hazy pale ale. Liked the sample better. I tried a sample of the stout which was really tasty and boozy but too much for en empty stomach. Got the Coral Haze hazy pale ale which was my favorite, dangerously drinkable!

Yelp
I recently held my Navy retirement ceremony and reception at Coppertail Brewing Co., specifically in their Event Loft. It was an outstanding venue in a great location with plenty of parking and an amazing staff. The beer is excellent, and they also do catering. The food was absolutely delicious. Everyone loved the smoked french onion dip and chips, buffalo cauliflower, and pulled pork sliders. The loft also has its own bar and bartender which is an added bonus. The relaxed ambiance of the facility is another reason why I chose this place. The event coordinator, Alexis, was great and easy to work with too! I highly recommend choosing Coppertail Brewing Co. for your next event.

Yelp
Came here for a work function which included lunch and beer tour with tasting. The food served was the mac and cheese along with pulled chicken and I also got a piece of the Cuban bread. The Mac and cheese was absolutely DELICIOUS! I had 2 helpings of that stuff. Then when they said there was packaged leftovers for people to take, don't ya know that this girl took that home! Yup no guilt here lol. The chicken had such a nice flavor. Great seasoning and tender. The tour can with 2 samples while on the tour and then a flight once we got back to the tasting room. I am not a beer fan whatsoever so I was not intrigued for the tasting. They did have some wine (not produced by them) that I opted for. Got me a glass of Riesling and I was happy. Tour guide was great and very knowledgeable and engaged very well with us. Great seeing the facilities and learning about the history and processes.

Yelp
We went here for dinner and drinks with some friends last night. I haven't been to Coppertail in a long time, but it was nice to go again. You order all your food and drinks at the bar. The service was quick. I tried their Kühler (Kolsch) beer and it was good, light and crisp. For an appetizer, we shared their giant pretzel with beer cheese, it was delicious, definitely enough to share between 2-4 people. For my entree, I tried their BBQ Crunch Wrap, it was really good. The food paired perfectly with beer. The portions are large, we took home leftovers. The ambiance was nice, it wasn't too crowded and it's nice and clean on the inside. The brewery has plenty of seating and a nice outdoor seating area.

Yelp
LOVE the vibes of coppertail! Big bar, lots of tables inside and out with friendly staff and a lively atmosphere. Beers are delicious but food is just as great! Lamb tacos were perfect with the pickled onions and came as a good portion. The chicken sandwich was the star of the show -- the white sauce it came with blew my mind. Also waffles fries are an easy 10/10. Can't believe I didn't try this place sooner!

Yelp
We were looking for a place to meet a few friends. We decided to try Coppertail Brewing Company. We are glad we did. We sat outside and enjoyed a nice day. One of the couples brought their dog. There were actually quite a few dogs there and the staff offer them bowls of water. They are very dog friendly. The staff was very friendly and the service was efficient. We arrived early and parked ourselves. They do have valet parking as well. There is a very good selection of beers and they offer some ciders and wine as well. We also enjoyed a couple of appetizers and sandwiches. Everything was delicious. I am looking forward to going back.

Yelp
Great place! Briquet tacos are the bomb! Service is fast! Love open vat atmosphere! Could be cleaner... :(
google avatar

Yelp
Coppertail was the first stop in a Tampa brewery tour day, and the fact that they have a great food menu was a plus. The space was very open with plenty of seating. We sat at the bar and had friendly and attentive service, and then eventually moved out to the patio which was a great outdoor space to enjoy the lovely November Florida weather. We ordered the pretzel to start, served with beer cheese, and for meals we had the blackened shrimp Caesar salad and the beer cheese mac and cheese. The food was all very good! For beers, I tried the Catch lime lager and the Sun Runner tropical wheat. Both were very good! Definitely recommend checking this spot out!
google avatar

Bash N.

Yelp
Got tipsy here before work. Ate the chicken tenders with an IPA (cant remember which one) but it was nice and light. Sitting outside with my tendies and beer was a phenomenal experience. I think about it every time I drive by. Bartenders were chill and generous, the type of people you can definitely chat with. Bring your friends here for a nice afternoon.

Yelp
Stop in before heading to the Improv. Tried a similar place in Sanford, Fl and really enjoyed the food and craft beers so wanted to find a one close to home. Coppertail did not disappoint. Good variety of craft beers and menu items. The pretzel and cheese sauce is really good and the fish spread. We ordered a Flight which allowed us to sample different beers, this way you don't order a full glass of one thing to find out you don't like it. No TVS which would be a plus to what they have going on, but without TVs allows good conversation with whoever you're with.
google avatar

Suzanne W.

Yelp
Came in and sat at the bar. Ambiance is super cool. They make all their beers in house so they have a wide selection. Ordered their house cider. Very tasty. I ate their brisket sandwich with a side of fries. Equally delicious. Staff was very friendly and invited me to visit on the weekend where they host tours of their brewery.
google avatar

Yelp
Lively atmosphere, good music and great appetizers. Draft Oktoberfest Beer is sehr gut! Amazing service, very personable staff! Highly Recommended!
google avatar

Yelp
Finally made it to Coppertail Brewery, which has been on my list for awhile. Great beer selection (tried the Chocolate Stout and the Synonym Roll), a variety of food options and good service. The lamb tacos had really great flavor, but they were served lukewarm (likely sat for too long), but everything else was perfect. Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating, and I like that it's family friendly.
google avatar

Kendoll C.

Yelp
fantastic ambiance, delicious beer, patient/friendly staff- a really good visit. Only woe- parking was an absolute mess- they have a smaller on-site lot, but are a very popular brewery, so finding a spot was not easy- after a few circles we ended up down the street, parked on the grass, fingers crossed since a lot of other cars were parking there too we'd be ok- Entering the brewery was welcoming- order at the bar, but QR codes available at tables to view menus/order food. Despite how busy they were, there was ample seating, and bartenders moved the drink order line along quickly, while still allowing samples before committing. The IPAs were good-each having a unique flavor profile. Abyssal 3star roasty dark hops, wish it had a danker profile, was darker creamy Free Dive 2star average basic IPA, easy drinking, piney base Cloud Dweller 4star creamy dank haze (bought a 6pack for home) Night Swim 4star thick creamy milk chocolate Hoppuccino 4star heavy coffee subtle hops Unholy 2star too sweet not deep enough resin Would recommend a visit- had very lively atmosphere to hang out

Yelp
We always have a great time at Coppertail! The atmosphere, draft beer and food selections are exceptional! The staff is attentive and friendly. We have visited a few times and our experience gets better each time. The first time the weather was cool enough to enjoy one of their outdoor tables; we had one of their refreshing IPAs by the name of Winston; since we have tried a few others, with Night Swim stout being one of our favorite. They introduce new brews seasonal but there are a few which are constant in their menu. Their food selections are awesome too! The Fish Dip is amazing, Buffalo Cauliflower is not bad either! So far, all food picks have been great! If you are in the area, do not pass the opportunity for a great experience at Coppertail!
google avatar

Yelp
What an interesting building inside! It's like a Friars museum! There a really cool old wooden confessional you've got to check out on your way to the restroom. Haven't seen one of those since I was a sinner It's quite large inside where you'll find a long bar and tables and many more captivating collections. The artwork is also alluring. Pop
google avatar

Yelp
The unholy is one of my favorite beers. I love the 9% ABV and the smooth flavor. I haven't visited since Stein and Vine was here and seems like a different kitchen concept is now in place. We ordered the pretzel with pimento beer cheese. The pretzel was huge and the sauce amount was generous. I love the interior of this brewery. It's always been a favorite to visit and enjoy their beers. They offer tours. Last one I did. It came with a beer and a glass to keep. Along with samples throughout the tour. It's a beautiful facility and I had a blast learning about one of my favorite beverages. The service was on point on this visit and i enjoyed this visit. Going to bring the family back for their kolsch.
google avatar

Alex M.

Yelp
I really enjoy it here. Have been here a few times and they have some really good beers for sure. Not all of them are good as I have done a couple of flights and some I didn't care for. But they weren't horrible and I can see other people really enjoying them. I had an amazing grapefruit one here once and right now they have a feel hazy ipas that are awesome. Their food is the bomb, especially their loaded fries and giant pretzel
google avatar

Mia L.

Yelp
Love this place! Been coming here for a while and they never disappoint! The staff is always really friendly and helpful. The food is surprisingly delicious and unique. Their cheese and sausage plates are always perfect and the wings and burgers are surprisingly delicious. The beer is wonderful as well. Good variety and great seasonal options. Atmosphere: 5 stars Service: 5 stars Drinks: 5 stars (beer) Food: 5 stars Presentation: 5 stars Flavor: 5 stars Uniqueness: 5 stars Variety: 5 stars Take away: get the wings, the homemade French onion dip with homemade chips and a cheese or sausage plate! You don't regret it! Will continue to be a regular here.

Camryn M.

Yelp
Your typical brewery with tables, order at the bar, and wait for you food to be brought out. Fried chicken sandwich was a little odd (chicken was smoked and then fried). House cider was delish ;) and they had a cool copper octopus mural
google avatar

Neil B.

Yelp
It was a Saturday afternoon and just finished a tour of IKEA, dang...their dining area was mobbed and even the hot dog stand was a wait. Got in the car and went to maps, low and behold just feet away was this place, thank god. It was tough getting parking but did. Walking in through the front doors and your greeted with a view of the brewing vats (see pics). The place was at capacity and open tables were hard to find, inside. We were able to get two seats at the bar. Better yet. Quick to order, quick to serve. I had the Cloud Dweller, wife ordered the Florida Special. Hers was an american lager, lighter. Dweller is a hazy IPA. I ordered the burger and wife Nashville chicken and she is from Nashville and says of all the places down here that claim to have NC, this has been the best so far. The burger also was first class. If you find yourself in our spot, take a trip across the street to Copper Tail.
google avatar

Andrew S.

Yelp
This place is essentially an institution. It's always been great- beer, food, service, and ambience on point. Only thing I'll say is last time we were there, the fries were almost inedible, but it was during a slower time. All other food was great as usual. We will definitely be back!

Dazy L.

Yelp
The food was Great. However the Service not so much. Elderly and Handicapped on crutches and they could not even wait on us at a table. We had to get up to order at the register and when we wanted to reorder drinks, they would not take our order at the table. REALLY! And then you want TIP? What for? There were 5 staff standing at the register and all they ever did was bring our plates, and take away the dirty ones. Ten there were screaming kids running around on the cement floor and their parents were ignoring them, not to mention the staff. No RESPECT.
google avatar

Nick T.

Yelp
Just moved to Tampa and this was our first night going out to a brewery/restaurant...and let me just say Coppertail set the bar extremely high! What a great spot! Service was wonderful, food was absolutely delicious, and the beer...my girlfriend and I had a flight each (4 beers in each flight) and EVERY single beer was good. I don't think I've ever been to a brewery where that was the case. If I weren't full from the food and beer...I think I would have actually tried all 20 beers on their menu. It is seriously that good. If you haven't been, you are missing out! My personal favorite was the "bean-yonce" which I believe was a Florida Weiss that had both coffee and beer flavor! It may not sound appealing but goodness it was incredible. Don't miss out on this gem.
google avatar

K R.

Yelp
Not our first time at coppertail brewing and not our last. We've sat inside but much prefer the outdoor patio. Nice place to sit and have a few brews with friends. I had the pimiento cheese Mac n cheese with brisket. No picture because we shared and devoured it! Very good service and the beers are very tasty. My husband and I have different tastes in beers and at coppertail we are both happy!

Yelp
You know how there is a song for certain moments and places that you reminisce about? Walking into Coppertail reminds me of a dream with it's eclectic murals and one of a kind artistic hardware. I appreciate that kind of thing. Where else am I going to see swan faucets and fish shaped lockets? I just can't think of what song.... Alright, decor aside, the vibe itself in here is chill despite the confessional in the corner. The beers are excellent and the darker porters are decadent, almost dessert like. The Blueberry Donut is my favorite. Too bad there isn't a take home option for this brew. The food pairs well. I got the sausage board and I loved the accouterments that came with it. I would love to return and try some of the other drafts as well as some of the other food. They have some cool merchandise as well. Love the logo, a C shaped mermaid tale. Oh yeah, and that song? Copperhead Roooooaaddd! (But of course replace Copperhead with Coppertail)

Kimberly P.

Yelp
Stellar service, food, and brews! Definitely one of the best brewery experiences in Tampa Bay.
google avatar

Corey R.

Yelp
Love coppertail, favorite brewery in the Tampa Bay Area! Food is amazing highly recommend the pretzel and all the beers are great in their own right. The infamous unholy is a must try but be careful as it is a high % beer!
google avatar

Lara T.

Yelp
Coppertail is one of my favorite Tampa breweries. They always have many of their own beers on tap. Something for everyone. The tasting room is beautiful and large and they also have a very nice patio area. Some of my favorite beers are Night swim, Free dive and of course Unholy. They are located right on the outskirts of the heart of Ybor city which makes it even better and more quiet. They are open daily at 11am. They also have a kitchen with their own delicious food such as wings, buffalo cauliflower, sandwiches and tacos. They make great beer. All true to the styles. They are widely distributed but it's definitely a better experience to come to their tasting room and have a beer and some yummy food.
google avatar

Yelp
Great service, great food, great drinks!! Wonderfull all around. I ordered the pulled chicken sandwich (minus the bun) and the chicken was sooo tender and seasoned well, the sauce on top was a perfect addition. The fries were also perfectly crispy. It was a decent sized portion, had to take half to go! Would 100% recommend
google avatar

Anthony R.

Yelp
Came in for the Bucs brews and bbq event and had a great time! The beer Mac and cheese and brisket Rangoon was out of this world. At the event we played cornhole, water dunk contest, and got a picture with Super Bowl mvp and champion Vincent Jackson! Only recommendation I would have to make this event even better would be to have a DJ so there is music playing in the background. Love this place and look forward to coming back soon! Thank you

Yelp
It's a good spot. Nothing super impressing. Food was ok, drinks are good, atmosphere is ok. Nothing wrong with it, just doesn't make me excited to go.

Yelp
Straight garbage don't get the brisket or chicken sandwich cold and wack so wack. Dame was expecting so much better especially how big the place is service garbage no waiter for how much they are charging

Yelp
Coppertail was a fine stop for a brewery. But here's the thing, it was about 80 degrees on a sunny day (albeit unusual for a December Day) and we were sitting outside on their patio area. The overhead fans were not on and the sun was boring down on us. A great incentive to drink cold beer, but really made for a not pleasant visit. Assuming warm days in Tampa are not "unusual" I was a bit surprised at how "unaccommodating" the outdoor area was. No shades or blinds or anything? We were traveling with a dog so outside seating was where we could sit and they were very welcoming to our canine friends, brought some water for them in a nice bowl. My beer was very good, a sour Nitro Creamsicle, very refreshing (did I mention it was hot?...). We ordered the Fish Dip which was Saltines (as promised) and a scoop of fish dip. The pickled Jalepeño was the best part of the plate which for $11 was okay.
google avatar

Krystal L.

Yelp
I can't say anything bad about this place. We go at least once a month for food and beers, and usually, they always have a few sours on tap which are our favorite. Food is consistently good, and I love how easy it is to find parking during the day for lunch. We usually get fries or a burger and share. Order at the bar and they bring out your food. So easy!

Yelp
My partner and I had two flights with completely different choices and we liked every single option! The tacos were also a yummy choice to accompany the drinks.

Yelp
We met some friends down in Ybor part of Tampa, FL area. We just drove nearly 6 hours from Duck Key, FL to Tampa. We were meeting friends for drinks and decided to stop her as our final stop before we headed to the airport to head back to Pittsburgh, PA. I'm happy we stopped here. This place is large and has a wide selection of beers. I had a Hazy IPA and sat down as we used the time to chat with our friends. I should have gotten a flight but due to time constraints, we just got a couple of beers. Next time I'm getting a flight of beers. This place I liked a lot. They have decent amount of parking here compared to some other breweries that I've visited in the area.

Yelp
We came here last month for some brews and a quick meal and Coppertail was pretty good overall. Our flight was tasty and paired well with our food. The buffalo cauliflower was very tasty and I could have eaten a double portion and my shrimp tacos were decent (honestly good, but not great). My wife got some wings and she liked the flavor, but the wings were a bit dry. There's plenty of space here for small or large groups and they had hockey on a projector, so it is a good place to hang out and relax. There's also plenty of parking, so it's an easy place to visit too. It's a nice brewery overall with decent food and we'd visit again.
