Beverly Hot Springs

I love this place. Everyone that works here has been very sweet. It’s one of the great jewels of the city - a true thermal hot spring from over 2000 feet under Los Angeles. The hot springs are peaceful & in a cave with a beautiful Buddhist shrine. The place is impeccably clean, the towels are always clean & the staff is overly accommodating.

Super clean place, quiet, and not as busy as other spas. The natural spring water feels like velvet on your skin. I've always been happy with all the services I've received at the spa. I've gotten the bodyscrub, the bamboo massage, and body care treatment. All wonderful.

Arrived shortly after they opened on a Thursday. Staff was friendly and professional. Gated parking lot for facility is available. Slippers are provided if needed. Lockers are available too. Facility is clean and well maintained. Too bad the waterfall in the lobby is not in service though. I used the hot spring tub, cold plunge, wet steam room and dry steam room. The spa was not crowded, very peaceful. I also got a body scrub service which is discounted during happy hour. Bathing suits are optional in spa area. There are plenty of places to sit and relax. Will return in the future to try other services. I did have to call to reserve service the day before vist because website didn't work for me, staff was very helpful in booking service for myself and my mother.

I'm sure it looks the same as it did in 1984. I left wondering how they passed their health inspection. We went for the hot spring aspect of this spa. But I rather hit and outdoor hot springs or go to a quality spa. I had a body scrub and it was the least enjoyable service I've ever had at a spa. It hurt, and I was there to relax. This was all done on a portable massage type table in stall next to four other stalls with ladies. The towel they had me rest my head on smelled so bad I couldn't put my head down. This is where my concern for health and safety came in was with the products being used, the proper handling, and the sanitation.I ended my session with a scalp massage. There was a lot of strange hitting on the top of my head and very little massaging of the scalp. This like the scrub, was not relaxing or what I expect. It ended with washing out the oil that was put on my hair (not on my scalp). The quality of shampoo and conditioner was that of dollar store products. One of three hair dryers worked properly. No brushes or combs. Sadly, I was relieved when it was all over. The ladies at the front desk were best part of the visit as the had great customer service.

I’m going to Beverly Hot Springs Last Saturday, I really liked soaking in the mineral water there. It made me feel relaxed and happy when I came there.

Worst experience and customer service by spa attendant on Men’s floor. The young guy who works here provided bad customer service. The rule 2 hours sucks like the policy of entire facility. Never again

As much as I love a natural mineral bath, the woman working inside the spa is incredibly rude and stressful. Also be warned that it does not close at 8:00 as listed on the website and google maps, it closes at 7:45, so be prepared to be rushed out of the baths at 7:45 on the dot. And it’s not because I was there at the end that she was rude, as her energy was rushed and short from the moment I arrived. Even in the signs all over the facilities, you can tell the energy is extremely negative — the signs are not “please no cellphones”, they’re like “NO CELLPHONES OR YOU WILL BE KICKED OUT NO REFUND” all over the place. It really sucks to pay for a relaxing experience and get the opposite. I kindly asked for a refund as a customer courtesy when I made it to the lobby (before 8:00 for the record), and I was immediately shut down and told “if you don’t like it, don’t come back.”

I appreciate that it is the only hot springs in all of Los Angeles. I did not appreciate that the cleaning lady started hosing down the ground and wall while I was still in the water with 45 minutes left until closing time. All that water coming into the hot pool and cold pool. Gross. If there was another hot springs in LA I’d definitely go to that one.

I didn't know this little oasis which is LA's only natural hot spring existed until a friend told me. For $55 you get two hours access to the spa which is all naked. Or free access when u book a treatment. I came in under duress. I was feeling myself get sick not with a communicable disease but with my heavy metal toxicity that's been fucking me up. Like liver problems you know? I was driving and falling asleep from it almost and I happened to be in k town and thought it wise to go get my sweat on somewhere. I paid $55 took my shower went into the grotto and was feeling an instant relief. I tried to shock it out in the cold dip but I just can't that is way too cold for me. I fell asleep in the chairs and kept dipping in and out of the water and the steam room and almost felt better when I left. But not totally. Last time I got that way I was sick for three weeks. This time only three days. Anyway the only thing annoying about this spot is the women keep coming in and yelling out ppls names who booked treatments. It's so harsh against the relaxing landscape. There's got to be a better way to do this? Like don't let people go into the grotto until after their treatment? Idk but that's a total vibe slayer and the more ppl that are there the more often someone's calling someone's name. We're supposed to speak in hushed voices says the sign and then some woman is yelling "KATIE ARE YOU KATIE?!" I am not Katie bro! This is the only complaint I have. And the Cold dip is too cold. But I'm giving five stars anyway cuz I am too prone toward guilt to give four stars.

This place is literally a joke. Nobody even speaks English. I had an overpriced body scrub today and I told them three times not to wet my hair and of course the scrub lady didn't even bother to look at the piece of paper. My hair was all wet. I have extensions and I just paid a lot of money to have it done and now my hair looks like crap. Then I was covered in scalding hot water three times by the lady that did the scrub. Then to top it all off they start yelling at each other in Korean and we're fighting over a workstation nonstop during my procedure.

First time here, ever and it was a HBD gift. And I went today on New Year's for a shiatsu massage. It was a chill and cool experience. I'm always grateful to have a health positive experience such as massages, I'm a nature girl, vegetarian so you get where I'm going. :) The massage was intense, pressure points and all. I'm still a lil sore, but it got the job done. The only caveat here was that the heated blanket didn't function. The spa itself was fun. It felt like I was in a cave in Hawaii. There is a rock waterfall, with buddhas and orchid flowers. I swam around the jacuzzi, went to the sauna, cold plunged it. I was there for the full experience, bc it's a new year. :) Also, FYI zero clothing is allowed in the spa areas but during the massage they gave me large shorts to wear. That made me more comfortable actually. My only reservations are there are a few things here and there that need a handyman to attend to. But hey the parking is excellent, and the service very friendly.

The natural mineral water is so healing! I had the scrub after soaking and enjoying the steam room, another dip in the fabulous water and was so pleased and happy with everything when I left. Yes, there is a parking lot and it's free.

Been going there for over 40 years. It is truly the very best. Every treatment is done with care. You feel entirely rejuvenated.

Clean, friendly, has parking- felt safe. If you need peace and quiet, if you enjoy a cold plunge and a din chillax in the grotto type vibes you'll love this place. Favorite place in the world. This is not 24-hrs or co-Ed but that's fine. It's hot springs is amazing. Check the hours and bring your slip resistant flip-flops.

I love hot springs and soaking in hot spring water so I really wanted to like this place since it's the closest to me, but unfortunately the vibes were just not right. The front desk, and most of the attendants were very nice but one attendant in particular made it very stressful as she would come in every 10 minutes, stare, and then go back. At one point she accosted my friend for wearing women's swim trunks, repeatedly asking if they are for swimming. My friend confirmed that yes, they are just trunks, and she said she would see what her manager had to say. It made us anxious the rest of the time there that the manager was going to come and kick us out because my friend wasn't wearing bikini bottoms. It's just annoying because I know what she had on is almost identical to what the men are probably wearing on their side. The posted rules were also a bit confusing. There are a million signs and some say different things from each other, the only one specifying to shower after each sauna use is above the water cooler, and there's another random sign asking to put your hair in the hair net. We wanted to be respectful and follow all the rules but it's hard when they're not all in one cohesive place. It made the experience more stressful than relaxing. The good about the place though is the mineral water feels great, the rock facade is dated but charming in its own way. The steam rooms feel great. I think the cold plunge temperature could stand to be upper a few degrees as it was the coldest one I had ever been in, but could be really appealing to some people.

First time and probably my last.... Here are my take aways, let's start with the good. Pros: nice decor. Friendly staff. Seating area in the men's area is comfortable. Really large hot tub. Mineral water makes the skin feel silky. Cool zen rock garden thing to look when in the hot tub. Dry sauna has a unique wooden seating area where you can sit in a reclined position. Very comfortable. Ice plunge is super cold. Cons: spa area needs work on esthetics. Stained ceilings and walls. Steam sauna is super small. Maybe 4-5 guys max. Dry sauna also small 4-5 guys max. Scrub was good but the area where it was dine felt dirty. No coed area. No restaurant. 2 hr time limit because of how small it is. $45 entry which is more than other spots and not as nice. Overall decent experience. I wouldn't come back only because there are better ones out there for less.

Unfortunately, this place has been systematically mismanaged and has gone downhill :( It's become filthy and very unsanitary. On top of it, the attendants of the male spa are extremely hostile and, frankly, just mean to customers.

The mineral water was therapeutic and relaxing. I do recommend you come for the experience. But the massage was painful and left me sore for a few days. He did not understand me when I asked him to be more gentle. I counted the minutes until the massage was over at which point I was crying. My husband felt the same way; we were so unhappy! Many lockers were broken and it took a while to find one that worked. They offer you a small towel and no robe. I've been to spas in hotels and was surprised they did not offer the robe. I requested an extra towel and was told that is not the policy. When I mentioned my massage was so unpleasant to a woman next to me, she said, "You should only ask for a scrub, never a massage; they are always painful here." If you go for the mineral water, you'll be very content. Bring your own robe if you prefer to walk around that way. The pool is really a special experience. Skip the rest.

don't bother calling them. they'll pretend to put you on hold while you hear them in the background trying to be quiet. Clearly they are not interested in any new business. What an unaccommodating, inhospitable way to run your business. Hire someone new for the phone if they don't have energy to do their job. I called twice and was hung up on after being told I'll be put on hold.

Starting off with the free parking lot is wonderfully convenient. Immediately entering, I was greeted by the friendly staff. The atmosphere was tranquil and the facilities were clean. The other guests were all very friendly and quiet. My 90 minute massage was intense and really helped my sore muscles. I had a lovely time and will be back again!

The Beverly Hot Springs has been my blessing for over 25 years now. I am considered 'one of the regs'. Love all the staff and the owners. Angela the Manager, is a kind, wonderful human being. She's fair and very personable but she will enforce the Spa rules if needed which has been put in place since the beginning the doors of the Spa were opened. There are absolutely no electronics of any kind permitted in the Spa area. There are signs posted everywhere about this and also no loud speaking in the Spa area as well. You will be asked to leave if you do not comply. That's fair considering you're there to relax right? The Beverly Hot Springs is considered a 'High End Spa' so there are many celebrities who do attend which is why they have to be extra mindful of their safety and privacy -- but really these rules are set in place for everyone's personal enjoyment and pleasure . I personally appreciate that. Love this place so much!

Was so excited to celebrate my birthday at the spa. Mostly it was a good experience. Body scrub was great, massage was good, facial was awful. The facialist was sweet but determined to upsell me from the get-go. The entire facial lasted maybe 10 minutes and the whole time she talked about her clients, Cher and Madonna., etc. I was very unhappy as I felt like I had paid for a facial (at least 30 minutes and more than a hot washcloth and lotion). When I called to let them know they refused to do anything about it. Felt very ripped-off. Won't go back!

Love the hot spring pool environment so much- it's a real escape and super relaxing. We went at a not busy time early on weekday. This is a small spa with only a large hot pool, cold pool, steam sauna and relaxation space, no mineral or ice rooms. The basic body scrub is excellent and did the trick, just know it's basic no frills. There are other recommended treatments. Will be back for sure.

I absolutely love it here. The hot springs alone bring me more relaxation than a full blown massage from other locations. Their sports massages, deep tissue massages and body scrubs are iconic. I go a few times a year for a reset and spend every birthday there. Highly recommend.

I love the ambiance. It's small, quiet and peaceful. I leave feeling incredibly and my skin only gets better after each visit. The workers are so kind and direct. They are dedicated to keep the place peaceful and efficient for all.

I love that this place has actual springwater! They are small as compared to some of the other big Korean spas... only one sign at one steam room, one pool, and one cool dip in the women's section. Both times I've gone I've gotten services, and love them. I got the scrub with the oil massage and it came with a small facial with cucumbers all over my face and also a milk bath, and hair shampoo and condition. Best part was the scalp massage! Pro tip: there is a happy hour from 10 AM to 2 PM on Tuesday and Wednesday. It's 15% off - for all services -check out their website.

Well thank the gods Beverly Hot Springs is back on a normal schedule. They're answering the phone for appointments and bodywork is staffed up. I've been back a handful of times this year and every time has been great! Prices on bodywork have gone up, it's true everywhere. Expect to spend between $105-125 for a 50-minute deep tissue or Shiatsu massage, and if you're rolling large tack on an add-on service like a scrub, reflexology or facial/haircare. The client load is still sparse, which i love, tho it's gotta be hard for therapists and it gets a tad busy after 4. It's usually pretty easy to get an appointment and some days I have the pools to myself for an hour. Heaven!

I LOVED this place years ago. It was a treat and unique. So I decided to revisit and get a facial. The facial I desired was no longer being offered so I opted for the CUSTOMIZED FACIAL. The place was shabby and NOT CHIC. Pretty clean, but pitiful. The best thing about it is the spring which looked like a swap because the pool lights were not working. The facial was $235. The gal was in the room for 15 minutes just to replace the sheet masque that she applied. Let's call her chatty Cathy who used the time to promote herself. Back to the Olympic Spa. Beautiful luxurious and I can live without the spring.

I went to Beverly Hot Springs for a body scrub and leg waxing. My complaints are: 1. the sauna was barely warm 2. the water in the shower was lukewarm 3. they did not record the correct time for my leg waxing and were completely unwilling to make any accommodation 4. the absolute worst leg waxing I've ever had. I still have a fair amount of visible hair on both my legs and will have to finish the job myself. I would have done a better job on my own. I've been here before for body scrubs so I know the place is old, not well taken care of and that I shouldn't expect much. The mineral pool is nice but it doesn't make up for the lack of quality in service. I won't be going back!

First time at a Korean Spa so I didn't have any preconceptions or anything to compare it to. I liked the fact that for a low entry fee you can enjoy the mineral bath, sauna, steam room and cold dip. It does look like it's seen better days but we're coming off a couple years of mandatory closures so not surprised there has probably been some cost cutting. I found it a decent experience. Quiet. Relaxing. Not the cleanest but far from dirty. Only complaint is the rationing of towels and lack of water in the sauna area.

Really amazing services offered at the spa. Take the time around the holidays to really honor your body. I often get depressed with the colder darker days and the human connection of massage really helps. Not to mention sitting quietly with myself in the hot mineral water helps slow my mind from racing. Just LOVE this place!

Great location with good parking and extremely kind staff. I love the body scrub and the hot spring, especially enjoy the quiet peaceful vibe.

Call Place it's so healing and such a great place to meditate in recompose oneself. The body care is a special treatment. You will not have anywhere else. You will be washed like a brand new baby from head to toe, and all of the nonsense will be massaged right out of your body washed with something that smells like strawberry yogurt or just honey or a milk bath. It's amazing feel like a brand new human being when you're done. The waters here are really amazing and unique. Not like the waters that you would have that are made by added minerals. This place is actually built on artesian wells. A gem of a find in LA.

I went with my daughter, got scabies after charging such a high price. is a shame, I would never recommend it anymore.

This is my new favorite place! Seriously, soaking in hot mineral water in a cave with waterfalls is one of the best things EVER! I deal with chronic pain from a neurological disorder, and between the soak and the shiatsu massage I had, I was feeling NO pain for about 24 hours. The lady who did my massage was warm and friendly and really knew what she was doing. The lady at the window who gives you your towels & hair net (Maria) was super sweet and really helped me to feel comfortable my first time at this facility. I loved the waterfalls and all the pretty plants & Asian statuary inside and outside of the spa. I'm already planning on returning in a couple of weeks. Such a great experience!

I love the hot natural spring waters that are so relaxing and therapeutic to your being. It's so close that their are times when I am so run down that I go 2x a week. The only thing that ruins the moment are people that come in with their phones. There are signs all over the place to remind us that it's a place of relaxation and not only that with so many people identifying themselves differently that I respect the no phones rule. Thank you management for looking out for all us of and allowing us to feel save from prying eyes and their phones.

Now that my favorite spa in k town is charging an arm and a leg this is my goto. It's got a retro vibe because it hasn't been updated but the spring water is divine and my massage was just what I needed. Next time I'll get a scrub.

Heads up, confirm amenities as shown/listed on their flyers, website and places like Yelp, are indeed in working order. The dignity of the operator(s) of this place is Sadly in question. First off, I loved this place back in the 90's I was so happy to get reacquainted this year, when they reopened post their Covid closure. I'm told the Manager's name is Stacy, Stacie or perhaps Stay-see? Nonetheless, she might want to empower her staff, since she isn't available to deal with her business's rightfully aggravated, short changed customers, herself. I called to inquire how busy they were, I was told "busy" cause they only had one male technician for spa services, ok, I asked specifically about men's facilities, were they crowded? I don't like crowds as too much talking takes place and the peaceful vibe is lost. Bummer, I have physical problems that I tend to, by coming here for the hot mineral water and the steam room...the sauna once in a while. The steam is very good for my health. The visit today, after paying my $45 entry fee and making my way up stairs, getting undressed and heading to the steam room first, I see it is out of service, no sign, no steam, ok, I'll handle that when I leave. Two other patrons complained they weren't aware the steam room was out of service once they were going to use it. I'm not the only one feeling fleeced. Upon my departure I asked for a very reasonable credit of $10 for my next visit, I valued the steam room as a bit less than one quarter of the admission price. The gentleman and lady at the front desk listened to my request, I was told, I really am paying for the "mineral water pool with my admission" not the steam room...yes, that is what I was told. I was surprised at that approach. I asked why they don't tell people first, I was directed to a handwritten jumble of bleeding sharpie ink, quite small. It is one of 5 or 6 signs and notices festooned on the counter with clip boards and sign in sheets. I reiterated I wanted a $10 credit for my next visit, that's all. I was told To write my name and number and the Gentleman said "he'd look into it". $10 towards my next visit is what I felt was more than fair. I liked these folks but "Stacy" the MIA manager puts them in an uncomfortable position, standing up for what amounts to a sleazy business practices against patrons of her business. I would not have gone there or payed, if I was told the steam room was out of service, I would make it another time as $45 is precious to me and a way to care for my health, a deserved treat. I can guarantee that $10 means more to me as a short changed customer than it does to the owner. I told the front desk that I am a great believer in Yelp and how it helps consumers steer clear of bad businesses or patronize businesses who have good value and I was going to share my experience today. Odd, they can remember to take your entrance money, they should be instructed to remember the detail like amenities not working and letting patrons know and let them decide if that's alright, not sleazily hoping folks, once upstairs, let it slide as they've already disrobed and locked a locker. Very dissatisfied with Beverly Hot springs and how the Manager, Stacy/Stacie or Stay-see displays, what I see as contempt for her clientele, and leaves the dirty work to her front desk staff. Penny wise and pound foolish, that's the title of this review. Low brow business practice. Shame, Shame manager "Stacy" Empower your employees with the ability to keep a good client from leaving your premises angry. No one needs added aggravation, especially from a place that is supposed to be about unwinding. So sorry I went there today.

The massage was pretty good but the whole experience was pretty bad. We walked in to a sign that said the steam room was not working. The place did not look as clean as I had seen it about 6 months ago so that was disappointing especially since I was treating coworkers. The front desk seemed unorganized and the changing room lockers were broken. My masseur was late and a bit sweaty when he got there. But he was good and knew Shiatsu well. The two stars are only because of that. If you need a good massage and don't mind feeling like you are at the Y, then its a good value.

I always enjoy going to this spa. It my second time now and I plan to become a regular. My skin always feels amazing after leaving. I feel relaxed and the atmosphere is peaceful. I did my first body scrub and it went great. The workers are all so kind and also direct. I can't say enough great things about this place.

I always love coming here and doing the hydro therapy- hot and cold plunge. It's very relaxing and the attendants are very helpful. Definitely a place to have quiet and peace, and a quick little mediation in the sauna :)

Let's start with the waters. No other spa in Los Angeles is heated with geothermal water. The heater is earth. If your skin is feeling dead then a body scrub will enliven it. If you are feeling like you need replenishment and hydration then the body care will take care of you. If you need both, go for it. I know I have entered the doors of BHS depleted and I exit as a new woman ready to conquer whatever is going on in my endless, big city To-Do list. Eddie and his family do a wonderful job with BHS. If you have a friend from out of town, put BHS as a must do. Your friend will thank you and you'll love it, too!

The front desk staff is kind and helpful. Enjoyed the facilities. Had a deep tissue and scalp head massage add on by YE and it was fabulous. My skin is so soft now. I am very relaxed.

Very disappointed in this place! It was my daughters 16th birthday and she was looking forward to getting a body scrub and relax at the spa! They asked me my daughters ages and decided they didn't want to let them in and they had changed the age limit last month to 18! Not updated on the site at all! I feel like it was very discriminatory! Will never come back here again! I run my own business in Los Angeles and would never treat customers this way!

NOT a luxury spa. Over priced. not dirty bit not clean either... dingy atmosphere, needs a remodel that feels dirty around the edges. There is a MAJOR leak in the women's ceiling at the wall that seprates the spa and the dressing room. SOOO much water pouring down and black mold on the base boards. This alone will be why I don't go back The massages and scrubs were aggressive and hurt all of us. If this was $30 and there was no leak/mold I would be probably be fine going every now and again just for the mineral spa. But $50 and mold. They need to shut down and deal with these issues.

My experience here has been satisfying. I've been coming here on and off depending on my mood. They say the water is coming from spring and this is the main reason I come here. The water is supposed to be good for the skin. Aside from the fact that the sauna is really hot and the steam room is equally hot as well. These things are important for me to have a really good spa experience.

I brought my mother in law here for a massage, and to use the spa area. She loved her massage! The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the water was very relaxing and warm. The steam room was intense! The cold pool was a very nice rest from the heat. They have you put on hairnets for the pool, which is fine- however there was a lot of hair floating around the pool. I think it could have been cleaner. Also, this place could be so much more if they updated the fixtures, and made high quality installations of things like flooring, ceiling, lights, chairs, etc. The decor and atmosphere feels very cheap, and messy and disjointed. It kinda looks like your crazy uncle who is a bad tradesman installed everything. I only say this because it could be so much more. As it is, though, it's affordable, and it was a fun day :). P.s. I am not sure about them using the term hot spring. This term gets thrown around pretty loosely. The water did feel like geothermal water, but if it was it was very mild.

Love it! It's a relaxing time and the staff are wonderful. The mineral water bath is warm, soft and delightful. It doesn't smell like Sulphur. There's also a cold bath and steam and dry saunas.

Angela has worked miracles on my skin with her facials-- could not recommend highly enough! Before seeing her, people regularly thought I was much older than I actually am... and now I've had multiple instances of people assuming I'm 10 years younger. I came to her and told her I was getting married in a year and she worked with me to figure out a plan for my skin to make sure I look my best on the big day. Other facial places and even dermatologists I went to before her just showed me a list of options and asked what treatment I wanted and treated each visit as a one-off but she's helped me holistically come up with a plan to achieve my skin goals over time and feels like a true partner in helping me get there. She has lots of helpful recommendations and info and it feels like she really listens when I express what I'm looking for, but she is not pushy. I never wanted to go down the path of botox, fillers, etc. and she's achieved results without that. I've always been insecure about my skin. Now, I feel confident I'll look my best on my wedding day, and also feel more confident in my day to day life. I'm very grateful!
