Google
Hawkers Asian Street Food is, quite simply, excellent. It's easy to see why this is one of the highest-rated Asian restaurants in town—it is truly well-deserved. We returned on two different nights, trying different dishes each time, and the quality was consistently high across the board. What to Order • I would highly recommend any of the noodle dishes. They were flavorful and perfectly prepared both times we visited. • Be sure to get the bread with dipping sauce. It’s more like a huge, delicious scallion pancake, and it was excellent, excellent! The Experience The service was phenomenal. Our food was great, and we had absolutely no complaints whatsoever across both visits. From the quality of the ingredients to the execution of the dishes and the attentive staff, Hawkers delivered a five-star experience every time. If you're looking for an authentic and great Asian dining experience, this is the place to go.

If I could give this more stars I would….we had a great experience. We visited Charlotte for the day and chose this place for dinner. The food we ordered was so good. I thought the price to portion ratio was perfect. I loved the atmosphere and ambiance. We seriously had the best waitress. She was so sweet, helpful and was so fun to chat with. She made our visit even better! I definitely recommend this place and ask for Christina to be your waitress. You won’t be disappointed!

We had a great experience at Hawkers for our wedding-anniversary lunch. We both love Asian food, and this place delivered! The Korean fried chicken was amazing—ultra-crispy batter with a miso-flavored spicy sauce. The curry sauce with roti was outstanding; we loved how they bake the roti—flaky layers with a crisp surface. We told Jerome, the manager, how much we loved their roti, and he was so kind—he treated us to extra roti and mini doughnuts on the house! That thoughtful gesture made our day even more special. We also ordered the curry and the Shrimp Summer Roll with peanut sauce—both excellent. I highly recommend Hawkers. You won’t regret it!

Google
AMAZING EXPERIENCE at Hawkers. After visiting a Hawkers in Florida, we were excited to try Charlotte. Our server, Shannon, was FANTASTIC and made our visit memorable. The food was phenomenal as our party shared dishes. Cocktails were an excellent compliment. Highly recommend Hawkers Charlotte.

Stopped in on a whim while visiting Charlotte. It was a laid back atmosphere and not packed. We sat at the bar to have a couple drinks.we also tried their duck bao buns and they were delicious. The service was just okay, nothing to write home about.

In town for a concert and hungry for something light, my friends and I wandered into this spot, lured in by the look of the photos of the menu—vibrant, flavorful, and promising. We were seated right away, which is always a good sign, but from there, things got a bit... fuzzy. The menu wasn’t the easiest to navigate. We were hoping for some guidance from our waiter, but the help we got was minimal at best—cue the confused glances around the table. We ended up ordering a spread of appetizers: golden wontons, chicken egg roll, dumplings, chili crisp cucumbers, chili garlic edamame, and spiced lamb skewers. It sounded like a delicious little tour of flavor, but unfortunately, the execution left us underwhelmed. The food wasn’t bad, but it also wasn’t memorable—and for the price, you expect your taste buds to at least throw a little party. Instead, we left still hungry and a bit disappointed, feeling like we’d just grazed through an overpriced sampler platter without ever landing on a true standout. If you’re familiar with the menu and know exactly what to order, you might fare better. But if you’re walking in for the first time hoping for helpful recommendations and bold flavors, you may find yourself wanting more. Literally.

Google
I had a wonderful experience! I decided to have my college graduation dinner at hawkers. The staff was very accommodating for my large party and they were overly generous. Carolina was an attentive and caring server. We ordered over 60 small plates to share and everything was hot and delicious. The staff even surprised me with a graduation gift and dessert! This truly was the highlight of my day and one of the best dining experiences I have ever had! Personalized interactions with customers go a long way so thank you to the management and team at Hawkers for making my dinner memorable❤️

Google
This is an old review but still worth the read. This was our 6th Hawkers at the time and by far the most eclectic experience, the crowd, graffiti, trains, crowd, and community. Oh yeah, Hawkers, South End Charlotte is more eclectic than the Belt line Atlanta. If you are a Hawkers fan, please put it on your bucket list. The service and food were exceptional as always and the vibe was wonderful. We had Korean Fried wings with sauce and a 5 spice piece rub- perfect. We added Roti, Shrimp and Chicken Lo Mein, and Basil Fried rice with chicken. Com’on man, 🛑insanely good. We also had a few drinks and as usual the Lemon Grass Mojito in bag 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿 With that, again I highly recommend this Hawkers in South End Charlotte; oh when you done, can you imagine a Jeni’s Ice cream 🍨??? Oh yeah next door! Oh thank you so much South End for the 29th anniversary card, gifts, and pictures while we were in Hawkers Nashville visiting #7! Classy as ever!

Yelp
Overall really loved this spot! One thing to be mindful of is that this place only accepts credit cards or tap (no cash), which isn't that big of a deal in 2025 but still something to be mindful of. Another watch out is that the food comes out as it's cooked so things will come out at different times. We shared everything though so it wasn't that big of a deal. We came here in time for happy hour and ordered pretty much everything on that menu: Japanese fried chicken, Korean fried chicken, Seoul chicken bao, and edamame. We also got the spiced lamb skewers, soup dumplings, and seared chicken dumplings. It's really hard to go wrong with anything on the menu. It's really rare to find one place that can do so many different types of cuisine so well. By far my favorite dish was the Japanese fried chicken. The chicken was so crispy and crunchy and paired really well with the Kewpie mayo. The only thing on the menu I'd recommend you'd avoid is the edamame. It supposedly has a chili garlic seasoning but you couldn't really taste it at all. It also may have been overcooked because the edamame skin kept coming off whenever you tried to it. Still, 6 out of 7 items being amazing helps Hawkers keep the 5 stars from me.

Yelp
This was such a great Asian restaurant to discover while spending the day in Charlotte recently! We decided to share everything so we ended up getting: chili garlic edamame, Japanese fried chicken, Korean fried chicken, soup dumplings, chicken dumplings, hot chicken bao buns, and lamb skewers all to share. First of all, we went around 4:00pm so it was happy hour and a lot of appetizers are only $5 so we got the edamame, Japanese & Korean fried chicken all for $5, and the bao buns were only $6, so I definitely recommend going during happy hour if you can. The food was really delicious & I was impressed. The only thing I didn't love was the edamame - it wasn't as flavorful as I hoped which was disappointing, especially with "chili, garlic" in the name of the dish. Everything else was delicious though. Soup dumplings are one of my favorite Asian dishes and I thought these were great. They had a nice ginger pork flavor and came with a ginger vinegar dipping sauce. The chicken dumplings were also One of my favorites - we got them seared so they were the perfect texture combination of crispy and chewy. The Japanese fried chicken was SO crispy and flavorful. It's served with kewpie mayo too. The Korean fried chicken was also really flavorful and had the perfect amount of crispiness. The bao was really delicious too with a little kick. They also have saki flights (which we didn't try) but a cool concept. They also offer hot teas and other drinks. The inside is really spacious & there's a nice outdoor area. Service was really good - no complaints there. Overall, I loved this spot & definitely recommend for a great variety of Asian dishes!

Yelp
Fun space in hot Southend!! Pretty authentic sauces and dishes and they seem to do Thai, Indian, Korean etc very well!! Ambiance is fun but not crazy. Walkable from light rail in Charlotte!

Yelp
Service was prompt! Lady was nice and has a smile. I'm a sucker for a smiling face! Food was fresh & hot. Perfect for outdoor seating with the view we had! Ambiance is great. Reminds me of the beltline in Atlanta! Love this place....... Beautiful day to be out as well! On to the next spot.....

Yelp
This is such a fun spot! I got the Singapore mei fun which was super delicious and very filling! I also tried a mojito which came in a juice-pouch-style vessel, making the cocktail experience much more memorable. The service was good, they explained that the kitchen was backed up, so any wait was understandable. Inside it can get pretty loud, but it's still easy to chat and a great spot to go with a group. Highly recommend for tasty noodles and a lively atmosphere.

Yelp
Loved this place. Fun looking, artsy interior design. Eclectic music playing. Nice variety of Asian dishes. Three of us ordered more than we could finish. Chinese bbq pork baos dim sum, garlic edamame, chicken satay, roti canai, Pad Thai, coconut shrimp, curry duck noodles, Vietnamese salad, chili crisp cucumbers ... seriously over ordered. Bad photos of really good food. 5 take home boxes. LOL

Yelp
A great eatery offering plenty of options at reasonable prices. The menu features a variety of dishes inspired by different Asian countries. While I wouldn't call it the most authentic experience, it's a solid choice for a casual meal. The atmosphere: The space is large with ample indoor and outdoor seating. It's beautifully decorated with neon signs, wok lights, and colorful décor both on the walls and hanging from the ceiling, creating a vibrant and welcoming vibe. The food: Drawn in by the "roti canai" neon sign, I decided to order the roti canai dish. It came with two warm roti flatbreads and a small bowl of curry, all served hot and fresh. While it wasn't the best I've ever had, it was definitely delicious and comforting. The service: Service was excellent. Our server was kind, attentive, and consistently checked in to make sure we had everything we needed.

Yelp
Really wish I lived closer to Hawkers. The food is excellent. It's flavorful, nutritious, and filling. It was such a challenge deciding on what to order. The dim sum, the noodles, the curry...so many great options to consider. Eventually I chose shrimp spring rolls and CKT. Since it was a nice fall day, we opted to sit outside. Our server greeted us and told us about Hawkers. Restaurants that deliver plates as the kitchen finishes them have fully grown on me. I love this concept. The dishes arrive when at their peak and sooner than they otherwise would have. This concept works well for shared plates, but I don't mind it for individual plates (especially when you are informed in advance). We loved our individual dishes so much that we didn't even want to share. I certainly want to return next time I visit Charlotte, and recommend this restaurant to others!

Yelp
After my niece's graduation, we decided to try Hawkers and it turned out to be one of the best choices I could've made! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. My top favorites were the sticky ribs and the deep-fried bao bun both packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. The wings are good as well. We also enjoyed the roti appetizer and tried three different fried rices, each one tasty in its own way (you can add your choice of protein, which is a nice touch). The drinks were just as impressive flavorful and well-balanced. Overall, the experience was amazing from start to finish. I'll definitely be back soon!

Yelp
I stopped by Hawkers and had such a great experience! Everything is made to share, which makes it perfect for trying a little bit of everything. I ordered the Spring Rolls and the Pork Belly Bao Buns-- both were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The bao buns especially were a highlight, with the soft, fluffy bun and savory pork belly. Maria took amazing care of us and shared her personal favorites from the menu. For my drink, I went with the Margarita-Thai, and it was such a fun twist on a classic-- refreshing with just the right kick of spice and ginger. Even the bathrooms impressed me-- creative wall decor, spotless counters, and not a single paper towel out of place. Bathrooms say a lot about an establishment, and I was definitely not disappointed! The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and the service made the whole experience even better. Definitely a great spot for a casual night out with friends or a fun date night!

Yelp
During my third trip up to Charlotte, I decided to give Hawkers another chance. I really appreciated the Senior General Manager, Nino, for responding to my previous review and looking into the matter and discussing the issues with the team at Hawkers. Great customer service like that goes a long way with me. Typically, if businesses don't truly care about their customers, I wouldn't give them a second chance. However, Hawker's management shows that they do care and that's why I came back. I came in a few minutes after they opened to make a to-go order. I noticed there's quite a bit of menu items missing from their online ordering so it was worth the extra wait time to try new menu items I would have otherwise missed out on if I made an online order. I totally understand, too. Soup dumplings don't travel well and are best eaten fresh, not all menu items are great for to-go travel, etc. I was the first customer to arrive which meant the parking was a BREEZE! When I come back to Charlotte again, I'm strictly sticking to coming in earlier than later for the best parking possible. The hostess was kind and gave me updates on my order. Unfortunately, the Thai tea I ordered wasn't available and I understood that completely. I was there early and good Thai iced tea takes time to make (I'm still learning how to perfect it at home). The bartender asked if she could make me a mocktail instead and they comped my Thai iced tea as well. I told the bartender to surprise me and she asked for me to try it before I left to make sure it was good. The mocktail was delicious and I really appreciated the superb customer service this visit. I ordered my two favorites and two new items. My favorites being the curry mashed potatoes and the twice fried Korean wings. I also tried the curry duck noodles and the coconut shrimp. Did you know you can order extra curry on the side?! Now I do! Their curry is seriously SO good. Once again, I loved everything I ordered. The duck was perfectly cooked, it was a great meal for a rainy day. The coconut shrimp were also delicious and paired well with the curry sauce. I won't be back in Charlotte until after the holidays, but when I do come back, I'll definitely add Hawker's to my permanent go-to list.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place out for so long but never made it out here. One day we decided to spontaneously get lunch here. The inside is really cute and bigger than I expected. You can always count on it being fairly packed here too but we didn't wait at all since there is ample space and seating. It's also located in a bustling area in South End so parking can be difficult if you are driving. Onto the food! We only wanted a light lunch so we didn't order much. We ordered the Cucumber Salad and the 5 Spice Sticky Ribs. The Cucumber Salad was actually delicious. The cucumbers were so crisp and hydrating and the marinade/ sauce was so flavorful and delicious. It was also a generous portion for an appetizer. This is a great option for a light and yummy start to your meal. For the entree, we split the 5 Spice Sticky Ribs. The meat was fairly tender and the sauce was so yummy. This was definitely filling and we could split it between us and feel satisfied since there was a lot of meat on the ribs.!I wasn't too sure about the fried bao because it felt very heavy but my friend absolutely loved it so just a matter of preference. I would have preferred that it was not fried. We were surprised that we liked what we ordered so much honestly because we did not know what to expect. I definitely will be returning to try out more of the menu because what we got was impressive. I can see why this place is super popular. The service was also great and fast even when there was a crowd there. And everyone's food around us looked super yummy too so it seems like you can't go wrong with what you order. I will definitely be returning when I am more hungry.

Yelp
Fantastic food at a great price point! We went to Hawkers for a late lunch with a group of 4 friends. There was truly something for everyone on the menu. We ordered about 12 small plates and felt like it was a great amount of food. We loved the variety and there wasn't a single dish we did not like. Some highlights were the chili crisp cucumbers and chicken dumplings. They also have a fantastic cocktail list. The service was good overall. We appreciated that we were able to make multiple orders of a few small plates at a time to pace ourselves.

Yelp
Penang Poutine (5/5): Great fries with TONS of melty cheese curds. The cheese was delicious but there was probably a little too much of it. The sauce was very flavorful and I wish there was more of it. Korean Twice Fried Wings (4/5): Very crispy wings. The sauce was just ok though. Pork Belly Bao Bun (4/5): Tender meat (but a little too fatty) with good flavor. Loved the addition of crushed peanuts for some added texture. Shrimp Summer Rolls (3/5): Cold and refreshing. I'm not a huge fan of these in general, but it's better than most of the other ones I've had. RATING SYSTEM 5 - Great (Need to get this again) 4 - Good (Would get this again) 3 - Ok (Might give this another shot) 2 - Not Good (Won't get this again) 1 - Bad (Telling people to avoid this)

Yelp
After three years I finally made it back! I've not stopped thinking about how good this food is. Every single thing is amazing but this trip I ordered the roast duck and Chinese bbq pork bao buns and golden wontons. To go I ordered the bong king sticky ribs and way too many roti canai. (My roommate was with me on our first time and couldn't be with me this trip so I had to bring her favorites back to her.) We desperately need a Hawkers to open in Charleston. It would do phenomenal! The staff is always so pleasant and attentive. I'm general the place looks great. It's such a cool vibe with indoor and outdoor seating. Street parking is available as well garage parking right around the corner. 10/10 recommend

Yelp
Vibe is 100% Service is 100% Food is AMAZING! 10000% Not sure I can say more, favorite thing on the menu is the curry ramen. Would order over and over again and once more on uber eats to eat in bed.

Yelp
This is easily one of my top five places to eat in the city. I save it for special occasions bc I'm too broke to go on the regular but its well worth every penny every time I go. The roti is a must, the korean twice fried wings are stupid freaking delicious, the dumplings, the bao buns are amazing, and quite literally anything you order will be a great experience. The atmosphere is probably about as close to an "asian street market" experience I'll ever get around to having and I love it. I want to make sure I put this in writing so I can get credit when / if they ever add this to the menu so if you're still reading... take note. Order the roti and order the Korean twice fried wings. Pull the chicken off the wings and assemble your own Korean twice fried roti chicken tacos then dip them in the curry sauce and enjoy the best asian/mexican food fusion concept of your life. Just make sure I get credit for them when they hit the official menu one day.

Yelp
Loved the vibe at Hawkers! The Asian comic book wallpaper added a cool, unique touch to the atmosphere, and I really enjoyed the small plate concept. It's a great spot for trying a little bit of everything. The service however was a bit hit or miss during our visit. It seemed like we came at a hectic time, so we hardly saw our bartender, and the food took m a while to come out. We also ordered the spring rolls, only to be told about 30 minutes later that they were unavailable. Definitely not ideal, but to their credit, they took the bao buns off our bill to make up for it, which we appreciated. Once things settled down, we ordered the Lo Mein and it was perfect. Seriously flavorful and cooked just right. I also tried the "Tiger Tail" cocktail on the bartender's recommendation. it was a nice balance of sweet and spicy, and a fun drink to sip on. Overall, despite a few bumps in the road, I'd absolutely give it another shot, especially when it's not as busy. The food and atmosphere are worth it!

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place out since a friend mentioned how great this place is and it didn't disappoint. We were seated promptly. There is cool artwork throughout the restaurant. We shared a couple of items. Chilu crisp wontons, Roast duck bao, lamb skewers, and chicken satay skewers. All were tasty but the lamb skewers were my favorite. I would definitely visit again if in town.

Yelp
We visited Hawkers on a Friday night around 7. We were seated immediately even with a pretty full restaurant. Our waiter, Seyma was attentive and friendly. We ordered the soup dumplings, 10/10 - they were hot, flavorful and the sauce it was served with were great! The chinese bbq pork bao buns - 7/10 - very sweet taste but the buns were a great texture. Basil fried rice with chicken - 6/10 - not a lot of flavor but prepared well. Twice fried wings - 8/10 - very saucy, not overly dry and a nice flavor. We also ordered a few cocktails. The experience was pretty good and I would try them out again. All the food came out pretty quickly as well. Try them out!

Yelp
I would rate this place a solid 8/10. A perfect place for casual dining experience, they have a patio you can bring dogs to and they offered water for him. The food was awesome I had the pad Thai that had the perfect spice level. The curry poutine was so yummy and the ramen looked amazing, my friend finished it all. Everyone was very friendly, including buss boys, bartenders etc.

Yelp
Food 9/10 Ambiance 10/10 Service 6/10 Love the decor and aesthetic of this place. The inside/outside touch was perfect the day we went. The bao buns had great flavor, but didn't blow me away, I got the spice plate to add some extra umph to it. We sat at the bar and the bartender was less than attentive but very nice.
google avatar

Manuel G.

Yelp
5 stars well deserved... it's like the food is infused with the flavor, the korean fried wings, the poached chicken salad, the roti canai, the fried shrimp with the curry sauce, all in every bite were masterfully crafted. All smiles in the staff and the decor is incredible; charlotte has really unique restaurants and this one impressed me.

Yelp
Visited Hawkers in a Thursday evening around 5. They were not too busy and the space is very large with outside seating as well. Staff was friendly and greeted us. It being my first experience our waiter explained that there was not particular order food would come out. We received our first dish quickly and it was hot. Had the Paloma 5/5, CKT 5/5 perfectly cooked noodles with so much flavor, KFC 5/5 super crunchy! Also had the naked wings with honey sriracha 5/5, bulgogi 5/5 (add rice), eggroll 4/5 and duck bao 2/5 duck was dry and tough so was not able to really enjoy. Near perfect experience and our waiter Austin was amazing! Def recommend!

Stephanie A.

Yelp
Not my first time here. For sure not my last. But it is my first time getting delivery. The food is amazing. Anything you get is going to have flavor, complimenting textures, and the smell alone will make your mouth water. My favorite thing are the Korean Twice Fried Wings. They do have a little kick to them but milddddd. I dream about these wings . But seriously they are delicious. The bao buns are so fluffy! The chicken on these particular bao buns were extra crunchy, so not my favorite. I will say... I hope they bring back the duck fried rice me and my fiance would sometimes go JUST for that. If you go in person there is no parking lot directly attached so you have to find street parking or walk from a parking lot. Just a heads up.

Yelp
Loved the vibe of the place - was very artistic/hip looking. Food was yum, I definitely recommend the bao buns.

Yelp
Ate here on a solo date and loved it! It's pretty loud but I had my headphones in, but I imagine if you were here with other people it might be hard to hear conversations haha. My server was very kind and checked in often. Most of the food came out quickly, the curry duck noodle took a minute and by the time it came out I was full haha. LOVED the roti canai and I wish I bought 10 orders so I could take it home haha. I would definitely recommend getting that with an extra order of the flatbread. Kimchi was good but I didn't love how it was chopped up to small pieces. Cucumber salad was also good! I loved the korean twice fried wings and have only good things to say. The curry duck noodle was good, but i did get tired of it after a few bites.

Yelp
I arrived here around 2:30pm on a Saturday afternoon to get some lunch. I came in a group for my brother's bachelors trip. I ordered the twice fried chicken which Came out fast and was so delicious and crispy. It matched the amazing aroma! Someone ordered a bottle of saki for the tablet. To be honest, after the night we had prior, I wasn't feeling alcohol at all I did try it and it wasn't bad tho. One of my friends got stuff on shirt and the waiter just so happened to have tide pen, which was great. Overall, it was a good atmosphere and a good vibe. Waiter was attentive and service was quick. I would return! I'll add that it's close to a train stop, which makes it more convenient!

Yelp
The manager reached out immediately after my initial review to ensure customer satisfaction and rectify the issue. And I'm happy to say Hawkers officially regained my trust (even though I was already planning to return). Their quick response shows a real commitment to customer service, which can be hit or miss in the restaurant industry these days. I truly appreciate the effort and I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
The Roasted Duck Baos need more meat. The Roti Canai was good. The Chuan Jerk Wings and Steak and Kimchi Fried Rice were just TOO SALTY. Too bad we couldn't get the Basil Fried Rice because they didn't have basil. The Curry Laksa Ramen was too light. It needs that rich flavor and it's lacking. Not even one thing gave me a wow or I want to come back feeling. Disappointed. Nothing special about the food. Our server was nice and attentive to our waters. My favorite thing about this place was the ambiance. Love just looking around and seeing all the details in this place. It was cool.

Yelp
Just hit up this Asian fusion spot, and let me tell you--BABEEEEE, it's TOP TIER! The food was great, but the dessert? Absolutely next-level. I loved every single bite! From presentation to flavor, it was perfection. I've been to a lot of Asian fusion restaurants, but this one stands out in every way. If you're a dessert lover like me, you HAVE to check it out. #SweetToothSatisfied #AsianFusionFlavors #DessertGoals #thedaikanexperience.com

Yelp
I tried Hawker's when I was visiting Charlotte for work. I thought it was very good! Not the best I've had but super tasty. The soup dumplings were good but not enough broth. The roti canai was excellent. Tofu bites good but maybe needed a sauce. Chili cucumbers were great as well. Service was just okay IMO. Our server never gave us plates so we had to ask and didn't really come back to check on us. Also, we had been done for awhile and I had to flag someone down to get our check. Cool/trendy place overall though. I likely would go back.

Yelp
The ambiance is nice with the option of indoor/outdoor dining. It was nice out and so we opted to dine outside. Note: this place is CARD ONLY! I came with cash and no card and found out real quick. This was a first for me considering the uptick with fraud, I often prefer to pay with cash when I can. The food was good tho. I ordered some wontons and chicken lo mein. Both were really good and super flavorful. It was filling and I ended up taking the rest to-go. Paid about $25 total. My coworkers cup was dirty with lipstick from a previous diner. Staff was nice.

Yelp
I absolutely loved the overall vibe. The décor was visually stunning and and thoughtfully designed. The food and drinks were excellent! We especially enjoyed the Xiao long bao, duck bao, Panang Curry Fries, Korean wings, and kimchi! The only dish that didn't quite meet our expectations was the five-spice green beans. Service was attentive and accommodating, and we truly appreciated that they were able to seat our family of three comfortably with a high chair. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
This terrific restaurant in South End serves up tasty Dim Sum, rolls, noodles, curry and other Asian Street dishes in a fun, laid-back setting that will make you feel like you just walked in off an alley in Shanghai. The Pad Thai I ordered was excellent, and the Spring Rolls were flavorful and delicious. All the dishes are sized for sharing, so bring friends, family or a date and sample away. Service was prompt and friendly, and there's lots of seating inside and out, as well as at the inviting, oversized bar. And Hawkers serves up some fantastic cocktails along with wine, Japanese whiskey, saké and local craft brews. I really enjoyed their refreshing Margari-Thai, with Corazón tequila, Cointreau and mango. We absolutely loved Hawkers, and will definitely be back again. It's a fun, unique and delicious addition to Charlotte's increasingly diverse cuisine scene, and highly recommended!

Yelp
Husband and I came last night and ordered the chili wontons, the twice fried Korean wings and the duck egg noodles. the wings and noodles were great, I personally didn't love the wontons - I have had better at other restaurants. These weren't bad but weren't super flavorful in my opinion. The drinks were good. We had a tigers tail and hibiscus fizz. I debated included this but as soon as our food came out, we had a bunch of fruit flies around us that we had to keep waving away. I will say, I have a food allergy to peanuts and many of the dishes on this menu included peanuts. I shared with the server that I had a food allergy and I felt very confident that I was safe. He told me which dishes I could order without the peanuts. If our food was brought by someone other than our server, they all made a verbal note that there were no nuts included in the dish. This made me feel very comfortable and is not a standard practice so I appreciate this! In my opinion, it was quite expensive but small plate style restaurants usually are.

Yelp
Another great experience at Hawkers. Their food is amazing. Today we only had appetizers because we were in the area for shopping the outdoor vendors. We sat outside because I had my dog with us. While it was hot we sat under a fan so we were fine. If you have never been I recommend Hawkers. I promise they will not disappoint!

Yelp
Went for a girls night. Ordered mostly apps to share. Food was yum, especially liked the poutine and roti! Trendy restaurant. Good service, there when you need it. Would return!

Yelp
Wife and I stopped by a while back and forgot to post the review this spot. It's a really hip place with immersive decorations, pretty cool and clean. We sat at the bar and had prompt and friendly service for food and drinks.good vibes here. Everything we ate was delicious and there wasn't anything on the menu I wouldn't try. Will be back to delve more into that menu!

Yelp
Food is average. The service might be the worst In town. The food does not come out at the same time. Awful date spot.

Yelp
Went late one night - had the roti and a noodle dish. Everything was super flavorful! It tasted like Asian night market food! The manager was super friendly - a few of the things we wanted weren't available. It is pretty "buzzy" at night.

Yelp
Great spot for app hopping! The noodles here are always on par and the staff always have amazing personalized recommendations. The vibe of the restaurant is that of an upscale but approachable chain. Love it here!

Yelp
I came looking for a unique gluten free lunch and that's exactly what I got! Their gluten friendly guide online was so helpful and easy to look at. The dish I ordered was delicious and the perfect portion as a small girl who alwayssss needs a to go box. I sat at the bar and the server was very attentive and had my drink and food out quickly. The lychee matcha lemonade was sweet and refreshing! Super cool interior decor that fit the street food feel without feeling tacky!

Yelp
Massive Letdown - Frozen Food, False Advertising, & Zero Quality Control I don't understand the hype around this place. The only positive was the service--friendly and attentive--but the food was a major letdown, especially for the price. If you've never experienced authentic dim sum, you might not notice how wrong this place is doing you. But as someone who knows - and deeply respects - this cuisine, I found this experience borderline offensive. This isn't just mediocre food; it's a disrespectful attempt of traditional dim sum and Asian street food culture. The SOUP DUMPLINGS are advertised as a "generations-old recipe," tasted straight out of a frozen bag--because they *were*. When I asked the server, she confirmed they were frozen store-bought. For $13, you get a few mediocre dumplings identical to the ones you can buy in bulk at Costco for a fraction of the price. Why pay restaurant markup for something I can (and would rather) steam at home? The LU ROU FAN was equally disappointing. The rice was bland, and the pickled mustard greens had a revolting, almost rancid taste--like what I think trash juice at the bottom of a container would taste like. I usually love pickled mustard greens, but these were inedible, and I had to pick them out one by one. To make it worse, the dish was supposed to come with a **soft-boiled egg**, but it arrived cut in half clearly hard-boiled instead. I had to ask for a correction--does the kitchen not check what they're serving? Lastly my coworker ordered the DUCK BAO and shocking... it was another fail. The bao itself was rubbery and chewy--like it had been nuked in the microwave instead of steamed fresh. The menu promised "fluffy" bao, but this was the opposite. The duck meat was "okay", but not enough to save the dish. Overall, nothing tasted fresh or thoughtfully prepared. ALL the food had a pre-made, frozen, store-bought quality, which is unacceptable for these prices. Save your money--this place is not worth it.

Yelp
So good. Fair prices. 100% would recommend. Comfy seating, nice workers, and 10/10 food. Menu also has a good variety of options.

Yelp
I feel like Hawkers has been popping up quite a bit in various states I've traveled to over the last several years, and it's always a nice surprise because I know I'll be able to find something tasty on the menu. This time around, I was in Charlotte and having a hard time deciding what to eat until I came across Hawkers. My go to's are the twice fried Korean wings, roti canai, and chili crisp wontons. I tried some items I haven't before on this trip, the summer rolls and the Lu Rou Fan (braised pork belly, pickled mustard greens, and a soft-boiled egg, over rice). The summer roll was fresh for sure, but they definitely skimp on the shrimp. I really enjoyed the rice dish, it was savory, sweet, and sour. There was a little too much sauce over the rice, I'd get that on the side next time, but overall a very comforting dish! I ordered delivery and the quality was pretty good on arrival.

Yelp
First time going and loved it. The flavors were amazing. Had the BEST server, Ke. She was so nice and knowledgeable of the menu. Loved the music and decor also. Such an interesting and delicious place!
