A MUST HAVE!! 11/10 amazing food!! I ordered the Corn beef breakfast And my fiancé ordered the biscuits and gravy with over easy eggs! We also got the loaded grits with an Irish Coffee!! And let me tell you! The food was absolutely delicious!!! We attended Saturday morning after work! There was a small crowd in front but we put our name on the list and was seated within 30 mins ! I must say the atmosphere was pleasant and i enjoyed the plates and cups used, instead of the same generic dinnerware. All the plates and cups were different and of variety which made it feel like a home away from home! Plus service was amazing and the ladies working were extremely friendly!

I don't know really where to begin...Went here as it was close to shopping we were doing in Vacaville and highly rated. The wait was a little over fifteen minutes and there was a lot of people at around 11 A.M. on a Saturday. The menu was innovative. The flavor is just spectacular.I ended up getting a Fiesta Omelet which was half the size of the plate. Such great flavor I really hated adding a little bit of hot sauce. My wife had the Belgium waffles which were absolute heaven. Good thing we don't live in Vacaville, as this place is dangerous 😉. Will definitely be back.

Went on a Saturday morning and had about a 20 min wait. Cozy vibe with lots of historic decor. California omelet was solid. Hash browns were not crispy enough for my liking, and sourdough was not sour enough. French toast was amazing and would recommend! Service was great. They were friendly, quick, and they kept our coffee full. Prices were average. Parking was tricky near the restaurant, but there are free lots nearby that are a short walk away. Would come back just for the French toast!

We found this Cafe on Google maps and I had never heard of it. It had 5 stars and we wanted Breakfast. We only had to wait 2-3 minutes before we were seated and the service was great. Mary was exceptional and friendly. Ordered the Waffle, eggs, Rosemary potatoes and bacon along with a side of grits. 2nd order was Dollar pancakes, eggs and bacon and Rosemary potatoes. Food came out quick, was cooked perfectly and was delicious! I highly recommend the Cafe for Breakfast. And it wasn't super busy we got there at around 11am.

Cozy, Hometown Café with Great Breakfast and Friendly Service Heritage House is one of those classic local gems that makes Vacaville feel like home. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and exactly what you want from a breakfast spot — cozy booths, friendly servers, and the smell of coffee and pancakes in the air. The food is always comforting and satisfying. The portions are generous, everything tastes homemade, and it comes out hot and fresh. I’ve had their omelets, pancakes, and country potatoes — all delicious. It’s hearty comfort food done right. Even when it’s busy (which it often is on weekends), the staff stays upbeat and attentive. They always make you feel like a regular, even if it’s your first visit. If you’re looking for a laid-back breakfast or brunch spot with great service, good coffee, and that small-town charm, Heritage House is the place to go.

My server had a warm and inviting disposition. She also has an amazing English accent! My food was exactly what I expected…delicious. My 1st time, but NOT my last!

I am new to the area and decided to try this restaurant. Atmosphere was pleasant, food was great, had French toast with my omelet. There was only a 2 dollar charge for the upgrade which I felt was very reasonable in today's environment. I was seated as soon as I walked in, a large HOT coffee was served quickly, food came very fast, and was hot and freshly made. Maria was very friendly and accurate with my order. I do recommend this restaurant.

Google
First time visit today with Family! Celebrating my husband’s 71st birthday. We were a party of six adults and two toddlers. Everyone ordered something different from the (breakfast and lunch menu), and no one was disappointed. We were all very pleased !!! The staff was timely and the service was fantastic! The owner, Mary was also very hands on and was cordial and accommodating. I would definitely revisit Heritage Cafe and I highly recommend…you won’t be disappointed. Happy Customer

Yelp
I was seated immediately. Order of two weeks over medium, hash browns, and rye toast. I was served in less than five minutes! Eggs: perfectly over medium Hash browns: maybe could have been a little more crispy but they were delicious Toast: HUGE slices. Unbuttoned with plenty of parts of butter My wait person, Maria, was kind, pleasant, and efficient. Though she was busy, she checked in with me several times. If I ever need breakfast in Vacaville, I will eat here.

Yelp
If you're looking for that good old-fashioned American diner feel, this is the place. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with nostalgic Americana décor--think Route 66 signs that take you right back to the golden days. It's a smaller spot, so it may be a bit snug if you use a walker or wheelchair, but there's plenty of room for families or larger groups to sit together and enjoy a hearty meal. Plus, there's free street parking, which is always a nice bonus! The menu is exactly what you'd hope for--extensive and comforting. I went with the Denver-style omelet breakfast, and let me tell you, the portions are generous. I couldn't quite finish my potatoes, but if you're someone who likes to get their money's worth, you'll be pleased. They serve locally roasted coffee in large mugs, which is a nice touch. Though the coffee was a bit too acidic for my taste, it's great to see they support local roasters. Just be aware that with the large mugs, your coffee might cool off before you get a refill. All in all, it's clear this place is a neighborhood favorite--and for good reason. Great portions, friendly service, and that timeless diner charm. Perfect for a casual weekend breakfast or lunch with friends.

Yelp
If you know? You know! Now if you don't know go and try it then you will know. You won't regret it.

Yelp
Delicious breakfast spot! We stopped by Heritage House in Vacaville and absolutely loved it. The biscuits and gravy were comforting and full of flavor -- definitely a standout! My husband raved about the French toast and enjoyed the Rosemary potatoes, though the rosemary was a touch strong for my taste. I really liked the gravy and chicken apple sausage -- both were perfectly cooked and flavorful. Great service, cozy atmosphere -- we'll definitely be coming back again!

Yelp
Been here twice now and Place is decent for a sit down and chat but food was honestly not that good. Customer service was awesome and friendly but again food is about a 5 out of 10. Bread was better than the sausage and eggs I ate. If you're looking to focus on convo more than food then this is a great option. French toast was bland but aight. Will I go back again? Maybe, Maybe not. Just my opinion.

Yelp
Was worth the wait and hype. I think we waited longer to be seated than to be served. Food came out Hot and Fast. Amanda was amazing. Pancakes were delicious. Country Fried Steak was homemade. Not pictured. The Full English was great as well.
google avatar

Pamela D.

Yelp
Honestly nothing bad or negative to say, I think maybe it was over hyped to me and the line out the door got me excited. Older outdated vibe not bad just seems same cups, plates and cheap silverware. Food was ok, didnt "wow" me and service was ok. Waitress wondered around a lot but had to be called over when needed.

Yelp
As a vegan, I've learned not to expect much from traditional breakfast spots--usually it's just toast or country potatoes. Since this place has more of a classic diner vibe, my expectations were even lower. So I can't really fault them for not having dedicated vegan options. That said, I really appreciated that our server went out of their way to let me know the grits could be made vegan by skipping the butter. I ordered those with a side of potatoes, and honestly, it was simple but tasty--and I was glad to have something to eat. If you're vegan, this isn't a place I'd go out of my way for. My non-vegan friend enjoyed their meal, so it may be worth checking out if you're dining with mixed company.

Yelp
We came here several months ago and my best friend couldn't stop talking about their homemade corn beef hash so we drove an hour to come back with family and everything was freaking amazing from the servers to our food. Our overall experience was awesome. Definitely come for the food, but one of the servers and I can't remember her name but she is hilarious

Yelp
It's a very solid home style American cafe. I've passed by Heritage House Cafe so many times but on the weekends the lines are so long. We finally got to try it when we had an early morning (8:30am) and snagged a table without a wait. The interior is small. The decor is mixed with some western themed items. Our server was Lena. Service was very good. We were checked up on a good amount. The food and check and boxes came in a timely manner. We ordered the blueberry pancakes and a California omelet. The portion sizes are big! I had leftovers for lunch. You get your moneys worth here. You likely will not go home hungry here. I chose for my sides pancakes and the rosemary potatoes. I nearly filled up just eating the pancakes. Generous portions of the rosemary potatoes. The omelet itself tasted exactly like the description. It's nice to finally be able to try this Vacaville staple. I wouldn't want to wait in the long weekend lines, but if we were up early and wanted breakfast I'd consider this a good choice.

Yelp
Food zero flavor and chilaquiles not authentic . biscuit was delicious. Potatoes were delicious, but hard as a rock

Yelp
Alright I wanted to write a review after I gave myself a few hours to process the experience, so here goes. After hearing and reading some positive reviews about the place, my wife and I decided to eat there this morning. As we drove up we noticed around 12 people waiting outside, so I'm thinking, that's a good sign, right? People are taking the time wait to be seated, so the food must be decent. After signing in, we waited 36 minutes for a table for two. As I observed inside, they had 4 empty tables, yet people were still waiting outside. ok, I'm giving them some grace since we just got out of church and we were really hoping for a flavor filled breakfast. We sat down after our 36 minute wait and ordered a carafe of Hawaiian mimosa's. Flat champagne and low quality fruit juices combined together to mimic some sort of Hawaiian mimosa. My advice, stick to fresh orange juice and take the other 7-8 choices off your menu. Do one well and we'll be impressed. Food order, received and bang!!!!!!, no flavor what so ever. Eggs cooked wrong and no seasoning. Very poor cafe, won't go there again. Reminded us of an IHOP. Would have been more satisfied with a breakfast burrito at Taco Bell.

Yelp
Found everyone's next breakfast spot! Great location in downtown Vacaville with fast and friendly service. The food is great tasting with quality ingredients. So many options to choose from. Also nothing like a good old fashioned cup of coffee! Check them out

Yelp
Cute little brunch spot in downtown Vacaville. Beware of wait times as they get quite busy. Waitress was attentive and nice. Fast service which is great as you can wait up to 20-25 mins. Some of the best biscuits and gravy I've had ! Food tasted a bit greasy but was good overall !
google avatar

Yelp
The food was just standard. I got the Irish coffee and the coffee was watered down. So not a fan. And as for the corn beef hash it was just okay. Nothing to go wow this is good. As for my boyfriend's Bloody Mary, he said it was also bad and watered down. As for his breakfast Mexican burrito, that was the only thing that he enjoyed and liked.
google avatar

BreAuna P.

Yelp
The toast was semi burnt and there was no butter on it so it was really dry. The potatoes were completely burnt and tasted horrible and they used entirely too much rosemary. I kinda felt like I got jipped on my eggs. Seemed more like 1 and a half eggs vs 2. I will say that I appreciate the fact that they put the gravy on the side and the chicken fried steak was pretty flavorful, however that was the only enjoyable thing about the meal.

Yelp
Epic "FAILURE" in Customer Service! My, daughter, boyfriend and I recently this past Sunday arrived right when they opened and two other customers were behind us. I'm truly not one to exaggerate as you can view any of my reviews of other Businesses. So, after we were seated NO waitress came to our table and asked us if we would like anything to drink while we looked at the menu. After, 15 minutes I asked the young Busboy if we could get something to drink? He, graciously took care of us. From there on, we NEVER received any waitress service! They, clearly ignored us and provided service to the customers that were behind us. Graciously greeted and provided service to them while ignoring us. We, had heard and read nothing but great things about Heritage House Cafe! Well, not by us! The one star is for the fact the Busboy helped us (5 Stars for him)! Also, this review Does not reflect the food as we never had the opportunity by the epic failure of the waitresses. So, we left. Hopefully the Owners see, this review and address accordingly of the Service, we did not receive.

Yelp
Very yummy food and definitely worth the wait. My favorite part was the bull picture in the bathroom :)

Yelp
Always have an amazing experience at Heritage House!! The staff is friendly. The food is always quick, consistent and they are always willing to make dietary accommodations for our large family. It is definitely our go to breakfast spot.

Yelp
10 STARS!!! Can I just this has been the best experience of my life ever!! Lena was our server and she was so nice and kind, we didn't feel rushed at all. We were expecting a little bit of a wait, we arrived round 10 am and it's a breakfast only spot. Walk right through the door, straight to the table, order drinks instantly and while taking our order drinks are walking out! Wow. We get done ordering our food, I'm not even done adding sugar to my coffee when all our plates are getting put down on the table. Wow! Timing was immaculate. Everything was delicious, & flavorful. sour dough bread was crispy, cheese was melty, omelet and meat was fully cooked. Everyone seemed to know their role and no one looked to be rushing. No negative vibes from the staff or customers. We were all there to have a good time. This might just be our new favorite spot! They have 2 hr parking just outside their door; place is small and cozy but not crowded. And did I mention how amazing the food was!! Wow! We had to order some to go and it came out in like a minute too.

Yelp
If you want great fish and chips Heritage House is the place. A large piece of fresh cod with an order of fries, awesome stuff

Yelp
Really enjoyed our visit to heritage house cafe, Particularly enjoyed the sweet potato hash, absolutely sublime. Staff were informative and great fun to be around. 100 percent will visit again.

Yelp
We loved our food, the ambience, and Catherine was a doll! My daughter made her a picture and she put it on the wall for display.

Yelp
Oh heritage house, how come we never met until today. I had such a lovely experience at your establishment. First, I noticed immediately, chairs for patrons waiting to be seated. How kind! Especially, coming from a disabled person whose unable to wait. Wait time was fast sat down ordered food and food came within minutes. As if the waitress poof appears on the table. Food was delicious, crowded with chatter of various conversations. Cute coffee mug, attentive waitress. Seems that u have adopted a regular! Thank you for the breakfast, certainly won't be my last time.

Katie B.

Yelp
I'm local grown and had absolutely no idea about this place. 10/10 overall. Super small and cute, mom n pop kind of joint. Coffee was fresh and piping hot. Food came out fairly quickly and every table was full. If you're thinking about getting the Full English. Nike that- just do it. I got the apple sausage as the meat choice. Every component of the plate was a delicious explosion for my taste buds. The corned beef hash is homemade and the best I've had in a restaurant. Chicken fried steak, waffle, and gravy combo was perfect balance of flavors. This will definitely be my go to going forward.

Yelp
We visited the Heritage House with my cousins who live in the area. My cousins set up a reservation for our family, party of 10 please. This hometown mom and pop feel breakfast house was warm and cozy. Our server was phenomenal. She was friendly and chatted with us throughout our brunch. The kitchen was quick with getting everyone's dishes to the table. Loaded Blooded Mary - I saw it on the menu and had to order it when I discovered it had a baby grilled cheese sandwich attached to it as a garnish. Christmas Sandwich - This inhouse sandwich was filling, hearty and tasty. Cheesey, avocado, ham, etc. Everything was fresh and I enjoyed this breakfast sandwich. I don't know if I'll ever be in the area again. However if you are and looking to enjoy a nice breakfast house while supporting a local business, Heritage House Cafe is a great start. Enjoy!

Yelp
Food The food was delicious. I ordered pancakes and can sometimes barely finish it. This time... I almost ate the whole thing The herb roasted potatoes could have been cooked to a softer texture. But the 3 or 4 that were cooked well tasted ok. I really couldn't taste the herbs. The eggs were done well. It's not too hard. Not too soft. My friend ordered a side of hashbrowns and the waffle combo. She also got a side of hash. She and I get together every other month or so, and when we get together next time, she wants to return, and I am all for it. Service We have very good service. Ambiance This is a mom and pop local establishment and has a very home and cozy feel to it.

Yelp
cinnamon roll (s) possibly from winco? same shape and size but i couldnt complain cause i love them. It's loud inside but pretty good food overall. Food came out very quickly and service was okay.

Yelp
Needed a breakfast stop along I80 and didnt want one of the chains, so we headed to downtown Vacaville and the Heritage House. Easy to spot because of the mass of people waiting outside. Sign up for a table - about a 45 minute wait on Saturday morning. The servers are all very nice and efficient. The food was cooked amazingly fast - maybe about 5 minutes after ordering. I had the Denver Stack which is a Denver omelette smothered in gravy. Yum, so good. Son had the corned homemade beef hash and wife had the Joe's scramble. Both had the biscuit which was freshly made and so good. Highly recommend Heritage House but dont be a hurry. Great place for breakfast and spend a minute checking out downtown Vacaville.

Yelp
Bacon, Brie, Blackberry on Sourdough was awesome! Service was phenomenal! Highly recommended.

Yelp
We came in here with a big group and had the best time! Our server was super fun and friendly! And totally bantered back and forth with the whole family. I wasn't sure what to get but the sweet potato chorizo hash sounded amazing! And after taking the recommended of the server I went for it! It was a little spicy but just the right amount... you didn't feel like your mouth was on fire and you could still taste all the different flavors. Overall it was a fun day and delicious food.

Rae L.

Yelp
Killer breakfast! They do everything right. Biscuits and gravy are a special treat for me and I get them one or two times a year once. Heritage House's are delicious. Service is friendly and food comes out quickly. There is usually a wait on the weekends, but it's worth it.
google avatar

Kait R.

Yelp
Our favorite breakfast in Vacaville! They have a huge menu, everything is delicious. I always go for the blueberry pancake combo. The price is good and the service is always great. Local and family owned. Highly recommend always.

Yelp
This restaurant is very quaint and cozy! Very homelike atmosphere. The food is outstanding and they will modify their specials at very minimal price. The Chicken Sausage with APPLE is simply delicious. The meat lovers omelet is a large portion and served hot! Katherine served me today and was very friendly and approachable. The chefs ‍ are outstanding and deserve a tip of the hat! Please do try this restaurant

Dennis Q.

Yelp
Nice spot in downtown Vacaville Definitely worth stopping by. Good and service were both on point. Must try if in the area

Joanie T.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! We had pancakes, waffles, grits and an omelet with bacon and sausage sides. The food is fantastic... Cooked to perfection and taste like homemade. I highly recommend all of it. We still have loads we'd love to try as they have lots of selections and serve lunch as well.

Yelp
The British proprietor had a London radio station playing, clearly a sign from the universe that I need to head to Old Blighty for excellent candy and to live out my Bridgerton fantasies. Enjoyed the Cowboy (chicken fried steak and gravy atop a waffle and two eggs - $17), but loved sitting at the counter and chatting with the lovely people on either side of me. Felt extremely welcoming, and I was completely charmed. Note: Full English breakfast is served here, as well as grits (both of which I find hard to get at breakfast places in the Bay Area)

Ken S.

Yelp
Best breakfast in town! Food is always perfect and fresh. Literally can't breakfast anywhere else in town. Staff is very friendly and welcoming

Mary H.

Yelp
Love this wonderful downtown cafe! Long time customer, and they never disappoint. Some of my favorites are the sweet potato hash, and the chicken fried steak breakfast plate. The staff is awesome, and the wait is never too long.
google avatar

Yelp
a huge roach was crawling on my sisters table this morning! she began screaming and everyone asked her what was wrong. multiple saw the roach and staff came over to kill it. the roach literally crawled into her plate like he brought the food. staff asked if she wanted them to make her another plate and acted oblivious to the fact that they have roaches! that girl is traumatized! no one else left the restaurant which makes me think this isnt something new. if they have big roaches trust there are smaller ones!!!
google avatar

Mary B.

Yelp
Brunch is always the best at this place! Everything and I mean everything is tastes like we cooked it at our own kitchen. Lots other entrees to choose from - veggie frittata to omelettes to steak sandwich. Service is quick and the wait (always a wait) goes quickly. Pretty packed in the dining area but not super loud that we are yelling across the table. lol One of my faves for sure!!
google avatar

Nikki J.

Yelp
Great breakfast! Cute little place they were busy! The server was nice and half attentive. She was more concerned about completing her closing tasks than the service but that's okay too. I can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Marsena V.

Yelp
I wanted to try this place for a long time. I was unimpressed, Customer service was ooook, she messed up our order 3X and huff & puffed like it was the cooks fault. I took one bite and didn't touch the rest of my food. I ordered an omelette with avocado, rosemary potatoes & wheat toast. Potatoes barely warm & omelette had zero flavor. My daughter said the food was okay, husband loved his waffle. Btw they do not have strawberry topping for waffles, only blueberry.
google avatar

Elise H.

Yelp
Always love the food and service! A little disappointed today that we door dashed because we're sick and my favorite menu item has one ingredient that upsets my stomach and they don't let you give any notes on door dash and they wouldn't answer the phone so I just had to eat it as is.
google avatar

Yelp
A cute and VERY busy brunch spot! We came to visit our friend from LA. The wait was about 20 minutes long, but the food comes out FAST! They're very busy and for a reason! Everything was delicious here, down to the very last piece of bread!
