Garlic Brothers Restaurant and Bar

I forgot about this gem on the water, and wish I took better pics for you all, but know it’s a great location, excellent outdoor seating to enjoy the view, food, company, drinks, etc., great indoor bar, and indoor seating as well. Parking can be tough in the front area, but there is ample parking along the boat marina. As to the food, it’s actually surprisingly awesome. The menu has numerous options, and none have let me down. In the pictures here, I show their shrimp appetizer, bacon-wrapped duck appetizer, and their gumbo. It’s all excellent, especially in Stockton of all places. This place is definitely worth the visit. It’s basically at the end of Benjamin Holt, a minute or two west of I-5. It’s nestled away and easy to miss, but don’t miss it, you’ll thank me later!

Garlic Brothers is one of my favorite restaurants in Stockton. 5/5 for the atmosphere, you can’t beat the marina, with inside and outside seating. I had the smoked salmon pasta with white wine sauce. It was divine! Also the fried ravioli appetizer was great like normal. Being a Saturday night, it was PACKED. Service was a bit slow, but overall it’s about as good as it gets here in Stockton.

Garlic Brothers was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Stockton. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was very pleasant, and the service from our waitress was absolutely fantastic. To top it all off, the dessert was perfect!

Great location in a marina looking over the Delta. Definitely don’t go on the weekends in the summertime gets way too busy. Seems like the waitresses could be a little more on top of their game. Tri-tip dip sandwich was 7/10 very little flavor. The food is usually pretty good. I’d give the food like an 8.5 out of 10. The french fries are made in house. They also have giant fishbowl drinks but they are also $40 so beware.

Today, I visited them on a clear breezy afternoon to grab lunch. I loved my experience. The ambiance was good as well as the phenomenal delta view; the food and drink were delightful and refreshing, respectively. Similarly, its interior layout was spacious with abundant of natural light. And their staff were affable, attentive and professional especially my server who paid attention to my needs. Their menu features a wide variety of pasta dishes, from classic pasta to more adventurous options like Steak and Stone Oven Pizzas. I tried their Chicken Penne and it was creamy and flavorful, and Garlic Parm Fries was lovely, crunchy and warm. Its dipping sexy sauces (ketchup and sour cream) were good. I could taste the fresh garlic and herbs, making each bite delightful. lol. Parking lot available. Prices were reasonable for this type of restaurant. As I finish paying the bill at the counter, a cute young white 5’4” woman with light brown hair (prolly a customer) approached from behind just to compliment my 90’s retro pants. Talking about randomness. And y’all must know, I did not get her digits. Lol. Anyway, back to the review. Overall, this was a good spot to grab lunch. I’d recommend GBR if you’re in town.

Heard great things about this place so I asked my husband to go with me. Parking can be scarce, so try to come earlier. Service was great considering it was VERY busy indoors. Outdoor seating is peaceful (no flies yay). Food is pretty delicious (appetizers more so than entrées). Overall great experience. However, I came home suffering a terrible allergic reaction. I don't blame them as I should've asked if they use a specific seasoning I'm allergic to. Would definitely come back. Btw next door is a delightful little ice cream shop that was delicious too.

Everything was perfect, the food, the service, the place inside, but on the patio when you see the landscape and the boats in the water it's incredible, until you find that there's trash everywhere and it's from the same restaurant... it doesn't take them long to clean up around their own restaurant...🧹

Great atmosphere, and environment. Love the patio which was full and wait on a warm 86 degree day, so opted to sit inside next to the window with a great view of Fourteen Mile Slough. Watch boats and jet skis fly by! Started with the Atomic Balls appetizer. Was good. Not spicy like I was expecting it to be. Needed more seasoning in the Mac and cheese, but had flavor and was a great crunch. I'm a spicy type dude, but not everyone loves my heat tolerance. All good. Sweet sautéed bell peppers and jalapeños give it a great touch. Main course was very delicious! The Addiction. Pork belly fried with white rice with green onions. A NICE malt vinegar, honey drizzle that went on top of the dish. Very flavorful and tasty. Service was quick, prompt and courteous. Very nice atmosphere and would return. Thank you!

We took the boat to Garlic Brothers Restaurant for dinner on a Wednesday night, and it was so much fun! We thought because it was a week night it would be dead, but there were a lot of people, and they had music playing, just a fun atmosphere! Even though it was crowded, we were able to sit immediately. I got the Luna Chick, it was good, but the chicken wasn't spicy like the menu had represented it to be. The beans were INCREDIBLE! Mixed those in with the rice (that also has mango and cilantro in it) and I would have been fine with no chicken on my plate haha. Literally the BEST beans I've ever had lol. My fiancé got the Grilled Pork Steak (Bone-In). I did not try it, but he said it was really good and he ate every last bite! Both our meals are pictured below! Overall we had a a wonderful time. Already planning our next trip, and I'll be ordering a calzone.

The Ambiance is super cute, it kind of has a Tahoe during the summer feel to it if you sit on the Patio by the water it is very nice! Our server Brandon was extremely sweet, on top of it and prompt!! Amazing service. The host also ran out a debit card we left so that was above and beyond thoughtful. The food we got the crunch shrimp with peanut sauce as an app. Sauce was good but a tad spicy. We got the salmon with polenta and garlic mashed potatoes (this place is said to put a lot of garlic in so they certainly have my vote) the salmon was good the polenta could have had a little more salt but it was still yummy. The salad was a steak mixed green one with lots of veggies and it's delicious! I will definitely get something with their steak next time it was cooked to perfection! 10/10!!!

I love the aesthetics of this place. You can sit near the water and the view is great. The food quality has went down and unfortunately our server was very rude. Maybe it was just an off day? The pesto and the artichoke dip were the best thing we ate. I will have to reconsider coming back.

I want to give a HUGE thank you to Gina and Claire for going above and beyond in their customer service. I dined in Saturday afternoon ( my first outing with my newborn), and I was quite nervous and didn't know what to expect since I had a car seat, etc. I was greeted right away by the host Claire and manager Gina. They immediately asked me what kind of chair I wanted for my baby. I answered and they took us to our table, where they rearranged the table and seats to accommodate my baby's car seat. This kind of service absolutely made my experience a great one. This is the customer service experience that makes me want to return. Thank you, ladies! I appreciate you making this first time mom feel comfortable and welcomed.

It had been a few years since visiting this establishment and I'm not sure why. We went today and were seated right away which was great because we were a party of 10 and expected a wait without a reservation. Brandon was our server, he was very attentive and helpful with menu suggestions. He made sure our glasses were refilled before we realized we needed a refill. Very good service. Our food came out quickly and everything was so good! I had the garlic steak sandwich with a side salad, my steak was cooked perfectly as I ordered it. Everyone in our party really enjoyed their meal. This restaurant has a relaxed comfy ambiance. Music is playing but you can still have a conversation with your table, they have TVs in the bar area. Nice views. Can't go wrong. We'll be back.

I've been raving about this place to my Mom for a while. Finally got to take her. When we walked in. She stood waiting to be seated. I told her I'll meet her at the table. I need to use the restroom when I was done and walked out the restroom. She was still waiting to be seated. No one even acknowledged her at the door. A simple "we'll be right with you" would've went a long way. Finally after a good while we got a table, after waiting. About five minutes for a server. I got up and asked for help a manager. I believe ran right over and got our order. He introduced us to another girl who is going to be our server. The food was delicious. Overall the tri tips salad is one of my favorites. We did have to wait for our waters to be refilled. Overall, the food was great. The service is one of the reasons. My mother will not be going back.

Everything went well! The service, food, and the ambiance were all on point. I had the lunch portion of the Chicken Penne, which was plenty and delicious. My bartender (V) and server (Kenzie) made me feel right at home! Everyone was friendly and even gave me recommendations in the area. I recommend!

Service was impeccable here! Dominic was our server and he was astounding! Kept our glasses full we never had to ask! Our food was delivered within minutes after we ordered it. He was very friendly and helpful also. The food here is delicious! I had the pesto and ribs! I love their pesto and highly recommend it! Do yourself a favor and try it! You won't be disappointed! The ambiance here is extremely casual with amazing views of the Delta waters, sunsets, and the marina. We went here for the second time in the last year and both times were equally wonderful experiences. I am not sure how I didn't write a Yelp review last time but made sure I did this time! Check out my photos for more information on our experiences! Warning, parking can be a challenge, even the handicap parking is a good walk from the restaurant door entrance. Just throwing this out there in case you need to plan accordingly. (For example bring the wheelchair instead of the walker). Highly recommend this local small business!

I live minutes away and haven't been in years. I took my son for a birthday meal and was seated immediately by the window with the water view. We got the duck wraps, the fish and chips and my son ordered a pizza which was half off on Thursdays. Well drinks were $5. The waitress was attentive and brought out his bday dessert with a firework style candle. We had a nice meal and will be back.

Loved it. This was our first visit to Garlic Brothers. We arrived boat. We ate inside. Our server was quite pleasant and helpful. Our table of 4 shared the Artichoke Dip appetizer. It was hot and tasty. Three of us had Mai Tais and they were sweet and tasty. My wife and I shared the Grilled Garlic Steak sandwich with Garlic Fries. Wow - really tasty. And garlicky!! If we find ourselves in the area in the future, we'll definitely come back to Garlic Brothers.

Expensive, food generally isn't great. Prices are now so bad, 3 Mac n cheese balls fried are $15 now....

Would only come back for the view. Service was bad. Staff don't give a damn about anyone but the other staff. Food was nasty. Pizza was up there with Chuck E Cheese. Fries wee limp and undercooked. What a waste of money.

I had a good experience here. I rate it 3.8in a half stars however it does not have that option so I round up to 4 stars. My husband and I wanted to eat somewhere near the water and after searching Yelp we found this place. I really wanted oysters so it was perfect. When we arrived, it was pretty empty so we was seated right away outside near the water. Our waitress Monica was very kind and attentive. She had amazing customer service. We ordered the shrimp appetizer which was yummy, the peanut sauce was a pleasant surprise, I really enjoyed the spice. We ordered the watermelon margarita and they were delicious 10/10 I would of had three if we didn't have our son and have to pick up my daughter right after. Food: I ordered the chicken salad and oysters my Salad was good , the lettuce was grilled and the chicken was seasoned well, I gave it a 7.5 because I like when my salad is cold and my chicken is warm. The warm lettuce from being grilled threw me off a bit. The oysters was very tasty I gave them a 8/10 I wish they were bigger and less mushy but they were still good I will order again! My husband ordered the burger and he said it was a 6/10 but also loved his margarita! We ordered a kids pizza for my daughter and she really enjoyed! We will definitely be back!

Giving 3 stars Because my boyfriends dish looked like chicken nuggets but in fish form. He ordered fish and chips which should have been fish planks. Also his fries were either over cooked or recooked old fries. He couldn't eat them.

Food was overly priced as well as drinks. It was decent. The fish bowl was really good. Staff do not seem happy at all. It was like a robotic interaction. I was very disappointed because I'd heard great things about the place. I don't think I would go back. Hope someone reads this and makes some real changes.

New spot we found for after work drinks. Wish happy hour was longer especially on fridays. By the time we got off work & made it to the place, we only had 30mins for half off drinks. Now the happy hour drinks was good, only negative is that it would help of they have a drink menu of drinks that are offered during those times. Because I tried to ordered 3 different drinks & was told no because they were considered for "top shelf" drinks. And the server wasn't no help when it comes to drinks. But my strawberry margarita that I ordered after Happy hour was horrible. Tasted like it was just straight thick strawberry juice. But food was good. Great place for food & vibes.

Always delicious and friendly! Great atmosphere. We always enjoy the pizza and banana bread pudding.

Horrible!!!!!!!!!! They called in an order. They only give us half an order. Had to go back and get the other half and then I was sick for two days. I do not recommend eating there.

Food was cold. Terrible service. The ribs were absolutely terrible I don't know if they make their own bbq sauce there was no flavor the appetizer we ordered the atomic balls and they didn't have enough siracha aïoli had to ask for a side the garlic fries you may as well just said and some fries to my parmesan had barely any garlic. The Coke Zero taste like expired syrup. My husband asked for unsweetened tea thinking it was black tea but it's black tea and some tropical taste that's something they should let you know spent $110 and took food home I can't imagine going back

Great food and friendly, casual hospitality overlooking the Delta. Had an amazing arugula salad with grilled chicken and dressed with lemon vinaigrette. Dessert of bread pudding ala mode was an indulgent experience worth the extra calories! Special shout out to our server, Elizabeth, for her professional, easy-going, and conscientious service.

Came here with family to celebrate my nieces and their great dance performances and it was a nice place to eat with a view. Service was quick and friendly. Got the chicken penne as it was highly recommended by my sister in law. And it did not disappoint. It's a must. The sun dried tomato goes well with it. However it could use a bit of spice. The garlic bread was great as well. Would definitely get both if I were ever to go back.

Went here a couple weeks ago with some friends. The service here is good. Our waitress was really nice and very helpful, she recommended so many dishes to our table. The ambiance was alright. We got seated by the big glass windows. The sun was flashing into our eyes, but shortly after the sun shades came down. The food was really good, definitely recommend trying the fried mac & cheese balls they have, it was really good. I also ordered the pizza they had, very delicious. I am giving this restaurant an overall 4/5 star review. Definitely will be back to eat there again and will definitely recommend this to my friends and family!

I haven't been here in years but not much has changed. Came here to have dinner with one of my good friends. I forgot about the pretty marina views seen from the restaurant, you can also sit out on the patio as well. We ordered the garlic artichoke dip, fried calamari, the Italian hero, and the chubby. We also ordered a fish bowl to share. Everything tasted great and our waitress was awesome and attentive. Would definitely return.

The minute I walked in, I was pleased with the hostess, atmosphere and the view. The restaurant sits on the San Joaquin river. Our waitress was amazing, food was served in a timely manner, waitress was as always there for anything we needed. The food was good and I have no complaints at all

We are here at the Garlic Brothers in Stockton CA. We are from Sacramento On Wednesday is the pasta special. For $4, you can get a plate of delicious pasta with unlimited bread. For an extra $2, you can add a meatball. And for you wine lovers, another $2 will get you a glass of house wine I have been here before and loved it. We decided to take the 40 minute drive to eat here as a family. The food is great. I had the pasta and ribs and know they are great. Service is great and the atmosphere is really outstanding. You can sit near the windows and see the Delta river Atmosphere. 5/5 Location. 5/5 Service. 5/5 Friendly staff 5/5 Food quality and quantity 5/5 Too bad it is not a bit closer since I would come more. Our next plan is taco Tuesdays for $2 each. But that will be next week I highly recommend you patronize this gem here in Stockton Now, how did others rate this 3 stars. I really don't know. But it seems great to me

Great flavors, beautiful views, and wonderful service. I had the Grilled Oysters for starters and the Grilled Salmon bowl for lunch. Both were great, the only reason for the 4 stars. The salmon was a bit dry

I see I did a review about 2 years ago but wanted to update. You cannot beat their prices. They have specials Monday thru Thursday. Monday they open at 4:00 and all dinners are $16! My ribeye steak was amazing and hubby loved his salmon. Tuesday are $2 tacos, Wednesday is $4 Spaghetti with meat sauce and garlic bread, Thursday is chicken breast and lasagna. We haven't made it for a Thursday yet but all of the other meals have been great! Service and the view is always great!

We've been here twice in the last few weeks. No complaints! Nice atmosphere and the food was fine. I assume it was the owner who greeted us both times. You can't go wrong here! I bought a nice T-shirt only $15, no gouging there, fair price. We will be back!

Our experience was excellent. We walked in and was seated right away. Checked out the menu ordered within five minutes. We ordered appetizers, fried calamari and fried prawns which are delicious and was delivered in 10 minutes and our main dish was brought 15 minutes after. I had the garlic butter grilled steak on medium well and it was perfect! After we ate, we stopped by at the smoothie shop outside and got taro ice cream then hit it out to the dock area by the water to watch the sunset and take pictures. it was a really good first experience that we will be coming back with friends and family, and of course very well recommended place to everyone. ( sorry I didn't get to take pics of the food. We were very hungry

Still my Delta go to, a group of morning coffee buddies assembled for a little Christmas cheer. Seating was all ready for 12 of us. Drinks prompt and good and apps are on the way....more to follow. Oh and a Dukedom! ....so the apps came out, I had a nice little dish of greens, grilled red and bellpeppers and topped with three nice pieces of bacon wrapped duck breast. Almost a meal in itself. Others had great looking cheese burgers snd various apps....all pleased!

Friendly, very attentive service. I had the gumbo. It was a favorable, hearty soup but lacked the authentic gumbo flavor that only comes from a deep brown roux. Also, the lights are too bright. Between the bright lights and noise level I felt like I was eating in a school cafeteria.

Came here for lunch & was instantly turned off. I spotted a "service dog" coming out of the kitchen with their owner. The manager came by to see if we needed anything. I canceled my order and left. I'm not used to dogs in the service kitchen of a restaurant and couldn't stay.

Tried the food. It wasn't good and expensive for what you get. There's much better places to eat .

Beautiful day at Garlic Brothers with my cousin. Right away, we were greeted warmly, and we asked to sit outside because it's such a nice, warm day. My cousin was directly in the sun and asked a server if he could move an umbrella closer so she could be more comfortable in the shade and he quickly obliged. The food is excellent. I got the Addiction--deep fried pork belly, rice, and a soft-boiled egg. SO GOOD!! Cooked to crispy perfection. Food, service, and environment were all excellent complemented by a nice view of the water.

Awesome food and big portions for the cost!. First time there and we really enjoyed it. View of the harbor was a nice touch. If you love garlic(as I do) then this is the place for you. A bit too much for my husband as the garlic artichoke spinach dip was the bomb!! Garlic fries were very fresh and not over cooked. We had hamburger, tri tip sandwich with garlic fries and a chicken salad. Salad needed more flavor but it was still very good. Great service! We will be back!
